Final Update for now, about the Au.

Okay, finally do a summary of Au, or what am doing now. Also I will edit pin post into master post. By the end of next months maybe. Anyway begin my rant.

It looks like I decided to rewrite Ninjago Dragon Rising, but it turned into more of a dystopian alternate universe. So, the main story might take longer to complete, but I'm working on a lot of one-shot stories for this series that I'll explain later in my posts. Let me tell you all about it for now.

This story takes the idea of merging different realms during the show, but it not only combines the realms, but also changes the world entirely. Now, species from different realms have to work together, which leads many to leave their own home realm and move into others. As a result, many different kingdoms were formed.

This is how the crossroad was made in the series. However, things changed when new monsters or creatures began to appear in open areas like the desert, attacking anyone who is alone. Now, people are scared to be by themselves and even with each other.

Most importantly, when the Ninjago ninja disappeared or vanished, the view on them changed when other realms found out it also happened with them. People started to think that the realm of Ninjago is to blame, mainly their ninja or any element. This is when they found out that many people have been given elements, leading people to distrust anyone with elemental powers.

Some see these elements as blessings, while others think they are cursed. With most of Ninjago's history disappearing, people have started to call these elemental masters the guardians, who are blessed by dragons instead. I'll explain more about these topics in my next post.

I'm going with this AU idea because I want the ninja who reappeared after going missing to have a harder time. Many will distrust them, and they will also find out more about the topic of the guardians and how they are different.

There will be three series that are part of this AU. The main series will be called "The Tears of Dragons." It's the big one that I'm currently working on.

The second series will focus on fluff and angst, mostly about one-shot or mini-series, and it will be called "Shatterfam." It will mainly be about Arin's time with the Wolf Tribes. Also some moment from when he was still with ninja, but these include some fluff or angst moments with Cinder. Also these story might come up in main one maybe.

The final series, which will not come until much later into the main series, is "The Road on Memories." It will have many short stories and backstories about the time before the ninja appeared and about Arin and Sora's younger years after a couple of months after the merge, where everyone is trying to find out together or help each other.

Awhile back, I started writing a dystopian Ninjago au story with Dareth and, later revealed, Ronin as the main characters. I’ve been thinking about it recently and made some “doodles” based on the story. We got Darey-th and Roonon, then I drew Skylor cause she would be a kinda important part of Ronin’s story, then I doodled a character I made up named Evan to be a teen who works for Dareth and is the only person Dareth trusts.

I might rewrite it in the future on @nerdwaifuu-stories after I figure some stuff out and do more art for this

But like, a ninjago dystopia type thing? Where after the overlord and s2, instead of rebuilding better, he shows up back again and takes control from the inside

We're reading the giver for my english class, so that's what's on my mind right now, but there's a lot of dystopian stuff so this could go a lot of directions

but mostly three so I'll explain all the ideas that i have

1. the most accurate to canon: shes a supporter of lord Garmadon. at first, she was one of the few people that liked Lloyd (besides the snf) because of Garmadon being his dad, but she immediately hated him once he was revealed to be the gn and made Garma stop all his villainy and stuff. i dont really use this ver of her mostly bc idk what'd be a good motive for her being a villain?? maybe to match the lighter/goofier tone of tlnm-verse she could be like an evil-ex type character on the surface, but then have some deeper layers underneath?? yeah idk much about this version of her lol

2. i took this one mostly from someone else's au snippets (i forgot who they were but i owe them my life for this headcanon) and its that the SOG is a school gang and Rumi runs it!! yknow that one piece of tlnm art i doodled of her?? this was the version :DD shes mysterious, standoffish, and even a bit creepy, but in actuality shes pretty sweet!! again, dont really know why she'd have a cult following for Garmadon in this, but hey, it gives her a reason to be protective of lloyd!! tldr; local school cryptid girl who might be a witch is very protective of her estranged friend

3. and, last but not least, my 1000% purely self indulgent version of tlnm rumi!!! youre getting an essay for this lol. under the cut because it's VERY LONG. excuse my spelling errors :D

She and lloyd are (adopted) siblings!! her bio parents were nurses on koko's side of the war, getting killed by Garmadons army in the process. Harumi's parents, thinking that they were safe where they were, brought Harumi with them to their designated camp site/zone place. of course, they WERENT safe, but where else were they supposed to leave their daughter??? plus, she was only, like... 1.

