In chapter 6, there is a pony that claims to be Carmen’s sister. That was actually a last minute add in while writing the chapter.

You see, when MLP:FIM first aired and pony blogs were exploding like the big bang, before any thought of Carmen Pondiego existed, there was an oc of mine called SugarPop. THAT TUMBLR NO LONGER EXISTS but there is another Sugarpop out there but isnt me. IT IS NOT RELATED TO THIS BLOG. And my SugarPop owned The Sweet Spot candy shop and underground cyber-goth rave club…. And now also a black market establishment behind the club.

Fun facts about SugarPop:

-She’s Carmen’s half sister by blood, but fully committed to the role of whole sister, and that includes full unwavering support in all Carmen’s endeavors, including the illegal ones.

-She is only 5ft tall in anthro form. She smol. But FIESTY.

-She is the one that supplies most of the equipment Carmen requests, of course for a small finders fee from the next heist Carmen goes on.

-She is the only one to really call Carmen “Bella”, not because it means beautiful but its a shortened version of Carmen’s middle name: Isabella.

-She bites. A lot. Like her favorite thing is crunching hard candies. And ice. Literal crunch.

-She was the first in Carmen’s known group to fully put M in his place without snark by using bug spray, or rather the threat of. This is why Carmen always keeps a can of it in her desk in her office.

-SugarPop is only three years younger than Carmen. If you can figure out how old Carmen really is, you’ll figure out SugarPop’s age. Neither will fully say truthfully the exact age, and have been known to “estimate” their ages. Such as “in the 30’s-ish”.

-She was originally the oc to represent the artist but was short-lived as popularity never took off and was left in Carmen’s dust. Again: there used to be a tumblr but it no longer exists.

-Her cutiemark is a skull lollipop.

-Her favorite holiday is Halloween and Nightmare Night.

Hopefully we’ll see more of her in the story, but she is meant to be a side background character, not meant to be in the forefront all the time like the VILE agents and Carmen.

Hiiii now that I’ve posted the guildmaster for my new ocverse I wanna give descriptions of all the guilds along with the main one too, because I had a lot of fun coming up with different sort of niches for each one. There are 8 total ones here, and going with the celestial body naming scheme, each guildmaster is named after a planet (and Pluto). I settled on names and epithets for each guild now so I’m excited to share those too. I’ll put all my little rambling info under the cut, they’re by order of story relevance rather than planet order btw

Nova Stella: The Starlight Guild

The main guild of the story is Nova Stella, the starlight guild, lead by guildmaster Venus. It’s guildhall is a large but welcoming building with dorms built into it, it’s in the middle of a town and naturally open to the public. It has a reputation as a guild that will accept anyone into its family, however that family can also be pretty rowdy and destructive, so it’s reception is lukewarm depending on who you ask. It’s certainly a place where there’s never a dull moment though, with a lot of emphasis being put on love of all kids. Family, and friendship, that’s what defines Nova Stella.

Gladiatorum: The Warrior Guild

Gladiatorum is a relatively new guild that has quickly risen to prominence with their guildmaster, Mars. Gladiatorum is where the best of the best go, the true elite, it’s a guild everyone aspires to. Anyone can join, but if they’re not able to meet the guild standards and incredibly strict regiment of the guildmaster, they’ll be chewed out very quickly. Everything about the guild is meant to be intimidating, it’s hall is a very large building with Greco-Roman architecture built to tower over the rest of it’s town. It’s a guild all about power, strength, and control. 

Pandamonium: The Grimdark Guild

Pandamonium has it’s guildhall sitting imposingly at the top of a cliffside, it’s a tall gothic building that almost looks like some kind of castle. Supposedly it’s guildmaster, Saturn, is the eccentric type with a fair bit of money to throw around. The members themselves are friendlier than what their exterior may lead you to believe, but their aesthetic is still certainly macabre, some more than others. As its name might imply, Pandemonium is all about the chaos, but specifically they’re all about doing whatever the fuck they want and being themselves.

