a summary of nortrell/mandinha over the first two months of 2022

they go to dubai and spend a month there, with friends (oliver, connor, tom, jakob, savannah, jennie, andrea, etc.)

they celebrate new years together (i am not linking everyone's celebration tiktoks)

lando goes public with luisa, max is one of the first to like the post

they do a lot of golfing in dubai, at various courses, with various combinations of people

max, lando, tom, jakob, etc. go karting at the dubai autodrome with the ln karts. luisa spends the day shopping with sav and jennie

max does his first stream of the year. it's golf, and it's luisa's twitch 'debut'. lando's pissed because there are weirdos in chat and the game isn't going his way. the two of them bicker over clothes

lando posts an instagram story, known to the community as the breakfast for three incident (fun fact! i had literally just woken up, logged into tumblr and experienced my dash in shambles that day it was 'fun')

the incident confirms that the three of them shared a hotel suite in dubai

tom confirms on stream that lando, max and luisa were the only ones from the group to stay in dubai

max does his second stream, another golf one, but this time with lando and aiden (the kid he coached in f4). lando is pissed because the game isn't going his way. (the stream is also conveniently timed so that younger fans (derogatory) miss it because they are in school)

(ok, i didn't document most of dubai) other activites participated in over the trip included padel, minigolf, dune buggying, beach days, jetskiing, ukno, typical dubai holiday activities, and also the dubai 24 hours

they all leave dubai to return to their respective countries

a few days into living in monaco, lando's in the uk for mclaren work

they play some golf

max sets up his pc in his room, and the two of them spend time playing halo (lando from the mtc)

max confirms a stream via social media for the next day.

max also hops on lando's flight that evening to monaco, with the intent to stream from lando's pc

he streams from monaco, but it's from a laptop instead - lando decided he wanted to play halo 5 minutes before max was supposed to go live. he streams from a laptop and his setup is... bad (i am a gamer/computer... person and i hated it), when the technical issues subside, he talks ideas for lando's gaming room with ria, scrolls the qdrnt subreddit and tells lando off for not playing halo (and also occasionaly talking to luisa too)

the three of them go golfing in monaco

lando skips the autosport awards to stay in monaco drinking caprisun with max and luisa

they fly back to the uk together so lando and luisa can attend the brits

lando goes on this morning again, and he's officialy adopted by phil and holly

max streams quite a bit over the week, watching car launches, playing five nights at freddy's and geoguessr, and scrolling twitter and reddit

him and lando go for more golfing before lando leaves for monaco again

lando and luisa spend valentines physically together, max and lando spend valentines virtually together (they have a halo multiplayer date)

(lando's back in the uk the next day anyway)

qdrnt do filming for elgato featuring simulators (or at least lando, aarav, steve and ria do, max is just there)

lando leaves for mclaren's test day in barcelona starting him and max's longest stint apart yet not entirely sure when exactly, but luisa leaves for a shoot in barbados

max streams twitter and tarkov. during the twitter part, he's looking at sunglasses, prompting connor/tom/jakob/lando to comment about a 'misses'

max goes to monaco to set up the gaming room with ria and aarav. he's staying in a hotel but would have otherwise stayed in the apartment

he also has... an exchange with the team l4ndo and qdrnt admins. aarav refers to him as lando's housekeeper

he goes back to the uk for a day before jetting off to barcelona to catch the final day of testing

they both fly to portugal after testing finishes

they spend time with luisa and her friends, and the three of them watch bohemian rhapsody together.

lando and max return to the uk together, max being 20 minutes late for a qdrnt squad stream with aarav and niran. lando's on his bed watching tiktoks instagram reels before disappearing downstairs to stream his hair getting cut. they both yell at each other up and down the stairs. max's mum also appears to change max's bedsheets, but max pulls the streaming card

max is also learning portugese ffrom luisa. the one word he and lando both know definitely is the one for 'kisses'

They're not my muse but I absolutely love their IRL relationship. Probably the ship I read the second most about after Lestappen.