After the raid on the camp, when the smoke cleared, only one living being remained; a crying little girl.

Now Lloyd (and yes, i know in tlnm canon koko left with lloyd when he was only a few months old, but this is MY little sandbox and i get to do what i want <3<3. she left with him when he was about 3 here), who was around 2 and a half by now, was currently in Garmadons custody (koko and garma switched custody every week or for plot AND bc that seems like something theyd legitimately do)

When he wandered off from his dad, he stumbled upon her. when garma found him just a few minutes later, playing with this young girl and picking her up like she was family?? he just kinda went 'well sure he can have a sister i guess' and she was just kinda?? adopted??? (your dystopian au rumi 🤝 my tlnm au rumi)

When koko left with lloyd, she TRIED to take harumi with her, but rumi- who only really considered Garmadon and Lloyd as her family- stayed behind with her dad. she doesn't know that he was the root of the cause behind the death of her bio parents (yet)

So, she spends the next few years training under Garmadon, getting stronger, yada yada. fast forward to when she's around 14 and Lloyd's around 16

Its the very first time rumis allowed to go to Ninjago City WITH garma and his generals. she does more damage on her own compared to like. 12 of them combined, so its unsurprising when shes suddenly confronted by a certain green ninja

Now, keep note, these two havent seen eachother in over 10 years. all the memories they have of each other are blurry. of course, they were both in disguises/different outfits (lloyd in his gi, rumi in her S.O.G uniform) so they didn't recognize each other at first. but, after harumis makeup started melting away, and her hair became more frazzled?

Well, lloyd could recognize her from anywhere

He stopped that fight SO FAST. idk if he'd immediately tell her who he is right then and there, but he'd stop fighting her. then, after he got her to listen, he'd pull her to the side and explain everything. including the death of her bio parents, now that she was old enough to understand it

To say Harumi was conflicted was the understatement of the century. Garmadon gave her everything- Literally made her who she is. hes her dad, and she loves him. but could she have been someone- Anyone else if her parents didn't die that day?

Actually, if Lloyd didnt find her, would she have been left to die, too?

the hypothetical conversation back at Garmadon's volcano im imagining in my head for these two rn is heartwrenching (writes that down for my wip folder) BUT it ends in harumi running away. back to the city, back to Lloyd

In all honesty, she doesn't really feel Comfortable or Good Enough to be hanging with lloyd and his friends. (and yes, she knows about the mass bullying on Lloyd, and is a second away from destroying this city herself about it frfr) BUT bc of this, she asks koko (who shes trying to refer to as mom btw) if theres any place she can go. somewhere outside the city, but not too far from the only family she had left

Sadly, Koko didnt have an answer.

But Lloyd did.

And that answer was in a little library right outside of Ninjago City, where the only other family member Harumi hasn't met yet lives :)

tldr, she vibes with morro at his haunted library and visits lloyd every week or so :DD

My take on the Lloyd/Harumi arc (Ninjago s8-s9) (feel free to see this as more of an au idea)

(Because I thought the plot didn’t make too much sense as I detailed here)

Still think it would be interesting if Lloyd thought evil Harumi was hot. No idea how that would possibly work? Like it has the potential to be mega toxic. Or maybe Lloyd was just trying the old “the best way to defeat an enemy is to make them your friend”. Actually I think that would work really well because that did defeat the first son of Garmadon (s1 Lloyd). And it may just justify Harumi’s redemption

I just don’t want Lloyd to be as attached to her as he is in canon because mans really just met her 2 days ago, didn’t really know her, she kissed him like once and then was hung up over her for 3 seasons like man, shouldn’t he be used being betrayed by friends by now (snakes, pythor, his dad, his mum technically, technology, the tournament, the museum guy, the postman). Like this wasn’t anything new

Maybe he was a similar opinion to Nya when first meeting the royal family, that they’re cringe but develops a crush on Harumi when she thanked everyone personally, and instead of being “girl… 😃” he actively tried to deny he had any feelings because he took a look at LITERALLY EVERYONE in this series with their truck loads of relationship drama and went “no no I do not need that noise please omg I don’t need to feel this”. Like it would be funny. He saw a girl and now he’s going ballistic.

