Okay, this time this is my grand update for my little about myself, and I remaked it by removing some of them and replaced by featuring other characters/people who I'd love to choose.

Periya Puranam - The Lives of the Sixty-Three Saivite Saints

The Periya Puranam in Tamil and Siva-bhakta Vilasam in Sanskrit are great devotional and spiritual classics which attract many aspirants, right from the 12th century Basavanna of karnataka and saints like Ramalinga vallalar and Bhagavan Ramana Maharishi of recent times. Countless spiritual seekers are inspired by these scriptures.

In the past 1000 years, apart from numerous prose works on the lives of the 63 Saints based on the Periya Puranam, many poets have also composed melodious poems.

Of these, Kesava Mudaliar’s simple composition covering the core incidents of the 63 Saints’ lives, is being presented in these videos. An English gist of the poems is also added to convey the meaning of the poems. The Tamil verses from Kesava Mudaliyar's original print (published in 1865) is also reproduced as it is in the videos.

All songs have been rendered in their original musical notes (Raagam & Taalam), with great devotion and dedication by Ms.Mylai Divya Sundar of Chennai.

It is intended to post 2 or 3 videos per week (a video for each of the 63 Saints). Therefore, the whole project may last a few months (with in-between breaks for other videos that may come up).

Finally and most importantly, these video are the dedicated hard work of a co-bhakta of Bhagavan Ramana, who compiled all the ingredients of the videos AND of Ms. Mylai Divya Sundar for her devoted renditions. I have only put the skin, so to speak, over the real flesh and bones! Hope viewers will derive immense devotional benefit from this Series.

Aanayar, a siva bhakta tended his cows feeding them with Panchak-shari* playing on his flute. Once he saw a bunch of Kondrai flowers that reminded him of the Lord Parama-siva. He played his flute with due melody and Nature itself melted with that music, Parama-siva and Parvathy too melted and fell in his net of devotion.

Aanayar was blessed by Lord Siva praised by Kesava**, to play the music in Kailas.

The Panchakshari* Mantra (or the "five-syllable" mantra referring to the five syllables of na, ma, śi, vā, and ya. It is associated with Shiva's mantra, Om Namah Shivaya, which also contains these syllables.

Kesava** - the name of the author of the poem is mentioned, at the end of all poems.

I Tonite I walked out of my red apartment door on East tenth street’s dusk— Walked out of my home ten years, walked out in my honking neighborhood Tonite at seven walked out past garbage cans chained to concrete anchors Walked under black painted fire escapes, giant castiron plate covering a hole in ground —Crossed the street, traffic lite red, thirteen bus roaring by liquor store, past corner pharmacy iron grated, past Coca Cola & Mylai posters fading scraped on brick Past Chinese Laundry wood door’d, & broken cement stoop steps For Rent hall painted green & purple Puerto Rican style Along E. 10th’s glass splattered pavement, kid blacks & Spanish oiled hair adolescents’ crowded house fronts— Ah, tonite I walked out on my block NY City under humid summer sky Halloween, thinking what happened Timothy Leary joining brain police for a season? thinking what’s all this Weathermen, secrecy & selfrighteousness beyond reason—F.B.I. plots? Jose Vega, ce héros de nos "temps modernes" attaque les membres du panel ultra-médiatique pour sa trop évidente hypocrisie suite à la destruction du pipeline sous-marin NordStream, la plus mortelle catastrophe écologique de notre époque.

Son héroique intervention a commencé par la recherche (ironique) de Seymour Hersh, celui qui a été le 1er dénonciateur des grands coups tordus des usa et de sa cia (Vietnam/MyLai, Watergate/Kissinger, Syrie/Sarin, Bagdad/AbouGhraib, Pakistan/BenLaden) et seul accusateur de Joe Biden qui aurait commandé la destruction du pipeline - révélé par Hersh le 8 février dernier sur son substack.

« Dans un moment d'honnêteté à couper le souffle, le militant Jose Vega a dénoncé les puissants médias grand public pour leurs récits bellicistes et leur mépris flagrant de la vérité.

« Vega assistait à une table ronde à la Columbia Journalism Review, qui mettait en scène des rédacteurs en chef du New York Times, du Washington Post, du Los Angeles Times et de Reuters. Le panel s'intitulait "Fault Lines - a Panel on Building a Democratic Press", mais il s'est rapidement transformé en un moment de jugement pour ces géants des médias.

