@nieceypeace_ ✨#NewYearNewFlow - Monday Day 13 - Akarna Dhanurasana - Archer Pose #PracticeTip as you prepare for Archer Pose, consciously direct the arrow of awareness at yourself. ✨Pose Instructions 1. Begin in Seated Staff Pose. Inhale to bring the arms above the head, then exhale and you bend the right knee placing the right foot in both hands. 2. First hold the knee very close to the chest, then shift the knee to the armpit. 3. Release the left hand, next. Inhale to bring it above the head, stretching up through the crown of the head 4. Exhale as you force both hips into the floor and reach forward towards the left foot, ankle or calf. 5. Breathing normally, find a focal point on the inside of the left leg. 6. Allow your right hip to steadily open out to the right as you pull the foot up and back with your right arm. 7. Exhale to release and repeat on the left side. ✨Pose Benefits: * Increases hip mobility * Strengthens arms and shoulders * Stretches arms and legs * Improves core strength ✨It is advisable to NOT practice this pose if you are experiencing any of the following: * Pregnancy * Menstruation * Shoulder injury * Lumbar disk problems * Hamstring injury ✨Please remember to utilize an adequate Warm Up!
