Hey guys! It’s been awhile! I know I mentioned this more on Insta but lately I have been struggling with my art and gave myself a mini respite by taking some time to keep some drawing to myself. Besides that I got busy with everything I’m learning for my job as well as celebrating my birthday and teaching myself Procreate dreams so I can have it down by the time I continue doing Frankenstein animatics in December. So I do hope you forgive me for my absence :)

For the past two years I have been apart of a volunteer club that visits the United Learning Center (ULC) in Phang Nga, Thailand, a school for Myanmar migrant families. I heard so many stories there that moved me in such a way that I promised them that I would tell the world about it. I was honestly astonished that it didn’t have more coverage already. The world had seemed to forget them. So here I drew some of my interactions with them, my friends.

By sharing this post I hope to raise awareness both about the issue in general and to talk about the FED. I have worked with this organization for the past two years and they are the nicest people you have ever met. Their sole purpose is to help the people around them, the people struggling because of this war. They have changed so many lives and will continue to change more. But any and all help is appreciated, and I urge you to do whatever you can to do so.

Let me just start by saying that I do think there is more to all this than what we are being shown and I do think Nic and Luke are together. But I am curious your thoughts on this push of the adjacents? Ok, Nic may not necessarily be pushing it, but in my opinion, she is at the bare minimum leaning into the JD storyline. I guess I’m just questioning why now? Do you think it’s simply because they are just not ready to go public and are using these “relationships 🙄” to distract? I’m starting to wonder if these sudden J and A storylines might be because Nic and Luke want us shippers to back off? I mean we have Nic with her “my buddy” and “my dear friend” and Luke with his appearances with A.

But then I start doubting that too for a few reasons. I mean, they are both adults and could just ask fans to stop shipping them if it’s what they really want. Also, to us, we are so entrenched in it that I think alot of us believe that everyone is shipping them but I think it’s actually a small group of folks that are still on the ship in comparison to the Bridgerton/Polin GA. And I think the vast majority of us keep to our quiet little corner of the internet and keep our shipping discussions to like minded blogs, so it almost seems like they would have to be searching for the shipping discussions. Not saying that some people aren’t loud as fuck about it and posting/commenting on all their insta posts, but I am just saying most are shipping respectfully. And the last reason I will mention that I don’t think they care if we continue to ship them is because it’s always this same pattern: Nic/Luke start sharing stuff almost as a warning that something is coming, then we get hit with adjacent pap pictures or something, then we get what seems almost like coordinated posts that could be seen as a hint that everything is fine.

Or they just really are with these people and we have read everything so very wrong. Which I know is always a possibility. But at the same time I find it so hard to believe. Anytime we see Luke with A, he just genuinely doesn’t look like a man happy and in love. But then we see him with Nic and it’s like everything fits together perfectly. And I won’t even mention Nic and J because it just makes absolutely no sense to me.

I’m so sorry to have rambled on for so long. I guess I’m just feeling v confused and don’t have anyone to talk to about it. 🫨🥴 I would just love to hear your thoughts on this if you are willing to share.

The fact that there’s an established pattern here that a lot of people are aware is proof enough imo.

These things wouldn’t continuously happen like this if they were just out there “living life” in these pictures.

People really struggle with this when they only look on the surface level. These pics work on the GP who don’t actively participate in the deep fandom where these things are discussed which I believe is the goal.

They want people to believe they’re in other relationships currently.

Why?

I don’t know. I would like to think things are coming to a close soon but maybe they have deals they need to settle before then. Certain things need to be played out before that happens.

Maybe they don’t want to come out period, idk but I wish they would make that more known so I can go 🤣 because I’ll be so real I wanted to jet earlier this week because it’s starting to feel just a bit ridiculous and like we’re never going to reach a conclusion.

"What if I just punch them in the face?"

"Madre mia, I don’t wanna be together with a criminal!" Lamine's humorless laughter sounded forced as he leaned against the couch, the living room unbearably silent after he had just said that. The mocking grin on his face slowly faltered as he stared at the ceiling, feeling the exhaustion of the match wash over him.

The game against Las Palmas was supposed to go smoothly, yet instead, he got fouled. It wasn’t even a foul in the referee's eyes, although the opponent clearly stepped on his feet.

The remote control was thrown to his side as he heard you stand up from where you previously had been kneeling down, heading into the kitchen. Lamine took it off of the sofa and looked at the television, just to see a first aid kit on the table.

He bit the insides of his cheeks as he stared at it for a second too long, then leaned forward to see how bad his injury was. The bandage around it was slight stained with blood, making him groan in frustration.

