There should be a Blanc mystery where he has to investigate a murder on the set of a noir film, and it should feature EXCLUSIVELY Bond costars like Rami Malek, Lashana Lynch, Rachel Weisz, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Javier Bardem, Lea Seydoux, Monica Bellucci, and then a special appearance by Dame Judi Dench.

And then that's how they should announce the new Bond, also.

what are your main inspirations and in what way do you express your personal concept of coquette?

꩜ im a huge vintage girly, i grew up loving old movies and style, so i took a lot of inspiration from movie actresses and their characters, specially from exploitation or avant-garde movies from the 60s and 70s and cool girls that i saw on 90s tv shows, i would say that 50% of my personal style (that covers not only the way i dress, but also decor and lifestyle) stems from that, the other half ot it is influenced by my passion for gothic motifs, music and literature, which includes religious imagery, statues, a darker color palette, flowers (specially those saw on funerals) and the whole haunted aspect, that i like to mix with more delicate and feminine details to resemble a creepy, almost uncanny doll.

꩜ all those things help me to craft my perfect coquette look, that i would put on the coquette noir category. is also very inspired by aspects of my personality, which i consider to be sullen, sardonic and kind of mysterious but also very sweet, i think this goes too well with the mix of edgy with femininity.

what media and people directly influence your look and lifestyle?

꩜ some of my favorite media that inspires me in the way i dress (also some personal philosophy) are movies like la ceremonie, as meninas, marie poupee, daisies, la belle personne, heavenly creatures, ms. 45, trashy europeans erotic films from the 70s and basically every godard movie from the 60s.

꩜ figures like tina aumont, anna karina, isabelle huppert, faye wong, early 90s mariah carey, strawberry switchblade, rachel weisz, sherilyn fenn, sade adu, hope sandoval, lana del rey, ayo edebiri and françoise dorleac also are big icons to me.

finally, list some of your coquette basic staples.

꩜ i consider my basics to be denim, black or tartan miniskirts, thights (specially dark colored or printed with flowers), lace dark tops, chokers, necklaces with pendants, dark shoes such as boots, loafers and mary janes, mini dresses (either floral, tartan or plain black), lots of mascara with 90s lip combo, berry lipstick, nude or slightly dark eyeshadow,and obviously my fringe.

I think one of the reasons Constantine 2005 holds up as a rewatchable film is that it's unashamed of what it is: a comic book film for teens and adults.

It makes no attempt to make itself likeable, no winks at the audience, little to no exposition let alone explanations for the world... In the same way it makes no attempt to be edgy either. Constantine's needle drop is nothing modern, all the jump scares happen in well lit moments, suicide is talked about and shown unflinchingly, if a little too romanticised as post hoc sacrifices and demonised through a catholic belief system for me.

I would have expanded Rachel Weisz's character, she's pretty shallow: no ambiguity about her work as a police officer and little reaction to having been violently possessed. We get about 20 seconds with her when she regains psychic powers - Weisz gives the best she can but it's not enough dialogue and time to convey the multiple ways she reevaluates her life.

This is a movie that has the 'noir' time for showing that Constantine is brooding and lonely, a little bit of that time for our female protag would have been welcome. That's also a waste of a fantastic actress who could have infused more humanity into this film.

The special effects aged well because of the use of miniature sets and good lighting, the colour grading is refreshingly saturated: our characters are monochromatic but there are pops of vivid colour for the mood. This is an early example of neon noir.

Papa Midnight doesn't try and fail to do a haitian accent, Chas isn't given enough space to feel like comic relief even if you get the sense that's what Laboeuf was aiming for. The priest and assistant are given a bit of inner life which sort of makes up for Constantine being quite flat for a man who's supposed to be desperate and angry.

Constantine looks and feels so much better for comparison with similar films that treated the audience like they could be tricked with cleavage, shadows and jokes. I feel like its rating could be quite different if the fantasy/horror/comic book genre hadn't been so misused. It feels fresh next to a dozen monster movies, less one dimensional than classic noir but slightly flatter than a grown up detective story with two full main characters. That's filled by a fantastic cast of supernatural beings with star turns by Tilda Swinton as Gabriel and Peter Swinton as Lucifer for the adrenaline packed final act.

I used to think of Constantine 2005 as Constantine's american cousin but over time, I've grown to appreciate Keanu's Constantine more as a solid incarnation of a Constantine at the end of his rope.

8/10: like Blade, a good dark comic book film that's a fun and thrilling ride.

Seeing as the word CANDIDATE is clearly here, could it be they are at a dance and won dance king/queen and ended up kissing? The leaked dress anyone?

Or maybe they won a type of competition together. . . And bonded past the “just a friend” lines?

There’s so MANY possibilities and context to consider here. . .

And well. . . All I’m saying is:

New Theory Based on Ezra and Keith’s Video

I just saw Keith’s reaction to the clip Ezra showed him, and heard a bit of dialogue. Based on this, I have a theory. *disclaimer* I am a Lukanette shipper, but I am Love Square end game & I adore my precious cinnamon roll Adrien with all my heart. This is just based off what I can hear. I think this may take place in Timetagger. I’m going to post my more absurd theory of my two, based off Keith’s reaction. We hear Marinette say something like, “Alright, enjoy your cookies! See you later!” then we hear a voice, that is certainly not Adrien’s but sounds an awful lot like Luka’s (to which I unfortunately can’t make out). Before he’s finished with his sentence, you can hear Marinette gasp in what sounds like surprise. Then we hear more than one child laughing. This is where Keith’s smile fades, his jaw drops, and his eyes grow wide. He says “Are you ser- Are you serious?! Is this real?!” Theory: This is the current impending future, where Luka and Marinette are married and have a couple of kids. They run the bakery either with or instead of her parents. So a Lukanette future. Which...is interesting considering Adrien and the whole “made for each other” stuff. Something’s clearly gone very wrong. Now, Timetagger is a villain that comes from the future. Why? Why now? What’s Timetagger’s goal that he needed to have come back on this specific day to prevent it? And that would be the day that Marinette and Luka get together. But I think it’s something more than that. Something unusual that was not supposed to happen, may have happened for the circumstances to have been right for it, and for Adrien and Marinette to have never come together later. Something that has to be fixed. Adrien, I think, ended up becoming Timetagger. I don’t know if he’d be an akuma or became a supervillain somehow on his own, but at this point in time based on the clip, I think he’s a plausible option for Timetagger. Adrien’s grown up in circumstances very classically villain. Alone in a massive home with a rich parent, neglected, angry, hurt. A lot of kids in his position would not be as wonderful as he is, more like the opposite of him. But what if he never gets his mom back, Gabriel is outed as Hawk Moth (possibly), whom he despises, and the love of his life chooses to spend her life with another man and starts a family with him? That’s a recipe for Adrien to become a villain, to get what he wants, just like his father.

Happy birthday, Ezra Weisz! Sorry this one is a little late. I tried a sort of different art style for this piece. My first time drawing Ladybug, actually! And I hope you take the grey structure as vague enough to possibly be the Eiffel Tower, haha!
