Modern!Levi always carries hand sanitizer on him. There's one in his workout bag- often thrown over his shoulder- another in the center console of his car -which he makes everyone use before they touch anything inside- but there's always one dangling from his hip. Connected to his belt loop with a little carabiner, it bounces cutely by the flare of his hip with every step.  It's plain, just a generic well-worn grey casing that he can easily swap a new bottle in and out of -and he does so often. Its plain, that is, until you buy him a new one. Bright and colorful, it's a little bit of you dangling off of his hip.

Quick Levi’s Morning routine Headcannons:

All of the scouts are woken up at sunrise during weekdays, weekends are their days off. Levi ‘wakes up’ an hour before everyone else if not earlier. Whenever he decides to give up on getting any more sleep for the night.

The scouts are provided with soft and comfy sleep clothes, just some plain standard issue cotton shirts and pants. Levi ‘sleeps’ in these, if only to swap out of his uniform for a bit

Since he sleeps in his desk chair, his bed is never a mess to clean up in the morning. Though, if he’d have used it he’d immediately fix it up into perfect military corners.

First thing, Levi trims up his undercut in the mirror, cleaning up all of the stray bits left in the sink immediately

Next up is a shower -one before and after bed- quick and meticulous, there isn’t even heat to bask in anyways.

While he heats up water for his tea, Levi brushes his teeth with the standard issue mint toothpaste. Everything in his routine is fine tuned for efficiency and speed.

His morning cup of black tea -sometimes cups- is drank quick and hot. Still, this is the one time in the morning that he allows himself to sit and enjoy the beverage, looking out the window at the barely rising sun.

Uniform goes on fast, though the process still takes several minutes. He combs his -already dry- hair quickly in the mirror of his bathroom before leaving to start his day before anyone else is even up.

Long morning jog. The scouts all have morning PT, divided to train as squads, but Levi runs and works out in the morning in addition. The exercise helps clear his head a bit, unfog his brain from the lingering bleary-eyed exhaustion. Sometimes it even manages to chase away the nightmares.

Not even sweaty from the exercise, Levi then finally joins the rest of the scouts as they wake up for breakfast in the dining hall. He sits in his usual spot and his friends just gather around him without prompting every morning.

Levi doesn’t eat much, he’s never been much of an eater, so he mostly just munches on the breakfast rations and drinks yet another cup of tea, nodding along to the conversation.

Then it’s off to morning PT with his squad, just as the sun rises fully into the sky.

Tay, what stupid item would the AOT characters order from online pickup that would make you roll your eyes?

The fact that I have both a Jaeger and an Ackerman that regularly order from my store lmao.

This sort of became what I think they’d order period lol.

Mikasa: Weight lifting equipment and accessories. She’s one of those people that orders the 40 lbs or more weights that threaten the integrity of our carts the entire time we haul it across the store. 💪🏻

Armin: Hmm. I don’t think I’d really roll my eyes at anything he ordered, but we’d probably be out of most of his stuff. I feel like he’d eat organic and super healthy and I always feel bad when we’re out of that stuff. 🍲

Eren: Chips. Just all of the junk food. Cookies, Doritos and Soda. There’s always be a video game mixed in too. There wouldn’t be a single healthy item in the mix. 🍪

Jean: 60+ bananas. Very confusing, but really he’s just making smoothies and freezing them for breakfast. He gets a ton of strawberries and Kale too! 🍌

Connie: I like to think of the modern version of him as an up and coming YouTuber/TikToker, so he’d always just get a ton of trendy stuff. At one point there is just so many slime packages and giant gallon bottles of glue and glitter. ✨

Sasha: She doesn’t get anything particularly outrageous, but orders three times a week and it’s a lot of food. A lot. We just assume she’s in a giant family, but still it’s a lot and often.

Erwin: I highly doubt he’d use pickup, I just think he’d be so bad with technology and would probably enjoy walking around the store. If he did the order would just be tiny, probably only a few food items (a lot of yogurt, I think he’d like yogurt) and a bunch of History, How To or Self Help Books. Maybe some romances, I low key see him into them. 📚

Hange: Rope and duct tape. We’re all very concerned that the order is just that, but in reality it’s actually not what we’re thinking. They’re actually doing a project for science, but it certainly raises some eyebrows. Also A LOT of coffee.

