Haitani Ran was known as a heartbreaker to those who were acquainted with him or knew of his reputation. This was unsurprising, considering his attractive looks, charisma, and popularity and influence within Roppongi. And yet, despite his rather polite and unassuming smiles, it was apparent that Ran was a dangerous and terrifying man, which was why so many people were understandably shocked when it became known that the two of you were dating.

You were an ordinary university student, though one that had unknowingly managed to charm the infamous Haitani Ran like no other woman had before. You weren’t some feared female gang leader, and you also weren’t a famous model or idol. You were simply a beautiful and intelligent woman that had unexpectedly caught Ran’s attention after expertly shutting down his men’s awful attempts at flirting with you on that fateful summer afternoon. He could still remember your cute sundress and the heat that he had felt as you glared at him and his associates, and it was at that moment that Ran had fallen in love with you.

Rindou, meanwhile, didn’t think that Ran had a chance or that your relationship would even last, knowing his brother’s personality and lack of commitment when it came to women and relationships. However, as time went on, it became clear that Ran was being serious for once in his life, and it didn’t take long before the two of you were a couple. It was obvious to anyone that your boyfriend was completely infatuated with you, which was why he was so confused in regard to his current dilemma. Everyone knew that he was happily taken, as he often annoyingly made this fact known, yet here he was, placed into a scene so very reminiscent of a shoujo manga.

“A-are you Haitani Ran-san?”

It was the weekend, and the streets of Roppongi were busy with crowds of people socializing and walking about. The noisiness and bright neon lights of the many restaurants, nightclubs, and bars gave Roppongi its distinctive nightlife-feel, and Ran was once again looking forward to spending time with you in the place that he lovingly called home. He had hoped to take you to dinner at one of his favourite restaurants before heading to the movie theater and watching a movie with you for the rest of the night, though his plans would have to wait as he blankly stared at the young woman standing across from him.

“Depends. Who’s asking?” Ran replied as he absentmindedly twirled his braid. She was an unfamiliar face, timidly avoiding his eyes with a letter in hand, and Ran couldn’t help but lightly scoff in response to this, already knowing what she was about to say. After all, he and his brother were practically celebrities in Roppongi, so he was familiar with receiving frequent love letters from fans and admirers. Even after the two of you had started dating, the letter would not stop, much to your boyfriend’s total exasperation.

“H-Haitani-san,” the young woman began nervously as she lifted her eyes to shyly meet his gaze. “I-I know this is rather unexpected, but I was wondering if you could accept this letter and-”

“Not interested,” Ran cruelly dismissed with a wave of his hand. “I’m already taken.”

“W-what?”

“I’m already taken,” he repeated with an unimpressed raise of his eyebrow. “I have a girlfriend.”

And it would take less than a second before the young woman quickly realized what Ran was trying to tell her, immediate disdain painting her face as she proceeded to clarify what she had meant by her earlier request. “What? No, I don’t like you or anything. I just wanted to ask if you could give this letter to your girlfriend for me.”

It was now Ran’s turn to be absolutely confused. “You want to confess to my girlfriend?”

“N-no! It’s a letter thanking her for saving me the other day!” the young woman corrected with a flustered snap, soon answering Ran’s curious look with the following story of what happened. “I-I was on my way home from work yesterday when this group of guys approached me and refused to leave me alone. Your girlfriend showed up and saved me, so I wanted to properly thank her with this letter. Those guys had said something about her being Haitani Ran’s girl before running away, s-so I asked around and found you.”

“Oh,” was Ran’s sophisticated response before trying to process everything. However, he soon found himself only able to silently compliment this woman for rightly recognizing your charm and brilliance, so with an eventual nod of his head, Ran wordlessly agreed to her prior request of giving you the letter.

“Thanks,” she said with a sigh of relief, passing over the letter with a low chuckle. “I still can’t believe that you thought I was confessing to you for a second there, Haitani-san.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?” Ran immediately asked, suddenly taken aback by her comment. Was she trying to imply something?

“No offence, but you’re kind of,” she said nothing more as her eyes quickly scanned over Ran with subtle judgement and contempt. “Anyway, thanks again for doing this for me!”

“I-I’ll have you know that she asked me out!” Ran hastily argued as he watched her walk away, but they both knew that he was obviously lying. And so, throwing one last, defeated glare in her direction, Ran turned his attention to the letter in his hand with a sigh. Less than a minute, and he was already regretting his decision of being nice to someone other than you and his brother.

“Ran, is everything okay?” your lovely voice interrupted, surprising your boyfriend as you appeared next to him looking as beautiful as always. Seeing your pretty face, Ran had almost forgotten why he was even annoyed to begin with. Almost.

“I’m fine,” he replied before handing over a meticulously decorated letter. “Here. For you.”

“Who’s this from?” you asked in confusion.

“Your secret admirer,” he said with an indignant huff. “Made me give it to you.”

“I see,” you plainly remarked before opening the letter to read it.

Your lack of an immediate reaction had Ran instantly feeling anxious, not knowing how to respond as he watched you carefully read over the letter in contemplative silence. It was only after he had noticed the subtle smile on your face did he really begin to panic, wanting nothing more in that moment than to know what was written on that piece of paper to make you, his girlfriend, smile so beautifully.

“So, what does it say?” Ran asked casually as he wrapped an arm around your waist in an attempt to glance over your shoulder.

“Don’t worry about it,” you said with a placating kiss to his cheek, closing the letter and securely placing it into your bag before your jealous boyfriend could discern anything that was written. “It was very sweet, though. I wish I could’ve seen her again in person to thank her for the letter. Ran, if you ever see her, tell her that I said thank you.”

