Tsukihi Undo was an amazing appetizer, but Nadeko Draw was everything I needed from a new Monogatari season NISIOISIN's writing always manages to hit me right in the heartstrings, and it usually comes at a time when I need to hear these things too

I think at some point Nadeko consciously or unconsciously has given up on her parents. Nadeko struggles are complex and multi facet, but i think i a good summary is that Nadeko is afraid of being unwanted, of facing rejection and pain, but the reality is that Nadeko was always unwanted, her classmates and teachers have never given too much thought about her, she certainly knows that Araragi never saw her that way, and she doesn't know how to deal with Tsukihi, the only person who can see through her.

But at the core of it, are her parents, parents are supposed to love and care for their children, yet their parents didn't even care to open her closet, because they care about Sengoku Nadeko, but they never once wanted to face Nadeko.

"To be like Anti-Nadeko, to throw my toys out of the pram, to resort to violence and swing chisels about — it would be incredible if my parents, others, and even myself came out of this unhurt.

Looking at Anti-Nadeko, she connects it to childishness violence and entitlement, and finally to her parents, those are her parents in Nadeko's eyes, childish and entitled creatures

Nadeko, story is about change, is about giving up this and trying that, as kaiki said, humans can always start again, because they are humans. So i believe that Nadeko has given up on her parents, its the correct choice, and yet is a very sad one, isn't it?

A child that has out grown their parents, its a really cruel fate, being rejected by your parents hurts, but i think the true pain comes when you are forced to reject them and face reality.