Levi: I see him as super picky and very stingy, so I don’t really see him as shopping at Walmart. If he did I think he’d do it in person and aim for anything that’s clearanced, especially the meats. He definitely wouldn’t like any of our tea, he’d go for the fancier loose leaf stuff. Maybe he’d order sewing supplies and a lot of crafty fix-it-at-home stuff, but I think his orders would mostly blend in. 🧵 🪡

Reiner: Those giant jugs of protein powder and very often. He’d get the weirder flavors too, like the sour patch kids ones. Every once and awhile he throws in a cute kids outfit (it’s for his niece Gabi) and we’re all confused by the juxtaposition.

Historia: She’d probably order all her bras and panties online because she feels embarrassed shopping for them in person.

Ymir: All the food she orders is super spicy 🌶️ Gets the ghost pepper flavors of hot sauce.

Moblit: My store doesn’t sell alcohol, but if we did, that. Also Death Wish coffee 💀

Porco: A lot of hair gel and axe body spray

Pieck: She gets all the seasonal plush blankets for every holiday. Like every variation for Halloween, Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc. Just hoards all the blankets.

If you had to headcanon the aot charas from states, where would they be from and why [are you basing it off their vibe/ or canon personalities?]

Okay some of them actually stumped me for a bit, but here we go!! I mostly went with ~vibe~ from staring at a Map of the US!!

Levi: He strikes me as a northern city boy, braving tough streets and dreary weather. I’d say he’d be a New Yorker or maybe from Illinois! Could even be New Jersey! Somewhere with rough streets and gangs! Imagine him with a cute accent!!

Erwin: A sun-kissed country boy! Not too far from a bigger city, but he definitely grew up around farms! I don’t think he’d be too far south, but definitely spent most of his youth bailing hay at one of the farms for some extra cash! That’s how he’s so beefy!! I’d say he’s either from Missouri or one of the Virginias!!

Hange: This one’s difficult, but I picture them as a country bumpkin from the Deep South, maybe Florida, but they move to California as soon as they’re old enough to be independent!! Basically running away from home!! They want a new experience!! And people are so much more accepting there!!

Eren, Armin, Mikasa: These three grew up together, so I have to do them as a group!! I picture them growing up in a city, but not somewhere nearly as rough as Levi. Somewhere with nice suburbs, a good school district and a community library!! But also somewhere with forests and hills to adventure in!! I’d say somewhere in Pennsylvania!! (Also so Armin can not have seen the ocean, but desperately want to)

Connie: FLORIDA!! Some of the most hilarious people I’ve ever met have been from Florida!! He definitely grew up near the coast taunting those weird little lizards that are everywhere!

Sasha: You know she’s a country girl!! Grew up on a farm, no where near a big city! I’d say Nebraska!! She strikes me as a farm girl, but also the type to have dealt with hard winters!

Jean: He pretends to be a big city boy, but he actually grew up in the middle of nowhere. It wasn’t really farm lands, just emptiness and his tiny little home town. I’d say Michigan!!

Reiner: For some reason I’m picturing him somewhere far north, where it gets really cold during the winter. He’s so sturdy he’s completely resilient to the cold weather!! I’d say Maine or Vermont!

Zeke: He grew up in a big city for sure, but somewhere not far from the coast!! I picture him as some-what of a warm weather boy, so maybe one of the Carolinas?

Miche: Same as Erwin!! The farm he worked on was owned by Miche’s family so they became friends!!

Onyonkapon: I want to hear him with a cute Mississippi accent so bad, so I’m saying there for only that reason!!

Moblit: California!!! They meet Hange there!! He’s socially anxious so he spends a lot of time at the beach, casually drawing people as they pass and the shifting environment!! He can surf!!

Gabi and Falco (and Colt): These two grew up together too!! Somewhere with nicer suburbs and near a relatively large city, but they live more on the outskirts!! Somewhere relatively close to Reiner too! I’d say Massachusetts!!

Floch: Ohio.

Levi never sleeps much, insomnia has always been the one constant in his life. As a captain he’s earned the right to his own bedroom, the small personal space connected to his office in the far back corner. It even comes with its own bathroom, one perk that he’s very thankful for.

