Having to do some truly heinous, convoluted bullshit to outlook via rules and power automate in order to circumvent a problem that would not EXIST if they would give a SINGLE person on my team the permissions to save SAP BI reports directly to a network drive, which is absolutely a function it has out of the box.
#INSTEAD I: have to set up an Outlook rule that copies these emails to a folder#then a PA flow that will save those attachments to a specific series of Sharepoint folders#which I then download#in order to upload the files to a network location#this is because our PREVIOUS bullshit solution was editing the registry to allow Outlook to run a VBA script to sort and upload the reports#which only runs on a VM which we have LOST ACCESS TOO and IT does not know why (they still have access)#this is a Real and Functional company :|

"The only orders I take are from Lord Brevon! Besides, you let Scourge go to fight against that key wielding Sonic whenever he wants!"
"That's because punishment is always waiting for him when he gets back..."
Right on cue, Scourge returns.
"(BLEEP) IT, (BLEEP) IT, (BLEEP) IT!!! WHY CAN I NEVER BEAT THAT KEY WIELDING FREAK!?!?"
"Ah, Scourge. You went to fight Prince Sonic without my permission again, I see. You know what that means, right?"
"Hah! Go ahead and sick Rosy on me! Obake's upgrades allows me to use my Super Form even longer! I'm indestructible!"
"...Obake."
Scourge's Super Form suddenly deactivated. And what's worse, the energy drain that Obake originally took away using the special bracelets he invented returned with a vengeance.
"Wha... What the (BLEEP)...?!"
"Sorry, my friend, but I'm not willing to be erased from existence on your behalf. That's why I had to manually deactivate your upgrades."
"That... That ain't fair, man..."
"Now, with that settled... Rosy, be a dear and smash your Scourgey poo for me, please."
"With pleasure, Slurry! I've prepared a very special head smashing for you, Scourgey! Don't worry... IT'LL ONLY HURT A LOT!!!"
"Oh (BLEEP)...

my school rly had us spend 4 years filling up a google drive with really important art career information, photos, essays, etc.. then suddenly restricted access with no warning after graduation, then when enough people pitched a fit they gave it back for a short window of time, but made it LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE to back anything up
#i can't transfer ownership because my other google accounts are 'out of network'#so i have to share it then copy and paste what i want into my own folders to make myself owner#but i can't copy entire folders just documents because a folder will just make a shortcut#and any documents i submitted on google classroom belong to the professor for that class and i can't copy them#so i have to request the professor for editor writes so i can copy them then make a copy of the copy to give myself ownership#what if i threw up#and if i try and download everything to my laptop the files are to big and i get 10 failed zip folders#and i also just don't have room on my laptop for that :/#i'm also a stubborn IT guy and this is difficult and annoying for me so i can only IMAGINE what it's like for ppl who have no clue what the#are doing

#made me think of the Horned King and his s/o#in fact I think I have a *need* to draw a similar scene with the him and Selena#on a (lengthy) side note this remembered me of that one time where I wrote a short story based on a death and the maiden painting#I can't recall any context other than it was for some German class project in middle school (like 8th grade)#but it made me get just a tiny bit obsessed with the motif at that time and I still remember this assignment fondly for some reason#(secretly I might have also imagined myself in place of the maiden in the inspiration picture - I wanted some skeleton cuddles too)#I actually tried to find the text but couldn't locate the printed version (my old middle school folders and notebooks are quite a mess)#but I think I moved all my school related files from my computer to another storage in our home network after graduating#so I might have a look there because now I have a strange determination to find and reread my clunky 8th grade writing#got a bit sidetracked here once again
