Location: ATLANTIS Stage Characters: Touri & Shinobu Season: Winter

Touri: The dreamfest system that the student council from two years ago created is often likened to an election.

The unit wins by getting the most votes from the fans watching the performance, in other words, those “eligible to vote”. That’s similar to an election.

But they’re actually only alike on the outside.

My friend Hajime always says this, but idols should perform with everything they have even if there’s only one person cheering for them.

They’re definitely not allowed to leave the stage.

But if you also knew about this “common knowledge”, then I’m sure that’s the reason why you couldn’t drop out of the election despite not wanting to be a part of it.

But you can drop out if you want to, Shinobu. You can drop out of this silly “play-pretend election” game the kids are playing.

Idols might have to face a torrent of criticism if they leave the stage, but with this, you can leave if you say you don’t want to be a part of it.

Shinobu: I…

Can I really leave ~de gozaru?

Touri: That’s what I’m saying.

But if you’re going to, make sure to declare that in the debate, okay? And that all your votes will be given to me.

You should say something like, “I, Shinobu Sengoku, have decided to forfeit from the election and will support Touri Himemiya-kun, who I respect. Please vote for Touri-kun instead.”

I don’t think you actually respect me since I’m so selfish, but make sure to say that in front of everyone, even if it’s a lie.

That’s what I wanted to tell you, or rather, ask of you.

It’s highly possible that the votes will go to Z. K. Amano Hashidate unless you say those words yourself and encourage the other students to vote for me.

It looks like everyone hates me… I think they might vote for the others, thinking it’s way better than voting for me.

I won’t lose. I’ll definitely win. Just like I said, the election is only similar to dreamfests on the outside.

two au's i really wanna write and have vaguely fleshed out, both for enstars, is

1) EnKingdom AU

Despite nothing happening when he pinched himself, Mao was still willing to believe this was all just some weird dream. Just a weird dream influenced by him and Makoto talking about manga trends, and the rest of Trickstar making up a scenario based on them. Soon, Mao would wake up, back in his dorm, with his clothes, and his name, not staring at some historical fantasy version of his worst nightmare. Right?

the Kingdom of Estella is governed by four Duchys after the King went into seclusion following a scandal that shook the nation and affected all levels of nobility, and is in an unstable peace after the bloody purge.

with the next social season rapidly apporaching, change is just around the bend, and not just for the soon-to-be-debuts. with rumours of spirits and curses, a foreign diplomat and their entourage, and people who look the same but act different, the newly isekai'd isara just wants this all to be over so he can return to his idol life.

that's right, it's a villainess isekai starring mao! but with probably less focus on romance cause im bad at that lol. would also contain side stories about other characters who are less involved with the main story.

The grounds of Yumenosaki are haunted, by the past, and by the ghosts who could not rest. Deep within the forest on the grounds stands a cenotaph that acts as a medium through which the dead can haunt the living, and through which the power of Summons is gained.

so this started out as a mirage sessions au, but then the names started sounding like jojo stands, which was like the opposite of what i wanted, and then i couldn't decided who i wanted specifically to have mirages or if they were gonna be unit mirages, which made me think about the kings from k project, and then i started thinking to incorporate the endless vide gundam april fools-

it's been a journey for this one. so Summons are, giant summons. once a unit passes the test imposed, they gain the approval of a summon who will then be their ally and can participate in Unit Battles, which is a special type of DreFes.

summons also give their units a power dependant on their theme and personality. for example, O Lady of War enables Shu & Mika to create marionette strings, but while Shu's are better at maneuvering others, Mika's allow him to contort his body past normal human limits.

the summons themselves also have two, arguably three, forms. the first is a more human sized form, which is only when they summon themselves to interact, like a pokemone releasing itself from the pokeball. then you have their Unit Battle forms, which range from between 3m to 5m in recorded height, and an alternate Unit Battle form known as their True Form, which are just a bit more inhuman and brutal, and all the cooler for it

Shinobu: …………

Touri: …………

Shinobu: (...T–This is so awkward ~de gozaru! Touri-kun was the one who said there was something he needed to tell me, but it doesn’t look like he’s willing to talk at all!)

(I know I should be thoughtful here, but I don’t know what Touri-kun wants to talk about, so I don’t even know how I should start the conversation!)

