I’m still really confused why they didn’t show the Lost Boys in Jake and the Never Land Pirates. I can partially excuse them not showing the Pixie Hollow fairies because of separate branding and stuff but - Not the Lost Boys?? Seriously? There’s a whole-ass episode showing the Darling children and even showing us the hideout, yet no Lost Boys? And it’s not even me being salty about continuity, the show takes some inspiration from the Peter Pan book by including the Neverbird, and they used the “kiss” idea in the finale from one of the older non-Disney Peter Pan stuff. So what was the reason here? Both in and out-of-universe?
I shouldn’t care a lot but regardless of media, having Peter Pan at all without the Lost Boys (even if both are kinda in the backdrop) is like Cinderella without a fairy godmother, or Aladdin without his magic genie in a lamp, it’s just… odd.
#jake and the never land pirates#Peter Pan disney#disney peter pan#Peter pan#I watched JATNLP before any of the Peter Pan movies - prequels included#So you can imagine the sheer confusion little me had when I saw Return to Never Land and they had a character named Cubby that wasn’t Cubby#If they intentionally named series!Cubby after movie!Cubby that raises many questions but if it was a coincidence it raises even more#Maybe because Disney’s Peter Pan had so many controversies that Jr took out the Lost Boys - But that’s me assuming#I guess if anyone was to make an in-universe explanation the Lost Boys just flew away to the lands beyond the NeverSea and just never retur#Or maybe they just got lost? Lmao#lost boys

so! tell me more about this neverland and places where hook and jafar could make out without being spotted by children......................
/ PFTTTTT
Okayokay xD But the last thing on Hook's mind would be to do... adult things within Neverland, because no matter what, in the back of his mind he'll always feel like there are children watching him ready to trick him or taunt him.
BUT. There are a few places where they can have somewhat of a romantic time together, hold hands, sit down, maybe smooch a lil uwu
Theres the place called cupid's grove which can take you down a path to the valley of roses which is a very typical 'romantic' place on Neverland. Otherwise there are plenty of lovely beaches, caves, valleys etc for them to maybe find some privacy in. There are many risks in all parts of Neverland however.
#grandvizier#still figuring out parts of neverland in THAT regard xD#but theres not much privacy there#and hes scared of being caught or seen the most in neverland#best away from the island and towards another in the neverseas for privacy

For those who think Jake's a little perfect bean, WELL YOU'RE WRONG /j
Here are some flaws and insecurities I've picked up from re-watching the show:
Flaws:
- Overconfidence, thinks things will always work out, but they don't all the time. (Jake Saves Bucky, Jake's Neverland Rescue, The Great Neversea Conquest, Pirate Genie-In-A-Bottle, The Golden Smee, Hooked Together)
- Way too forgiving (Any episode with Hook, The Great Neversea Conquest -buddy had in mind Beatrice Le Beak-)
- Believing he needs to do everything on his own at times (Jake's Mega-Mecha Sword, Jake's Neverland Rescue, Peter Pan Returns)
- Suppressing feelings, putting on a façade that he's all optimistic when in reality hides a lot of fears and worries during adventures (Witch Hook)
- People pleaser (Peter Pan Returns, Jake's Neverland Rescue)
- (Lowkey) Underestimates others. (Queen Izzy-bella, The Emerald Coconut)
Insecurities:
- Not good enough leader. Thinks he will let his crew down if he makes a mistake (Stems from the burden of carrying everyone else's problems, possibly compromising his crew)
- Not good enough friend. Thinks he might be putting his own needs above his friends' in a selfish manner, or thinks he might not take them seriously as they take him. (Jake's Neverland Rescue)
- Might be projecting some insecurity related to his skills into his sword, making it an object of comfort for those worries. (Jake's Mega-Mecha Sword, the Sword and the Stone, Jake's Neverland Rescue)
- Might believe he is not as good, using and always relying on his friends for support and help. Izzy to get him out of emergencies, Skully to keep him grounded and Cubby to lead the way each time even if he could do it himself.
Feel free to add more, these are mostly some things I've picked up with some analysis, and a bit of dot connecting lol

Never Neverland AU
- AfO never grows up, a child who flies around in the night, taking other children by the hand and carrying them off
- The first child he did this to was Yoichi, his twin brother, clinging to him and dragging him through the Neverseas to the island.
- When Yoichi rescued by two sailors and escaped his brother, his hand was cut off and eaten... And ah, not by a crocodile. Yoichi healed and learned to sail, returning to Never Neverland to bring his brother back and rescue the Lost Children he's taken.
- AfO recognizes his brother, and tells "the brave hero, Captain Hookhand" that he should have never let him grow up, and that he doesn't make that mistake anymore with the other children.
- Yoichi, and his second mate and third mate, rescue Shinomori some time later- he was a Lost Child who a fairy warned of danger the night before his thirteenth birthday and fled before AfO could kill him. He hid around the island alone for a few years before he joined the crew aboard the One For All.
- Banjo, a sailor and the crew's singing time keeper, later rescued En from a similar fate.
- AfO brought Nana to Never Neverland one day, because he was attempting to grab Kotaro and carry him off, but Kotaro kept talking of his mother. AfO is curious about having a mother - he thinks he had one once, and if he lost one he should get to take a new one, though a father sounds dreadful. So... He kills Kotaro's father, and grabs Nana as well, seeing her ability to quickly pick up flight as a good sign.
- Nana acted the perfect guest and mother for one day, and drugged the food she made. It would have tasted terrible anyway. AfO decides to get rid of her in the morning, but falls asleep before she can finish her bedtime story. Then she grabs Kotaro and flees. But she can't navigate off the island, and is hailed down by the One For All. They offer to take her and Kotaro back, but the sailor Sorahiko tells her more of AfO on the way, and she realizes she needs to rescue the other children, not just her own son. So she hides Kotaro, and returns to Never Neverland. She manages to sway a few of the children to her, but AfO keeps a tight grip on the others, and holds a grudge for a long time.

