I just remembered that I wrote this paper for class my sophomore year of highschool, and figured I’d share it with the world. The paper was analyzing the romantic relationship between Jay Gatsby and Nick Carraway as portrayed in the book and the movie.

random thing i wanted to share, i use to date this guy who was obsessed with the great gatsby )specifically jay gatsby and ld’s portrayal of jg) anyway long story short we broke up cause he was a pos and super biphobic towards me & i was feeling super petty so i texted him this paragraph explaining how gay the great gatsby is and sent him highlighted texts from the book which out of context are super fucking gay and the only thing he responded with was “congratulations you ruined it for me” ctfu

just needed to share that cause i came across some nicksby on my dash and it made me think of you but also my dumb ass ex hahahah ok bye love ya

this is wonderful! he seems like an ass and i’m glad you were able to educate him. nothing in the great gatsby is gay out of context because it is completely gay in context.