Your boyfriend was most certainly not going to be telling that woman any of this, yet he still smiled and nodded in fake agreement and cheerfulness as he began to guide you toward the direction of the restaurant where he had made reservations for dinner. Appreciating your cute, thankful smile, the memories of tonight’s earlier events were soon forgotten as Ran directed his focus and attention toward you and this date. That was until a scary realization made itself known to him. Did he just make a new rival? And for a quick instance, all Ran could think about was how he truly and sincerely hated these damn love letters.

Inui Seishu doesn’t know what love is, he’s 8 years old and he doesn’t care about that at all. His sister says that love is like a hurricane and can change people, but Seishu doesn’t trust her since her main knowledge of love is from shoujo manga and romance novels. He wonders if Akane will change after she falls in love, maybe after that he will trust her.

“Akane-nee if you prove to me that love can change people, then I will believe you.”

She looks at him surprised, then a giggle leaves her rosy lips and her blue eyes shine, ready to prove to him how truthful her theory is.

“Seishu trust your Akane-nee!”

Akane will never fall in love, she will never tell him what love is, he will never see her change after she falls in love and Seishu is beyond sadness. He cries in his new cold room, a room without his sister is too much of a nightmare for him, and he falls asleep with watery eyes and cheeks stained by tears. After her death, Seishu never talks about love again, he doesn’t need it and never will, or he tries to convince himself. 

In front of Akane’s grave after praying for her and leaving her favorite flowers, sunflowers, he makes another bet.

“Akane, I will prove to you that love doesn’t change people, it only worses them.” 

Years passed and now he’s a fully grown adult, Seishu now is 28 years old and still doesn’t know what love is. He never fell in love, his youth spent between gang fights and trying to pass school so that his parents would leave him alone, and the promise he made years ago still fresh in his mind. Seishu still believes in his statement, he saw what love did to the ones near him.

Koko, his trusted partner…He completely changed after Akane’s death, first love of Hajime and became another person, sometimes the blonde wonders where his friend is.

Draken, instead, never stopped believing in love even after Emma’s death and tried to change. Seishu admired him. Then you arrived, with your rosy lips shining (e/c), messing with him and his heart. 

The first time Seishu saw you was when both him and Draken were enjoying their break together. You entered and smiled at the dark-haired man, Seishu turned towards him trying to understand who she was.

“Inupi this is (y/n) the girl I’m dating. I told you that, remember?”

“Nice to meet you Inupi! I’m (y/n).”

Your smile was warm and kind, like Akane’s, and after years something in his heart changed.

Seishu changed after he met you, he began to feel something over his friend’s girlfriend, he couldn’t take you off his mind. You plagued his mind day and night, he imagined if your lips are really soft as they look, or if you would smile at him like you do to Draken, your real boyfriend.

Draken. How can Seishu be so selfish to steal happiness from his friend? He can’t bring himself to know what would happen if his friend discovers his secret. Seishu will do the only thing reasonable to do, suppress his feelings for you and let you make Draken happy even if he has to suffer. He can deal with sadness, he’s used to it. 

The blond smiles seeing you wearing that beautiful wedding dress, Mitsuya did really do a good job to make you shine in that dress. Next to you, Draken, wearing the wedding suit also made by Mitsuya, was shining too. You two were truly the perfect married couple ready to be together in sickness and health. 

In the midst of the crowds, in the shapes in the clouds I don't see nobody but you. In my rose-tinted dreams, wrinkled silk on my sheets I don't see nobody but you - Seishu thinks while smiling sadly at the kiss between you and Draken.

relationship guidelines - this one is a manhwa about these 2 girls who have been friends since they were born !!! myeong in is aloof and rarely shows her emotions and is 'cold hearted' and ji won is cute and quirky and super flirty and overall a dumbass 101, somehow they find themselves kissing eachother and their relationship becomes ........ something they cant seem to understand themselves jsdhdkjh, i rly love this manhwa its so funny and so pretty and the characters r so fun and relatable its so lovely !!!! the pacing is so good too

not so shoujo love story - fellas this one . this one is SO good omfg its the funniest webtoon ever like the humour is just complete crack kldhkjh, its abt a 'delinquent' girl called rei who is in love w her senior (called ...ochinchin ... because... he has a massive chin..) and she rly rly wants ur typical shoujo style romance, only, plot twist the one whos in love w her isnt the cool popular senpai guy (who might be ??an alien??) but the perfect pretty vice president hanna !!!! its SO so cute also super slowburn and SO wholesome , also theres so much tension between hanna and rei i dshjsdhfh, the art style is GORGEOUS and the writing is amazing and i just . its a masterpiece pls read it, altho its hilarious its also ... so gentle and so loving i :')

she is still cute today - a slice of life abt wholesome puppy qi lin who is kinda an outcast and how she befriends a girl called cang shu, someone who prioritises her grades over everything else, to the point she barely has a life. its a story abt how they positively influence eachothers lives for the better and heal with eachother through their simple everyday school life(also mega mega mega slowburn, theyre friends rn but also ... gfs somehow lol)  :) its v funny ad cute and pretty also theres a bonus mlm side couple that r rly funny lol, they have a rly gay friendship group and its SO cute and wholesome 

tamen de gushi - i havent caught up w this in ages rip sdhjdsh but its just a cute slice of life abt 2 girls who befriend eachother and one of them has a HUGEEEEEE crush on the other, v v v v wholesome !!!!

