@enderfore replied to your post “What do you think of Rook's savanaclaw card? <333”:
Chenya pic where???? I can barely see anything in that room there so much going on, rooks such a lil freak (affectionatr)
he's under the row of flags on Neige's side of the room, next to the big Neige poster with the yellow background (look just to the right of the hand holding the apple)! he's REAL little; once you know he's there you can kind of see him in-game, but I only noticed him in the first place because I took a screenshot and was having fun zooming in on all the details!
I think that's either Hop or Snick and Dominic on either side of Neige, but if the others are meant to be anyone in particular I don't recognize 'em. though I do love all the absolutely terrifying implications of Rook having this. was this some kind of officially-published merchandise (and if so, why) or did Rook like...go hunting through the RSA trash to find this random student lineup just because it included Neige, and has had it hanging proudly on the wall ever since. (I mean, he definitely did do this, I don't know why I'm asking. the real question is why he hasn't cut out little pictures of his own face and stuck them over everyone else's yet.)
there is seriously SO MUCH in this room. how did Rook manage to keep this hidden for three years. also, somebody give this background artist a raise immediately.

not negating anybody's experience i know black sails is outstanding regardless of how or when or how quickly you watch it. but also, as a gay person who watched it in real time, you really had to be there. they introduce anne bonny and you know your pirate history so you KNOW she's a girlliker. she has a moment with max but youre not sure where it's gonna go. because it's 2014. you wait over a year for 2x01 and she and max fucking obliterate you with the sword drop kiss scene. all anybody is talking about in the tags is vaneeleanor. a few weeks later 2.05 drops and flint is not only textually gay and kissing a man but he is waging war on england, on all of civilization for taking away his male lover. you find this out after investing fourteen hours on this show that have spanned over a year and a half in your real life. not to mention the miranda stuff and silver's arc and mr scott and madi and the death march that seasons 3 and 4 feel like when you have no inkling of how it's gonna end. but you stick with it regardless because it's good and besides it's 2014-2017 and the only genre show with gay people in it is fucking... the 100? lol anyway. more gay people flock to black sails between seasons and the tag becomes more about the gay shit than vaneeleanor, thank fucking god, finally. you all dread the last season. you brace yourselves for the worst. you thank the stars this show airs weekly because watching even just two episodes together is too overwhelming. 4.08 airs. you cry. 4.09 airs. you cry. 4.10 airs. your life will never be the same. you cry so hard you catch a fever and have to stay in bed all week to recuperate. you know this was a once in a lifetime experience never to be repeated again but you can't help but hold every other show to this impossible standard.

[ cw: death mention / family death mention / ]
Mhmm I sure love thinking of the reality where we did get more time to really know Karai and her dynamics with the bros. Losing her hit hard in the finale, but it would’ve hit much, much harder had we known Karai longer and really saw her relationships develop with everyone.
I especially would have been interested in her dynamic with Leo, as past iterations often have the two of them clash in ideals and the like while still sharing many characteristics. Two sides of the same coin, and all that. Her specifically being the bros’ Gram-Gram also adds a whole new dynamic as well.
Imagine how interesting it would be, to have Karai start off on Leo’s side for once, showing wholly just how alike the two are at their cores and bonding as family without the worry of betrayal or animosity that other iterations suffer through, only to have Karai die anyway. Their parting hug and the desperate look of horror Leo wears later on would have hit that much harder, I feel.

There's something so, so juicy and tragic about the parallels being drawn here, too.
Raei, the Everlight, knowing what she is and yet still being able, willing to fall in love with a mortal man and bear mortal children; Raei, knowing that one day she will be called to action or else will long outlive her mortal family in spirit, knowing that if nothing else, not even in death will their spirits be reunited. And Liliana Temult, falling for Relvin and having a daughter while feeling the pull and influence of Ruidus, hoping for the singular mercy of Imogen not being born with her curse; Liliana, knowing what she is and feeling a greater calling, leaving her husband and daughter to pursue it and then staying away.
Ayden, the Dawnfather, young but already jaded and battle-hardened, the incarnation of the sun itself, of the harvest and the burn and the golden hour; four classes by age fifteen, unable to pass by starving people without sharing bread but willing to bring low a city of hundreds of thousands to save himself and his family. And Orym, Savior Blade of the Tempest, a soldier so jaded and kind, a soldier who offers comfort to children as he cuts their Vanguard parents to ribbons because after all, this is war; Orym, so full of grief and hope, whose ruthlessness is tempered by his warmth, but only barely, and not for long.
Asha, the Wildmother, nearly feral with grief and longing, scanning for throats to tear out like the predator she is; she is the embodiment of war-torn ground, old-growth forests razed to cinders, a sky filled with ash and an ocean choked with soot, and by the gods, she is hungry — hungry for food, for retribution, for the caring touch of her lover in the sky. And Chetney Pock o'Pea, struggling to contain the wolf inside his skin, liable at any moment to turn those teeth on the flesh of his own friends, plagued by visions of ancient hunger, ancient retribution, ancient love; a lonely predator in human skin.
SILAHA, the Arch-heart, purpose-built to be an agent of Aeor's surveillance state and instead molded into a vessel of beauty and wonder; both fascinated and horrified by the achievements of mortal mages, wanting to preserve it for the sake of beauty itself. And FCG, obsessed with reconciling his existence as both arcane and divine, with coming to terms with being made by mortal hands; mysteriously, inexplicably gifted with a measure of divinity, despite being the epitome of arcane achievement, the magnum opus of Aeor.
And then there is Father Milo, Lord of the Hells, who wants to punish his siblings for their perceived betrayal, for their insolence, for their gall to turn their backs on family in favor of their creations; who lies and deceives and takes the mortal form of a priest of the Dawnfather to trick the devout. And there is Ludinus Da'leth, who has never wanted anything less than to destroy the gods who brought ruin upon his world; who lies and deceives and takes up the mask of a savior, presenting his narrative as one of greater good and lesser evils to trick those wronged by the gods into dying for his crusade.

Food in Venice is heavily seafood dominated, being that the city is man-made islands on the sea with no growing space of their own
Red Lobster was founded in 1968 and thus was already an established chain seafood restaurant in the US in the 70s and 80s
Armand enjoys having secondhand experiences via Daniel and would likely want to re-experience food familiar to him (seafood) served in 'modern' popular styles
Ipso facto, how many times was Daniel subjected to endless shrimp at different Red Lobster locations before the fascination of seeing the exact same restaurant in different places wore off for Armand and how unwell does the mere scent of cocktail sauce now make Daniel feel?
