what is the difference btwn landscape architecture and architecture? =D

So architects design buildings and landscape architects design basically anything outside of those buildings. Public parks & squares, private gardens, Parking spaces, sidewalks and much more.

Landezine is a website where you can find a lot of notable projects & get an idea for what landscape architects plan. Looking in the 'projects' section on there will usually show you a pretty diverse range of projects from different studios.

In university we do have classes together with architecture students, tough that's mostly for basic design & drawing stuff. Most of my classes are specific to outside areas, like 'plant planning' (which plants work for certain areas and how can I include them in those areas?) or 'garden monument care' (researching a historic outdoor space/park/garden by taking stock of what is there right now and finding sources on its history, then evaluating the current state in regards to the original plans / historic layers, and then deciding what needs to be done to honor the history but also make it suitable for the current conditions and use)

The pensive phase continues and I feel it's starting some overdue updates to my approach to more or less every aspect of my life.

I went through an image folder which contains everything I drew between 2008 and 2016, and hoo boy was I productive back then. It was a much harder time overall with heaps of overtime and negative people, but I still managed to create a lot of space for myself. Why is this different now? I have roughly the same amount of personal time, but it leads to much less. Taking a photo of a sketch and pulling it into Photoshop, even coloring it, feels like taking on the world (ordeal pictured above). What happened?

My drumming teacher became one of the most important and helpful people in my life when it comes to questions like these. I only start to realize how right he is when he says: Mind and spirit create reality. Something happened, in me and in my environment, which led to changes, and very apparently, I let them happen. I'm not at fault for everything, but I'm responsible for the way I perceive things, and how I act upon them.

Making and drawing things is something so integral to myself that something rather severe must have happened to lose such a big part of its spirit. It is a peculiar sense of exhaustion that didn't exist back then, despite having a soul-sucking demon spawn as a superior who made me question my value as a human being.

So, what is it? Is it perfectionism? Overthinking? Jadedness? Ageing? One part of the answer is maybe mental overload. I realized that my ability to focus is going to shit, and I'm not even active on any dopamine-rush social media sites. There's a reason why Fuerteventura feels like it's cleaning my senses, and why I feel deeply inspired to draw and do stuff while I'm there. I focus on the things I want to focus on. No Teams strobe light party, no interruptions, no thousand-tasks-juggling, no stupid politics, no ego arseholes I am forced to react professionally to. Mind and spirit create reality, and if my mind is full of ego arseholes and blinking bars, I'm going to have a bad time.

Taking care of such fundamentals may not only improve my personal life, but will also help with the quality of my professional work. Would be a win-win, to use the stupid corporate buzzword.

Day Five (Part 1) Asset Sheet

I put all of my assets into one huge photoshop document, in order to easily export them into Unreal. This file will definitely need to be updated overtime but for now, it works.

Here are all of the assets so far. Tried my best with some animations and stuff, but even if that doesn't go as planned, I still have the basic assets to use.

While importing my assets to Unreal, I didn't separate them properly, so they didn't turn out very correct.

I realised what I had done (I forgot to change the length of the grid to be each individual sprite rather than the whole sprite sheet.) But it is correct now.

And the character has replaced the regular model.

Not too sure why, but when I initially spawn in, the character is sideways as well as when I move, there seems to be an odd motion blur that seems to stretch and blur the character in which ever direction I go.

I have also added sprites to my danger zone and point pick-ups, as well as the Win Condition.

While testing, I did also find a glitch where if you die via the death zone beneath the map, it doesn't reset your points.

Additionally, I had accidentally left collision on for all of world sprites, but have since disabled them.

So for program i use photoshop and sometimes procreate. Also heads up that I use sm brushes on 1 drawings and use different brushes on the next drawings coz i like experimenting so i intend to forgot what brushes i specifically use for some pieces ☠️

For linearts i use this brush but i modified it heavily on procreate n photoshop so it will act like gel pen

For procreate, i commonly use same brush set as photoshop (i’ll link them bellow) and 6b pencil brush from procreate (its a very good textured brush 😭☝️) and hard round brush that i modified w noise texture

For photoshop,

small life update under the cut for you guys , just to clear things up & let everyone know whats going on with me in these next few weeks in case i wind up MIA or smthing due to stress .

