Hello.

Hi everyone, thanks for stopping by this page and reading my first blog post! This is new and scary for me. By no means am I a good writer. I care too much about what other people think. I overthink. I listen to the ugly voices inside my head that whisper, “Who would care about what I think or what I say?” “You’re not good enough.” So why am I even starting a blog?

I think it started when I was going through some tough life situations with my dad being diagnosed with cancer, dealing and healing from childhood trauma as well as the daily grind of being a mom. I often felt alone in the journey but was too afraid to ask for help or be real with how I really felt. But the more I started to share with friends and even random strangers in my day to day, the more I found that we are more connected than we think and we all have at least ONE or more things we can relate to.

So, somewhere in deep in the wells of my heart a seed of faith was planted and it grew into a plant of courage to start this blog. I felt that if I put myself out there, share the highs and lows and the sometimes ugly-cry moments of life, somewhere out there is another woman experiencing or going through the same thing. I envision this to be a stepping stone for open dialogue, transparency, compassion and connectedness for readers.

We’ll talk about motherhood, our dreams, our career, our vices, marriage, identity, faith and more. I hope to invite women of various walks of life to guest write and share. Man, all this big talk and grandiose (at least to me) vision. I’m a big time dreamer.

I’ll take it one faithful step at a time and see where this goes. If all else fails at least I can say I TRIED! Thanks!
