Well, I'm happy, because not only did I remember to check my email just in time, but I also found out today that one of my preorders won't get tariff fees. ^u^!

I misunderstood, thought GSC US needed me to send an email to confirm my info was correct, and I sent the email to their "no-reply" address. Oops.... But it also looks like I don't need to do anything. As long as I don't cancel my order by today, then they're going to send my Nendo wafuku Natsume to me.

Nendoroid Natsume Takashi, traditional clothes version, was actually on my chopping block. I already have the first version Natsume Nendoroid. And though I love wafuku, because of these tariffs, I will need to cancel some preorders. But thankfully, this was not only one of my preorders where the price didn't change after the US announced tariffs, but I also found out today that this order will not get tariffs. So he's still a nice, affordable, $43. And he's one of my favorite characters, so even if I have another Nendoroid of him, I didn't want to cancel him.

I was looking at my current preorders' initial prices and their post-tariff-announcement prices, and I just noticed that almost all the figures which are expected to release in 2025, are the figures without changes to their prices. And all the figures expected to release in 2026, either have an extra $20 price hike, or went from ~$50 to ~$100. So I was wondering if the 2026 releases determined which figures got raised prices. But Nendoroid Suo Hayato went from $51 to $100, and he releases at the end of 2025, but still within 2025. Well, maybe the cut-off point for tariff price hikes is near the end of 2025.

I really hope that the prices can go back to their original. I mean, these tariff situations are indeed constantly changing. And GSC US did say before that it's possible for the tariffs to be lower than expected or non-existent, by the time each figure releases. I just really don't want to have to spend $100 for Nendoroids that should be $50 at the most. I was already upset when Nendoroid Akane Tendo was initially $53, while both Ranma Nendoroids were $39.99 each. If Akane wasn't one of my favorite characters, seeing her go up to $102, after tariff announcements, would have made her a candidate for cancellation. The only reason I'm making exceptions for Suo Hayato and Akane Tendo, is because I love these characters. But because I'm willing to eat these costs, it means that I'll have to cut down on future preorders. I will have to try to get out of the figure collecting hobby (and focus more on figure photography).

Or maybe I'll cancel my preorders for Nendoroid Akane, Nendoroid Suo, and scale figure Dimitri, then try to buy them during sales. GoodSmile's sales are pretty good. Though, the stock isn't very reliable. I NEED Akane as a Nendoroid. Suo and Dimitri...? Pop Up Parade Viktor...? Those prices do make me consider cancelling those preorders.

I'm not too happy about both Ranma Nendoroids changing from $40 to $62. But like Akane, I love these characters, and am more willing to spend for them. Anyways, $62 isn't isn't as bad as $102. Though, $62 is probably still high for a figure that's not going to have too many accessories. I'm not going to be happy about spending $62 twice, for 2 Ranma Nendoroids, when I could have been spending only $40 each.

If Jayce's friendship bracelet says "sprout", i imagine young Cait would act too mature for funny nicknames. But 1 time she gets angry enough at Jayce to call him something that was supposed to be uncomplimentary (like an oaf or a random animal, like a bear or Saint Bernard dog). And he begs her to make that his reciprocal nickname. 🤭