'We won the match,' he tried to tell himself, his hands on his knees as he struggled to not let the tears fall down. 'Why am I upset? Why am I the one getting angry? The one getting fouled?'

"Lamine?" Your voice made him snap out of it, raising his head to see you holding a cup of tea in your hand. The said person parted his lips to speak, to find an excuse as to why he was acting like this, but not a word left from his mouth.

Nonetheless, the tears did roll down his face.

"Y/n…" His voice came out weak as he lowered his head and hid himself with his hands, wiping the wet tears away as he silently cried. You placed the cup down and sat beside him, not knowing how to comfort him.

Your gentle touch (which was in reality just a hand on his shoulder) made him cry his heart out, feeling so irritated by the enemies and everything that was happening. The media was making him look bad, he’s not improving at football and he can’t even concentrate.

Is it even worth it?

"Assholes…"

"Exactly!" By accident, you had said it out loud, making him tense up for a moment before he looked at you, staring at you as if you were an alien. You didn’t know what to do, so you just continued. "I mean– they’re grown men, attacking a soon to be adult. They’re acting like maniacs! Why didn’t you just slap him in the face?!"

The following silence was awkward for you, but Lamine merely connected the puzzle pieces, albeit a bit slow.

"You're… right," Lamine spoke up after an eternity, more tears flowing down his face, yet the ends of his lips slightly twitched. How come were you, his girlfriend, who had a bad reputation for getting into street fights and being a rude person any of his haters, telling him things, that were supposedly common sense? "Why didn’t I?"

"Yeah! Why didn’t you? Do you want me to do it for you?" A little giggle escaped from his mouth as soon as you said that, which turned into a full blown laugh, now wiping tears of joy away.

"Baby, don’t go and kill them just because of this!"

"Just because? Boy, you must’ve lost your mind!" Laughter filled the living room with sounds as he was pushed down the leather couch, his back hitting it as you landed on top of him. You both yelled at each other, with him trying (and failing) to persuade you to not hurt his rival, whereas you were determined to pay them a visit and kick them in the face.

Once it died down, Lamine struggled to catch his breath as he stared at the ceiling, knowing that he must be looking like some idiot with messy hair, a bandage around his right foot and an odd smirk on his face.

But you had multiple bandages around your body, specifically your arms, and your hair was put into a low bun, so as long as you were weird, then he didn’t mind matching with you.

"If anyone, and I mean everyone, ever tries to foul you like that again, I'm expecting you to either curse out their entire bloodline, or you just slap them," Your statement made him wrap an arm around shoulders, pulling you closer as he admired the smirk on your face. Even though Lamine knew that it was wrong, the comfort of you supporting him was making his heart melt, especially if he was too anxious to do so.

"Mhm, totally," His voice came out quiet as he placed a soft kiss on your forehead, which somehow got you all flustered as you frowned and tried to kiss him back. Another chuckle left from his lips as he gazed below you, hugging you tightly as he nuzzled his head into your shoulder.

"Will you teach me how to fight?"

"You don’t know how to? Geez, guess I'm the man in the relationship now..."

Highland- only if I can figure out a way to shape that adorable fuzziness that I liked. This is a struggle I continue to try to figure out with other fuzzy animals in clay as well.

Zebu - now that I’ve done some yaks I absolutely think I could do some Zebu, thank you for reminding me this rad bovine exists.

Miniature Jerseys - the short answer is maybe? I have been wanting to do even teenier cows and they would be a perfect test.

Belted Galloways - definitely! I did some belties a while ago (five years 😅) and would like to give them another go, I actually grew up with belted galloways and they are such sweetie pies.

The acting class was buzzing with energy, the kind of chaos that only improv exercises could create. Y/N and Austin sat off to the side, laughing as a fellow classmate dramatically threw themselves into a fake faint.

“Alright, next pair!” the instructor called out. “Austin, Y/N—you’re up!”

“Oh no,” Y/N groaned, shooting Austin a mock glare. “You better not mess this up.”

Austin smirked, already on his feet and extending a hand to her. “Mess up? Y/N, have a little faith. I’m the king of improv.”

“Uh-huh,” she muttered, letting him pull her to her feet.

The instructor waved a hand at them. “Your prompt is conflict. Hospital setting. One of you is a doctor, the other is a patient who doesn’t want to hear bad news. No script. Just go.”

They exchanged a quick look, and Y/N took the patient’s chair, slouching dramatically as if already defeated. Austin stood over her, arms crossed, slipping effortlessly into a concerned yet firm demeanor.

