Petra: at some point in their relationship, Petra and Ava started resolving many of their arguments via video games. Their go-to debate-settlers are Mario Kart, Pokemon Stadium, and Pokemon Puzzle League. (it should probably be noted that half the time, this just results in their debating the merits of specific builds in Mario Kart or team composition in Stadium. bickering: a love language.) Holland has gotten into the habit of periodically stealing Nate’s phone to snap photos of anything and everything if she thinks it’ll make him smile. silly selfies, candids of UB, cute dogs she's encountered, etc. she also set his lock screen to shuffle through the subsequent album she’s been amassing on his phone. Holland doesn’t usually play guitar for/around other people (and she definitely doesn’t tend to sing unless she’s alone.) HOWEVER: she babysits Verda and Eric’s kids somewhat regularly (or did, I guess, before her life became a million percent busier) and when she does, she absolutely plays and sings for Cara and Lacey because it makes them so happy. (I also hc that at some point, Tina introduced the girls to Beyonce and now Holland knows a LOT more acoustic covers of Destiny’s Child and B-Day-era songs than she ever expected she would). My Series 2 rewatch thoughts that no-one asked for. Mostly random thoughts and things I've only noticed since watching series 3. Series 1 rewatch here.

Euphoria: Two high school boys in love, gay/bi affairs, toxic masculinity, and Brock O'Hurn

I went in Euphoria Episode 2.3 cold, with no prior research.  All I knew was that Brock O'Hurn had a nude frontal (fully aroused, not a prosthetic).  And I had a vague impression that the show was about paranormal events in a quirky small town.

Scene 1: A woman named Rue narrates.  "When Cal was a senior in high school...."  Holy cow, the screen fills with his butt as he puts on his underwear!   

Cal (Elias Kacavas) calls his friend Derek (Henry Eikenberry), insults him by implying that he's a woman ("put your bra and panties on"), and then drives over to pick him up.

Holy cow, cock shots of both of them,then a close-up of Derek's butt and cock in the locker room!   When they get girlfriends, they have a skinny-dipping party, with even more cock!

After graduation, they're going to separate colleges, so they have to part.  On their last night together, they go to a redneck honky-tonk gay bar, where they slow-dance and kiss a lot.  Then next morning, Cal gets a call from his girlfriend: she's pregnant! So the preacher in my old church was right: homa-sekshuls cause teen pregnancy.

Darn, yet another plotline about gayness as something for adolescents, to be abandoned for heterosexual destiny!  Well, at least we saw a lot of cocks, and Brock O'Hurn's aroused frontal is coming up.

After the 1990s flashback, we cut to modern day high school students, and I get completely lost.  This is not the sort of show where you can start in media res. As far as I can tell, there are plotlines about addiction and recovery, some sort of criminal activity, and four central relationship groups (some of the background comes from the Euphoria wiki)

1, Cal (Eric Dane, right) is now middle-aged, married, with two sons. Eldest son Nate (Jacob Elordi, left), a football player who oozes toxic masculinity, is dating/abusing evil antagonist Cassie (both straight).  

2. Rue, the narrator, is involved with Jules, a trans woman, who is involved with Ellie (Dominic Fike), who is straight (well, not into labels) and interested in Rue. 

3. Rue's friend Kat is involved with Ethan (Austin Abrams, left), but suffers from delusions and keeps breaking up with or gaslighting him.

4. Cal (remember him?) runs afoul of Rue's drug dealer, Fezco (Angus Cloud), who is angry about the Nate situation.   Cal also had sex with Jules, but begged her not to tell anyone, for fear that it would hurt his reputation (because she is a minor, or because she is trans?).  And. in the next episode, he returns to the redneck honky-tonk gay bar and dances with a man, who he pretends is his long-lost boyfriend Derek. 

Where the heck is Brock? I read the IMDB wrong. He appears as Super Hot Warrior Man in Episode 2.2, and shows his aroused dick to the delusional Kat. 

Quirky small towns:  That's Eureka, not Euphoria

My grade:  I didn't care much for the old-fashioned, stereotypic view of sexual identity, but these are teenagers, trying to figure things out in a world of abusive or clueless adults, so I'll give them a pass. B

Sneak Peak of A Rift in Time Chapter 4!

Hi! Apologies for the delay on the next chapter of A Rift in Time, rest assured me and @weaponsdrawn are still working hard on it. But to make it up to you, under the cut is a sneak peak of said chapter, The One Where We Fight A Lot!