still sick! - oh my god . this one is a masterpiece..... its a manga that revolves around shimizu, this super dorky girl that has a secret hobby of drawing doujinshi of her fave wlw ships lmao, and her work place colleague, maekawa, finds out about her secret hobby and barges into her everyday life and changes it in a way that she'll never expect ! from the synopsis it sounds p average but god the LAYERS this manga has . it deals w burn outs and love for drawings and has such wonderful characterisation and writing and the characters r so vibrant and fun and !!!!! the romance !!!!! they r so so so cute like i genuinely got butterflies at this kssdhkjdsh

soulmate - this manhua is so unique !! so its abt this girl who switches body w her teenage self, so she gets to experience falling in love with her lover all over again whilst her teenage self finds herself, 27 years old, and dating a girl ????!!! it deals with regret and first love and loneliness and dreams and just . i was v cautious abt this one because it could get weird but it was so beautiful and respectful and so .. melancholy and yet cute and joyful... the art is also so pretty !!!

bloom into you - this one’s an anime and its about a girl called yuu who believes she isn’t capable of falling in love even though she always longed to have that feeling, and then she meets her senpai, touko. somehow they get into a relationship where they brush hands and kiss secretly in the student council room after school and know all of eachothers secrets, touko tells her not to fall in love with her and yet yuu... doesn’t even understand her own feelings. ok as for vibes, its just TENDER tender TE n d er and . sad and it will make u so touch starved oh my god. its a very beautiful story and the soundtrack, colours and general vibe of the story is so nice and the characters r so freaking well written u will melt, i rly rly love this anime alot lmao its one of the very few romance anime i really adore, it doesn’t feel cringey at all and all the characters feel so painfully real ? its so good !!!!!!!!!!

that time I was blackmailed by the class’ green tea bitch - ok ok ik the title sounds wack but this is actually one of my faves rn, it’s just the softest cutest high school love story and it’s the perfect amount of funny and adorable and the art is also super cute and the relationship with the mc and her mum is so cute I’m 🥺 also it goes into other topics like academic pressure and loneliness (not too deeply tho) and it’s just a v good read … as of now it’s ongoing and has 17 chapters :)

soba, boba, and things that go on in a konpa || shouto todoroki.

* a/n: firstly, this title was tough to come up with! soba and boba rhymed so well & i couldn't find anything else T_T luckily, konpa is close enough...? now, for vocab explanations! the king's game is like a game of truth or dare, where everyone is assigned a number at random and there's one "king." the king chooses a number and dares the person with that number to do something. kabedon is that classic thing where someone traps aNother person against the wall by caging then between one (or two!) arms. a konpa is a gathering between uni students that usually involves drinking, and a shinkan konpa is specifically for uni freshmen to get to know each other. anyway, i hope you enjoy this! please reblog if you do >< you can find bakugou's version here.

shouto is clueless. you mean that in the most endearing way possible. for someone who gets confessed to every week like it’s a standard procedure, you’d expect him to maybe understand when someone’s in love with him. it’s a bit of an unrealistic expectation.

your best friend since high school, you hadn’t given him as much as a second thought romantically until the two of you entered university. this was an amazing feat in itself, considering shouto was known as your class’ in-resident pretty boy for as long as you’d known him. a semi-drunken king's game at a shinkan konpa led to shouto doing kabedon on you (much to mina's chagrin, as she was trying to get him to kabedon someone else). he was awkward and definitely lacked the aggression that made for kabedon’s appeal in shoujo manga, but shouto makes anything look attractive - even a terrible attempt at kabedon, which, if done badly, is merely cringe-inducing. that’s just who shouto is. 

so, as cliche as it is, the realization of your feelings for shouto started with one mediocre kabedon done on a dare. you can’t even remember much of that night, having been offered one too many drinks by your upperclassmen. (izuku later told you that you’d apparently made a loud speech to your peers in your stupor.) it's only been downhill from there.

izuku, who you originally met at a creative writing workshop in freshman year at uni, urges you to confess to shouto. he’s shouto’s closest friend besides you (and arguably closer to shouto, too). izuku reasons that if you don’t, shouto’s oblivious ass will never know how you feel and by the time you graduate, celeb-on-campus momo yaoyorozu will have confessed and married shouto. it’s one of izuku’s less plausible theories - shouto has no interest in momo - but there is a partial truth in what he says. even if shouto has no interest in momo, he’ll probably date her if she confesses to him. she’s just that sweet and pretty. 

“if you don’t want to talk to him, you could just write him a letter, or something,” izuku suggests while the two of you sit in the campus’ cafeteria. izuku’s laptop sits in front of him while you have a taro bubble tea from a nearby shop. “i think love letters are really romantic.”

you shake your head. “have you seen my handwriting? i’d rather just tell him.” you pause. “but how?”

he tilts his head in thought. “you could buy him cold soba and do it. if you do that, you’ve already won half his heart. he’ll be obligated to say yes.”

“who’ll be obligated to say yes?” speak of the devil. shouto’s approached your table, a bowl of cold soba (obviously) in his hand. 

“where did you get that?” you ask, steering the conversation away and gesturing to his noodles. “i didn’t think they sold that here.”

“they don’t.” shouto shrugs. “this got in my hand somehow. i think lunch rush likes me, or something.”

“of course,” you sigh. he sits down next to you, breaking apart wooden chopsticks. he dips some noodles into a mahogany-colored sauce. 

“i, uh, just remembered!” izuku exclaims suddenly, packing up his things. “i have… something to do!” it’s a really, really bad lie, but shouto buys it. 

“alright. bye, izuku,” shouto says. 

