Had another amazing surprise last week - my debut CD was nominate for two more awards by the Native American Style Flute Awards !! One for "Album of the Year" and a second for "Best Producer" which is very humbling on both accounts. I want to give a shout out to all of the nominees and participant's in every category. So encouraging to be included alongside truly incredible talent and giftedness. I am a little late to the party on this announcement because the official press release and announcement came out last week - I have only told a few folks until now :) Thanks to you all for celebrating this with me and being there to encourage me on this journey !! Some new additions to the flute collection that were added over the weekend. . We have a Drone in the key of A made by master flute maker Dana Ross of Falcon Flutes. Beautiful to look at and exquisite to play and hear. . Second we have a really cool design by David Garrett in the key of E. I don't know what to call it other than "the feather flute". This is my first flute made by him and I just had to have it cause it was such a cool look. Sounds good too :) . Both of these were acquired at The Indian Store in Cherokee North Carolina - presided over by good friends Keith and Patty Derreberry. This is one of my favorite Native American Style Flutes from my collection. I acquired it in the summer of 2017. It is in the Key of B. It is made of African Mahogany and Alaskan Yellow Cedar. It was created by master craftsman flutemaker Dana Ross. I got it in Cherokee North Carolina at The Indian Store owned and operated by Keith and Patty Derreberry.