“Miss L/N,” he started, voice pitched low and serious. “The test results are in, and we need to talk.”

Y/N groaned, waving him off. “I’m fine, Doc. It’s probably just a cold. Or allergies. Or—I don’t know—a bad horoscope day.”

Austin pressed his lips into a thin line, already fighting a smile. “This isn’t a joke. If you don’t take this seriously, things could get worse.”

She sat up straighter, her eyes narrowing. “Why does everyone think they know what’s best for me? You’re not my keeper, Doc!”

“I’m trying to help you!” he snapped back, his voice rising just enough to sound genuine. “But you won’t listen to me!”

“Because I don’t want to hear it!” she shot back, standing up and invading his space, her face inches from his.

The room went silent, the other students leaning in as the tension between them thickened. Y/N’s breathing was fast, her chest rising and falling as she glared up at him.

And then, before she could think, she grabbed his face and kissed him.

The class collectively gasped, followed by bursts of laughter and applause. Austin froze, his hands hovering in the air as his brain struggled to catch up.

But then, like a switch flipping, he softened into the kiss. His hands found her waist, pulling her closer, and for a fleeting moment, the world around them disappeared.

When Y/N pulled back, her eyes wide with realization, her hands flew to her mouth. “Oh my God. I—I didn’t—”

She turned sharply, muttering a quick “sorry,” and made a beeline for the door, her face burning with embarrassment.

But Austin wasn’t about to let her leave. With a burst of speed, he vaulted over a nearby table, earning cheers and laughter from the class. He stumbled slightly but recovered, skidding to a stop in front of her.

“Wait!” he said, his voice breathless but steady.

She froze, staring at him like a deer caught in headlights. “Austin, I—I didn’t mean to—”

“You kissed me,” he said simply, his voice quieter now.

“It was the scene,” she blurted out, her words rushed.

“Was it?” he asked, a crooked smile tugging at his lips.

Y/N's silence was all the confirmation he needed. His smile softened, and he stepped closer, lowering his voice so only she could hear. “For the record, I liked it.”

Her jaw dropped, but before she could respond, the instructor called out from across the room, “Alright, break it up, you two lovebirds! Great scene!”

The class roared with laughter and applause, but Y/N and Austin just stood there, locked in each other’s gaze. As they returned to their seats, her cheeks still flaming, Austin leaned over and whispered, “We might need to rehearse that one later.”

Her heart skipped a beat, but she managed to roll her eyes and nudge him with her elbow. Still, she couldn’t shake the way his smile lingered—and the way her lips still tingled from his.

ons chapter 145, also known as the chapter where the manga making process is completely fly-by- the-seat-of-your-pants.

i think this is the first ons chapter where i truly felt my blood boil lmao. im going to go through it, highlighting my favorite ridiculous moments. this is very unserious.

1. foreshadowing, and the pattern of progenitors who have empty lives despite their successes in their human lives.

ferid certainly will manage to do that this chapter with the whole head on a shelf predicament. upon second reading, it's not a half bad attempt at foreshadowing.

2. a roman named pompey

is his brother named vesuvius?

3. ferid somehow not only living through this as a human, but remaining alert and communicative

wasn't this an insta death for humans up until now?

4. philistine as a catch-all, repetitive description that does nothing for the storyline whatsoever.

5. over a century of an injured vampire not drinking blood.

6. ferid is moses?

more foreshadowing?

7. my favorite scene

there are 3 logical directions to move your jar prison off the shelf: forward, backwards, and off the unblocked side. for some reason, ferid... chose the longest way. he could've cut down a decade if he switched directions forwards or backwards.

8. the logic of this scene

in the first portion of the manga, it was a whole deal that mika struggled by the skin of his teeth for 4 years avoiding blood. ferid, lacking a whole body, went well over a century without blood, and without the looming threat of demonhood?

... seriously?

9. ferid himself doesnt understand what happened this chapter

as i already stated, this is very unserious. im sure other fans will do a deeper dive, which i look forward to reading. im hoping that we get a continuation of ferid's past next month. this alone feels deeply unsatisfying, but i've been reading ons for almost a decade now and im in it for the long run.

Could Bychance fit into the Stranger Things storyline AND make sense?

Hello to whoever’s reading this!! For many months now, I’ve been seeing some people on Tumblr, TikTok, and Insta turn the crackship of Bychance into something that they believe could truly happen in ST5. Yesterday, I decided to sit with my thoughts and think through the possibility of Bychance becoming a reality and wanted to share my analysis on here 🤗.