“bye,” you say, shooting izuku a dirty look. you knew his intentions very well. he skips out of your sight, looking far too happy to be leaving his best friends. 

you sip your bubble tea, zoning out on shouto’s soba as you think.

“do you want some?” shouto asks, outstretching some soba dipped in sauce on his chopsticks. they did look really good. who were you to refuse free food?

you accept the offer, eating the soba from shouto’s chopsticks. you look at him, a wide look on your face, and he chuckles.

“thish-” you say as you chew, “thish is really good.” you swallow. “i think i see why you like cold soba so much.”

“um-” you say, looking for something to repay shouto with. “do you want some bubble tea?”

you extend your lavender beverage to him. it’s halfway empty with only a couple tapioca pearls floating at the bottom. 

“no, it’s fine,” he says. “i know you really like the taro flavour.”

“o-okay,” you reply. “let me know if you want any…?” you try to remember when you’d told shouto that taro milk tea was your favorite, but come up empty. you sigh to yourself, deciding to finally take izuku’s advice before the conversation became any more stilted.

“i’ve been meaning to tell you something.” your voice comes out in surprising unison with shouto’s. 

“you first,” shouto says immediately. 

“um,” you say, gnawing on your lower lip. you did not think this ahead. “i, um, was wondering if you wanted… to go out. on a date.” wait, what if he didn’t like dates? “well, i- i just wanted to say i like you. romantically. so we don’t have to go on a date, if you don’t want. i’ll do anything with you, so-”

he puts his hand over yours, effectively shutting you up. “oh,” you say intelligently, gazing at his hand. 

“yeah, that sounds nice,” shouto breathes. “a date.” he turns to you, a questioning look on his face. “soba?”

Thing's that makes me believed that Yameiko should be endgame.

Hello! It's been a long time huh!

First of all, that's my opinion about the digimon series, and it's not my intentions offend anyone. Only thing that i wanted here is just express my opinion and all of us put on a reflection moment about the serie.

It's been a long time that I wanted to talk about this, since that i watched the first Tri  movie, but I felt like I was only person that thought that way and my opinion wouldn't be well accepted.

But i see some Yameiko post's, i rebloged then and when i posted photostos or talk about them, people starting liked, and i felt more confortable in post this, even there's a little people talk about them, and i felt that i need to share this and who knew more people posted more about this ship.

So let's get started!

So I'm going to start with this list, with the times when Yamato saved Meiko's life. That's the part more evident in this ship.

Since i watch first move of digimon tri, there's only thing that kept me whatch all serie, i mean, there was two people that makes me watch the whole serie, Yamato and Meiko.

Why? Beacause the first interaction betwen them it was so intense and effective that it made me wonder if this wasn't something to keep an eye on them, for some possible development in the future.

They were also developing Koumi and, as far as I imagine, the first part it was to introduce us to the story that was being told. This also applies to any story being told.

Anyway! Let's go to the scenes.

The first scene them together, without anyone of the group, it was a scene that yamato saves Meiko, in a moment very vulnerable for her in the first Tri movie.

I don't think Yamato in that moment saved her because she is someone importat to him, but he does because she needed help and we know he have these protect instinct when he’s see someone in danger.

But ask yourself, do you think that other times that his saved her life, it was only for because she was in danger?

For example, the way he screams because he is forced to accept that Meicoomon needs to die, and when he ran to stop Meiko (when she went after the meicrackmon) and wold end up killing herself along with meicoomon, he doesn't think twice before running up to her (as Taichi did and, he only did because Yamato ran after Meiko).

Do you think that there's not something more behind, and what could be?

And if you were Meiko in these situations, do you couldn't feeling something for your savior? ...

I think this may be possible had some feelings for each other in a life-or-death situation. Because it brings good feelings of comfort, safety and protection.

See how in this scene it’s seems like them try to come closer to each other

Or in this scene when Yamato say to her don't apologizes for what happening with Taich and move on.

You didn't find it weird the Meiko’s reaction when she find that Yamato is Takeru’s brother? 

What If she does that expression because she started know more about Yamato, the one who saved her life and, and she felt grateful to him, and the guy who was more close to her until then (Takeru) it was your brother?

See how Takeru be impressed with this?

Probably he getting something behind the Meiko's expression. He knows better than everyone in the group how treat a girl, and how she could feellt and there’s a lot of scenes that could prove that.

And don't you think it's strange the way Yamato gets introspective in this second film?

Okay... We know it's because he and Taich weren't well, but is there the only reason he's a recluse?

Did you see this scene when Meiko talked about Meicoomon to the girls, and said that her digimon never evolved before?

Yamato had his back to her and when she says so, it soon shows him leaving the table where the guys were sitting and Nishijima looking at him with his face that he didn't understand what was going on.

That doesn't seem like nothing important, but why put this part in this scene? There any meaning behind it? 

What if he was introspective and watched her and tried to get to know her better and how would she act with the rest of the group, at the same time he was still mad at Taich?

I think it might be possible because no one knew much about her, and he saved her and of course he'd keep an eye on her after that.

I started thinking that way when I realized how Takeru at the beginning of the second film, he was very attentive to what Meiko was doing, like trying to make her more comfortable with the group, when he saw her talking to Himekawa or when he was asking questions in front of everyone in the group.

(Oh! See this reference that she lived in a city in the city where Yamato and Takeru's grandmother lived). 

It may sound crazy, but what if Yamato and Takeru were suspicious of something and were wondering how Meiko ended up getting into this whole situation?

No one would suspect Takeru's behavior, since he was always a very kind guy and Yamato was always a more observant and reserved guy and both could draw their own conclusions in different ways.  