Dragon Tree: The Greenwood Guild

Dragon Tree is odd in a different way. It has a special guildhall that’s built inside of a huge tree in the forest. It’s guildmaster is Uranus, who has very much embraced the cackling witch look, her guild certainly attracts the more weird bunch. Oddballs and free spirits alike are welcome, as is anyone else, if you’re willing to put up with the eccentricity of it all. Their guild puts a special emphasis on nature and healing, and once you get to know everyone you’ll certainly be treated very warmly in their home sweet tree.

Owl Feather: The Philosopher’s Guild

Owl Feather is a guild with a castle-like guildhall with a large library sitting in the center of it’s town, open to the public. It’s composed of scholars and intellectuals, it’s a guild for true erudites. You don’t have to be a genius to join, the pursuit of knowledge is one that should be open to whomever seeks it in whichever way they choose to. It’s guildmaster, Mercury, is a former merchant who in her travels sought to learn, eventually leading her to the guild of the philosopher itself, under the tutelage of the former guildmaster, Minerva. Mercury's goal as the master is to spread the messages of wisdom and philosophy passed down to her.

Lunar Flair: The Artisan’s Guild

Lunar Flair, intentionally spelled that way instead of “Flare” for the pun, is a guild that highlights the importance of expression, it’s hall is big and colorful, it stands out brightly among all the other buildings, as flashy as it’s members are. Naturally it’s a guild filled with artists, all types of artists, from painters to musicians, fashion designers to actors, it’s a place where creativity and passion thrive. It’s Guildmaster is Jupiter, a gentle giant type who kindly looks after all of his guild members and their crafts. Allowing passion to thrive makes the guild stronger, and they all have their respective flairs. 

Cobalt Heart: The Seaside Guild

Cobalt Heart is, as it’s epithet would imply, a guild built by the sea, with docks and ships leading directly into it and everything. It’s not a relaxed happy beachtime though, it’s a tough and athletic guild, all the members are strong and resilient, the guild prides itself on its strength and vigor. Their guildmaster is Neptune, though you wouldn’t be wrong if you wanted to call him their coach instead. They’re a very friendly bunch, and they welcome anyone to join, feel free to improve your body and soul and become stronger together, maybe go on a naval mission while you’re at it.

The Timber Scouts: The Little Guild

Lastly there’s the Timber Scouts, a guild that barely even really counts as a guild. It’s members are all young children and there aren’t even that many of them, it’s tiny. The guildmaster (If you can even call them that) is Pluto, who owns the big cosy cabin in the mountains that functions as their guildhall. Despite being seen as lower than other guilds Pluto does this out of a genuine love for the kids, though they’re a bit of a pushover which makes it easy for the kids to sort of walk all over them. Still the idea behind an “all kids” guild was an important one for them, a place where kids can learn their abilities and how to use them in a guided way.

-ruby’s style is the strongest in the series imo. they designed a butch lesbian and nobody told them ig. my only slight change was giving her cowboy boots cause if shes from “the country” then she should... actually... look like shes from the country. maybe its just cause i grew up in nc but i would love some southern rep from a character where being from the south isnt their whole Personality. anyways i think she should wear western style button downs is all im trying to say

-bella... her style is ALL over the place. since she is a set designer i wanted to make her a theatre kid!!! her style is somewhere in the 40s/50s zone of vintage inspired so that way she has a definite Range of styles and silhouettes to choose from! im a sucker for the new look bc its so Shapes but i could also see her pulling off some long wool circle skirts and peasant top blouses! i also gave her some hearing aids and braces which you can probably only see if you zoom in dhjnf

-poppy got the biggest design overhaul of anyone. i kept the butterfly theme and nothing else fbhdjd. since her music has some definite funk energies i wanted to give her a 70s inspired look with some glam platforms and denim overalls! i think we deserve bellbottom pantsuit poppy. i also changed her hair bc literally the rh main cast all have practically IDENTICAL hair styles save for the direction theyre parted in. i wanted to give her those anime butterfly headphones but toned down slightly hdsjdnd oh and! shes also wearing glasses bc once again we get a whole cast of characters and not one of them is wearing glasses like smh literally like half of all ppl wear glasses?? anyways in terms of personality i wanted to keep her bubbly but instead of just making music thru like Divine Inspiration i think she should take a more realistic and nuanced approach!! show her nerding out abt music theory and talking about the themes her pieces represent and the stories they tell