Then he kinda ignored it when her parents died because read the room

Harumi: I have a confession

Lloyd: me too! Let’s say it at the same time

Simultaneously: I’m actually the quiet one and I want to resurrect your evil dad // I’m in love with you

PLEASE IT WOULD BE FUNNY

And then she kidnaps him

While she’s walking him to the ritual he’s just *mimicking kai* “just tell her how you feel Lloyd! What’s the worst thing that could happen?”

At some point in s9 they’re alone fighting and while he’s still like “f u, you brought my dad back” she asks him tauntingly, why he liked her and he basically redoes his confession

And that he thinks that there’s genuinely good in her, that despite everything she cares for her found family (the SoG) and she’s just hurting. And that he knows what its like because he relates to her. He once felt backed in a hole, doing anything to make himself bigger. And he knows that deep down, she doesn’t want a dystopian Ninjago. She just wants to feel okay again.

And she’s like “… shut up” but really that’s what she needed to hear.

And that’s what we’re thinking off when she dies.

Also it ties into Lloyd’s arc of “finding his voice”

Also Garmadon doesn’t adopt Harumi. Or at least, he makes it clear that he does not care about her.

Harumi: I’ll be your daughter

Garmadon: if that’s the delusion you want to live, then so be it. But make no mistake, I no longer care for any child of mine

Harumi: …I’ll take it!

Edit: also Harumi didn’t initially want to be Garmadon’s child. She at first just wanted to destroy Ninjago, and took interest in him because she related to his corrupted side. She thought destroying Ninjago would make her feel better and then when it didn’t, that’s when she decided to get Garmadon to be her dad (she’s also getting a little desperate). Then Garmadon kills her lol

Most popular multi-chapter fic: In terms of having an actual plot and being structured like a book? It’d probably be The Water Trials, my still-ongoing Maze Runner AU ATLA fic; it has 12 favs & 13 follows on FF.Net and 3 kudos & 2 subscriptions on AO3. Tallying that up, it’s the most popular. But if we were to look at the term literally, as in having multiple chapters, then my drabble series Too Late takes the cake, with 27 favs & 31 follows. I guess everyone likes the angst 🤷‍♀️

Favorite story you’ve written so far: Definitely my introspective Aang-centric fic the avatar’s fear! This 13.8k oneshot is my pride and joy, what I consider my crowning achievement; I like to say that if there is any fic you want to read from me, this is the fic. I really love it because when I set out to write it, my goal was to portray Aang as this complex, three-dimensional character (and subtly address a lot of the slander that goes around the internet about him), and from the feedback I got from a lot of the comments, I succeeded!

I want to take a moment to acknowledge @thinkingisadangerouspastime (yes, I tagged you twice, but this is important!), because it was her two fics, broken pieces still belong (a Katara-centric fic that focuses on the complexity of her grief and rage) and all i know is gone (but i am not alone) (an Aang-centric fic that focuses on his grief), that served as inspiration and even a guide for me while I was writing “the avatar's fear.” In fact, I even made a reference to “all i know is gone (but i am not alone)” in it:

iii. all I know is gone, but even when I had everything, no one wanted me around… I guess it's just a feeling I need to get used to (they see me as a weapon, but they forget I'm human too)

I highly recommend those two fics to anyone who is a Katara and/or Aang stan!

Anyways, this oneshot was well worth the effort of creating, and I’m so, so happy I was able to do Aang justice!

Fic you were nervous to post: Oh, definitely dragon blood, with several reasons why:

- I spent a total of 2 days on this fic, which is... a lot less than what I usually spend for anything that’s not a drabble. So I was nervous, wondering if I was rushing it, going back and editing it over and over and over again.

- It’s from Suki’s POV. Now, because we don’t see much of Suki in the actual series itself, I didn’t know if I managed to nail down her voice all that well. I was also worried that it focused too much on Aang, so I added in edits that intermingled Suki’s experiences in the war with the present.

I might’ve also been nervous in posting The Water Trials, since it’s a Maze Runner Future Dystopian AU ATLA fic, and I wasn’t sure how many people would actually enjoy something like this. But a surprisingly decent amount of people seem to like it, or even just the concept of it, so I’m happy about that.

How do you choose your titles: Most of the time, I like to look at the main “point” of the fic, the main topic/theme, and make up a title based off of that, but sometimes I make up the title based on the recurring motif in the fic.

