My hair used to just be kinda wavy and frizzy as shit when I was little because the adults around me kept it long but didn’t help me with maintenance, and then I got all the dead/matted stuff chopped off as a preteen and started using actually good haircare stuff, which prompted it to curl a shit ton.

im the exact opposite. i used to be super meticulous about haircare and my hair was mostly pretty straight. and now i havent combed my hair in a million years and its super curly