The beds unnecessary, though. He’s always just slept in his desk chair. It’s comfortable enough for the two or three hours of sleep he usually manages a night. It just doesn’t seem worth it to rumple his bed sheets for a few scant hours of relaxation. Not that he ever really relaxes.

Things are different now, though. Since he met you. You love to cuddle, burying your face into his chest. You tend to run cold, your chilly feet are shocking when they first press against his own. Levi runs warm, or so you’ve told him. Probably a result of his muscle mass, he’s rarely been cold unless it’s deep winter. It’s not something he’s ever really thought about, but he’s thankful for it now.

Your eyelids twitch and shift under his gaze, eyes tracking a dream he can’t see. Soft breaths puffing against his sternum, your chest rising to press against his own in a steady rhythm. Your legs are twisted with his own, the once untouched bed sheets now tangled around the limbs.

Carding his fingers through your hair, you murmer at the soft touch, nuzzling your face further against his chest. The sight brings an odd excited buzz to his chest, his heart swelling as you press yourself further into his embrace. It’s worth it, he thinks as his eyes start to feel heavy; something that’s always seemed nearly impossible. Having you happily dozing against him is worth far more than messing up his bed sheets. Levi never sleeps much, but things are different with you cuddling up against him.

Okay so I’ve thought about this at work for a couple days and here’s what I have:

Historia: Cries. Just hardcore sobs about everything and everything. Everyone’s just been so nice!!! And her mouth hurts and she’s so sleepy!! She thanks everyone, the nurses, random passersby’s on the street, Ymir who’s driving her, all while sobbing hysterically. Once she gets home she cries into her cats fur repeating the word soft.

Ymir: Deliriously brags about her girlfriend to anyone and everyone, including Historia.

Connie: Having seen the hilarious videos of people post surgery, he has Sasha ready with a camera to catch his hilarity. Theres absolutely no doubt in his mind that he won’t be a riot, he’s even hyped up his TikTok followers. Instead he’s just so swollen and tired he just sleeps the entire time. He’s devastated.

Sasha: An absolute champ. Doesn’t even tell anyone that she had surgery that morning, meets the entire friend group for dinner later that evening. Just eats and eats unbothered, her friends are only concerned once she has to swipe away some blood. She just shrugs it off and eats a second serving of chips. (I had a friend do this. SHE DROVE THERE AND EVERYTHING)

Jean: Acts all tough but is genuinely scared of the surgery and has his mom take him for comfort. Has a bit of a panic just as he goes under, but just wakes up groggy and a bit sore. He whines a lot afterward, despite talking big game.

Armin: An absolute light weight. The doctors were even surprised by how fast he went under. The entire ride home is just silence. Doesn’t even make it to his room, just collapses on the couch. The pain meds have him pretty much out like a light for most of the day, though he somehow manages to get a ton of books next to him, most of them on him.

Mikasa: A tank. Unbothered, doesn’t mention the surgery to anyone. Follows the correct diet and actually eats soft foods and drinks soups for a couple days, but it’s really not a big deal. She doesn’t even bruise, but does try to go back to school too soon.

Eren: Whines. Hardcore. Swells up and bruises like crazy. He has to drink nothing but broth for days. Calls and texts Mikasa and Armin way too many times during school hours to complain, both about the pain and not being there with them. Borderline demands that they come over and comfort him after school. Tells Jean it was nothing.

Hange: Goofy x 1000. Very confused about what’s going on and where they are, asks a lot of questions and tries to get the gauze out of their mouth way too soon. Spends the car ride home with their head out of the window because the cool breeze helps with the pain. Takes out their own stitches. (This was me)

Erwin: Wants to go back to work!! Now!! He’s totally fine (he’s not) and stubbornly refuses to take the pain meds because he’s fine (he’s not). The entire car ride home is him insisting to be driven to work. Has to be physically restrained in order to be kept from his desk.

Levi: Suffers in silence. He’s a real big baby about the pain and the swelling, but doesn’t say anything to anyone. Chubby chubby cheeks 💕Refuses to take the meds at first but eventually concedes. On the way home the entire squad is packed in to the car, which confuses and upsets him because he thought it’d just be Erwin and Hange. All the kids are pointing cameras in his face expecting something hilarious, but he’s just super tired :(( He just wants to sleep :(( Once they’ve all settled down he starts muttering nonsense about tea flavors and brands of bleach.