Nortrell - a big no from me. Again, I'm sure Max Fewtrell is a nice guy and a nice friend, but I have zero interest in him. I adore Lando, however. I can't ship asymmetrically - only liking one side. Personally, it just doesn't work at all.

The Nortrell timeline (it's not Mando, Mando is baby yoda's dad):

Max and Lando met 2010 or 2011, they were 11-12 when Max moved back to the UK after living in Singapore for some years. They were on the same kart team (RFM) so presumably spent considerable time together when they were preteens and teens (there are many photos out there of baby Max and Lando and they are very cute).

Lando climbed the junior ladder a lot faster than Max did. We can assume they stayed friends through these years even if they spent less time together due to not racing in the same series.

2020 happens, Lando is happy F1 driver, Max is very sad F3 driver but they stream some COD and it's beautiful. From the surviving clips there was some definite 'we're very close so some will interpret our banter as flirting'.

2021 THE YEAR OF NORTRELL. Max joins Quadrant officially on June 13th, moves in with Lando 'for a few weeks' during the summer (his parents were moving or having their house renovated) and then never leaves. The clothes sharing starts and just goes from 'huh isn't that Lando's hoodie?' to Max making public comments at Lando for stealing his clothes again but then also stealing Lando's clothes back (hoodies seem to be popular for Max whereas Lando is more shirts that are too small and joggers). Quadrant is subtly stoking the fire with tiktok gems such as Niran calling them mum and dad. Lando gatecrashing Max's streams and being a gremlin in the background, Max calling Lando 'my man/my papaya man' and saying he misses Lando when he's gone, whatever was going on with Lando cutting Max's food for him on the boat holiday, golf dates lots of golf dates, Lando doing Max's ironing for him, sharing a stream set up for ages and then having setups next to each other. At least one of their friends (Tom, maybe Jakey too) does seem ship them. Also they did go to Wembley together but we don't talk about Wembley.

Honestly any Quadrant video with them both in is a gem because they cannot stay away from each other and banter/flirt (at this point with the clothes sharing that extends to their shoes it's flirting) is a gem of Nortrell content.

Moves in with Lando 'for a few weeks' during the summer (his parents were moving or having their house renovated) and then never leaves. <- I've literally watched hallmark movies with the same premise lmaoooooo

a summary of nortrell in the second half of 2021

lando gets back from austria, and max moves in around that time

they stream together, huddled behind lando's desk

they watch the football together on a sofa with a laptop

max is literally attatched to lando the day they're at goodwood, bar the hour or so he spends with quadrant/veloce

they have a football match date that evening, it's the finals and they're there in suits, etc etc

max streams from lando's pc, already wearing one of lando's (rhude x mclaren) t-shirts, lando gets out the shower and checks on him in only a bathrobe

he's streaming again and this time he has to open the door for lando because he's locked himself out

lando goes to silverstone for race weekend stuff, max is only there on saturday chilling in the brdc area and with quadrant. he does 'session debrief' streams gushing over lando's performance

it's the british summer heatwave and they get a paddling pool. lando gets max to take thirst traps of him floating in the pool

they go out golfing and that includes lando zooming in on max lying on his side posing on the green for his instagram story

there's another golf occasion where it starts pouring with rain and max is wearing lando's rain jacket while he's soaking wet

lando goes to hungary for the race weekend, max is getting lonely at home

they recieve a box of doughnuts from the neighbors and it turns out that max's lando impression is immaculate

lando gets back from hungary after tyre testing and they do a last stream before heading off to go on holiday. it involves lando appearing mid-ironing and hitting the table everytime someone subbed

connor streams while they're on holiday and him, max and tom quote lando memes at him. max is also half drunk but very soft towards lando

a video is posted of lando cutting max's steak

they come back to the uk and hit the golf course

lando leaves for the race weekend at spa

max goes to shennington for qdrnt filming with steve. they watch the sprint race and max big-ups lando the whole time

the race goes very well for mclaren and lando. max posts an insta story wearing a rhude x mclaren hoodie, captioned "this hoodie's mine now bob, clearly good luck"