« Le discours passionné de Vega a mis en évidence les échecs de ces publications estimées au cours des deux dernières décennies. Kapaleeshwarar Temple: The Sacred Heart of Mylapore

Kapaleeshwarar Temple, a renowned Hindu shrine in the heart of Mylapore, Chennai, is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This ancient temple, built around the 7th century CE, is a stunning example of classic South Indian architecture.

According to legend, the goddess Parvati worshipped Shiva here, taking the form of a peahen (mayil in Tamil), which gave rise to the area’s name—Mylai, or modern-day Mylapore. At this sacred site, Shiva is revered as Kapaleeshwarar in the form of a lingam, while Parvati is worshipped as Karpagambal, symbolizing the wish-yielding tree. The temple holds a special place in Tamil Shaiva tradition, as it is celebrated in the Tevaram, the 7th-century hymns of the saint poets, the Nayanars, making it one of the sacred Paadal Petra Sthalams.

The temple complex is home to many shrines, with the deities Kapaleeshwarar and Karpagambal being the most prominent. Devotees can attend six daily rituals from early morning to late evening, with the grand Aṟupatimūvar festival during the Tamil month of Panguni being a key highlight.

A Rich Tapestry of Legends

The name Kapaleeshwarar comes from the words kapala (head) and Ishvara (a name of Shiva). As the story goes, Brahma once failed to show proper respect to Shiva at Mount Kailash, prompting Shiva to pluck one of Brahma’s five heads. In repentance, Brahma journeyed to Mylapore and installed a lingam to honor Shiva. This location is also known as Sukra Puri and Veda Puri, among other sacred names.

Another local legend tells of Parvati, cursed to live as a peahen, performing penance here to return to her true form. Her son Murugan also received the vel (spear) here to defeat a demon. Countless myths and miracles are tied to this temple—such as the resurrection of Poompavai by the saint Sambandar after she died from a snake bite.

A Glimpse into History

While the temple is believed to have been constructed by the Pallavas in the 7th century CE, some references suggest it was originally located closer to the sea, as described in hymns by the Nayanars. Inscriptions inside the temple date back to the 12th century, and the towering 120-foot gopuram (gateway tower), built in 1906, is adorned with intricate stucco figures that add to the temple’s grandeur.

The temple is maintained by the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department of Tamil Nadu, preserving its rich heritage.

Temple Architecture and Traditions

Kapaleeshwarar Temple is a prime example of Dravidian architecture, with two towering gopurams marking the entrances. The east gopuram stands at 40 meters tall, while the smaller western one faces the sacred tank.

The temple is also known for its vahanas (sacred vehicles), which include the bull, elephant, peacock, and even a golden chariot. During temple festivals, the divine couple, Kapaleeshwarar and Karpagambal, are placed on these vahanas and carried in a grand procession around the temple, with music and hymns filling the air. Visitors consider it an honor to help pull the deities’ chariots, believing it to be an act of devotion.

A unique tradition at the temple includes keeping a peacock and a peahen in a cage to honor the legend of Parvati’s penance in the form of a peahen. This serves as a symbolic reminder of the temple’s deep-rooted myths.

Ya, aku pun pernah menjadi pejuang halal dan alhamdulillaah Allah pertemukan aku dengan jodohku dengan cara yg indah dalam proses yg singkat.

Apa yaaa yang kira2 ingin aku sampaikan kepada para pejuang halal... Banyaaaakkkk banget sebenernya.. Tapi memang setiap orang punya jalan ta'arufnya masing2. Walaupun proses ta'aruf aku cepat dan aku yakin suamiku adalah orang yg tepat, tetap saja perjalanan pejuang halal-ku tidak cepat dan tidak mudah.

Aku menulis masfalyfe di beberapa postingan sebelumnya juga salah satunya untuk menceritakan kembali, syukur2 bisa jadi buku, tapi malu juga ya kalo ketauan cerita aslinya ke orang2 wkwkwk.

Jadi awal aku kenal rasa suka pas TK. Ada 2 jenis rasa suka saat itu : 1. Ke orang yg cakep 2. Ke orang yg deket wkwkwk bocil TK udah suka 2 orang.

Terus SD, hmmm.. seinget aku baru mylai kelas 5 mulai suka2an, gara2 kebawa curhatan orang wkwkwk. Ada temen kelas lain suka sama temen sekelas aku, awalnya aku heran apa yg disukain dari itu orang, lama2 aku peratiin2 loh loh loh kok aku jadi suka juga. Kocak.