Modern Erwin still uses YOLO 100% seriously and completely genuinely, even to this day. He isn’t the least bit aware that it’s dated and cringy

Animals absolutely love Levi. They just gravitate towards him like he's a grouchy Disney princess. He sits on a bench for two minutes and a bunch of cats are circling around him for pets.

The secret to getting cats to like you is being calm and not making eye contact, both of which Levi does anyways. When he’s in public he ignores the circling cats, pretending to be bothered by their presence. When he’s alone, or thinks he’s out of sight, he’ll stop to give all of them soft pats on their sweet little heads.

There’s a bunch of them that hang out around the base, helpfully catching any mice that would otherwise cause them problems. He doesn’t name them, doesn’t want to get too attached -though he already is- but he knows each of them by color and pattern, remembers who’s the parent of who. He secretly keeps track of which ones are pregnant, making sure that they get enough food and seem happy and healthy. They like to hang out in the barn alongside the horses, taking advantage of the residual body heat the mares give off. Though he always makes sure the barn is clean as can be, he makes sure to leave some hay out so they can rest warm and comfy in the winters. He’s not sure what he’d do if one of them were injured, doesn’t know how he’d possibly help them, and the thought worries him if he thinks about it too much.

Okay that last post got me thinking: What would the AOT characters quirks be in the BNHA universe.

Thoughts below the cut:

Levi: Something giving him superhuman agility, strength and speed. He can basically fly the way he hops between buildings at lightening speed. Uses swords as support weapons. Was originally an underground hero, working with Isabel and Farlan. Got into a really bad fight against a villain and Erwin showed up last minute, after they had already died and the villain was left bleeding everywhere by Levi’s blades. Erwin recruited him to his team, so now Levi is (reluctantly) the country’s #1 hero, right in the lime light.

Erwin: Some sort of battle IQ. Gives him statistics on everyone’s abilities the moment he lays eyes on them, along with probabilities based on their surroundings. Was only an up-and-coming hero when he ran into Levi, barely in the 100’s, but now he’s firmly at #2.

Hange: They can see into your biological nature, though sometimes it requires skin contact for them to get a full picture. (They can even tell you if your diets lacking.) This gives them complete insight into how a quirk works and any potential weaknesses. Originally wanted to be hero support, using their quirk to build various suits and equipment to match each hero’s specific biology, but Erwin convinced them otherwise. (They hypothesize he has a secret second quirk that makes him very persuasive.) They’re now #3.

Miche: Sharp nose, obviously. Maybe some sort of bloodhound-like quirk. He can use a small bit of someone’s scent to hunt them down.

Eren: Titan, obviously. Basically his whole family has the same quirk, but he’s the first to want to use it for good. (Maybe…if he doesn’t get corrupted)

Zeke: Also Titan, though he’s not exactly… good.

Mikasa: Very similar to Levi, though her quirk grants her a bit less flight and a tad more speed. It’s immediately apparent that they’re related.

Armin: Here comes the Sun. Ya’ boys basically a nuke. Has a huge drawback of basically knocking him out after, not to mention the mental toll. Only used as a last resort, he intends to become a purely rescue hero. Wants to save people from burning buildings and being buried in rubble. He fear the day he’ll get called on to actually use his quirk in a fight.

Sasha: Some sort of super hearing. Extremely fine tuned to that she can hear a pin drop from a mile away. She’s the best for recon.

Connie: Distraction. He’s really good at getting the undivided attention of whomever he wants. He typically uses comedy, but literally anything he says can get a villain to follow him. May or may not use it on his friends occasionally, but doesn’t always mean to.

Jean: Leadership. As long as he exudes confidence, those around him do too. It bolsters the quirks of others around him, reflecting back to make him physically stronger for everyone who believes in him. The same holds true for doubt, though, making him weaker in turn.