-sunny’s design is Mostly the same! her hair is slightly changed, i wanted it to match the cover she drew for winnerz! i also made the rainbows on her outfit pride flag colors, and gave her some button pins on her jacket! every Token Anime Kid ive ever met has buttons plastered all over their bags and jackets and its a nice touch that gives her some more Character i feel

-jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaade. jade. i wish she had kept her dark lipstick. and also that she wasnt just billie eilish. and that she was the token goth of the group. her stitched up shirt is inspired by a shirt i wore in high school! it was from the 90s and SUPER beat up to the point where it was literally disintegrating so i just sewed up any new holes that would form with contrasting thread it was a Look. i hc her as wearing contacts bc when she tried wearing glasses she got upset that she couldnt show off her makeup as much gvhbnf! i also gave her a spider necklace bc i think she should still like spiders BUT i HATE the jokes abt “therapy tarantulas” bc only dogs and like 10 horses can actually be service animals and the whole thing w people lying about their untrained dogs/cats (or worse, exotic animals that they should not even own) being service/therapy/emotional support animals just so they can bring them in public is!! Really Bad!! and it hurts people who actually do need service dogs bc untrained dogs are well. untrained and set a bad example for how service animals will actually act! and owners who print out fake certifications also make it harder for disabled ppl bc it leads to store owners thinking that theres some sort of paper they can ask the owner to flash to prove the service dog is trained when that. is not actually true and theres no such thing as an actual certificate for this. if a service dog company offers a certificate/card/whatever to show authority it is specifically for disabled people to do when faced with this issue and has no actual official meaning. and ANOTHER thing that bothers me abt this joke is that.. Therapy For What? it would be really cool to see a canonically mentally ill character as a protagonist for a doll line! it would be fantastic to see them opening up that conversation for neurodivergent kids and their parents! but we have no indication for that at All just haha funy therapy spider :| anyways jade is an nd lesbian my canon now

-skyler is punk now! shes a fashion major and i think it would be a really interesting character to explore, someone who is shy but dresses really flashy and tough! i also changed her theme material from denim to the blue leather she wears at the party bc im biased towards alt fashion. her hair was really fun to design, with a big Cloud of Fluff at the top and long braids underneath bc get it!! its Rain Cloud Shaped :] i dont have much else to say bc this design is def in my Comfort Zone of styles. anyways we stan andershaw here they literally are in love

-vi vi! i didnt change much bc i dooooooont really know that much about influencer/mainstream fashion tbqh... i Did give her That One Halter Top Style that literally 2 other of the main characters are both wearing instead of a loose 1 piece dress tho. i also decided she should be into holographic fabric bc its very Sleek and Future Is Now and Influencercore. i also think the sleek tight fitting holo shirt/skirt is a good contrast to Big Fluffy Fur Jacket. she also has a prosthetic leg idk i just thought it would be a good Touch 

overall rh def has some MAJOR problems with diversity in all aspects and it shows in their fashion design as well! if you put the characters in black and white save for a few patterned pieces they would all be interchangeable and i honestly think that its representative of the larger problem! maybe i do follow the monster high design philosophy that every piece should only make sense on the character its from, but the fact that they cant even diversify FASHION despite it being a Fashion Doll Brand really Says It All.

round 2 - goth condo

so like i sorta planned when i brought her in during the last time i played the gotharios, i ended up moving bella into don lotharios old condo at 150 main street

now most of her stuff i had adjusted already - such as her having a college degree in physics (she graduated with honors!) and her age being pretty much the same as her daughter cassandras

to, like, symbolize that while she used to be severely addicted to the elixir of life, she isnt anymore

thanks to... aliens, i guess? lol

one thing i hadnt done yet was give her a secondary aspiration. which turned out to be fortune. so a combination of romance and fortune, thats interesting. 