Nah SMP mulai ada drama drama. Kelas 1 aku suka sama orang cakep, pinter, polos ga kenal cewek, nyaris sempurna. Kelas 2 kita sekelas lagi, tapi dia udah mulai pacaran, dan cukup bucin istilah anak sekarang. Qadarullaah dalam masa itu Allaah panggil dia dalam sebuah kecelakaan.

Kelas 2 SMP dimulailah drama queen, ada anak yg pinter komputer, aku kagum. Belum suka. Kebetulan ada temen genggongan aku, Tika, suka sama Denny. Tapi ada anak lain yg suka sama Tika, Handrio (kalo ga salah, agak skip sih ini kayak temen SMP tapi kayak SMA), pokoknya dia itu kayak anak FOMO istilah anak sekarang, ga popular tapi pengen popular jadi dengan modal duit ortu dia nraktir2 orang2 biar pada deket sama dia (anak laki2) dan ngegeng akhirnya.

Nah, karna Handrio like a boss, jadi anak2 gengnya kayak nurut sama omongannya. Nah, one day, Tika itu di stalking sama Handrio. Handrio kepo siapa yg disukain Tika, katanya mau diabisin tuh anak yg disukain sama Tika.

Jadi Tika ngeles bilangnya suka sama Prio, orang yg pinter komputer itu. Yg aku suka itu wkwk. Nah karna Handrio taunya Prio yg disukain Tika, aku jadi ngelurusin pas Handrio ngepoin tentang orang yg disukain Tika, kalo sebenernya yg disukain Tika bukan Prio tapi Denny.

Bagai makan buah simalakama. Jujur salah bohong salah.

Pulang sekolah di hari sabtu, tiba2 Handrio bilang mau ngabisin Denny. Entah gimana cerita detailnya aku lupa, cuma intinya aku bilang ke Tika kalo aku udah jujur ke Handrio, aku nangis nyesel udah bilang ngasih tau ke Handrio tentang orang yg disukain Tika, Denny. Terus Handrio sekarang lagi mau nyegat Denny. Aku ga karu2an tuh. Aku udah mikir paitnya aja. Denny udah selesai.

Dan karna peristiwa itu, aku Tika n genggong jadi pulang telat nangis bareng2, terus ada anak2 kelas lain yg nyamper temennya jadi tau kita kenapa. Besoknya pas masuk sekolah lagi. Denny yg duduk di depan meja aku tau2 nanya "Lu kemaren nangisin gw ya?" Dengan nada dan raut muka pede luar biasa. Aku bingung nangisin dia? Iya sih. Takut dia kenapa2 dan juga karna nyesel udah bongkar rahasia Tika. Terus dia bilang lagi "Itu tandanya lu sayang sama gue, ga mau gw kenapa2". Entah apa respon ku saat itu tapi aku merasa terenyuh kayak kok ada yg peduki sama perasaan aku sampe sejauh itu, padahal aku sendiri ga sadar. Padahal saat itu aku suka/kagum sama Prio tapi karna Denny bilang gitu tiba2 Prio ilang dari ingatan wkwkwk.

Padahal sebelum kejadian itu prio nembak aku, tapi saking geroginya aku malah ngusir dia wkwkwk terkocak memang.

Kelas 3 SMP, aku suka sama orang yg disukain banyak orang karna dia pinter. Sayangnya aku terlibat suka (bukan cinta ya) segi 4 wkwkwk. Cowok ini suka sama S, S juga suka tapi ga pada berani bilang, cowok ini curhat ke Y, dia malah jadian sama Y, ternyata Y jadi perusak nilai cowok ini jadi cowok ini disuruh putus sama mamanya kata si Y curhat ke aku. Bodohnya aku, aku pernah bilang ke si cowok itu aku suka dia Hahahaha dodol memang terus besoknya aku disidang sama genggong si S wkwkwk haduh nasib nasib, udah bertepuk sebelah tangan teeus dipermalukan. Walaupuuunnnn ternyata belakangan aku baru tau kalau ada setidaknya 2 orang yg suka sama aku diam2 wkwkwk, Radiaz sama Heru wkwkwk pede banget aku, tau dari mana aku, dari tatapan mata mereka yg sering nengok ke tempat aku wkwkwk.

SMA, aku ga banyak menghidupkan hari dan hati di sekolah zaman2 SMA tapi di lingkungan rumah sungguh menyalaaaaaa~~~~

Berawal dari aku ikut2an ngaji sama kakak2 remaja masjid, aku jadi anak paling bawang, kecil sendiri, karna genggongan seumuran aku ga pada ikutan. Berawal dari re-generasi remaja masjid semua dimulai wkwkwk.

