hello, how do we hide the communities feature on the nav bar? i am not part of any and will not be. this is very inconvenient.

Thank you for your question here, we wonder if this might be a bug.

We will assume here that the nav bar refers to the bottom bar on the native apps. We have confirmed that Communities do not appear in the nav bar on web unless you’re part of one.

If you, or anyone else, see the Communities icon in the bottom bar, without being a member of a community, please contact Support.

obligatory "i aint dead" post because its my birthday, im actually the Opposite of dead i am one year older ! 27. damn.

i made a sideblog which sole purpose is to act as a character page for rory (my gw2 commander, not me lol), meaning there will be no content whatsoever on it except for the three existing info posts

at first i wanted to just do a custom theme (which i did, still a work in progress) but i realised it would only be visible on desktop so i made the posts for mobile users

they are... long posts that probably aren't dashboard friendly because of that haha but i do have lots to say about him

i'd like to mentally share something with the class since i assume that many of you don't look at my blog on desktop mode but...

in other words, i upped the chapter count again and we are only halfway through L♡VE IN F♡CUS

once you work in ui for a little bit you start to see ui Things that make you feel like crawling into your screen, finding whoever wanted that, and making them use their own fucking application.

my most hated ui features: when the dimensions of the screen are different depending on if you have a keyboard visible. too many times i have minimised the keyboard and tapped on something, only for the screen to update as I'm tapping, so i select exactly the wrong thing

things that havent been considered for mobile vs browser use. you cant hover on mobile. update your fucking side panel to be one tap open one tap close, i cant see your options

when the button that means "confirm/send" or "delete" switches side within an app (tumblr, why is "discard" on the left when you exit a post draft but on the right side when you exit an ask???????)

confusing icons. text is not the enemy. how am i meant to know what 📝 means in this context?

i would just like to talk to tumblrs ux designers about the app design, because why the hell did they place the "create post" button in the bottom right. there is no need for that to be in the Thumb Zone. no one makes new posts often enough for that button to have to be so accessible. all it does is make me crazy because when i scroll, i constantly hit it by accident and the "create post" pop up, well, pops up and i have to close it and it actually drives me a bit insane
