🌝 Cutting Your Hair By The Moon:

Farmers have relied upon the moon’s phases for guidance on when to plant crops for optimal growth, dating as far back as the 1800s, at least, from when the Farmer’s Almanac was first published. Some folks in Appalachia decide when to cut their hair based on the phase of the moon.

According to lore, conditions are best for hair growth during the waxing of the moon, ie, when we see a half moon in the sky. To have a hair cut during full moon encourages it to grow with more health, abundance, brightness and strength. If you don’t want your hair to grow too fast when you get it cut, then cut it during the waning period.

Superstition or not, it kind of makes sense: The moon affects so many other elements of nature, so why not us too?

I saw that you mentioned on bsky that their uniforms had changed a little. How so and are any of the recent drawings showing the updated designs?

It’s just that we didn’t have a uniform for a lot of sketches before coming up with some options (jackets, vests, the uniform for special occasions, pe stuff, ets) + we came up with different combinations for the way the boys dress. You can see it when Ned wears a vest or Niall wears a jacket in our sketches, that’s from around that time. Before that, it was only one option for every single sketch, like here, basically. They can still dress up this way, it’s all a part of their uniform sets, but it’s boring in terms of character design lol

These aren’t supposed to be the boys, but it ended up working perfectly for the four of them, so now it’s kinda what they wear lol All of the buttons are used for different pieces of clothing, but I don’t really remember which ones.

CROSS’S DAY JOB

‘By night’ ( figuratively ) Cross is a fixer ━ pretty plain and simple. Not one of the glitzy & kitschy fixers who will get you pull at the Afterlife, but a fixer with a strong institutional background. A kingpin, essentially, an influential figure who will give you a great upfront payment but will certainly deny involvement at the first sight of an inquisitive Media. 

But by day Cross, or Serena, is the acting Executive Director of the Night City Port Authority ━ a governmental agency which oversees trade, transport, real estate, and infrastructure regarding Night City’s Ports.

Initially founded in 2030, the Port Authority was formed as the successor agency to the Night City Harbor Authority, following the conclusion of Harbormaster  Mahan Jones’ term of service. Jones’ Harbor Authority was efficient, but effectively independent from Night City. As such, it became in the interests of City Council and the Mayor to reign in the rogue Harbor Police. The secondary objective of the Port Authority was to unite services in Del Coronado Bay to San Morro Bay. This included the annexation of the San Morro Bay Cargo & Container Port.  The N.C. Harbor Police was retained as a separate agency, largely operating in the same way as the NCPD operates. The Harbormaster thus became responsible for enforcement of Night City’s maritime laws while the Port Authority handled planning, infrastructure development, and trade logistics.  Currently, the Authority participates in a joint partnership of several other Night City agencies as part of the Night City Customs Commission. Of which, each department head of their respective agencies holds a seat on the Commission's Board. Represented are the Night City Corporate Relations Bureau, Internal Revenue Service of Night City, Commerce Agency, the Office of the Night City Treasurer, and the Port Authority. Each, of course, is sponsored by one of Night City’s major corporation ━ Cross being sponsored by NightCorp for example.
