Chuck [to Cas]: You know what every other version of you did after "gripping him tight and raising him from Perdition?" They did what they were told. But not you. Not the "one off the line with a crack in his chassis."

a) This does not preclude Cas being in love with Dean in all those other universes. (It does maybe imply some things about how far he would go to act on/sublimate it.)

b) This does not say anything at all about Dean not being in love with Cas.

There's reason to believe that at least 2 au Cas versions have some level of feeling foe Dean. Endverse!Cas "he's not going anywhere" and "that's just how I roll" has been discussed inore detail and eloquence in many other posts. MoC!Cas from the Sam visions on 15x09 must've had some connection with Dean (and Sam) to have stuck it out with the Winchesters for so long and have gotten through the (presumed similar) apocalypses with them.

Dean also, in those same aus seems to have some connection to Cas. Endverse!Dean has also been discussed elsewhere and can be interpreted to at the very least care for Cas as a brother, all the way up to being in love with Cas and having a hard time dealing with the loss of Sam and keeping everyone alive, all while watching Cas fall, the experience turning him bitter and needing to present a tough front. NotFuture!Dean, in an argument with NotFuture!Sam, parallels his loss of Cas to Sam's loss of his canonically romantic partner Eileen, and saying he, Dean, singular, had the task of burying Cas. This version of Dean is also shown, a few minutes later, to be sitting alone in the war room with a beer, eyes closed and head bowed, as if in prayer (after we are shown present-day Dean on his knees praying to Cas in purgatory, btw), the only possible recipient of the prayer being Cas, corrupted by The Mark and buried in the mal'ak box.

In just these two alternate universes, we have greater probable deniability that Cas is in love with Dean, but more circumstantial evidence that Dean loves Cas. (The same is true for this* universe too, actually.)

So new headcanon. We may not be sure that in every universe they exist that they end up together. We may not be 100% certain that in every universe they exist Cas loves Dean. But in every universe they exist, Dean loves Cas.
