How did you come up with Danny?

ive been into canon x oc for a few years now, even more than canon x canon ones (which. isnt rly saying a lot bc ive grown out of shipping in general technically. but thats a different story)

so when i re-entered my td phase in late august, i had topher on the brain and ive never shipped him w anyone so pretty quickly i was like yeah i have to invent a funny little bf for him.

and around a week later i had finalized dannys design! a pretty quick turnaround time for me. everything just kinda fell into place. like ohhh my god a cameraman and an attention hog. one wears teal and the other wears dark red. theyre perfect

his name comes from me hearing it on a podcast as i was thinking abt making this oc and knowing that was the perfect name bc i needed more ocs w normal names. and comparing him to my other ocs was a big part of molding him bc i wanted him to be very different. i love characters who are mean but i realized that none of my own were like that so !!! i had to fix that immediately. i knew off the bat that i at least wanted him to have a loud and expressive personality. for a moment i considered him being ridiculously anxious lmao. but then as i was typing it out, the idea of him wanting to get fired but not being able bc of his contract to dawned on me like the best idea ive ever had in my entire life

his design/story role was inspired by the new intern in tdi2023

very cute!!! other than that i wasnt rly basing him on anything in particular ? other than having absorbed the td style all my life so just. being able to tell what looks fine-ish. yknow? OH and i had him being trans in mind from the jump so i thought itd be interesting for him to have some clear uhhh """standard girl design""" characteristics, to word it poorly (i am transmasc ish). like the pointy fingers and general proportions and stuff

so tldr; hes my first td oc and im keeping up w my enjoyment of creating a love interest for my big fav character, while also using him to explore new concepts i hadnt in the past w my own characters

Hi this is months late i am so so sorry but um. Rambly and in no particular order

Benny. He's like god he's such a cringe little guy but he thinks he's so fucking cool. Literally has some of the best and worst lines in the game. He's just very silly and one of the guys of all time. I want to study him like a bug. He's got like every disease and every single one of them is represented in his dialogue. He will just get silly with it at every opportunity. I can't even get into his character other than he's very silly and honestly very pitiful and i love him a lot

Veronica Santangelo oh my god. She's like ohhh she's so cool. She's this really really smart and strong lady and she's my girl best friend and i love her so much. She's got this one quest where u get her this pretty dress and the voice acting when she gets it is so so 🥺 to me. She's so well written i love her so much. She's gotten me killed 1 billion times as my companion tho (her weapon is a big fist basically and i fight p close combat so it's better to have a guy from far away over anything else but she just ends up getting TOO silly i love her tho)

Dean domino. I love when guys are so fucked up. He's also got the same category as Benny as they just let this man say things. He's one of the best parts of the dead money dlc (which scared me so fucking bad but it was worth it for the everyone 👍) it's been probably a year or so since i played dead money but he's very silly and a really good part of it 👍

HOW COULD I FORGET. My best friend victor. He's a little robot guy and he saves u and he's got a lil cowboy voice and he's everything. He's so swag....

I love the kings which isn't like i guess a single npc but the entire group is fun. You get forced to listen to horrid Elvis impersonations and u get rex who is the king (leader of the kings. It's complicated kinda idk I'm tired 👍)s dog and he's literally so so good and u gotta get him a new brain bc the king literally loves him so much that he wants to do anything for him to stay alive and 👍

ARCADE GANNON. Literally u do not understand he's the guy ever. He's so so smart and so silly and he looks so cute in his glasses and he LOVES when i kill Caesar (i take him with me when I kill the legion when i do 👍 it's enrichment for him i think) he's just like such a good guy and idk i like him a lot i think he's neatso

Cass. God literally women of all fucking time i love her. I don't even have things to say about her but she's so so so cool and i love when women r silly and mean

Ulysses just bc man. He's so so good and idk he's so cryptic and it's SO good. I need to replay lonesome road one day to properly appreciate him but i have v fond memories of him 👍

OH AND. One last robot for the road but if i think Abt ed-e (also from the lonesome road dlc) too long I'll cry and throw up. But literally just a little guy and the way they convey his emotions and story through just beeps. It's so fucking good my god.

already pondering "what if there's even less of a boundary b/w tmc & the larger fund at the end of the season" whether via a choice entirely in taylor's hands, entirely out of it, or in between; and also noting things like "specific winston & tuk moment last episode & next episode's production pics ft. winston standing with tuk & ben in a scene in which taylor & rian are present but also standing separately?" like it probably wouldn't happen but considering at this point, along the lines of how at any given point it would make sense for winston to just walk out (he can leave), that Just Winston could just slide over to the general zone vs being in tmc specifically b/c it's both like, as hard as [rian & winston also hang out outside of work by now] indicates some kind of friendship, it's still never even clear cut / a Non Mixed Bag of rian acting like she doesn't consider him a friend in earnest; And you've got taylor interacting seriously nigh exclusively with rian since 5x08 & sure not having a sidebar with winston where he assures them he'll back them (we can probably assume he will like we & they could always assume winston won't just quit on them, but it'd probably only help to act like you care about it / Don't take him entirely for granted) like idk shrug yeah i support you taylor but you seem to have it covered working w/rian & not especially want or claim to need me around soooo probably neither of you should care if i scoot over here, right.....and who knows if they would lol

u can very obviously see it in my art but they braid each other's hair constantly GVIYAEGV the back of wars' hair is sometimes littered w them—ledge usually braids when he's bored and relaxed—and while legend usually does the one that i always draw pulled back behind his ear himself, wars always does the rest. wars also tends to brush/do legend's hair for him as a gesture of affection, and god knows ledge hates doing it himself so he rly doesn't have a problem w that

^ they both leave the braids in . wars' might look a bit silly w his hairstyle and the ones in the back in particular prolly lie a bit weird since they're so small, but he couldn't care less abt whether it looks silly or not :) he leaves them in and his hair usually gets weirdly curly in the back bc of it. he doesn't mind <3 legend looks fabulous tho . obviously

this one's kinda random but ledge gave wars one of his rings once and wars literally never takes it off. it's his zora ring that lets u breathe underwater, given to wars cuz he knows wars can't swim and ledge likes to give Functional gifts :) but he loves it to death simply bc it's From Legend and he always keeps it close