Do you outline: Boy, do I! There are rare cases in which I don’t; “dragon blood” is one such rarity*. Otherwise, most of my fics have either a detailed outline or general idea blurb on what to include, how to structure it, etc. For multi-chapter fics, I tend to do a chapter-by-chapter outline, in which I figure out what I want to happen in each chapter (with ideas thrown under the chapters I want to include them in).

*The first draft had an idea blurb on how it would be structured, but it was scrapped entirely, and the final version was written without an outline.

Complete: It would be easier to list the fics I haven’t completed yet: The Water Trials and “Too Late.” I’m not counting my discontinued fics from MCSM and Bakugan (I was going through a weird phase) since I’m no longer in those fandoms.

Do you accept prompts: Sure. In fact, my entire Kataang: Kiss 22 (20) series is based upon @lanjunlazy’s Kiss 22 prompt artwork series (minus the ones that are NSFW); check out her artwork, btw. However, I will have to say that there are certain prompts I will not do if they don’t align with my own belief set, being a Christian. Don’t let that stop you from talking to me, though! Instead of a nice little shipping thing for Valentine’s Day, here’s a little dystopian Ninjago AU I came up after listening to one song and started thinking about a story taking a little inspiration from 1984. This will be an actual story instead of an oneshot which I hope won’t die like all my other stories on here after 2 or 3 chapters :P

Thick smoke danced past the city buildings, the smell reminding everyone the state the city was in. A gray, murky sky hung over their heads, yet no one cared. The smell of smoke was normal; the gray, colorless world was just the way things were now; life just appeared better for everyone, but some knew something was missing.

While everyone has embraced the disaster they call home, Dareth didn't understand why this was the way things were. In the back of his mind, he knew life was different before everything went to chaos, but that was something he repressed in order to fit in. Death was one person he wasn't ready to meet yet.

Fiddling with his keys, Dareth stood at the doors of his bar. Bartender wasn't exactly a job that anyone wanted nowadays; however, Dareth was lucky to even have a job. If you didn't have a job before or at the start of the war, you lost your chance at getting even one penny's worth of earnings.

With a sigh, Dareth could feel the smokey air fill his lungs as he opened the doors. Entering the building, Dareth broke into a coughing fit as he crossed the room to the bar. If he didn't get caught for disloyalty, the smoke was surely going to kill him before The Council got ahold of him.

Once his cough was under control, Dareth went behind the counter to any last minute cleanup before people started to enter for their daily dose of alcohol. During his last minute check, his eye caught a glimpse of something he hadn't seen in a long time. Laying on top of the counter, the brown leather cover seemed to blend in with the surface of the counter.

"What the," he uttered to himself as he picked up the mysterious object. The cream colored pages situated between the leather material urged him to lift up the cover to admire the paper, but his mind persuaded to go against the urge for now; there was other things to attend to. The book could wait until later at his apartment.

The doors of the bar flew open as groups of people spilled into the once empty room. Some were fighting over the lottery, others were discussing their jobs or their unemployment; talk about unemployment usually overpowered talk about jobs. There was no reference of how many were employed before the war, so a majority of the population believed that numbers of employment had risen over the years, yet Dareth had a feeling that it has only rapidly dropped over the years.

As Dareth served drinks to everyone who came up and ordered, the book was the only thing on his mind. Surely it had to belong to someone, but who was that someone? Why was it here? Dareth had no memory of a book being on the counter when he was cleaning up and closing for the previous night. Yet how it got in his possession wasn’t his only concern; what if someone had seen him looking at it? Dareth could at least be thankful that he hasn't been forced to set up the screen, or The Council's spy system, in his bar. Although, he did have a screen in his apartment, so he would need to be careful if he does take the book home. He would try to stay in the bar later to look through the book, but it would be a red flag to those watching through the screen when he avoids his home for hours after he usually gets home.

The day dragged as the only thing on Dareth's mind continued to be the book. The thought of flipping through the cream colored paper to find what was inside made him want to just take it out in the middle of serving and throw away his chances of surviving if an upperclassman or a snitch saw him. Whether if it was because he had a hold of a relic of past that may contain knowledge that goes against The Council or if it was any of content he will be exposed to, Dareth knew his grave will be waiting for him either way.