i know i don't owe any apologies for simply being stressed out & busy with irl shit as of late ; i know i don't but at the same time i do feel like i should give a lil rundown of my current situation since ive been so sporadic & patchy as of late with my writing & my commissions ontop of messaging ppl . but as of rn , im playing the waiting game to see when my dog is gone essentially bc my parents are looking to rehome him or just outright go & have him surrendered , & as of the 19th of next month my brother will be ( without my moms full knowledge out of fear of her gaslighting him/guilt tripping him ) pretty well moving out & moving across country to live with his dad in missouri , which is something im currently having to deal with & also keep under wraps from my mom & dad . & to cap it all off , i have no dryer anymore & have been working overtime on laundry & having to hang dry ALL of the clothes in the house which is only making me more busy & thinly strung out . all of this stress & everything has left me so entirely overwhelmed , ive started developing stress rashes , ive barely been able to eat more than a meal a day , & im hardly sleeping bc my parents aren't sharing their bud as much anymore bc they " have to conserve it for themselves " . everytime ive opened up photoshop in the past three days its immediately left me ready to cry & panic bc my brain just immediately feels completely overwhelmed & i can't get any work done . im trying to keep myself together though , & get myself back on track as soon as i can . i just felt bad not letting you all be completely aware of my current situation , so here it is just so no one feels or thinks that im upset with them , or that im ignoring or ANYTHING along those lines . life has literally just decided to come at me FULL FORCE with every possible thing ive been terrified of having happen to me all at once & im so so sorry if my absence or anything has left anyone with the wrong ideas or feelings . ♡

Creepypasta Headcanons: Sully Woods

(Note: Some of these headcanons were inspired by the 2015 reboot of Jeff the Killer and one of them was inspired by a rumor based around the Jeff the Killer image)

In my AU, Sully is actually Liu's younger twin instead of an alter or demon possessing Liu.

Like Liu, he is 33 years old as of currently and he is also 8 years old than Jeff.

He is 7 minutes younger than Liu even though he acts like he's older than Liu.

He and Liu were basically inseparable like they were always around each other and never left each other's side for a minute.

Growing up, it was always hard to tell which twin was Sully and which one was Liu so Sully has gotten used to people confusing him for Liu.

Sully has hated Jeff ever since Jeff was a baby because he thinks he was the reason the family fell apart and their dad didn't have time for him anymore due to working overtime.

Before Jeff was born, Sully was taught by his father how to use a BB gun.

Like Liu, he is half Korean and curses in Korea whenever he doesn't get his way or gets very pissed off.

When Jeff and Liu started to bond as brothers, Sully started to get jealous of Jeff because of how close they bonded. So as a result, Sully would do what normal jealous would do and try to get rid of Jeff such as dropping off to live with the Hopkins (their next door neighbors at the time) and shaving off his hair.

As he got older, he got borderline abusive towards Jeff. There was one time he yelled at Jeff and threw his Rubix cube at him for coming into his room in the middle of the night without his permission when Jeff had a nightmare (Liu was at a sleepover at that time).

Sully was a perfect son in his parents' eyes. Always getting good grades, never getting trouble at school, and even winning Student of the Month awards. If there was anything that he could do to make his parents and himself look good, he would do it.

He listens to rock, pop, and rap. The most common song he would play when he's driving his Honda is Pumped Up Kicks as it reminds him of what he will do once he catches Jeff.

He and Jane only get along due to their mutual hatred of Jeff.

He's only nice towards anyone who isn't associated with Jeff.

When Jeff was burned alive by the bullies, the only thing Sully cared about was how damaged Jeff's face would be.

He has a dark sense of humor.

At age 18, he got a scholarship to an art school where he would meet and become best friends with Bloody Painter.

His favorite artists is Van Goug.

Before the night Jeff snapped, Sully at one point photoshopped one of Jeff's photos and made him look like the Joker. He would later plaster it on the internet which humiliated Jeff to the point where he nearly committed suicide. Sully would then say that Jeff was being too sensitive and it was only a joke. This would be one of the reasons why Jeff would snap.

He drives a 2024 Honda CR-V.

During the night Jeff had snapped, Sully would escape the house by sneaking out of the window and left his twin to suffer in the hands of Jeff without noticing.

