I Am Still thinking about newsies Japan. Why did they say ‘to my love’ / ‘my beloved’ Santa Fe in the Song????? What the fuck were they putting in the Jack Kelly solo???!????! I Could Write a whole 12 page dissertation on the three lines of song from Santa Fe in newsies Japan. it’s so dastardly.

actually i’m gonna speak on the “versions” of newsies for a min

the only two “versions”. are broadway and 92sies. we do like actually know that right. because those are two different plot lines with different events and entirely different songs.

west end? not a version. it’s a production. it’s new staging and orchestrations which is different for us, and certainly fresh character interpretation, but at the end of the day that’s what it is— interpretation.

so the “livesies and west end are diff versions” (which already doesn’t make sense because then wouldn’t bway and tour be slightly different as well with that argument) is kind of. just. a weird separation in the name of—speaking as a writer here—maybe “keeping the work we already have”. like oh i wrote racer this way but now he’s this way.

guess what! doesn’t matter. it’s a character. there’s no- like no version besides bway script and 92sies script. what you draw character from are the actual words spoken- and yeah, staging will influence you bc if it doesn’t that’s weird, but it’s not a different character. are we. do you get me.

mainly my worry is othering, and personally this fandom cannot afford to do that w/ michael’s jack kelly, because then i’ll become violent and no one wants that :/ a new person playing jack doesn’t make it an other, different jack it just makes it yet another millionth interpretation of jack. yk. like do we get what i’m saying here

what are the top 5 most used apps on your phone?

Oh, hang on, let me check. ... Upon checking, I use KakaoTalk the most. I have to keep in touch with the rest of Crystallis when we're doing separate things! Also, I use it to talk to my family back in Okcheon and in England.  Second of all, YouTube. I check how people have been reacting to our performances, and it’s easy to get sidetracked when there are many interesting videos to watch. Aaaah, I also have MelOn app, so I can listen to music either for choreography ideas or just to get me in the right mood for whatever it is I must do. Instagram is also here, because I love looking at what my favorite designers and artists post as well. Finally... At the risk of judgment, lately, I've been playing Tears of Themis. It's an interesting game where you are a lawyer who solves cases alongside four very attractive men. My gacha luck isn't the greatest though...

what is the most random note in the notes app?

A list of souvenirs I should get in each city or country in the world. When we interact with international fans, I always make it a point to ask this so I know what gifts to bring home for the other members of Crystallis, my family, and my friends. Lately, I've gotten to travel to Paris, Japan, Switzerland, and America, and having that list gave me a good idea of what to get. I make sure to add things to that list, depending on what I discover during the limited free time I have abroad. The latest thing I added was this peanut snack thing in Chiba? Someone please let me know what it's called? It looked so good, and I regret not having time to get that one.

what was the last message or call you’ve received and who was is from?

Aaahh... The last person who texted me was Daeho — sorry! I meant Type Zero's Derek. I'm not sure where he is right now, but apparently he saw a rose which reminded him of me. It was really sweet of him to say that. And no! I didn't blush when he texted that. Okay, fine. Maybe I did.  The rose itself was really beautiful, so I am flattered that it reminded him of me. What's going on between us? I'm afraid that is a secret between Dae—Derek and me for the time being. All I can admit is that he makes me smile a lot. We can gossip about Derek some other time. I promise!

what were the last 5 songs that you’ve listened to?

Lately, I’ve been looking for songs I can choreograph, and the latest one that caught my attention was BoA sunbaenim’s “Fox”. It’s a fun song, and I feel like it would be fun to work on that. And the stylist who went with me to Paris played this a lot, so hearing this takes me back to Couture Week. I have also been listening to Kim Jaehwan sunbaenim’s “I Wouldn’t Look For You.” No, it’s not because I was the love interest in the music video.  I’ve been a fan of Kim Jaehwan sunbaenim since his debut, and even if I didn’t appear in the music video, it would be on my playlist. I’ve also been listening to the Newsies soundtrack, and “Seize the Day” is my favorite song so far. “That That” by Siwoo sunbaenim is also there, for obvious reasons. Of course, our own song “Butterfly.” Please continue giving us lots of love!

Seriously? Do you really want to see how far my cringey-ness can go? Well then, don’t say I didn’t warn you when I say we will both regret this. Obviously, my recent searches were myself, Crystallis fan art, type zero derek, seong byungho newsies, and where to buy leather paint in seoul. I’d rather not talk about the two men in there for now, especially when I’m still supposed to be mad at one of them. But I will explain the fan art and the leather paint. As an ex-DBSD fan artist, I wanted to see what sort of fan art our fans would have made for us. It’s still weird being on the other side of the scale, but our fans are very talented! I almost broke my cover a few times because I wanted to compliment the artists. As for the leather paint, my mom stained one of her expensive leather bags with cheese and kimchi juice, and it’s impossible to remove the stains. So I’m going to paint over the stain once I remove the smell.

[NEWS] Live Spectacle NARUTO: Sato Ryuji has been Cast in the New Live Spectacle NARUTO Stage Play, the "Live Spectacle NARUTO ~Uzumaki Naruto Monogatari~"

A new production for the Live Spectacle NARUTO, the "Live Spectacle NARUTO ~Uzumaki Naruto Monogatari~", has been announced. 

This stage play will continue from where the last stage play, 2017's "Live Spectacle NARUTO ~Akatsuki no Shirabe~" (and the 2019 rerun, the "Live Spectacle NARUTO ~Akatsuki no Shirabe~ 2019") left off.

NOTE: For anyone who is interested in checking out the previous stage plays, the 2016 "Live Spectacle NARUTO" production will be streamed online on August 27, 2021 with English subtitles.

The 2016 stage play covers the first part of the series. For more information about watching the stream, please refer to this link: HERE

[2] Nakao Masaki (Nelke Planning Idol Stage, Musical Touken Ranbu) will be replacing Matsuoka Koudai as Uzumaki Naruto for this stage play. This is likely because Koudai is participating in the "Musical 'NEWSIES'" which is happening during the same time as the stage play.

[3] The "Live Spectacle NARUTO" first started in 2015. It has been 6 years since then, and it is very unlikely for a stage play to run this long without any cast changes due to the changes in the production and the careers of the cast members involved. As an example, Hagio Keishi (who played Hozuki Suigetsu) has since retired from acting.
