Full fic didn’t work so here’s a collection of mini interactions! For a small bit of context for y’all, Charles is based on a humming bird and Dr. V is a black heron.

1.

Nav, Charles, and Dave are huddled together.

Nav: Dave did you get the stuff you were gone for forever! They better be shiny!

Dave: yeah, had to cross the border though…. So you owe me more gas money. The stands here only had stupid sparklers.

Charles: dudeeee look at these! They are gonna light up great! You even got firecrackers!! smiles with glee at the future shenanigans

door opens, enter Galeforce stage right

Galeforce: what are you knuckleheads doing?

All three: SCATTER! they book it, dropping the bags of fireworks as they do

Galeforce sighs and picks up the packages left behind.

Nav: Charles… why are you on the fridge?

Charles: I had a full sugar soda and everything kinda went sideways from there.

Dr. V Working, wings covering her work table, head vanished in among the feathers. Muttering can be heard

Ellie from the next room over “V your talking to the lights again!”

Dr V: pokes head up through the feather curtain in surprise

This would mean that Nav is still with the toppats, and since this would mean he mostly tuned out the world around them, (and he would still be young when the two marry) He wouldn't notice a thing. Poor guy....

Nav is an avian, so while he does have a human appearance, the wings on his back wouldn't put him in the 'human' category. He can fly! Not much past that from a normal human guy.

I do like your Alex & hope you show xem & xeir lovers off more. But Nav and their story is just something that honestly needs a hard reboot. The Toppats have never been shown to be abusive ( the most evil Toppat shown was TRNK ) & portraying Reginald & RHM as OOC evil torturous bastards for your uwu Stickvin makes a lot of people uncomfortable. Just hope a certain popular ceo of Copperright doesn't find this lore because you won't recover from that.

TL:DR If you or others are uncomfortable with reading my work, then I politely ask you not to read it.

Now for a longer explanation.

While I do understand that you dislike some aspects of my story for Nav, it is my story. I didn't want the toppats to be all nice in my AU, so I have them harsh and darker. They're criminals in a clan after all. Nav himself is not ' uwu ' either. While he is a wholesome man, he is still healing from his trauma. Charles too! They just found joy in eachother, and they heal together after the events of Feather Falling.

The toppats may not have had glaringly obvious examples of the usual examples of abuse, but I point your attention to Dave. Dave has been stuck in the brig, in a tiny room, for god knows how long in that airship. You could argue since you don't see a bed, sink, or bathroom drawn in that scene within the games, you could argue the toppats are very clearly placing him in an extreme form of solitary confinement. Which is considered torture. (One source linked, you can look up more resources on your own.)

And it's an AU! Characters CAN be ooc because it's not cannon! That's the beauty of it! Do you remember RHM:G ? That was a great change to the usual formula, and it was DELIGHTFULLY dark. I love dark AUs and when done right, it can really be an interesting read. and a "certain popular ceo of copperright" ? Why would I be afraid of anyone finding my lore? Not everything has to be sunshine and rainbows. If someone that got the name ceo of copperright, and they saw my work, I'd ask what they thought of it and how to improve.

While I DO want to rewrite Feather Falling one day so it's better quality, I'm not changing my lore. If you or others are uncomfortable with reading my work, then I politely ask you not to read it.

🖤 BLACK HEART — has your oc killed or seriously wounded anyone before? have they broken someone's heart and/or broken someone's trust? Alex and Theo have NEVER harmed anyone, let alone purposefully hurt someone, even if they wronged them. Write has fought others, but no battle ended in a death or serious injury.

(a LOT of violence+blood below the cut. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED)

Near the end of what would be Feather Falling, both him and Charles failed to stop the station launch, and had a mission to infiltrate and take it down. During the mission, they get caught. Being interrogated, It was very clear they wanted to send a message, and one of those was the plan to not allow Nav to leave.

At least, alive.

A former toppat, being forced to watch the two highest ranking men in the toppats, Reginald and Right, torture the one he loves, does something to Nav. Yelling at them to stop, willing to give up information just to save Charles.

And when one takes the knife to cut away at Charles's wing, Nav snaps. A surge of strength, one hand free from the cuffs after he dislocated one thumb to slip free. The metal chair slams into Right Hand Man's face, the knife dropping down to the bloodied floor. Nav steps over him, and carefully over Charles's lost wing, and slams the chair down again.

and again.

and again.

and again.

and again.

Charles doesn't even hear the bones breaking and squelching of flesh and blood. He passed out from the blood loss a while ago. Reginald bolted from the room after a feeble attempt to drag him off of RHM, only to narrowly miss a swing to his own face. He ran for his own safety. Soon after, Nav stopped his beat down, dropping the mangled weapon from his aching hands. Then, he is dragged painfully back into reality, when his eyes fall upon the removed orange wing on the ground. The keys were grabbed, Charles and his wing slung into his arms, and Nav ran for the escape pods.

.. so, yes. Nav did seriously injure someone. Thanks for asking :D

🍝 SPAGHETTI — what is/are your oc's favorite food(s)?

*claps hands together* Thank you so much for this question! I have a few solid foods, but for some, its surprising that they mirror each other so much- Nav, like said in his profile, LOVES diner food. French fries with a burger and a milkshake is a perfect meal he likes to have, and maybe a slice of pie to go along with it. Fast food is always a solid choice to have whenever you hang out with him if you don't have a local diner in the neighborhood.

Alex is a tricky one to nail down. Xey don't really go out much, but they do have places they prefer to go out to eat to. As a kid, they went to alot of luau's, taking bits and pieces of food that everyone brought or made. Chicken Long Rice would be a comfort for them, rice noodles, chicken thighs, ginger, garlic, and soy sauce all mixed and cooked together would bring back that warmth from home.

Theo is an Orycto, and as they are vegetarian, doesnt eat meat in their diets. They do raise chickens on their planet, and loads of other animals, so theres no real limit to their diet apart from that. They do like the creamy soups their mother made, but when they went out on the grand adventure with their other friends, the discovery of mac n cheese threw that out of the number one spot.

Last, but not least, Write Knight. Medieval times didnt have the luxuries of the foods of today times, so their food was the most limited. The taverns were the main places they gained any food to eat when cooped up in their home all day and night. They settle with a hearty stew and bread, good and warm to help keep them going. If they were to try food in the modern day, i'd think stirred fried rice would be a favorite.

This might be silly but how is the navigation skills on Nav?

Birds have excellent senses of direction if they migrate, and they need to remember where they built their nests.

But, Nav and everyone else is an avian. Him being relatively new to the military, he's not good at tactical navigation, but he can remember the way home from the store and such. Charles, who had training, is much better at remembering and navigating around. He usually leads the way when out with Nav or friends.
