Wollman Rink, Central Park, 1954. This is a photograph, although it looks like a painting.

Note: I seem to have screwed up my queue for the last few days, but I think everything is now OK.

did u know that if your "friends" treat u badly u can just cut them off and get new friends?? The best realization in life is that there are so many people in the world willing to give u love and support you just need to go outside and start talking to strangers I promise u it will also make their day as well

Can you just imagine you’re a skater and you travel down to South Park for a competition but when you walk into the rink you see:
-The captain of the hockey team pulling every risky stunt he can, almost getting himself killed multiple times
-Some blond kid in dirty ass clothing wrestling with some some brunette and just as you think they’re gonna hurt each other, they start making out
-Two blond kids hanging at the edge of the rink and for the most part they seem normal but then one of them starts shaking so much it looks like he’s vibrating and going to combust any second now and the other is yelling curses and slurs
-Some British kid is going apeshit on some French guy over French people existing
-This demonic looking guy setting shit on fire just by looking at it
-Another blond guy who looks normal enough but the second he says something about being Mormon to the group they all start screaming
-This fat fuck calling someone a “faggy little princess figure skater” over call then getting screamed at he was speaking with on the phone
-This rich looking guy and some weird dude who won’t speak staring at everyone with their arms crossed and a look that’s screams: “you’re father and I are very disappointed in you.”

Steve x reader on a Christmas date night
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Steve would make you’ve added at-least three layers on before yous left the house to make sure you won’t be cold or catch anything. Steve would hold your hand while yous skated through the ice along with other couples and children. Steve would buy you hot cocoa once both your cheeks became red from the winter cold season. Steve would intertwine his fingers with yours inside his pocket, to keep them warm, as yous walked through the snowy park and neighbour hoods. Steve would gaze with you at the large lighted New York Christmas tree and when it was time to go home, Steve would spoon you in bed, placing small kisses on the top of your hair, making sure you were still warm as both of yous fell asleep together <3
I don't think I've actually been skating in Central Park since I was a kid, but I did wander by a while back and it was fun to watch.
Agnes Tait, Skating in Central Park, 1934. Oil on canvas.
Agnes Tait had long wanted to make a large, festive painting of winter revelers in Central Park, but without a patron she could not take on this project. When the Public Works of Art Project gave her support in the winter of 1933-1934, the artist had her opportunity. As skaters and sledders flocked to the frozen lake and snowy slopes of Central Park, Tait joined them to sketch the winter fun. Then she retreated to her studio to make her painting.
Tait showed the park in late afternoon as the Manhattan sky began to blush and the street lamps to glow, but skating and sledding were still in full swing. Once she had the landscape painted, Tait added figures in groups to create a colorful pattern against the snow and ice. The dark branches of the bare trees make a more subtle design against the white snow and mist and the golden sky. Around the ends of tree branches and in patches along the snowbanks, Tait painted areas of gray into which she drew snow-covered twigs and grasses by scraping away the gray paint with the end of her paintbrush.
EXPORTING WEST COAST/Z-BOY STYLE & TECHNIQUE TO THE EAST COAST.
PIC INFO: Spotlight on the late, great Shogo Kino tearing it up at Cherry Hill Skatepark, New Jersey, c. 1978. 📸: Glen E. Friedman.
"I never considered myself a photographer – I was trying to share images of what I thought was interesting with other people. I realised to get published, I did need to take a step up. I borrowed a 35mm camera from someone and had some good results."
-- GLEN E. FRIEDMAN to Huck Mag on his would-be photographic career outlook at the time