Pinprick silently picked up a remote with a giant red button on it. “...Everything Agent B said was complete misinformation, and sitcoms are not an invasive species. But the rest of you… you’re on the right track.” He clicked the button, and an image of what looked like a giant web made out of stars appeared on the screen. “We’ve been trying to track Sorrow- and traces of this unknown creature of darkness-” 

Nate shivered at the memory of witnessing Booloo- er, Sorrow, getting grabbed and dragged into… what he could only describe as a swirling portal of nightmares and other fucked up shit he couldn’t be bothered to think up right now. 

“And we’ve managed to track them down to a sitcom dimension.” 

Keys looked at Pinprick with worry. “Sitcom dimension…? I- but- the-” he fell silent, in an attempt to hide his worry, but his teammates could see that he was slightly shaking. 

“Don’t worry, Agent K. The manual is- outdated in that sense. Now, about the file, Agent-” 

In the blink of an eye, Nate leaned forward, snatched up the file, and started thumbing through it, his grin growing wide. “Wow! I can’t read any of this! Holy shit, I’m actually reading a classified-”

Pinprick glared at Nate. “Pixel. I wasn’t talking to you.” 

Nate summoned his wallet. “Buuuuut this paper I pulled out of nowhere says that I-”

Roxanne snatched the file back. “THIS is why you’re on tech support, Nate. Because right now, you’re acting like a Grade A moron.”

Nate pouted. “You’re no fun.” 

She glared. “Yes, but I am within Nate Slapping-Some-Sense Distance.” 

“...Oh.” He unsummoned his wallet, and slowly raised his hands in surrender, his face clearly trying to mask his concern. “Mkay. Won’t do that again.” 

“Please.” Roxanne’s voice pleaded, clearly showing some exasperation in it. “Please be good.”

Pinprick loudly cleared his throat. “Agent Hoshi, the mind control gadgets DON’T affect me- there are safeguards, since after all, we ARE running an agency. But thanks for attempting to keep the peace. Now hand the file over to Agent K.” 

Roxanne complied, and Keys opened the file. “Oh. Huh…” 

Buttons climbed onto Keys’ back like a koala, and leaned over on his shoulder. “Letme see the file that Nate Shapiro isn’t allowed to read at all!!!!”

The pair quickly skimmed through pages of text, graphs, diagrams, and photo examples. “Wait… weed isn’t allowed in this dimension?” 

Pinprick nodded yes. 

“That’s oddly specific.” mused Keys. 

“That’s sitcom dimensions for you.”

GMA star Amy Robach’s stepson Nate Shue, 26, shares private family texts after slamming her ‘senseless affair drama’

AMY Robach's stepson Nate Shue has shared a private family text following her "affair" with GMA co-star TJ Holmes. 

Amy's ex Andrew Shue's eldest son Nate, 26, posted a message exchange with his brother Wyatt on his Instagram Stories.

Wyatt had sent Nate a clip of a scene from the 2004 romantic movie, The Notebook. 

He texted: "Almost made me cry I dunno why."

Nate replied: "That movie could turn a silverback gorilla into a little b***h."

Nate himself is an actor who recently starred in the short film Sense. 

The U.S. Sun exclusively revealed earlier this month that he doesn't want Amy's "affair" with TJ Holmes to overshadow his acting career as he tries to make it in Hollywood.

His stepmom Amy's relationship with Good Morning America co-host TJ made national headlines when it was exposed in November.

One pal told The U.S Sun: "It's a really difficult time for Nate and his family and he has been overwhelmed by the situation,” adding that he is staying positive. 

Another source said: "He seems to be doing well, he's just a young artist trying to make art, he's been in LA a few years now and has an agent and manager.

Nate declined to comment on his father's marriage when approached by The U.S. Sun.

Amy and TJ's "affair" broke in November, when they were spotted enjoying what looked like a series of PDA-filled "dates" and even a weekend getaway together.

In pictures obtained by DailyMail, the TV stars looked intimate while having a drink at a bar in New York City on November 10.

They were also caught apparently spending time together at each other's apartments in Manhattan.

The pair - who began anchoring GMA3 in 2020 - reportedly headed to upstate New York on November 11 for a weekend getaway at a cottage two weeks before Thanksgiving.

Amy has filed for divorce from Nate's father Andrew.

TJ and Amy were taken off GMA3 after the public caught wind of their "affair."

They will remain suspended until an internal review of their relationship has been completed.