(Additionally, this is my first ever post on here, so hiiiii. Idrk what I’m doing but I plan on possibly posting every once in a while, so we should be moots🤞.)

I’ll be sharing both my claim about Bychance’s probability and my general opinion on this trope in this post.

Part 1: Does Bychance…even make sense?

My claim: In reality, Bychance does not make sense in the story of Stranger Things, and if it were to come to fruition, it would undermine Will’s character arc that the Duffer Brothers have stated would continue into ST5.

A LOT to unpack here, so I’m just going to dive straight (not) in.

Assuming Bychance were to be real (at least at the beginning of ST5), there would be two possible ways their relationship could go about:

Will and Chance are in a private relationship where no one except themselves are aware of it.

Will and Chance are in a public relationship, meaning close friends (or maybe the Hawkins community in general, which would be a far larger group of people) are aware of their relationship.

Before discussing either of these, I want to point out what I hope is obvious in this fandom; Chance is apart of Jason’s friend group. Considering we’ve seen BTS of both Dustin and the jocks at a cemetery, likely for Eddie’s grave, (which people have theorized to be Dustin possibly being bullied/beaten up by them), I would like to believe it is more than likely that, after the 1 1/2 years time skip, the jocks have connected Will to Dustin/Lucas, hence making him a target/someone they’ll all despise, quite obviously contradicting the idea that Will would date one of them.

HOWEVER, for the sake of this post, we’re going to ignore that for now and discuss both possible relationship routes in general.

If Will decides to, within the 1.5 years passed, enter a relationship with a guy who isn’t Mike, this gives off the impression to the GA that Will is trying to suppress his feelings for Mike by projecting them onto another guy. The inherent problem with this, however, is that it’s simply doing just that. Stranger Things, especially ST4, focused on highlighting not plainly Will’s struggle to understand his feelings for Mike because he’s his best friend, but because he’s his best friend who’s a guy. If Will is to avoid these emotions by dating a different guy, that erases his complicated understanding of his own sexuality in a small conservative Indiana town in the 80s. It would mean that we would have skipped over Will’s complete journey to coming to terms with who he truly is because he’s already decided he can still date a man. All in all, Bychance, whether private or public, reduces the problem of Will’s feelings for Mike to being rooted in the fact that he’s his best friend who’s already dating someone else, not that he’s his guy best friend whom he believes is straight because he’s in a relationship with a girl.

NOW, to discuss my first point specifically (Bychance being private).

Right off the bat, if Bychance were to start off as a private relationship as a way for Will to project his feelings for Mike onto someone else, it would only make sense that, eventually, Will either explicitly tells Mike about their relationship OR Mike somehow discovers their relationship himself. If neither of these were to happen, then the plot of Bychance would be utterly pointless to everyone’s plot because, once again reiterating, the reasoning for Bychance is for Will to guide his feelings elsewhere. If Bychance were to have no outward impact on Mike (and the generally desired “jealous Mike” trope Bychance followers want), then Bychance simply has no meaning in the storyline of both Mike and Will. (I hope this makes sense 😭😭).

If Mike were to find out about Bychance either way - assuming he isn’t together with El anymore - what’s he gonna do, try and win Will back while he’s still in a relationship with Chance? If he does try and do this, the GA, Bylers, Milevens, EVERYONE, we’re ALL going to see Mike as, quite frankly, a jerk. Why would he willingly try and win Will over romantically when he’s aware Will is with someone else? I know in a perfect world, we could understand his actions as fighting for the one he loves, but it’s still inherently wrong, even if Will still holds the same feelings for Mike, because Mike himself isn’t aware that Will reciprocates his feelings. In conclusion, what initially-private Bychance means for Mike’s character is that he would be trying to win over someone who’s already taken, pretty obviously paralleling Stancy/Jancy in ST1 which, personally, I do NOT want to have happen with Byler. Although I hold no positive feelings towards Chance right now, I would feel incredibly bad for his character if Will and Mike would kiss/engage in couple-y things, especially if Chance were to find out about them.

OKAY, now I’m going to discuss my second point (Bychance being public).

Honestly, I feel stupid for having to explain why this plot choice would genuinely be the worst choice EVER, so I hope whoever reads this understands what I’m getting at very well.