(I’m a ninja with weak communication skills…!)

Touri: Shinobu.

Shinobu: Eeek!? W–W–W–What is it, Touri-kun!? Ah, I’m sorry for stammering! It must be gross, right!?

Touri: Um, you know…

Shinobu: I–I don’t know what to do if you go quiet on me ~de gozaru… Um, what did you want to talk about?

Just speak your mind. I promise I won’t get angry or laugh at what you say, okay?

“RYUUSEITAI” are always on the side of children! “That” won’t change no matter what!

Touri: Who… are you… calling… a child~!?

Shinobu: Eeek! Don’t push down on my hair swirl! I heard pushing down on it will hinder growth! Well, I suppose being small would be more advantageous for a ninja!

Touri: Hmm. You’re similar to me in that department, then.

Everyone tries to be nice and says I should be an adult, otherwise I’ll miss out on life.

But if possible, I’d like to stay in Neverland for a little bit longer.

No. I wanna stay in a peaceful paradise at the bottom of the sea – just like in The Little Mermaid.

But I can’t change or grow if I don’t muster my courage to step outside the ocean, right?

Shinobu: ………?

Touri: Shinobu. There’s no point in me staying quiet, so I’ll tell you.

Don’t laugh, okay? I can’t take back the words I say once I’ve said them, alright?

Shinobu: O–Okay ~de gozaru! I don’t really understand but just tell me!

Touri: You’re a good kid. And that’s probably why everyone likes you.

Good for you. There are a lot of people around you who can see how good-natured you are.

Shinobu: So you just wanted to be sarcastic with me?

Touri: No. This is what I wanted to say…

Shinobu. I’ll swallow my pride and lower my head to ask you this.

Please give me all your votes.

Shinobu: Huh…?

Touri: Shinobu, you don’t want to be the student council president, right?

It was the people around you who put you in that spot, and you were in too deep to back out. You’re having a tough time with the election because it’s not something you wanted to be in, right?

If that’s the case, then I’ll shoulder that burden for you.

No. It’s nothing as nice as it sounds… I need your votes so that I can defeat Z. K. Amano Hashidate, the fake messiah  who intends on doing nothing if she becomes the student council president.

Shinobu, if we combine our votes, then we can go against Amano Hashidate who’s in first place.

Shinobu: T–That’s true, logically speaking.

Touri: What do you say? Yes or no?

Shinobu: I’d love to but I feel bad for the people who recommend me and are supporting me…

Each and every person has a limit to what they can do ~de gozaru. Mine is already full and to be honest, I think being a member of the student council is already too much for me.

I’d like to give all you all my votes if I could.

Touri: You don’t want to follow in your beloved Isara-senpai’s footsteps or anything like that?

Shinobu: Nope. Isara-dono is always supporting me through the things I want to do and being the person I want to be.

That’s why I love him to bits.

Touri: Aha. That’s the best expression you’ve made today.

Then that’s fine. Shinobu, you don’t want to be student council president while I want to gain “that” position no matter what…

If you give me your votes, then both sides will be happy, right?

Shinobu: But… can we do that ~de gozaru?

Touri: We can. Z. K. Amano Hashidate already did something similar, anyway.

She took all of the votes from the other candidates in the “producer course”.

It’s normal to get all the votes focused on one individual by getting the other candidates to drop out, so that they don’t fight amongst “themselves” for the little votes they can get, right?

It’s not common in Japan, but it’s normal in other country’s elections.

And Yumenosaki’s student council president election is similar to the elections that are held in powerful countries.

It feels like we’re selecting a leader of a vassal state all because ES is trying to control everything like some idiot.

Shinobu: But…

Touri: I understand why you feel reluctant. I’m sure it’s a concern the other courses– no, people who aren’t Yumenosaki idols won’t understand.

If anything, I think it’s weird that you didn’t drop out immediately in the beginning.

You’re not trying to hide the fact that you don’t want to be student council president and that it wasn’t your intention to run for the position.

Shinobu. You’re good-natured and a bit of an idiot… It looks like you’ve got the wrong idea, so I’ll give it to you straight.

The student council president election is different from performing on stage at a dreamfest.

Shinobu: ………!