lando gets back to the uk

they go to veloce for qdrnt stuff and lando is looking at max with heart eyes the entire time. one of these insta stories was deleted a few minutes after it was posted [x][x]

the who wants to be a milionare vid is released, and lando is shocked that max didn't know his birthday

the two of them have a home photoshoot and filming day, leading to a LOT of content

actual quote "it [the monaco 2018 helmet] has a girl on the back. no men sadly"

max asked lando if he knew max's birthday. he didn't even know the year

max has another qdrnt shoot with the rest of the squad

lando leaves for the race weekend in russia

lando gets pole and posts a selfie to his instagram with the tyre trophy. max comments "That'll do 🧡" then deletes it within two hours. people still get screenshots. he also goes in the qdrnt discord unprompted that evening to shout "POOOOOLLLLLEEEE" and ping everyone. chaos ensures.

the race happens.

lando returns to the uk to spend two whole says on the sim then goes to italy to launch the ln kart

max has qdrnt filming: 'simulating' weather whilst simracing, never have i ever, lots of stuff involving whiteboards, tiktoks etc. most of the content is still unreleased

ria posts a tiktok with the qdrnt members to the audio 'smile if you like dick'. the author will not comment on this.

later that day, tom streams and max reveals that he is still not over the race.

max streams them playing golf when lando's back. it involves lando spanking him with a golf club, them wearing each others' shirts, and max pulling a face when lando says he's 'the man of the house' implying that he isn't

facebook goes down and it's a good time for max to stream. he claims twitch is down and doesn't

max finally sets up his pc

they both stream from the new setup. lando's half asleep. they are both insanely soft with each other

lando flies out to the us for the gp, but a bit earlier for sponsor events

max streams a shit ton because he's lonely. he goes karting with oli and they race 'slicks in the wet' and convinces over a thousand people to keep lando's birthday presents a secret

they attempt to both stream and they break their internet. lando also turned his whole body to look at/smile at max

lando leaves for the triple header, starting in mexico

max streams and brings up that lando has left his ring. he puts it on, tumblr lose their shit this is also the first day he's away

max drives a race car for the first time since he stopped f3

he returns a day before the brazil race weekend begins

qdrnt launch 'the pitwall', i.e. a watchalong. it involves max big-upping lando the whole time

lando returns to the uk and the first thing they do is hit the golf course

lando does some qdrnt filming (it's his last filming of the year) watching max, steve and yashish's yas marina track walk. he agrees with everything max says

they grind halo multiplayer ranked, and max streams. he spends a few minutes at the end trying to convince himself us that the next year will be fine

he streams again the next day, and it's his final stream of 2021. he spends yet another few minutes telling everyone that it's going to be fine. lando appears solely to be a little shit

they go golfing together for the last time in 2021. lando confirms that max got a hole in one

they both go to max's parents house and lando gets a haircut

Hey this is maybee question so feel free to ignore but i am thinking about writing Nortrell fanfiction so i wanted to ge0 more info first. To make things accurate. So what is the information on why Max moved in with Lando?

What are in your opinion important things to know about them?

max moved in with lando cus his family were moving house, but maybe also for independance reasons, to some extent, and also becuase he was in a bit of a bad place after losing his f3 drive and he did say that lando helped him with aspects of that (i think)

other things to keep in mind is things like the fact they've known each other most of their lives, they've travelled together, they've lived together. they have the closest type of friendship possible. lando asked max to join his brand after he started it, then trusted max enough to give him the role of overlooking stuff and the connecting with the fans bit. max is literally lando's right hand man

in terms of things happening, i'd suggest looking and comparing their racing history, what tracks they were at what times, shared tracks, results, things like that

twitchtracker is a useful tool for looking at past streams: it notes down all the streams they've ever done and has a more organised view of the clips from the streams

also going to reccomend my own timelines, existing for july-december of 2021 and january-february 2022 (should be updated every so often, with that tag). they don't have dates, and are only partially cited, but feel free to dm me if you do want any of that

worthy to mention that a lot of their time is dictated by quadrant, so i'm going to reccomend my intro to quadrant post, for stuff relating to it as a brand, and there's a bit about their staff on there too