Will Byers is a teen who was bullied by his classmates when he was younger (at LEAST - we don’t know if there will be more in ST5) for not conforming to the typical standards/behaviours for a little boy, whether rooted in heteronormativity or not. Similarly, his OWN DAD bullied and othered him for the same reasons. As he aged into ST3 and ST4, he realized he identified himself with the exact personal aspect that he was tormented for when he was younger, leading to a strong sense of self-hatred for himself once acknowledging his feelings for his best friend. The burdening societal pressure to conform has encouraged Will to believe he’s a “mistake,” as he stated in the van scene. With all of this, does it really seem plausible that Will would suddenly be out at the beginning of ST5? We’d be skipping over a plot point that is so integral to Will’s character going into ST5 that such poor writing would make me refuse to watch the rest of ST5 - I’m not kidding.

In conclusion for ALL these scenarios I just discussed (Bychance in general…Bychance specifically being private/public), Bychance makes utterly no sense. Every scenario I can imagine gets straight to the point of undermining everything the Duffer Brothers have seemed to build up for Will’s arc going into ST5.

Part 2: My personal opinions on Bychance/this trope.

This section is just for me to rant, so you don’t have to read it, if you wish.

Okay, I know so many people are yearning for a jealous Mike trope in ST5, but, personally, I HATE that idea, and I always have. In my opinion, I find the “get together with someone to either suppress my feelings for someone else or to make that someone else jealous on purpose” trope insanely cliché and lazy. I find it as a way for writers to avoid directly exploring a deeper connection between two characters by instead creating a strong rift in their relationship and having the characters overcome that immature rift in order to grow closer.

I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I’m personally tired of seeing this trope everywhere. Relating this back to Byler, I believe there are many other things that can be brought up to raise tension in their relationship in ST5 that DOESN’T involve forming an entirely new relationship. I’d rather the writers explore Will and Mike’s relationship growing closer than ever before, coupled with tensions in which they acknowledge this unusual closeness, in ST5 as ST3 and ST4 already examined what it was like for their relationship to stumble some.

As my ultimate conclusion, Bychance would genuinely be one of the poorest writing choices I believe I’d ever experience in watching media for all the reasons I’ve already stated. As a strong Byler truther, I think I’d seriously rather have Mileven be endgame and Byler not even be hinted at throughout the season than Bychance become canon.

3) What was the first thing you decided on, the character's name, appearance, personality or their role in the story?

This is a tricky answer…just bc my evil gremlin mc in the game has NOTHING to do with Eloise in my writing. I guess I would say her name? I was just thinking of what would be the most British sounding name I could think of when I started playing in December🙂‍↕️

But then my imagination took hold of me…I started thinking about Eloise’s backstory…and when I thought of how all of her family dynamics/how she grew up would influence her personality I started to be really dissatisfied with the game and the lack of choice we have while playing. SO I gave up on the game completely after the restricted section quest and started to use my free time to write my fic in January🥹🫶 but her backstory, personality, and role in my story are definitely the most interesting things about her to me!!

Hmmmmm😭😭 I think her personality is what I struggled with the most and continue to struggle with as I write!!!! I always want her to feel like a *real* person with flaws, but ALSO convey to the reader why they should love her as much as I do. I think I’m successful bc I get comments/messages a lot from people telling me how much she resonates with them (and she’s some people’s favorite???😳💘) but I STILL CANT HELP BUT FEEL INSECURE ABOUT IT !!! It’s so hard sometimes keeping in mind how she is and how she thinks, and I never want her to be wishy-washy or doing things out of character for her. It’s a fun challenge but a challenge😭💓 (also her appearance changes like crazy in my art but whatever I’m learning😆)

At the sight of Imelda's worried face her throat contracted - Eloise found she couldn't speak - and she burst into tears again. They were rolling, hot and salty, down her cheeks and she hid her crumpled face back into the crooks of her arms. Imelda immediately wrapped her arms around Eloise, and she melted into her friend's embrace. Hands gently stroking her hair as she cried and cried and cried, murmurs whispered in soft Spanish to the top of her head.

She was overwhelmed, desolate, lonely.

I feel really bad for Eloise at this point in her story, but I also find it really interesting to keep poking her to see when she finally snaps and decides that she NEEDS to stand up for herself and what she wants. She hasn’t quite realized that she’s the only one who’s ultimately in charge of her life & I’m really really enjoying watching her become the person she’s meant to be🥹🫶🥹🫶

Rescue operations have been challenging due to damaged infrastructure and ongoing civil conflict, complicating aid delivery and relief efforts. The situation is further exacerbated by shortages of essential resources such as food, medical supplies, and shelter, leaving many survivors in dire need.

In addition to the natural disaster, the people of Myanmar continue to suffer under the brutality of the military, which has hindered humanitarian efforts and worsened the crisis.