A year after he escaped from Jeff's rampage, he would later release a autobiography called "Jeff the Killer: A Love for Blood" which tells the Jeff the Killer story in Sully's POV. He twisted the story up by making up lies about Jeff such as being an abusive brother towards Liu and getting addicted to painkillers after getting out of the hospital.

He lives in a penthouse that he bought when his book became an overnight seller.

His favorite food is ramen.

He firmly believes Randy was innocent and that Jeff should've died that night he was burned.

He still loves his twin, Liu while Liu still hates him for everything he has done to him and Jeff.

He doesn't murder innocent people but rather anyone who is associated with Jeff or anyone who tries to debunk his lies. He is determined to keep his crimes secret so he won't have his reputation get ruined.

He smokes as a way to destress.

WHWUAHAHA Hearing you say that and think that for my interpretation // portrayal of Wario means so much more than you think it does for me. It's honestly an honor to hear that I am doing him justice. So thank you⸺ Thank you VERY much. I too cannot wait for Itsuki and Wario to interact. I still think about the plot in my head and the things we spoke about with their possible bond, depending on how things go in RP, but it kills me EVERY time. I may not KNOW who Itsuki is, but shoot I dont think I need to. All I know and need to know is you make her an outstanding joy of a character! Drawing comes more naturally for me so to speak its a lot less brain power as opposed to writing. Also I must give credit where credit is 1000% due, @sangdelune did my graphics, I'd commissioned them to do it. They brought my ideas to life in ways I cannot describe. I've had a month, and I'd like to put that month into words some how. So Maybe I'll do that in a separate post. But I had gotten a bit down on myself after the convention with my art, because I didn't have time to post new art, or work as hard on my comic as I could be, I had been working overtime at work, and I haven't had a free weekend since January. So I went through a bit of depressive episode, and I decided to draw something to cheer me up. Which was Persephone hugging Cerberus. After a photoshop crash and losing a bunch of comic progress I decided to not go back to it and draw a counterpart of Hades with Cerberus.

Anyway. Moral of the story, this makes me happy. And I am no longer in a depressive state because I drew these two dorks with their puppy!

Trump Now Hawking $47 T-Shirts With a Fake, Photoshopped Mug Shot of Himself

It seems Donald Trump and his merry band of grifters have been working overtime, tirelessly trying to cash in on the former President’s indictment.  First, by having sycophants like Lindsey Graham and Rudy Giuliani hit the airwaves and beg MAGA followers to “Please send Donald Trump money!”  Now, after his arrest on 34 felony counts, the Trump money machine is now offering “Not Guilty T-Shirts” to those who make a $47 donation or more.  The tees sport an idyllic photoshopped mugshot pic of the former President.  Meanwhile, MAGA luminaries such as George Santos and Marjorie Taylor Greene showed up at the Manhattan Supreme Court to protest Trump’s arraignment, with Greene comparing Trump to Nelson Mandela and Jesus.

Soooo, it sounds like yet another grift is up and running.  Soon, we’ll have MAGA half-wits sending in all their beer, cigarette, and lotto money to this “billionaire.”  My, my, its Christmas in April.  Now, as far as the Jesus comparison goes, I don’t seem to recall Jesus ever telling his Disciples, “Now, go out and rough up protesters” and that He would “pay all their legal fees,” but what’ll I know?  I mean, where’s it read, “I bid thee, go forth and fuck up those damn Scribes and Pharisees.”  And, who knew that “The Passion of Christ” was all about nailing pornstars?  

The funny thing is, the folks showing up for these Trump rallies are some of the same folks who are really pissed about kids getting “participation trophies,” and yet they continue worshipping a dude who finished “second” in a friggin’ two-person political race.  Hell, I even read they’re claiming Trump is 6’5.”  Oh, hell yes!  Sure he is - if he’s standing on a pile of his indictments or on top of one of those boxes of classified documents he’s been hiding.

You know, Trump supporters love to claim he’s has accomplished more than any other President, and I have to admit they may be right.  After all, 34 felonies is one helluva lot of accomplishments, and it sure looks like there’ll be even more of these “accomplishments” coming down the pipe soon.  Why this has poor Fox News hosts popping Xanax like breath mints.  In all fairness, Trump did work hard to deregulate big corporations whilw he was president.  You know, like railroads and banking.  How’d that turn out?  Perhaps we should ask residents of East Palestine, Ohio, or investors in Silicon Valley Bank for that answer.

