Nanami x Tomoe

A/N: A precious pairing that I love so much and that I don't see around often. I hope you enjoy it!

"Are you done?"

"Hmm, not yet, Tomoe." 

Tomoe chuckled, his arms tightening around Nanami's body and his lips pressing against her forehead, kissing her gently. Nanami was exceptionally… cuddly that evening and even though Tomoe claimed that he was already sore for hugging so long, they both knew it was all an act. 

He relished in having her between his arms; her warmth, her scent, her serene sighs and happy hums all were so intoxicating, he didn't want to let go of her never in a million years. 

He kissed her forehead again and then the bridge of her nose. His hands gently rubbing her back and then moving to pull a strand of hair behind Nanami's ear. She shivered slightly and pressed herself more against him, making him chuckle again. It seemed like she wanted to melt into him. 

"Are you cold?" Nanami shook her head and Tomoe smiled, carding his fingers through her hair, his long nails gently scratching her scalp. 

Nanami hummed happily at the attention and Tomoe felt encouraged to continue, feeling her relax into him the more he kept scratching her scalp. His fingernails reached all the way down to Nanami's neck and he was surprised when she suddenly giggled, shrugging her shoulders. 

Tomoe grinned, "was that ticklish?" 

She nodded shyly, hiding her face against his neck. "A little." 

Something tugged at his heart. A little string that made him feel like vibrating in his insides. He kissed Nanami's forehead one more time as a wave of playfulness rushed through him 

"Tell me, Nanami, where does it tickle more? Here?" He asked, brushing his long claws across the back of Nanami's neck, making her shiver. "Or here?" His nails brushed down the side of her neck and Nanami giggled brightly, squirming slightly between his arms. 

"Bohohoth tihihickle!"

"I need a concrete answer, you know? That's not too hard, right?" He was just teasing her, but was surprised when he felt Nanami grabbing his waist. 

"Then, Tomoe, what part tickles more? Here?" She said, her fingernails dragging down Tomoe's sides. "Or this?" A brush across his ribs made him doubled over slightly with a vibrant laugh. 

"N-Nahahanami!" He said, hugging her tighter against him. "Bohohoth are teherrible!"

Nanami giggled, looking up at him and Tomoe was breathless at seeing her beautiful, sparkling eyes and her bright, playful smile.

He loved her so, so much. Life without Nanami was null, but now that she was there, his life was bright and beautiful every single day. 

He gently cupped her cheeks and Nanami blushed, smiling tenderly at him, the love in her eyes almost overwhelming. 

"I love you, Nanami," he whispered, leaning closer to her. 

"I love you, Tomoe," she said and Tomoe felt warmth spreading inside his chest as he leaned down enough to capture her lips in a tender kiss. 

Leisure days like these had slowly become Tomoe's favorite days, but any day and time and date was his favorite as long as his beautiful and dear Nanami was right by his side, enjoying their wonderful life together.

The way Nanami and Tomoe's lives are interconnected is so interesting

Tomoe is alive because Nanami fell in love with him in the present - which lead to her going to the past to save his life.

And Nanami is alive because Tomoe fell in love with her in the past - which lead to him caring for Yukiji and keeping her healthy through the pregnancy that would eventually lead to Nanami being born down the ancestral line