And I think everyone agrees that Yamato would be able to do this kind of thing, like when he went to meet Himekawa and Nishijima to learn more about the Meicoomon’s investigation.

i know this scene would be less important to defended this ship.

Anyway i still think this scene is very weird don’t you?

Now let's talk about how much he's worried about her and her feelings and always put her in the group as a member.

It’s so cute that scene!!

The second time he saves her, she still wants to run after meicoomon to try to stop her, he stopped her immediately and say don't do it because she could get hurt and Meicoomon would become more unstable.

Okay again it looks like he's protective instincts, but I could believe it if he'd done it a few times. but if you put other times that he done that, it seems something more envolved.

for example see this scene when Meiko comeback to school after days without talk with anyone in the thirth Tri movie?

This scene call’s my attention for only two things:

Did you see the way Yamato talk to her and how Mimi call him?

Tundra (or correct term tsundere) is a Japanese proverb, used to describe someone who hides his good feellings by someone being rude to that person ( as like Yamato did in this scene). Usually this term is used in shoujo mangas or animes to develop a couple.

So ... why put this if there's not meaning behind that?

We know how Yamato it’s a person who hide he’s feelings and can’t get express them. So ... it’s could be possible that Mimi, Taich and Sora say the truth in this scene.

But there’s much more!

This scene is very curious to analyze. For us who were watching, we knew that Takeru wasn't thinking about Meiko in the first place when he said that, but in Patamon who was infected.

But look at that curious, Yamato looks directly at Meiko, thinking that his brother was referring to her, he apologizes and is sad to have been insensitive.

But look what's more curious this, at first Yamato wouldn't bother to defeat the digimons if they were infected, but when it happened and Raguelmon had to be defeated, he had that reaction.

This act for me has more meaning than any words.

Yamato is one of those who scolds Joe for talking like that of The Meicoomon, because he knew how it affected Meiko.

Now let’s talk about the cave scene! ... Meiko’s talk about your insecurites about meicoomon and your friedns try to say her to don’t give up to Meicoomon and don’t close yourself and share with them all your problems and ...

Only people talk to her to comfort and were Taich, Hikari, Sora, Mimi and Yamato, and the Yamato's words, there's more impact than any other said before.

And remember how the trailer made us thought that was Yamato holding Meiko’s hand?  

And it’s not only time that he does that!

This scene is so interesting. Look how mad Yamato seems for not being able to say the right thing for her. He tries so hard to say that she and Meicoomon are not undesirable and felt part of group.

And his not your first time do this.

In this scene Taichi, Yamato and Joe were talking about Meicoomon and Taich doubts whether they would be able to save Meicoomon. Yamato doesn't think twice before saying that both are part of group and leaves the place very mad.

It is curious to see how Taichi did not seem very sure that Meicoomon had salvation, but Yamato was willing to do anything to help because Meiko and Meicoomon were part of the group.

And don't forget Yamato's reaction when he sees Taichi raising Meiko and how he seemed to want to cut that scene quickly by telling them to move on.

  You think this scene he wasn't feeling at all about seeing both together?

These scenes It made me think that this kind of behavior is not typical of someone introspective like Yamato.

And why does he have such an intense feeling if he's met Meiko a couple days ago, is there something more than partner or friends?  

A random curiosity!

Do you realize that in the scene where the digimons recover their memories, Meicoomon appears discreetly in only in Gabumon's and Palmon's memories?

This may sound silly, but if the digimons have a strong connection with their partners, they sure know what's going on in their hearts, and Gabumon knew that saving Meicoomon was important to Yamato, but why?

Did he have any hidden feelings that only Gabumon knew? 

 And last! Did you notice that the boku ni totte song the lyrics fit perfectly with Meiko and everything she went through?

Okay! ... know the song has another meaning, but doesn't that mean she can't have another interpretation either, right?

If you take the lyrics song sung by Yamato's Japanese voice actor. The lyrics speaks of a very vulnerable moment and this person says he wants to be strong enought  to protect someone and Yamato has a very great protective instinct for Meiko as we saw earlier.

In the chorus it says things like "You say good bye!" and “Don’t say goodbye”  At the end of Tri Meiko left everyone for returned to Tottori.

In addition parts of the song the lyrics say how the person who is leaving is irreplaceable for him, and as i said earlier, Yamato always tried to comfort Meiko by saying that she was part of the group.

Now it's coincidence or there's a deep meaning behind?

I'm not trying to say that my opinion is the only truth, only the producers and writers behind of the series can answer that, but with all this evidence, wouldn't that be more than enough not to underestimate them?

I hope see more Yameiko's fans here, even  them not being canon in the future, because i think them deservered a especial attention in the fanbase for your "development" as a possible couple.

My all time favorite anime is definitely Arslan Senki! Besides that, I also love Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Assassination Classroom, Durarara, Hunter x Hunter and pretty much every existing sports anime (Haikyuu, Kuroko no Basuke, Daiya no Ace, Free!, Yowapedal, Yuri on Ice, Prince of Tennis,.. although Haikyuu is my favorite) I enjoy most genres as long as the plot and characters appeal to me.