WHAT IS THE ROLE OF THE 21ST CENTURY PHOTOGRAPHER? BY GRANT SCOTT

There has been a 'death' of classic/true photography and the rise of digital/post-photography photography

Image manipulation did not start on photoshop, it has been around since the beginning of analogue photography- dodge/burn etc. This was all done by hand.

The choice to manipulate an image is and has always been unto the photographer, however as this decision has become much easier and faster- the question is whether this is necessary. Post production done poorly can quickly become tacky and ruin what might be beautiful photography.

The decision to manipulate an image to create something that was not there when the image was taken means photographs are much easier questioned for realness.

A photographer's job is to create a strong personal visual language and style of photography.

Photographer's have now become editors and publishers. This role has changed overtime, there is now a lot more power in the hands of photographers.

This power now comes with baggage, legal implications, cultural considerations, international sensitivities etc. The photographer must be aware of how their content is going to be viewed and consumed and the context they have chosen to put it with. These are things previously ignored by a photographer and focused on by the publisher.

This is a large responsibility for the photographer and can have large implications on their work.

It is obvious with the changing of times, the photographer can no longer just be a quiet name behind an image, but have personal and ethical responsibility to publish honest and acceptable work.

One of the things that really put me off of my ex was when I lightly suggested that he use a different tool on Photoshop cause he was having a hard time smoothing a photo out.

I literally, verbatim said, nay, whispered: "oh try the smudge tool!" As I was watching him struggle.

He snapped at me (loudly) "what do you know?"

I had been a graphic designer for at least 8 years to that date, loyally using Photoshop for most of that. (He knew this)

We were also at his office where all of his workmates were.

Where I was waiting for him to put down his work (that his superior already mentioned could wait till the next day) as he worked overtime.

I had also been standing for a good 10 minutes cause there was no place for me to sit. (Mind you it was his idea for me to be in the office in the first place, I was patiently waiting at a 7/11 beforehand.)

His superior then had to berate him for not being a gentleman and also went to find me a chair.

I had to wait for another 30 mins for him to speak to me again. (Which I didn't mind) at this point he knew I already had to leave cause I had to get home. I waited for at least another 30mins after that cause he was so "sorry" for making me wait. (He still continued to work as his superiors started to pack and go home, while telling him to go home)

He then had the gall to ask me to stay and chill with him like he didn't just make me wait for about 2 hours for him unnecessarily. (I was waiting for him at the 7/11 for a while already)

He then pouted the entire way to the spot where we would have to go different ways.

CAUSE I DIDN'T STAY AND HANG OUT WITH HIM.

AFTER HE MADE ME WAIT FOR SO LONG.

AFTER HE SNAPPED AT ME IN FRONT OF HIS CO-WORKERS.

TASK 5: Barrambin Site Design

Sketch and Photoshop

This is my mockup for Task 5 Barrambin site specific installation. I think the 2 most significant things that inspired me during the walk, was learning the Indigenous translation of the work Barrambin, ('Windy Place'), and also the uninterrupted views of the Brisbane cityscape. Truly PRIME REALESTATE. Despite not being Indigenous myself, I have a deep respect and interest in the traditional views of country and I think it is important to consider perspectives of the traditional custodians of the lands. There is such a deep rooted knowledge to shared, that grants an appreciate for country and an openminded connectedness to the environment. However, clearly seeing how modern and developed Brisbane has become, through the obvious cityscape, alludes to both positive and negative ideas about modernity and the future. It paints an uncertain future for the space. My idea of using the ready made found object of Queenslander style windows generates this middle ground between modern development and the natural world. Through the window you can view the cityscape and overtime these building may inch closer to the space. However, from the city side perspective, perhaps you could see nature reclaiming urban environments or at least if the park remains green, a portal into the past. I also want the window to be recycled and swinging on a rode supported by queenlander style veranda pillars or simply recycled timber. This would grant the work a moving element as external forces particularly WIND gently rocks the window. This of course links it back to Barrambin, ('Windy Place')

