It's only a short boat trip from Nemberala to the most southern island in the Indonesian archipelago. Dana is off the south west corner of Rote and has a few reefs that provide some fun waves. My Father's Day has been spent at a surf spot on virtually the southern most island in Indonesia. It's had me thinking about my first surfing experiences. This is my dad age 16 in the Torquay caravan park in 1944 and beside him is the first surfboard I ever rode more than a decade later when I was around 3 or 4 years old.