Yeah! I really love manga and I’ve read tons of shoujo when I was younger (I bingeread every night in middle school tbh) Nowadays though, not so much anymore.. It’s not that I came to hate it, I just don’t have as much time unfortunately-.-’ I do read the new Bnha and Haikyuu chapters on a weekly basis, but I can’t manage more than that. I also read yaoi/shounen-ai manga and doujinshi from time to time, but it’s not as much of an obsession as it was a few years ago. However, I own a couple of manga series (Bnha, Haikyuu, Arslan Senki), which I love to reread in my free time😊

uhuhuhu birds of a feather flock together;))) Of course I can dish out some recommendations, but I’ll start with what I’m watching atm. I started rewatching Daiya no Ace not so long ago (due to the announcement of Season 4) so I sometimes watch a few episodes of that when I find the time. Also, and this is a recommendation as well, there’s this new track and field anime called Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru (Run with the Wind) coming out every Friday and it’s hilarious. If you like sports anime, you should definitely give it a go! The last anime I’m rewatching right now is Sukitte Ii na yo (Say I love you), cause I’ve been in a shoujo mood lately and after several years I still can’t deal with the cuteness of this show. Now for recs.. this is hard, since everyone has a different taste in series, but other than the shows I’ve named in the “Favorite anime” question, I’d recommend Wotakoi (Wotaku ga Koi no Muzukashii). It’s a very sweet anime about the love stories of otakus, so if you like a good laugh and lots of fluff, this show is for you (11eps). Same goes for Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun (12eps + 6 short specials). Shounen-wise I enjoyed for example Noragami, Bleach, Katekyo Hitman Reborn and Magi. Shoujo-wise I can always rewatch Toradora, Kimi ni Todoke and Itazura na Kiss. Sorry for rambling, there are just too many!😅

Your question isn’t weird at all! I’m sorry to hear that you don’t feel well lately and I’m glad my posts are able to cheer you up a bit<3 I, for my part, am a very optimistic person and always try to concentrate on the positive things in my life, but I cannot deny that due to my personal problems I’ve spent many nights sleepless as well. Unfortunately, there’s no recipe for happiness, but here are some things you should always keep in mind should you feel down: Don’t surround yourself with toxic people. Don’t let them in your life and if they already are, either ignore them or cut them off. The latter won’t always work, since the world of adulthood is a cruel place, but try to develop a thick skin and don’t let them abuse the power over you that they don’t actually have. Try to talk with people. I can tell from experience that talking about your problems will almost always make you feel better, or at least lighter afterwards. Think positive. There’s never only black and white, so even if everything seems hopeless or bland, you should never cease to search for the good aspects. An example from me: Uni fucks me up real bad atm. I have six exams and one term paper to write this semester and I’m seriously afraid of failing. I’ve always had insane expectations of myself, because when I was a toddler, my parents found out that I was highly talented and that has been a as much of a curse as it is a blessing throughout my entire life. Whenever something gets too much for me and I end up in a slump, I think about how grateful I am to have so many wonderful friends. I think of all the things I plan to do with the money I earn, such as travelling, buying manga, movies, clothes,.. and even if that might not seem like a trivial matter for some people, I think of all the amazing anime coming out this year: Ice Adolescence, One Punch Man Season 2, Attack on Titan Season 3, Fruits Basket remake, Bnha Season 4, Haikyuu Season 4, Daiya no Ace Season 3.. Why am I naming these? Because they keep me going. They give me something to look forward to. They make me realize that I’m extremely grateful to be alive, because I get to experience these works. I get to discuss my favorite shows with people, who share my interests! I get to scream about Mirio’s bara arms with you guys! If that isn’t something to be cheerful about, I don’t know what is<3

2021 Anime Watch: REMAINDER OF THE YEAR

Here we are; down to the last four months of the year. Make that three actually.

For September, I'm actually not going to be watching anything new or unseen. Instead, this will be a catchup month; taking time to finish other anime titles from the past that hasn't been completely done. Other than the final thoughts posts that have been piling up in my drafts, here are the following few things I want to accomplish:

Ranma 1/2 OVAs (this has been put off for way too long; already watched the anime last year and the movies, but never got to these)

I STILL HAVEN'T WATCHED SAILOR MOON ETERNAL.

It technically is still my 10th anniversary, btw. Recalling 2011 was a weird time, not just because I went to college and dove back into anime, but for discovering an odd anime title I've NEVER heard before that my good buddy BFF was reblogging over in her blog called...Puella Magi Madoka Magica.

It's been a decade. I'm going back and reminiscing on a series that...REALLY OPENED MY EYES TO HOW FAR WRITERS AND ARTISTS ARE WILLING TO GO TO BREAK THE STEREOTYPICAL "mahou shoujo" STIGMA.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but there is a second series??? Magia Record S2 just started, but I will not go there right away until I review the original PMMM series and movies first.

More like, going back to another anime....that had so much passion in their stories. Before Precure was ever conceived, Toei had a successful mahou shoujo series that ran for five years. It celebrated 20 years in 2019, and the 20th anniversary movie did come out last year, but for the sake of its recent milestone, I will revisit what I believe is the most wholesome anime in my opinion.

Y'all think I'm crazy or awkward when I mention:

Yes, I am that desperate to check this out again. I could never get over its charm, innocence, and bold undertones. Heck, I'm excited to actually watch the 20th anniversary movie alongside it.

Now, before I go, I do want to make note that my plans for 2022 in terms of watches may not be as constant (my job makes things hard). What I do know:

Tokyo Mew Mew rewatch will happen as part of the 20th anniversary, but not sure when; although I might sneak in the newer version throughout 2022.

I will do Tropical Rouge! Precure as usual (most likely in March).

Maybe it's because I’m having a bad day, or maybe my distaste for most abrasive Romance genre tropes is showing.  But I did not have good reactions.  If I didn’t get spoiled on how good this series will eventually get, I probably wouldn’t continue.  Gawd I’m impatient for this to get good.