Two artists I researched was MARCEL DUCHAMP, probably the OG in terms of found objects, with his 1917 sculpture “Fountain,” which is a urinal with “R. Mutt 1917” painted on its side. I also researched Indigenous artist JONATHAN JONES specifically her multimedia installation, untitled (giran) 2018, mimics murmurations: a phenomena of nature in which groups of birds fly together in formation. I actually saw this installed at GOMA awhile ago and it was nice to revisit it. also found objects (stones, feathers)

i have like 3 creative/more involved sets that i've started working on recently and will for sure post this month, plus a couple more that i've mapped out and will get to eventually (i often map out sets on paper or in my personal discord server lol), as well as my on-going "in every episode" gif series (eddie, buck faces, and tarlos) that i'm often updating. my brain never stops thinking about gifsets tbh 🤡

i've been posting slightly less often lately, mostly because i've been doing a lot of overtime at work (usually 10 to 25 more hours than my regular 40 hours/week) for the past 2 months and i'm pretty tired. i work from home on the computer all day, so spending all my evenings on photoshop on that same computer is not something i always look forward to, especially in the summer time. and also i think i'm slightly burned out and need to take a little breather, since i had been posting gifset after gifset almost daily for close to a year 😅

Do you love popsicles? don’t eat them very often but yeah definite nostalgia of ice cream trucks with them!

Do you have to hem up a lot of your pants? no actually most pants are short around the ankles cause I’m so tall...I mostly wear my fiance’s pants which at least reach my shoes when standing lol

Do you shop at Goodwill? I have in the past and got some really cool clothes, I haven’t gone in forever so I’m definitely due!

What’s your natural hair color? it was dirty blonde with natural blonde highlights growing up but overtime, especially as I isolated a lot more and mostly stayed inside it got darker so now it’s brown grrr

Do you like your smile? HELL. FUCKING. NO. major trigger for me all my life....

Was the last book you read good? honestly’ I can’t even remember the last book I fully read and finished...I just can’t sit down and read the last several years, too much personal shit going on to where mentally I’m just not into it

Do you make grocery lists? sometimes but most of the time I forget to and just wing it, then again we mostly get the same shit every time so it’s easy 

Do you take walks often? ha no that’s a disaster waiting to happen...my health has severely depleted my physical ability for even basic functions on my feet :(

Does sunlight make you feel happier? yeah especially a nice cool warm day, not too chilly not too hot

What are you most looking forward to this spring? nicer weather, top down doors off backroad cruising in my fiance’s Jeep with music blaring and the wind blowing, and I am DYYYIINNNGGGG to swim! preferably pool but beach works too!

Are you fulfilling your passion in life? nowhere near

Do you daydream a lot? no, more like zone out and get too lost in my head which is never a good thing especially alone which is most of the time anyway...sigh

What are your dreams? fucked up nightmare fuel and night terrors...all the time

Do you take medications? yeah several

When was the last time you went to the doctor? actually last week on March 28th to the cancer institute

What helps you fall asleep? pssh jack shit, I’m an insomniac and when I do actually doze? it’s rarely longer than an hour at a time...needless to say I’m the walking dead

Do you love sushi? GIMME RIGHT NOWWWW!!! I LOVE sushi I’d live on it in a heartbeat if I could!

What’s your favorite type of seafood? pretty much anything, there’s some things I haven’t gotten to try but I’ve got a decent range that I have and I love

Do you have stomach problems? you don’t even know the fucking half of it and can never fully understand unless you suffer like I do every single day. period.

Do you enjoy editing photos? back in the day I did Photoshop quite a bit through free trials but it’s been so long, I don’t know where to even begin especially thinking about how updated it must be now. I’ll occasionally throw a minimal filter on a pic every now and then on my phone but rarely

What was the last photo filter you used? ha wow considering I just mentioned filters...ummm I usually will do like something to do with the saturation in the pic..maybe a bit faded, grayscale, etc. 

Do you live a simple life? not exactly the word I’d use...complicated is better

Do you own a pair of pajamas with foxes on them? nope

Peace signs or hearts? depends, guilty of being one of “those” that early FB days I’d throw up the peace sign a lot in pics lol and pretty much every card (holiday, bday, etc.) I’ll throw in a heart  when signing at the end

What kind of pie is your favorite? cheesecake, hands down

Do you think you could go a whole year without eating dessert? hmm probably yeah, I’m more of a junk food junkie so I can probably make a year without sweet stuff like candy, chocolate, etc.
