Yes! It's my grandma's tamales! She makes them the best, and I really like the texture of the masa. Idk how to describe it, kinda cake like but firmer and savory? She puts in a bit of the beef broth of the filling into the masa to give it color and taste, and it's super enjoyable!

I like it with a fried egg and red rice :) it's delish!

Why I can hear the sadness and pettiness of Malleus voice when he says “My child of man never interacts with me like that”

I want to squish his cheeks so bad

He's a cutie and a bit of a brat and he's just curious about his human. At this point in thr story, he just starting to learn how they interact with people outside of him. He's not necessarily petty or upset, just genuinely curious. Malleus really likes watching people interact with each other.

Plus, Yuu and Idia (the ones bickering here) have very fun reactions to each other because Yuu likes to provoke Idia and Idia cannot fathom losing an argument about something he's a self proclaimed expert in.

Overall, no sadness here! Just genuine curiosity and delight

10. What's your favorite part about the fic writing process?

I like coming up with the ideas and making outlines! During this time, I usually take the opportunity to look up symbolism and stuff that I want to be important in the story! Also, making my playlists for them lol.

7. How do you handle writer's block or moments of creative stagnation?

Depend on what it is. If it's for an event or request of some sort, I'll put it to the side and work on the next one in line, or the next one that is most interesting to me. If it's for a new chapter, I will listen to my playlists that I make to help get into the groove and ask my friend for some recommendations to move along.

Sometimes I'll just make a whole new playlist too and analyze the lyrics of the songs I chose for inspiration!

13. What's the most challenging aspect of writing fanfiction for you?

I think it comes with trying to keep things even? Like most of my chapters for PTM I feel obligated to keep around the same length and that I think stresses me out. For the events, it's trying to keep them around the same length and then getting frustrated when one request is a lot longer than the others. Sometimes a certain request will just hit the right spot and I feel guilty when the other requests don't turn out the same. I try to just go with what I can though.

19. What's the most unusual or unique setting you've used?

Hmm, I'm not sure! I think for TWST everything has taken place within the universe with little change. One of the fics I wanted to write was for Dia de Muertos last year, in which I wanted a Mexican!Yuu to set up ofrendas and stuff with the characters that have canonically lost someone participating as well. Eventually it would've ended up in a ghost world with all of their loved ones exchanging sweet words with them before "waking up" from a dream. It would've been up to the readers' interpretation if they actually met with the ghosts or just shared a dream.

I wanted to go into #24 of the latest ask. I've written fanfiction for other Fandoms. But I can't seem to write more than a few pages on any one TWST fic that I think up before I lose the plot or run into a character interaction that doesn't fit the rest of the story I want to tell. Any advice?

24. What advice would you give to someone who wants to start writing fanfiction?

I think it depends on what you're writing and how you want it to come off. For me personally, it was easiest to start off with a concept from another media and use that as inspiration for my fic. In my case, it was Mousou Telepathy for PTM.

I personally recommend this when first starting out cause when you're first starting to write, I can be stressfull coming up with an original concept and figuring out how to outline it and come out the way you want it to. With another media as inspiration, when you're in a slump you can use the media to help you move through the right direction!

I also find that making outlines with a very basic synposis for the chapter you're writing helps! I personally like to speak with other people and kinda brainstorm ideas too. That one's a lil harder since I have one friend that I do that with but they get busy too sometimes. Aaaah maybe I'll make a discord server for people to share ideas and help with stuff like that

I know I love it when readers catch details in something I've written. But I get too excited to spot them all when I read something compelling. (Sorry!)

What's a detail you've put in PTM that is one you really, really like that hasn't gotten called out yet? If you can share one without spoiling future content, that is. And in that case: favorite detail about PTM?

Hi! I also get the same enjoyment! For me, I don't really analyze or catch details of things the first time reading them around, it takes a second reading sometimes. But I love it when people point them out in my writings cause sometimes I think I do it subconsciously and I'm just like “omg babe youre so right”

But some details in PTM that readers haven't called out? Hmm, I feel that since PTM is more humor based there's not a huge amount of details that I've put in that readers haven't noticed.

I think the biggest thing is that there is a reoccurring theme of lavender. Usually at the beginning of the chapters, minus the first, there is the mention of lavender. I won't mention why that is, as there are several reasons. I will say too things for readers: the word lavender comes from the Latin word “lavare” which means “to wash”, and this is important. Second, lavender in flower language also means devotion and love, but can also symbolize distrust. With these meanings in mind, Clement Robinson's poem in “A handful of pleasant delights” I think best fits the purpose of lavender in PTM:

Lavender is for lovers true, Which evermore be faine; Desiring always for to have Some pleasure for their paine: And when that they obtained have The love that they require, Then have they all their perfect joie, And quenched is the fire.

As for my favorite detail? I love all the names for the side characters! Some have more intent to them, while others are just a spin off of their Disney inspiration's name. The ones with lots of intent behind their names are Yev, Aspen, Yaqub, and Amara (Nurse Goethel). I think someone has already pointed out Yev's names and the meaning behind them, but I'm not sure about the other three. I'm excited to see if they figure it out!