Mafuyu is sweet though.  ^___^

I'm going to watch Given.  After today, I'm too tired and defeated to do anything more ambitious than react to anime. ;_;

And this morning I watched some clips that suggested Mafuyu's tragic past?  I"m really hoping his childhood friend/boyfriend didn't dump him.  They both seemed so nice and in love.  Then again, if his boyfriend died that would also be very sad.  But at least it's not indirectly saying that Mafuyu was worth dumping.  He seems like such a sweet, fragile kid.

"I'm not lonely."  I know it's a cliche now for an anime character to try to convince themselves of this with internal monologue, but it's still effectively sad and still pulls the heart-strings.  ;~;

Uenoyama is too sleepy to eat lunch and his friend asks him to play basketball instead of get bread?  omg

Everyone is sure staring at Uenoyama as he walks by though.  I wonder why.

Jeeze!  I don't know why Uenoyama has to be so upset!  What was Mafuyu doing that was even creepy anyway?  Not talking?  Sure, its more common for an anime character to leave when they've discovered they're in someone else's usual nap/hideout spot, but Mafuyu was nice about making room for Uenoyama.  And now he's throwing a tantrum about getting Mafuyu's hopes up and his naptime interrupted?  Careful or you're going to start hitting my real pet peeves and I'll drop this series.  

He just asked a stranger to teach him now to play guitar...Okay?  Well, that escalated quickly.  ^^;  

Thank you, opening theme.  I feel like I need some music to really set the tone---no, just get into this story/world.  I'm the kind of person who hates that Netflix skips opening/ending themes.

jfc  I know I've had a moderately bad day, but this series is just starting and it hit ANOTHER one of my pet peeves?!  Siblings who are nasty to each other?!  Ug.  If it weren't for all the fandom hype over this show and the nice clips I've seen of it beforehand, I would give up on it right now.  Or maybe I need to stop pausing every few seconds to write and dwell on the bad stuff, and just watch the show.  Ok, I'll try that.  I want to record all my initial thoughts for this series if I end up getting deep into the fandom, but rumination isn't good, after all.  Maybe all the annoying parts will go faster if I don't pause to react to all of them.  

"Now that I think about it, I guess I almost cired when I first broke a string, too, becuase I thought I'd broken my guitar"  Aw, Uenoyama is showing empathy.  (Finally.)  

See?  Mafuyu is reasonable.  He paid Uenoyama back for the strings and everything.

I think watching clips and hearing the fandom chatter before actually watching this series was a mistake.  I've been immune to spoilers for most of my life, but they've been starting to actually hurt my viewing in these past few years.  But it's not like when the shock of character deaths were dulled by knowing beforehand, with Madoka Magica.  This time, it's more like I'm _impatient_ to get to the good parts I saw before.  

So Mafuyu is stalking him now?  Now that I think about it, all those BL manga I used to read were quirky like this, huh?  ...Really???

I should have mentioned this before, but this background music is a little odd. It's like it doesn't quite match the tone of this very solid, real-feeling animation.  

But if he's a total newbie, he won't be able to tell the difference between a "godly performance" and a mediocre one!

This guilt Uenoyama keeps dwelling on is really helping make him a sympathizable character.

I'm glad Mafuyu tired the school's music club and that his reason for returning to Uenoyama's band was that he was much cooler.  I'll buy that reasoning.  

What is this exploision effect?  I know the animation in this series so far looks great, like they threw lots of money at it, but wow...  Was it supposed to look cheesey on purpose?  

Well, this ending theme is soothing and nice.  

But I'm not caught by this series.  So far, the primary couple has proven so be one half too angry, kinda mean, and plain grumpy to me.  And the other half is so sweet and fragile seeming, that I just feel sorry when he gets yelled at.  I feel like Mafuyu is just Uenoyama's punching bag, even if his actions are driving Uenoyama crazy.  Why does he have to over-react?  

After a month or so of being tempted to watch this series, I finally gave in today because I couldn't wait to get to answering the questions of those tragic backstories I saw some clips and spoilers of.  And maybe I'll stick around to get my answers.  But I can't say I like this series in and of itself so far. Mafuyu is sweet and intriguing, but I don't feel attached to Uenoyama so far.  I kind of want to watch something else, or just browse through the AkiRyu fandom instead.  ...In fact, I will do that.  No need to jump into ep2.  

But when I come back to this series, I should react to it like a movie.  Just watch it without stopping, then write whatever still stuck out to me enough to have inherently gotten a reaction out of me, at the end.  I shouldn't just stop every few minutes to write.  

Maybe the thing that bugs me with Given ep1 is that I prefer couples who actually like each other enough to instantly click.  At least get along together.  I abandoned my favorite shoujo manga circle because they kept insisting on this "falling in love with the person who annoys the heroine (the most)" cliche.  I generally tell people that I don't like Romance genre movies because so many of them revolve around couples who confuse friction and adrenaline for "passion" and attachment.  But that never sat well with me. I never liked the "argue/hate someone so much, you don't realize you're in love with them", as my aunt once put it.  Even the couples I like which might be mistaken for that trope actually arne't as abrasive as many filler episodes would caricature them to be: Ranma/Akane, Ichigo/Rukia. Maybe that's why I'd prefer to browse the AkiRyu fandom right now.  They actually enjoy spending time with each other!  From the first time they met!  ...I dunno...  Maybe Given will get very good, very fast, after this first ep.  Lots of BL manga had rough starts but turned into great series of scenes that were emotionally moving to experience, once the initial situation that contrived the couple to get together, is settled.  Why wouldn't Given be the same?  