Reiner: Some sort of hardening quirk, obviously. Maybe a bit of self healing mixed in, making him basically un-killable (even though he’d like that sometimes)

Annie: Mimic. Since that’s technically the female titans actual ability. She has to touch someone first, but she completely mimic their fighting style from that point on. When she’s super stressed she can even use a bit of their quirks.

Modern AU: What they wanted to be when they grew up.

These are just my initial thoughts, feel free to add on if you have any ideas for these or additional characters.

Eren: Police Officer. Hannes was his neighbor when he was growing up and he always sort of looked up to him. He realized that it wasn’t what he thought it was later, though. That the police weren’t as squeaky clean and righteous as he thought they were, so he changes his mind.

Mikasa: When she was really little, before she met Eren, she spent her days helping her mother around the house. Sewing up holes in clothes, knitting blankets, baking fresh loaves of bread and preparing dinner. She wanted to be just like her mother when she grew up.

Armin: Marine Biologist. No matter what universe, this boy somehow got his hands on a big book about ocean life when he was very little. He was obsessed with it, with the blue-tinged creatures big and small that were depicted across the hundreds of pages. He wanted to know more about them, to touch them with his bare hands.

Jean: Lawyer. He didn’t really think much about what the career entailed, how much work it’d be, but he knew that it made a lot of money. Or that people always saw lawyers as big and important, people with authority and power, and that’s what he wanted to be.

Connie: Comedian. He was always the class clown and enjoyed making other people laugh.

Sasha: Competitive Eater. As soon as she heard it mentioned that this was a career choice she was all about it. Gave her an excuse to steal peoples food, too.

Historia: Veterinarian. I see her loving animals when she was a small child, but she changes her mind when she realizes that she’d have to put them down too.

Erwin: Teacher. He always looked up to his dad, who’s a history professor at a local university. He wanted to be just like him when he grew up.

Hange: Scientist. They were always obsessed with STEM, always borrowing thick-science books from the school library --stuff way beyond their age and reading level. They didn’t have a particular science in mind, loving everything involving science and biology. They would perform science experiments with household objects; bottle rockets with baking soda and vinegar, creating vegetable batteries etc. Always leaving a huge mess in their wake.

Levi: A Hero. He doesn’t have anything specific in mind for a career when he’s really little. He and his mom struggled hard just to get by, and he watched man after man mistreat her and she struggles to make ends meat. She reads him bedtime stories, cuddled up in the single bed of their tiny apartment. The books are worn, the pages yellowed with age and the covers worn rough from abuse. Stories of big strong men who rescue women from the cruel hands of wicked men. He wants to be like them, he thinks, a hero to protect his mother.

AOT Chipotle Order Headcannons

Okay, so here’s what I think the AOT cast would eat at Chipotle. I’m not good at parsing out what their order means for their personality, though. It’s a bit long so I’m putting it below the cut.

Eren: Burrito with double Steak, white rice, black beans, sour cream, cheese, and Queso. No veggies or anything, just protein and carbs. Doesn’t get chips or salsa, usually depends on Armin or Mikasa to get them for him.

Mikasa: Burrito bowl. Pollo asado, brown rice, black beans, Fresh tomato salsa, guacamole, fajita veggies. Not too unhealthy but with a bit of spice. Gets a side of chips and Queso for Eren

Armin: Salad. Sofritas, brown rice, pinto beans, guacamole, fajita veggies, Chipotle-Honey vinaigrette. Still thinks it’s a bit spicy, but is too afraid to complain. Also gets chips and Queso for Eren.

Sasha: Burrito, double wrapped in hopes that they’ll put more in it. Double Steak, white rice, Black beans, Guacamole, Fresh tomato Salsa, Roasted Chili-corn Salsa, Tomatillo-green chili Salsa, Tomatillo-red chili salsa, sour cream, fajita veggies, as much cheese as they’re allowed to put in it, Queso. Adds literally everything she possibly can. Gets chips and a large side of Queso. Literally dips the burrito in it.

Connie: Three tacos. Carnitas or barbacoa, soft flour tortillas, white rice, pinto beans, guacamole, roasted chili-corn salsa, sour cream, and cheese. Occasionally adds veggies, but regrets it when he does.