Finally, at the end of his shift, at the 18th hour, it was finally time. It was finally time to see what was inside the book. So many possibilities of what could be inside ran around Dareth's mind as he casually strolled home, so he didn't look like he was in a rush. The contents of the book could reveal all of Dareth's suspicions, or it could just reveal nothing at all; the book could've belonged to someone who knew the truth, yet it could just easily be a book on how to cook for dummies.

Escaping the smokey aroma outside, Dareth entered the lobby room of his apartment building. The room was stuffed full of civilians either getting home from work or leaving to go attend whatever trials or executions were being held in the city square.

Dareth hid the book under his coat and held it close to his body with the hope that no one would catch a glance of the leather cover. He was too close to home to be caught now, and there was surely a spy of some sort riding along with him in the elevator, and there was also a screen watching everyone's every move.

In the congested elevator, Dareth had a long ride to go before he reached his floor; it didn't help that the people in the elevator had chosen several floors that was beneath his own. Checking the time, he was basically on schedule with his past daily routine. Leave work at the 18th hour, get back home 30 minutes to an hour later; other than him possibly being late because of the elevator, it was just another Monday in Ninjago.

Finally, the ding of the elevator told Dareth it was time to get off. He strolled out of the elevator and into the hallway, his eyes scanning every door until he saw his. He was almost there.

Into his room, Dareth tried to play out his normal routine in front of screen in his apartment after he carefully set the book by the wall next to the doorway, which was fortunately the only place the screen could not see. Walking around the empty, dark room, Dareth put his keys for the bar and his apartment in a safe place, took off his brown coat, grabbed some comfy clothing for later and as a diversion to make the screen believe he was going in the unwatched corner of room to change. It seemed such a weird habit of his to not change in his bathroom or not hide in the corner, but you were being watched almost all the time; the idea of someone watching him change was creepy and unsettling. Sitting in the unwatched corner, he set the pajamas to the side for later and grabbed the book. Keeping the contents a mystery, Dareth studied the cover. There was intricate design of a dragon imprinted into the leather cover, and  hanging onto the cover was a black ballpoint pen, indicating the chance that this book was possibly a journal or a diary. The urge to open the book finally took hold in Dareth's mind and he lifted the front cover slightly, but stopped. An unknown force stopped him; it was telling him to get rid of the book before it was too late. His life was going fine given the living conditions, but opening the book to see what was inside was a death wish. Despite wanting to continue living his life with any trouble, Dareth couldn't take the suspense anymore.

The cover flew open to reveal the first cream colored page. At the top of the page, written neatly in black ink after a bunch of scribbles, there was a message for Dareth.

@peachyninjago since you asked. I have more but this is what's for the green disasters, so far.

ok au revolving around the three green disasters (lloyd, Harumi and Morro) first the setting is a dystopian like in hunted but worse, it's Garmadon's been ruling for uh a while 40-30 years?? Haven't figured it out but the Ninja's parents didn't grow up in it but they did.

Any way so in this au you'll follow Morro, Lloyd and Harumi, Harumi and Lloyd are sibling (Harumi being adopted) and the two adore each other, they're both just two little psycho's who Garmadon has raised (they have some sense of moral but evil like really evil garmadon has raised them) now Garmadon would never hurt his kids... right? Well as of recently his venom has been getting even worse (maybe some of the overlords doing not sure) and he's been getting worse and worse, Lloyd ended up getting really hurt one time and ran off. This led to him meeting Morro and the two well they didn't like each other at first, Morro know's Lloyd's the kid of his sworn enemy but when the two first meet, all he sees is a scared kid.

So he ends up helping lloyd and treating his wound. Then Lloyd goes home as does Morro (he'd run off wanting to fight for once "I can fight Sensei! Let me fight!")

some time passes and the venom's gotten even worse to the point Lloyd and Harumi aren't sure they're even safe in the palace(Garm has a palace fight me) so the two run away and lo and behold they run into Morro, Lloyd's ecstatic! Morro less so, but he hears out the two and their plan to cure the venom in their dad. and...Morro agrees to help them.

His reason is really simple as much as he wants to defeat Garmadon, his Sensei his Father doesn't want to see his brother killed and even though Morro can't understand why his Sensei loves his brother so much he'll respect that.

oh I forgot to mention no green ninja prophecy Wu's been too preoccupied to tell Morro about it and like heck Garm's mentioning it to Lloyd. so they know NOTHING.

So the three end up traveling together trying to figure out how snake venom works (none of them have any idea)