Based on my incomplete knowledge of twst and fairy stories, these are who i think all ur OCs are based on, with varying levels of confidence:
Yev - Magic mirror? (similar/reflection of vil, "glass" last name meaning?)
Timmy - White rabbit :)
James - pirate? from peter pan (compass, fancy british name, "neversea", captain crunch lol)
Wynfred, Marion, Silas - witches from hocus pocus?
Tony - fish w/ Morgana from little mermaid 2 (he so LITTLE and has those CHOMPERS)
Aspen - Morgana???!? skinny af
Yakub (or Yabuk? u spell it both ways) - Iago :D
Also lavender potion in the coffee for stress(blot?) reduction?
Oooh! These are great guesses! For Yakub, his name is Yakub, but I keep misspelling it and spelling doesn't pick it up cause it doesn't recognize the name *sobs*
Fun fact about the name Yakub, it is a variant of the biblical name Jacob. But why did i assign that name for Iago? Because Iago is a Spanish variant of Jacob! :D I love languages and names and their development!
But the character guesses are pretty good! I think some people have gotten the characters right but I'd have to dig for their comments.
This is also making me realize that I haven't officially introduced the school nurse with her name so no one knows who she's based on lmao I should do that at some point
#mochi asks#ptm#i love my ocs they're so silly#i have two others that will be mentioned but they will be rather minor!

Was for my film art class but I read the instructions wrong after I finished everything, so. Take my lil storyboard and I even sweetened the deal with a little drabble enjoy!
~~
She pulled the nub closer to her as if to try and comfort herself but quickly relaxed it when she remembered, so she let out a sigh “Mhm…”
“It’s going to get better Iz.. I promise.”
(mini story cont below!)
She said nothing to that, only looking back out to the sea. The waves once stained with red earlier in the day, due to the amount of bodies that were dumped into the sea were now calm. Those same bodies were now once again walking and talking as if hell didn’t transpire today.
The pirate lass was one of those bodies, one of the first alongside cubby actually. Though she didn’t remember much after her own… well beating would be an understatement. It felt more akin to a ruthless slaughter to her considering it was so severe that she lost a limb from it. The final result was even more horrifying apparently from what she could gather from Jake’s semi-cohesive sobs; her and cubby looked more like a pile of organs, flesh and meat rather than two bodies.
“Also.. I’m still sorry we couldn’t find your arm Iz-” “Jake. It’s Fine.” She turned to him, his eyes looking glassy again. “You and the mermaids did everything you could to look for it. Like cubby's leg it's probably lost to the NeverSea current. Atleast the fish or sharks are getting some use out of it.” “But they shouldn’t!” The boy protested, small trails of tears sliding down his cheek. “IT should be on you. I brought you back but I couldn’t bring all of you back! And now you’re permanently disabled because of me-” “Are you the one that took off my arm?” “Well- no but-” “Then it's not your fault, Jake.”
Jake’s brow pinched in frustration, how could she not get it? Maybe he wasn’t the one to rip off their limbs but he was the one that separated them. That sent them to their graves. If he Just would have known! He should have seen it coming, why else would a villain have three hallways like a maze?! Oh he should have known something was up! If he had only listened to his intuition beforehand.
“Do you not get Iz?” He huffed, “ I could have prevented this, If I had just thought about it more and not separated us, We could have gone in twos, or as a group! Izzy don’t you understand I could have done something?!”
“Done what Jake?” She herself was getting abit agitated now, he shouldn’t beat himself up over this. “What could you have done? You aren’t psychic, you can see into the future. There is nothing you could have really done to prevent this from happening to us.”
“B-But!-”
“THERE IS NOTHING.” Frustration roared through her voice as she raised it higher, her brown eyes glaring into his own. After a moment of silence she let out a breath and continued her voice now falling stern “.....There is nothing you can do now Jake, you can’t go back to prevent us from splitting up, you can’t go back to prevent me and cubby from getting killed. All we can do is move forward, you have us here now yeah? It’s still us. Just a little different.”
She then stood up brushing, the sand off her being careful to avoid brushing too wildly lest she wanted bits of sand to get between the bandages, she could almost shudder how itchy some sand would be if they managed to reach the gauze and subsequently her stitches. She looked down at him, a softer expression on her face as she spoke.
“You can’t save everything Jake, sometimes you can only save what you can and you’re going to have to be ok with that. You did what you could and I will forever be grateful for that.”
With those final words she walked off, he didn’t hear her open the hideout entrance, so he assumed she must have walked into the island itself to probably be alone. As much as he would rather herd her back to the hideout to get some rest, he figured she wanted some more private time to herself and after what they went through today… he let her go, he too would want to decompress by his lonesome if he had to be put back together.
He looked back out to the sea, the sunset just reaching its end and the moon was rising higher into the horizon. Sniffing abit, he wiped away whatever track marks remained on his face, yet a few tears still escaped his eyes and he wiped those too.
Izzy was right he couldn’t dwell on this, he did have to move forward..Neverland was back to normal, all the residences of Neverland were alive once more, and the three people dearest to him were back to him… But…
He let out a heavy sigh, crashing back into the sand, the stars making their appearances as the last bits of twilight faded away. He could feel his eyes beginning to water up again.
Leaders don’t make mistakes like that, he felt like a fucking failure.