Menjadi generasi oenerus remaja maajid yg udah pada kuliah dan sibuk lalu menghilang, aku mulai petualangan. Hehehe..

Berawal dari event PHBI (Perayaan Hari Besar Islam) di masjid, entah gimana caranya, bersambung dengan 2 orang laki2 sering dateng ke rumah abis magrib. Kadang 1 orang sendiri. Mereka/dia ga cuma ke rumah aku, tapi ke rumah temen aku dulu E almh. (Allahummagfirlaha) terus dia nyuruh E manggil aku buat nongkrong di depan rumah. Aku ga tau kalo itu namanya di-apel-in.

Beberapa bulan terjadi, aku jadi suka sama si cowok karna fisik dan sering ketemu. Dia? Aku ga tau. Ternyata E juga suka sama cowok itu A. Suatu malam minggu, pas kita lagi nongkrong, A ngeliat tetangga cakep dia langsung bilang "itu siapa namanya? Gw pengen kenalan dong" dari situ aku udah mulai meng-ikhlas-kan a.k.a udah mulai ga suka lagi, ditambah dia bilang mau pindah karna kerja sambil ngekos, di situ aku beneran yg udahlah.

Kemudian dipilihlah ketua Remaja Masjid yg baru, A (juga namanya tapi beda orangnya), yg ini karismatik, walau secara fisik kurang menarik, tapi kalau lagi biacara di depan umum dia punya sikap yg baik. Aku kagum.

Belakangan A yg pertama mulai jarang datang, bergantilah A kedua si ketua remaja masjid, kalau dia lagi ga sibuk kuliah dia sering kali mampir kerumah bersama temannya juga dengan pola yg sama, ke rumah E dulu, nyuruh E manggil aku keluar. Kita ngobrol ber4 di luar. Sayangnya suatu hari aku menemukan ke-kaget-an sikap A si ketua yg menurutku totally different dengan sikap ketika ia sedang di depan umum, tepatnya lebih lebih caur kayak pelawak, tapi bukan itu masalahnya. Masalahnya ada pada beberapa prinsipku yg tidak jadi prinsipnya. Seperti misalnya, saat acara saur on the road, aku san si A ketua ini boncengan motor, sama kayak kakak remaja masjid terdahulu yg boncengan sama cowoknya huehehehe.. Terus masa si A ketua masjid nyuruh aku hug his back, Oh BiG NO.

Dari situ aku mulai ilfeel. Terus tiba2 diantara proses yg berjalan muncul-lah C yang totally terlihat secara fisik, apalagi karismatik, tapi he's so brilliant and lawak banget dan yg paling bikin meleleh dia perhatian wkwkwk. Ada beberapa moment lah yg udah ga penting diceritain sekarang. Padahal dia punya pacar, tapi aku kayak bakalan nungguin dia free wkwkwk dodol memang.

Terus kisah kami berakhir saat aku kuliah dan mengenal seseorang yang membuat aku pernah merasa pacaran tanpa penembakan dan cukup terima status temenan. Dan akhirnya setelah kita merasa mentok dan aku memutuskan menghilang, akhirnya aku merasa sendiri lebih baik darpada "kayak orang2" tapi merasa dalam sangkar. At the time aku merasa ayak burung kecil yg bebas terbang keluar dari sarang...

Setelah lulus, aku join di grup eksyar ketemu temen2 pegiat eksyar dari alumnus beberapa kampus. Sangat singkat. Tidak terlalu banyak cerita, tapi besar kesan dan hikmahnya.

Next aku kerja, alhamdulillaah aku kerja di tempat yg syariah, 1 tahun kerja ada temen yg bilang kalo temennya mau ta'aruf sama aku, aku yg baru kenal ta'aruf, bener2 nyari2 dan masih blank banget tentang urusan ta'aruf. So, aku gugling. Aku totally plek ke-tiplek ngisi CV ta'aruf, ada data pribadi, karakter dan kriteria calon suami. Seminggu, dua minggu, tiga minggu belum ada respon setelah aku kasih CV, akhirnya temen aku dengen entengnya bilang "CV lu lagi gw edit, lagian pake ada kriteeia calon suami berarti lu belom siap nikah" seketika aku minta balik CV aku. Ta'aruf pertama batal.