Jean: Lifestyle bowl. The chicken Whole30 bowl with double chicken, no rice, no beans, guacamole, Fresh Tomato salsa, sour cream, lettuce, fajita veggies, and Chipotle-Honey vinaigrette. I will stand by the fact that this boy eats healthy. Gets a tortilla on the side sometimes when he feels like cheating.

Erwin: Gets a salad because he’s an old man. Pollo Asado because he likes a little bit of spice, pretends he doesn’t get heartburn later. Brown rice, pinto beans, fajita veggies, sour cream. Kinda simple and boring. Doesn’t even get the included vinaigrette. Eats the salad with a fork and knife.

Hange: Burrito, so they can eat one handed. Barbacoa, white rice, pinto beans, guacamole, sour cream, Tomatillo-red Chili Salsa, cheese. Relatively simple but not very typical.

Levi: Only eats at chipotle when forced to. Burrito bowl, because he refuses to eat with his hands. Chicken, brown rice, black beans, cheese, lettuce, fajita veggies. Very simple, kinda boring, he doesn’t have a palette for a lot of the options. He’s kind of a picky eater, tbh.

Reiner: High protein bowl. Double portions of steak and chicken, white rice, black beans, tomatillo-red chili salsa, cheese, romaine lettuce. Dude eats pretty much nothing but protein.

Ymir: Burrito. Pollo asado, white rice, black beans, tomatillo-red chili salsa, roasted chili-corn salsa, fajita veggies, cheese, queso. Picks all the spicy options and then complains that it’s not spicy enough.

Annie: Burrito. Double wrapped, double chicken, white rice, black beans, cheese, queso. I see her as kind of a picky eater too, doesn’t really like most veggies. This is literally my typical order, lol. She might like roasted chili-corn salsa, but good luck getting her to try new things.

Historia: Salad. Chicken, no rice, no beans, fajita veggies, fresh tomato salsa, cheese, chipotle-honey vinaigrette. Nice and light, very healthy. I feel like she wouldn’t handle any spices well.

Porco: Burrito. Carnitas, white rice, black beans, tomatillo-red Chili salsa, sour cream, fajita veggies. Simple but with a bit of spice. Gets a small side of Queso and pours it into the burrito as he’s eating it. Yes I gave him pork.

Peick: Salad. Veggie, brown rice, no beans, guacamole, roasted chili-corn salsa, sour cream, fajita veggies, Chipotle-Honey vinaigrette. Gets a side of chips to munch on later in the day.

Random headcanon?

How about AOT characters favorite aisle in the grocery store?

You know, bakery, deli, produce, junk food, cereal/granola, beverage, dairy....

I may or may not have been thinking about this the entire time I was at work today.

Erwin: I don’t know why but I think this man would love granola and trail mix.

Hange: The baking aisle, mainly because there’s all sorts of science tricks you can do with common baking ingredients.

Levi: The Coffee/Tea aisle obviously. This man has tried every brand and every flavor, gets excited when something new shows up.

Sasha: Fresh meat section obviously, though she loves junk food as well. And pasta. And chips. And ice cream. And…

Connie: Junk food aisle, though most of what he buys ends up stolen.

Jean: For some reason I think he’d be very health conscious actually. Like super fond of buying fresh produce, it makes him feel very adult.

Eren: Wherever the quick microwaveable meals are. Cheap 15 cent ramens that are loaded with salt. Still has abs despite eating like garbage.

Mikasa: This ones tough because I picture her with a very balanced diet. She has a secret sweet tooth though and treats herself to an occasional bit of junk food.

Armin: For some reason I picture him as very lactose intolerant but he loves dairy anyways.

Reiner: Wherever the protein powder is. Dude adds it to anything.

Annie: Fresh baked goods! She loves donuts!

Ymir: For some reason I don’t think she’d like sweets that much, unless it’s something Historia made for her. Favorite aisle is definitely the meat section, though second comes the spice section since I see her liking things hot.

Historia: Everything her strict parents wouldn’t let her have growing up as a kid. Junk food and ice cream for the most part.

Modern! Ymir absolutely loves spicy food, drowns everything in hot sauce. Even carries a bottle around to restaurants. Modern! Historia can’t stand any spice at all. Their first kiss burns her mouth, it’s so bad that she has to run off to get some water immediately after. They’re both so embarrassed 😳😳
