I'm kinda curious, how would your ocs react if their darling turned out to be a yandere as well?

I think it would be a mixed bag of reactions - some of them would be pleasantly surprised by it, others might be somewhat shocked or confused by it. It might also depend on whether or not their darling was a more aggressive or a softer yandere.

Laura would definitely be one to romanticise it, I think. She’d have the rose coloured glasses on and ignore all the red flags that come with her darling being a yandere. She’d probably just be very pleased that her darling seems as devoted as she is. If her darling were a softer yandere, she’d probably fare okay because she’d be able to match that energy, but if her darling were more aggressive, she might get very confused and scared as to why her darling acts so angry or violent sometimes and she’d be a bit torn by the fact that reality doesn’t measure up to her fantasy.

Noah would adore a darling who was also a yandere, regardless of how aggressive or soft they are. He’d find the idea of being watched in the same way that he watches others exciting and he’d likely be constantly monitoring his own behaviour to act in a way he thinks his darling will like, even when it’s not possible that his darling is watching him. If he caught his darling looking at him or filming him, he’d probably wave hello lmao. He’d melt if a softer darling lauded him with affection and he’d probably gain some masochistic glee from a more aggressive darling degrading him.

Smiley doesn’t really consider themselves to be a yandere, even though they very much are, so their darling being a yandere, while not necessarily a bad thing in their view, would be confusing. They’re devoted to their darling already, so they don’t really get why their darling feels the need to try to find out their identity, make sure they’re not talking to anyone else, and tracking their every move. However, they’d be gleeful that their darling is so attentive and invested in their relationship, and they’d probably send a lot of messages and notes saying how much they love them and assuring that they’re loyal to their darling.

Chase would probably have a very tumultuous relationship with a yandere darling. He might see it as convenient, since he’s a serial killer when he isn’t acting and he can trust a yandere darling not to snitch on him. He might even try to persuade his darling to help him kill as a “date,” and given how much a playboy he is, that’s probably unironically the most romantic thing he ever does. But Chase is, to his core, non-committal and even if his yandere darling is his true love, it won’t be long before his eyes wander, which of course would probably enrage a yandere. I can see Chase and his yandere darling being lovers to enemies, or perhaps stuck in a cycle of a resent filled on-again-off-again relationship. Whatever the case, Chase and his darling are probably going to have a lot of arguments where they threaten to kill each other right before they have make up sex or something lol.

Cayce’s going to be a bit unpredictable as usual. She’d likely call her darling a creep or a weirdo and start bullying them some more if she finds out that her darling is stalking her. But on the other hand, attention is key for her and she’d love the attention that comes with her darling stalking her. She might set up situations specifically to bait her darling, just so she can catch them in the act of stalking her and mildly humiliate them. Of course, the minute anyone else tries to bully her darling for being weird or creepy, she’ll throw hands. If her darling fought or killed someone for her, she’d act as nonchalant as anyone can in such a situation, but she’d definitely be impressed.

Dr. Hart would probably react the most negatively to his darling being a yandere. He likes to be in control, and he knows that he’s probably not strong enough to win a fight if things got physical. That’s why he meticulously micromanages his darling’s health and medication in the first place. He’d probably be even more aggressive with his “treatment” to make sure his yandere darling is extra tired and weakened and that he will always have the upper hand over them should they get violent for any reason. However, he would love the attention of a yandere darling. If a softer yandere made multiple appointments a week or lauded him with gratitude for his tireless work to cure their illness, he’d definitely be pleased that his yandere darling seems so willing to fall into his control.

Professor Moore would likely figure out that his darling was also a yandere quite quickly and while he isn’t as naive as perhaps Laura or Smiley to say that it’s a sign he and his darling are soulmates, he’d definitely still finds it romantic. He’d get bolder with his actions, perhaps writing love letter or poetry to leave on his darling’s desk. Maybe leaving gifts too, or owning up to murders he’s committed for you through anonymous confession letters. If his darling killed for him and sent him a “souvenir,” he’d likely treasure it, and if his darling stalked him, he’d simply pretend not to notice and go about his day as usual, although he’d definitely have a spring in his step.

I don’t think anyone in The Cult would have very strong feelings about their darling being a yandere since they’d all be busy worshipping their darling and they wouldn’t have much chance to show any yandere traits while surrounded by devotees. But I think they might interpret their darling’s yandere tendencies as a “god-like wrath/envy.”

Sorry this ended up being so long, but I wanted to put a lot of thought and detail into how each character would react differently and why they’d act the way they did. I just finished making the Masterlists and while I’m still working on tagging old posts, it’s taking forever because the scrolling on mobile is glitchy 😭 other than that, I’ve had a good day!! I'm bored, and while my bpd is bpding, I'm just gonna- *throws random facts about the plushies and my lazy writing.*

* Dr. Hart gets little rewards for helping darling around, he appreciates them and gets all giddy and happy about it. Noah gets these little rewards too, even if he's mostly just chilling inside of their walls, and only comes out he needs some affection, headpats or food.

* Surprisingly, Laura is the prettiest plushie (totally not biased about this:33), Dr. Hart is second.

* Chase plushie is mostly just a huge crybaby who hates not getting attention. He actually tries his best not to quite literally start bawling when he doesn't get attention, it's like he's going through the five stages of grief when he sobs, poor guy. Cayce is a close second, but she's a pretty tough nut to crack.

* They all eat like little hamsters.

“First ever Time-out.”

Welp, this was, unexpected, really. But they never would've thought that "time-out" actually exists in this household, and of course, it's the troublesome three who got it. The three were just waiting for time to pass by, bored and had nothing else to do except sit in the time-out corner, and watch Noah taunt them, sticking out his tongue and clinging onto you like nothing.

Laura was shattered, feeling really guilty that she made them mad, Chase and Cayce were just glaring at each other, seemingly to blame one another, All that Dr. Hart and Smiley did was watch the entire chaos happen, but then continued minding their own business and doing their own thing.

Not much time has passed, and you just finished doing your chores, it was exhausting, really. You honestly felt bad for Laura that she had to get involved into Chase and Cayce's chaos, you then had an idea, and this may well teach Chase and Cayce a little lesson.

You then went up to them, gave Laura headpats, picked her up, and walked away, all that Chase and Cayce could do was watch Laura get spoiled by you as time passes, while Laura herself felt like she was in heaven,

The two only got even more jealous, mad and sad as they gradually started sulking in the time-out corner, impatiently waiting for time to pass to finally get their attention again.

Aaaaa, I love this so much!!! Everything is adorable, and your characterisation is spot on! Bless, I can imagine Cayce and Chase huffing and puffing in anger as Laura gets allowed out of time out early. Thank you for writing this and sharing it with me!

The facts you wrote are also super cute - I always imagined Laura as having some self esteem/body image issues, so knowing or being told she’s the prettiest would make her so so happy. She’d be clinging to her darling all day. I think Chase is definitely a bit of a secret crybaby as you said, and would get stroppy about Laura and Dr. Hart being prettier than him lol. Cayce absolutely feels the same but is definitely a lot better at keeping it hidden, although I feel like her seeing Noah and Dr. Hart getting rewarded might coax out her crybaby side a bit.

Also I will be thinking about them all eating like hamsters for the rest of the week, that detail is so so so adorable.

Tbh I don’t know much about BPD, but I hope you’re doing good and you’re able to self care, however that may look for you. :]

I love that the choreography left room for each actor to express their character.  Chris moves his hands like Kurt would. Harry turns like Mike would. So that if you watch a different character every time you see a performance of the same song, you'll see it danced in a slightly different way. They're not in perfect unison, and it makes their performances so real!
