At last, here it is: today is Day One of Naegiri Week 2022, held by the mods at @naegiriweek! I'm so happy this event is finally starting, as you know how deep my love for Naegiri is. My prompts this year will be slightly shorter than last year's due to a more critical workload, but I really wanted to write for every day, and here is my first entry!

Naegiri Week 2022 Day 1 Prompt - "Overtime"

Summary: There's no rest for the wicked...nor is there any rest for those who watch over them. While the Remnants of Despair are trapped within a nightmare-turned-subconscious-labyrinth, Kyoko Kirigiri and Makoto Naegi work the graveyard shift.

Notes: Happy Naegiri Week 2022, friends!! Here is my prompt for Day 1 this year: Overtime. Had a lot of fun exploring this point in the timeline from our favorite couple's perspective earlier this year around Valentine's, so I decided to have another go with it. Really hope anyone reading enjoys! ❤️

Naegiri Week 2022 Day 2 Prompt - "Snooze"

Rating: ⚠️ Mature (for adult content - MDNI)

Summary: Lazy mornings are for lovers. On the weekends off from work, Kyoko and Makoto can be found tucked away in each other's arms, as the world slowly turns beneath them.

Notes: For Naegiri Week Day 2 - "Snooze". You all know me and my silly little writing habits by now, lol. I really just wanted an excuse to write some soft, domestic smut for my favorite couple again, dammit. And today's prompt felt like the perfect opportunity for me to do so! Really hope you guys enjoy. <3

Unfortunately, today is already the seventh and final day of Naegiri Week 2022. I wish it weren't, but alas, I don't control time, so there's not much I can do about it.

I wish to thank everyone who read my entries this week, left kudos, and/or took the time to leave comments. People like you keep me going as a writer, and the amount of support I've received this week - especially from my fellow writers - has been touching. You guys rock!

Finally, I must also thank the mods of @naegiriweek for holding this event. Mod Eon (@cyberneticsanity) and Mod @capnii have done a remarkable job this year once again - taking the time to keep our community going even though they probably have other things they could be doing. Thanks to you guys, the Naegiri community is still going strong, so many years after the first Danganronpa game was released.

Naegiri Week 2022 Day 3 Prompt - "Past/Future"

Rating: Teen and Up (for universe-typical violence)

Summary: Freshly graduated Inspector Kyoko Kirigiri joins the Public Safety Bureau's Criminal Investigation Division and is assigned her first mission. Her new Enforcer - wide-eyed, seemingly innocent Makoto Naegi - is a mystery to solve in and of himself. The two are intent on learning the ins and outs of how to work together...and to find out what the other is hiding.

Notes: I live! *wipes sweat off brow as I make my return to the internet* My apologies for falling behind on posting my Naegiri entries for this week - life got really unexpectedly stressful all of a sudden, and that stress kept me from editing my work much longer than I would have liked. Although I'll be late, I will still be posting for all 7 prompts, so not to worry. :) For Day 3's prompt, Past/Future, I decided to get a bit ambitious. Pyscho-Pass is my favorite futuristic anime, and after coming across some incredible Pyscho-Pass/Danganronpa crossover fanart a while ago, I knew I wanted to try writing an AU at some point. This took my writing style to a bit of a new place, but hopefully it will be enjoyable all the same! I'd love to continue this AU sometime, so if the plot feels a bit vague or implication-heavy, that's why. Also fun fact: Byakuya Togami's VA from Danganronpa: the Animation just so happens to voice one of the main characters (Inspector Ginoza) in Pyscho-Pass! Hence my reason for giving him that role here, lol. Really hope you guys enjoy, and thank you for being patient with me! ❤️
