Finally, we get the opportunity to put our Spy Cards worldbuilding in a work. Though there are many questions about such things as "regulation" "how these cards are printed" "who approves a single spy card", and so on, we are here to present a bold new take: this game is based like 60% on obscure roach memory-reading tech that got turned into a card game with absolutely No card-game-related intentions included in the original tech and most of the card vetting is just from the fact that there aren't too many card printers out there and most of them make cards that need to be translated from Roach.

Strictly speaking, as a card game, it is not a terribly good or well-balanced one. It's popular primarily because of a mix of the difficulty involved in getting the data for high-level cards, the fun of seeing the variety of monsters that can be brought to the table, and the incredible amounts of ham and drama that goes into specifically the professional scene.

I'm not even gonna attempt to make her scaritage make sense. I do like @sassmaster-artjay 's headcanon that she's part siren tho!

I wanted to give her a more realistic looking birthmark, and her wearing shades makes a whole lot more sens to me than the half mask thing. (I don't own an Operetta doll so I'm not even sure how it stays on her face) A pair of shades feels a bit more in character, and rebellious, plus she gets to match her beastie.

Personality wise, she's basically the same as she was in Friday Night Fright's. She's definitely one of those ghouls that everyone else is pretty intimidated by, you definitely want to get on her good side as she responds harshly to any perceived disrespect, even from teachers. She actually gets detention quite often for mouthing back to MH staff, and whenever she gets caught skipping class to go to the catacombs. As such she spends a lot of time around Johnny Spirit.

If anyone asks either of them if they're dating they'd both deny it, but neither of them are ever seen dating other people, and always end up accompanying each other to school events, such as dances.

Anyone close to her know she's actually pretty chill and just looking for a good time. She's actually a bit of a thrill seeker, which is the biggest reason she joined the SKRM team.

She's bisexual, and her beasties are are Deuce and Holt, and the three of them are in a band together (and are rivals to the Fierce Rockers)

I feel like I’d be more on board with a lot of the g3 monster high redesigns if they simply made new, different characters

And I know that that defeats the idea of generations of dolls but it just feels a little forced and so different from the goth alternative style and attitudes of the originals and most of g2

for as pretty and high quality as the new monster high series is, it is a shame that the animation clearly being more expensive leaves the school as a whole looking kind of empty. like the webisodes cost 3 dollars to produce, but because of that they could at least pump out a bunch of generic monster designs to put in the halls. so far in the new series it feels like only the main characters attend monster high, you never seem to see a crowded cafeteria or a bunch of monsters walking between classes, which does make the school feel more lifeless :(
