13. They’ve just been attacked.

John was shaking as he fished out his phone, he didn’t know what else to do and he could hardly see the screen. His glasses had been knocked away and he tried his best to call somebody, anybody, for help.

He was relieved when he heard Dave’s voice. “Dave, Dave,” he managed, gasping a little as he tried to sit up. His chest hurt, but he didn’t think he was bleeding. At least… He was mostly sure. “F-Fuck Dave, I… I was attacked and I was… I was just walking home from… from work and I just… Dave, everything hurts so fucking badly…”

He panted a little, trying to catch his breath. He could hardly think straight but he put as much effort into not crying. If he cried, no one would be able to understand him.

"D-Dave, help."
