Can we make-out?: Sure thing. Be advised that Jing Yuan is about lazy, slow, and soft kisses rather than the sudden passion. However, once the passion is brought to life, I can't promise it won't be all bets off. 🤭

A night in or dinner out?: Out! Preferably if it also includes one of those long, long, long walks with street food to be enjoyed from a place where you can watch the busy streets and the people minding their evening business, the gentle lights, just the whole thing of sitting together somewhere and enjoying a simple meal. That's perfect for Jing Yuan. You don't have to go overly fancy with him, just make sure you took lots of pictures of all those interesting critters on the last planet you visited 😔🙏

Whip cream or chocolate syrup?: 😏... well now, do picture Jing Yuan giving one of those soft chuckles of his. He may wish to leave a little bit of an air of mystery here. Where would be the thrill of discovery if all were revealed?

Chocolates and roses?: I am not certain he would do the classic chocolates and roses. But, he will make sure to gift Dan Heng a pack of his favourite tea flavour. To have a little bit of something to mayhaps gently remind him he is always welcomed at the Seat of Divine Foresight. A silent, For as long as I am here, for as long as I breathe, should the universe overwhelm you, should you need me, you can always come to me.

What makes you a good Valentine?: It is true that the nature of his occupation does imply an unpredictable life, therefore, Jing Yuan can't promise he might not need to cut things short and whatnot. But, even for all that, every moment spent together is when his full attention is on Dan Heng, and he tries his best to memorize the little things. Besides, once someone earns a place in his heart, they are there forever. He hopes this shall prove to be sufficient to satisfy the criteria of a proper Valentine.

Would you cook for me?: Sadly, that is not a possibility.

Would you let me cook for you?: If possible, yes. It doesn't have to be anything too elaborate. If it happens, the effort and the thought are greatly, dearly cherished. Might even end up with a tiny moment of holding hands. Hands that have taken their time to care for him. It's a very dear thing. If not, no worries! He knows the best place to get the most delicious street food. He only would like for you to be able to stay a while longer. A moment more. That is more than enough.

Where would you take me on a date?: One of those busy places where it's easy to get lost in the crowd, and it's a lively atmosphere caressed by tender night lights, the smell of spices and food, souvenir shops and whatnot. A long walk through places where Jing Yuan goes when he wished to be alone. Or, if we're not feeling it, simply hang out with him at home. He's more than okay with that, too. There's tea there, possibility of cuddling, all that. Honestly, he prefers the latter rather than the former but he shall not rob Dan Heng the joy of a night out, if that is what he wants. But, knowing them, they'll probably end up in fluffy socks and comfy clothes and share in that tea.

Who’s paying?: Obviously, him. There is no room for discussion or debate here. Everything Dan Heng's heart desires is Jing Yuan's treat!

What did you get me for Valentine’s Day?: Is a place in Jing Yuan's heart okay? Unconditional support in everything? The willingness to break someone in half should they seek to unjustly harm him (I am not over that line of his in Dragons Return Home when he came to help DH and Bailu)? All that to go with the other treats, of course. He hopes this application finds you well.

i’m thinking he discovers one of the kids’ bodies in the suits if I want to differentiate, or i can steal from dsaf & let him catch William (Henry?) in the act. I think either would work well for him tbh.

additional / alternate idea.... he gets caught during fnaf 2 shit. not a manager at that point (some other pg is). catches william using the suit & gets Done For. previous pg gets scrapped after all that shit goes down & steve comes to look over fnaf 1. it like. goes ok for a while & then the location goes into decline but doesnt technically close so he is just Standing There. <3 . he takes over night shift bc he just fucken lives there basically. has some line about how he's less likely to get his head bit in now that it's plastic so this is the best option for everyone.

partially to differentiate from animatronic verses & partially to bring in his fnaf 1 characterization i think he's pretty chill as far as pgs go. like he'll ask you to stop screwing stuff up but he'll also just shrug and leave if you tell him to shut up about it T_T . very difficult to rile up.

i think one benefit of phoneification for him was removing his guilt about jeremy where applicable. i think i am leaning more towards steve being human for that game, and the bite of '87 stuff being a real turning point for him in terms of . everything. (but blue, wouldnt it make more sense for him to die BEFORE the bite? yes. <3 and yet /lh).

i think he & jeremy would have been closer if he hadn't been manager + everything that happened there fucked him up severely. luckily, as a phone, he doesnt feel much about it at all!

post volume 9! neo realized that Obsessing over someone to the point where they are the only reason you have for living and continuing on isn't exactly Normal. she returns from the ever after and she starts sticking to ruby a lot because she's trying to figure out what these feelings are.

ruby is having Confusing Feelings about this. because like...she died. neo wanted her dead. but also it was kind of hot when neo was kneeling above her offering her the tea? and now neo's back and so so so nicies and ruby is like HELP ME!!! IDK WHATS GOIN ON!!!!

they dont really act on their feelings until like post-canon though. and they all survive and ruby turns to neo and neo jumps on her and kisses her because she's so relieved because she really really thought she would lose ruby (again).

They're So Ozlem To Me btw neo would absolutely have attacked the gods if they'd taken ruby from her.

BUT THATS ALL MORE LIKE CANON ALIGNED.

buuuutttt if we're talking about my personal little v9 canon divergence AU they start catching feelings a few months into being stuck in the ever after. ruby realizes she's in love with neo after they have a run in with a plant that causes hallucinations and neo winds up stabbing ruby (thinking she's protecting them from a monster). neo realizes what she's done, drags ruby to safety, bandages her wounds, and sits up tending to her.

BUT the ever after has connected their dreams together and ruby has a dream about neo standing over her with a weapon and ruby tilts her head back so hush is right against her throat and just stares at neo. ("go ahead." her eyes say, soft and sweet. she swallows and hush's tip pushes in a little harder against the delicate skin of her throat.)

and ruby realizes THATS KIND OF WEIRDDDDD and neo is just like. WAUGH WAUGH WAUGH I CANT STAY HERE (runs off into the ever after). she thinks she's ruining ruby and ruby is just like wow i want to makeout with her so bad. and if she stabs me a little i can live with it.

they become REALLY messy and codependent through their two years in the ever after before the manage to get back to remnant (btw time moves differently between the ever after and remnant and while it's 2 years for ruby and neo its only like 6 months for everyone else). and then they're even worse bc everyone keeps trying to separate them and ruby is like UHHHMMMMM she's mine thanks. you cant take her away or i'll start screaming and crying and clawing at the walls :// and i wont help against salem anymore.

they sleep in the same bed neo sleeps curled up in ruby's cloak and ruby refuses to be further than 5 feet from neo at any given time. neo stitches forget-me-nots into the hem of ruby's cloak

if it helps the complete lack of reference to chafaland, even through non canon jokes, has kinda given me the impression that ccroier isn't going to make it canon to his character's story
