hate me all you want but I think a lot of folks in the blades fandom are judging the book way too harshly, often straight up hating on every little aspect. Some criticism is valid, and I agree with it, I know the book is not perfect, but book one wasn't perfect either. You're picking each chapter apart and hate on every line because it's not how you imagined it. Well guess what, it's really hard to cater to thousands of readers' demands, and if you don't like what the writers are doing with this book do yourselves a favour and either stop reading or start writing fanfics that cater to all your demands.

Again, I'm not saying I have an issue with constructive criticism—i have an issue with straight up hate that's flooding the main tag.

I don't think I've said it before but despite my absolute adoration for s*n*d*w, I genuinely enjoy just any depictions of Sonic and Shadow that's not just "grrr I hate you an unreasonably high amount". I love when people depict them just getting along in general.

Them having cool down moments where they maybe make fun of each other and quietly bicker about who won their last battle, them just enjoying a carnival or festival and deciding to compete on who can win the most games there, or just smth simple as them just enjoying the same sky together.

And it can be platonic or romantic idrc. Ofc I love the romantic interpretation more noticeably but I just love their more friendly-ish dynamic in general. I'm losing words to describe what I mean but I hope I got my point across.

Haven't quite finished s2 yet. Overall really enjoying it, however not a big fan of the fast burn wesper.

All of their scenes in the book? Gone lol. No pining or emotional moments. No 'just girls?' or really any of their meaningful or iconic scenes from the books. I get that it's a different kind of adaptation and they can't add everything, but some would have been nice.

How come the other couples get their slow burn pining but not them??