she did remodel and decorate the condo pretty heavily - kept wanting more stuff and more expensive stuff, the works, you know how fortune sims are

she also worked as a fuckin golf caddy which is ridiculous but on the other hand i LOVE the idea of her eventually becoming a professional party guest so i let her keep the job. also cos she was broke as fuck after redoing the condo to suit her tastes. this included the pseudo-lichtenstein on her bedroom wall and the fucking andy warhol style huge ass work of her own face times nine

yes i know its more of a strangetown bella in that one but look. its her. its her and she WOULD have it on her wall

anyway she settled in. met a few neighbors who welcomed her, although she had kind of returned already, lived in the pleasant vista complex next to kaylynn and above marisa bendett. but now she was officially back, the familys taken her back in. everyone knows this is her son-in-laws old place, as amorous as it ever was. theres even a telescope on the deck. a farstar, this time. she has nothing to hide and she fears nothing

one of the people in the welcome wagon was one derek cameron, a recent sim state graduate - lilith pleasants lover and - gasp, i know - fiancé

on tuesday night, bella decided to bootycall derek. she ended up taking his virginity and i was just spreading my hands on my side of the screen like what the Fuuuuck

anyway. bella worked on her skills. charisma, mechanical, creativity.

this worked and she was quickly promoted to a gas station attendant (lvl 2), then convenience store clerk (lvl 3), and then record store clerk (lvl 4). after this promotion, she decided she wanted to buy herself a bass guitar. so she did

then she got promoted again and became a party dj (lvl 5), and did such a good job that she was immediately promoted again, becoming a projectionist (lvl 6)

and thanks to a chance card, bellas round ended with her getting Yet Another promotion and becoming a home video editor (lvl 7)

in my game darling walsh is a stud lesbian, and a lot of people make them nb, but there’s no real canon besides appearance (and even then no one’s gonna punish you for changing looks) so it doesn’t matter

sometimes i do see people who’ve lightened darling’s skin in their game which is funny given that they’re already super lightskint but im not angry abt it

at some point during the next century i expect us to stop excusing corporations, like EA, being immoral based on profit because “duh, its a company, thats what they do” or “you don’t have to buy it”

i can’t believe people still see EA selling those rip-off kits for the sims 4 and say “no one is telling you to buy it if you dont like it”. if no one is telling me to buy it and it’s clearly such a ripoff and no one likes it, then why is it being sold?? why are we allowing it? why are we still justifying corporate greed even when it benefits literally no one but the EA CEOs?

“some people cant afford the 40$ packs” first of all, gee, i wonder why, and second of all, so the solution for those people is to throw their hard earned 5$ into the drain in exchange for a handful of useless decorative items??? how is that not insulting in the first place?

next thing i know they be releasing their own coin inside the sims 4, 100 simcoins for only 3.49$. For only 65 simcoins you will be able to buy a lootbox with a slim chance to get a randomized dress for bella goth, or an amazing new recolor for your “my first pet” hamster. This way you’ll have 35 simcoins left in your simwallet so why not buy another 100 simcoins and then two lootboxes? maybe this time youll get the sparkly bella dress!!

actually im sure the only reason this isnt already happening is because mods are easy to download and use in the sims 4 since its a PC game, and only people who have enough brain damage to call themselves “sims 4 completionists” are interested in buying every single pack, but i wouldnt be surprised if they made mods harder to use in the sims 5 which theyre already developing. that one is going to be a hell of a cash grab. the most intelligent thing they could do is actually make it FUN to play, so people have 1 less reason to complain about the game being a total rip off. you know. it’s fun, so it’s fine if im being scammed to play it.

i miss the days when the claim that self-regulating markets were benefitial to society as a whole still seemed like it held a tiny pinch of truth to it. but why be competitive when brainwashing your clients is cheaper?
