10 Q’s Meme - Round 4

Round 4 - tagged by @ashuriphoenix (Thank you! And thank you for your hilarious and awesome gameplay that you share with the rest of us!)

1) If you could redesign the Sims game you play, what would you add to it?  What would you remove? Well.... I play Sims3, so I think I’d add file names on hover or something to CAS items. Because figuring out what you’re looking at in-game in CAS is a giant royal pain the arse. Remove... possibly the automatic complaint animation that happens whenever a sim encounters a routing failure. Then again, mostly only because it happens too often because worlds are not well-routed. xD So maybe just... better world routing, and better ability for sims to re-route.

2) Have you had a moment in your game that you find incredibly funny? OMG. So... this one night, I had the household I was actively playing invite a sim from one of my other households over, so I could find that sim to mess with him in CAS. That’s it. That was my sole motivation. Didn’t want to switch households, wanted to click on him to edit him. HILARITY ENSUED. He came over, a trick or treater arrived right before he did (wearing a giant alien head which at first freaked me out), and the sim who invited him never greeted him because she was trying to talk to the trick-or-treater and failing because she kept glitching and walking up into the air and getting stuck there. Since she was stuck, she then posed. So of course, he got impatient and wandered inside... into the bathroom, where the other house resident was about to clean (until he walked in), and so she cast flight of felicity on him and the two of them spent the next two hours flirting. In the bathroom. Meanwhile the sim who invited him over was frustrated he hadn’t talked to her. I have never laughed so hard. My son kept looking at me and going, ‘what now?’

3) Do you prefer to write stories for your game or just play? I enjoy a bit of both. I don’t write and then use the game to act out my story though. I play my game and sometimes write story to accompany the game play.

4) Do you have a sim that you could just take photos of all day because you find them appealing?  Why do you find them so photogenic? I seem to often just take too many screenshots. So many screenshots. I guess mostly Joran or Griselda or Ninae. Joran is just... well. He’s a hunky blue genie. Eye candy. xD When he’s giving a performance I take way too many screenshots. Griselda has a toddler and the two of them together are just SO adorable. Ninae... well. I once took like a dozen screenshots of her feeding the fish in a fishtank. Because every angle was awesome. I think of all my sims thus far, I like her face the best.

5) If you could add a single object from another sims game into your own game, what would it be? I want that dog jacket with the shark on it for my Sims3 dogs. xD

6) If you could trade save games / cc with another Simblr, who would you choose? This is hard. Mmmm. I think perhaps @simplyimaginarypeople would be my choice, though she wouldn’t want mine. But if I had hers, all my CC would already be SO clean and organized and I wouldn’t have that huge project still on my to-do list. *runs away before Simply Sensei swats her*

7) Is there a piece of cc in your game that you cannot live without under any circumstances?  (You can feel free to list more than one if you have ‘em, you clingy bastards.  xD) OMG. Okay. #1 The Multi-tab 6000. Does that count as CC, even though it’s a store item? It was the first item I ever acquired from the Sims3 store, it’s nearly always one of the first items I purchase for a new sim, and it makes skill building SO much easier. For non-EA items... I think the only non EA items that I absolutely cannot live without would be some of my patterns. And I can’t choose just one. Half of my fun with this game is messing around with patterns. I NEED MY PATTERNS.

8) What’s your favorite life state (toddlers, children, teens, YA, etc)? I’m not sure I have a favorite, really. I could say YA, but if I said that it would only be because the game puts so many restrictions on what the younger life states can actually do. This is something I’m perpetually frustrated by. Like, why can’t my toddler play with the kitten? Toddlers should be able to play with kittens, drat it all. Kittens should be able to figure out how to climb stairs! They have claws! I think toddlers are adorable, but I’m eternally frustrated by the limitations they have.

9) What do you think is your greatest flaw when you play?  Or, how would you prefer to play the game if you could change old habits? Hmmmmm. I think, I’m a bit of a control freak in my game. When I’m actively playing a household, I pause a lot, check on each and every sim frequently, and often queue up actions for them to complete while I’m checking on other members of the household. The game surprises me sometimes, but I think I might enjoy the spontaneity if I left my sims to their own devices more often.

10) If your sim(s) could meet another Simblr’s sim, who would it be and why? Hmmmm! The only thing I could really see as likely, in character, would be for Ninae or Sebastian to run across Sully from @morganaplays game or something... because it’s IC for them to travel a lot on spy business, and I could see them running into him somewhere while they were hunting down bad guys.

My questions I will post later… because I have one more set of questions to answer (though those are from a different meme I think). Doing this has been a ton of fun for me!