I probably shouldn't post this reaction to my blog.  Or maybe have no tags, so the fandom won't come after me.  I don't need flames for my flippant venting that will likely change drastically once I get further into the series and find what I liked about those spoiler clips.

OMG THIS SHOW!  Just a few clips, edited, talked over by commentary, and I'm already freaking half-crying!  GODDAMNIT!  ;o;  Carole's dad found her, he and his wife wanted to keep her but the wife died and he was unjustly sent to prison, and now he's still on parole and has to return to prison or his parole restrictions on Earth or something---!  ;O;!!!!!!!!!!!  THIS SHOW---! And Carole takes it as hope and something to look forward to, vs typical cliche drama contrived anger!  This show goes for the heart-felt warmth, instead of the contrived anger drama! ;U;  I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!  

Carole and Tuesday season 1 part 2 doesn't release on Netflix for probably a few more MONTHS.  Maybe it was a mistake to see spoilers.  But I've been seeing songs from season 1 part 2 all this time.  But actual scenes, spoiling the story...I went too far.  Maybe I shouldn't have.  

But only because I want to note my emotional reactions.  Especially when I'm having such trouble getting into Given.  I need to now if Carole & Tuesday were able to grab me from ep1, first intros of the main characters,...Because Given is failing hard on that!  And I want to know if I'm justified in not being as attached to Given, or if I was just having a bad day (I wasted all yesterday on that horrible cooking that even made me physically ill ~___~;!)

I came in from my daily walk and had to immediately watch Carole & Tuesday becasue while I was walking, Mafuyu's song from Given was stuck in my head, even though I didn't even know it well.  I started daydreaming about Tuesday and Mafuyu hanging out, jamming, etc., and I couldn't listen to my podcasts while walking anymore.  I had to switch to Carole & Tuesday.

Re-reading my reactions to watching Carole & Tuesday for the first time, I'm surprised how little I say about their characters (until much later episodes).  I wonder if it means they were so agreeable that I didnt' have to rant anything about them.  Because in contrast to my reactions to watching Given ep1 for the first time, I just kept going on and on about their characters---how mean Uenoyama was.  ...omg...I think I don't like Uenoyama.  I mean, I LOVE Carole, and Tuesday is really sweet and cute, but I never mentioned anything about that in my reactions from earlier this month until like halfway through season1 part1.  In fact, a few minutes ago was the first time I reblogged some Carole & Tuesday art with tags like "#my girls" and "i love them!".  I'd hate to say it, but maybe I only realized how good of characters Carole & Tuesday are, because of how abrasive Uenoyama's introduction has been for me.  I mean, I always thought Carole's brash confidence was cool and Tuesday was sweet, but I guess I was taking it as a given, instead of something extraordinarily rare.  ...I'm trying really hard to get into Given, you guys.  All the clips and spoilers I've seen and the music have been good.  But it's becoming clear to me now that Uenoyama is a barrier.  I used to read a lot of BL and those protagonists do tend to be really quirky or always upset to end up in the plot situation for comedic sakes...But when will the series get to Uenoyama being stupidly in love with Mafuyu so I can laugh at him for being an idiot around him?  I'm impatient over here, especially when I usually drop a series as soon as it centers too much on an abrasive character.  There are 20+ anime series every season and 4 seasons every year, and I've got a big backlog of anime to watch, so I can afford to be picky---I _HAVE TO_ be picky.

I've been really bugged by how I have not enjoyed the first episode of Given.  Maybe I got my expectations too high, after watching it because of so much hype over it, and watching spoiler clips that were really intriguing.  But what really gets me, after having finally seen ep1, is that Uenoyama is not very likable!  Why does Mafuyu even like him?!  Well, Mafuyu is a sweethear and will forgive anything, ti seems...I think the problem is that _I_ as an audience member see no reason to like Uenoyama yet.  Why would I want this jerk to continue getting angry as adorable, frail Mafuyu?  Mafuyu doesn't deserve that!  ;o;  

The really bad thing are the comparisons.  I've been re-watching "Carole and Tuesday" repeatedly this month, and though it's not (blatantly) a romance story, there's just so much reason to want to see these 2 characters always be together.  I love watching them, they enjoy each other's company, they are nice to each other equally,---!  And I just realized that Given's Uenoyama and Mafuyu are similar to Kageyama and Hinata from Haikyuu.  Granted, I didn't really get into the KageHina ship (it just had some cute doujins that I personally thought were too dissimilar to the canon characters for me to think of the ship while I watched Haikyuu), but I LIKED the dynamic between Kageyama and Hinata.  WHY?  All Kageyama did was yell and treat Hinata badly whenever he could!...No...That's not true.  The story made certain from the very beginning to establish Kageyama as a more noble person inside, even though he was just so oblivious to how humans should interact, he only knew how to give commands and yell as a frustrated setter/commander.  Kageyama's first personality-establishing scene was him saving Hinata from bullies and proving that he doesn't approve of low, bully-like behaviors.  And I think pegging Kageyama, from the beginning, as seeking penance and his angsting over his regrets, the the whole first season culminating with him learning how to properly share bonds with people vs bossing them around, and thus finally remedying his past regretted behaviors---It all really turned and angry, easily annoyed character that could have become abrasive, into a character of sympathy.  (Plus, he was cool at what he does.  Which is generally another trait a main character nees to garner audience respect.)  So why couldn't Uenoyama do that from the beginning too?!?!  >O<!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!  It's driving me crazy!  I was supposed to like Given!!!!!!!!!  I _WANT_ to like Given!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  ;O;!!!
