idk why after that atul case guys are dragging k dramas into this ? Like I do feel really bad about that guy but why are these men rather than blaming the patriarchy , that causes other men and society to laugh at men who are victims , blaming feminists. Patriarchy is the reason why the society doesn't take male victims seriously and victim blames women , because according to it men should be the alpha and the strongest and most dominating person in the room they are. any man that has been wronged is to be laughed by other men because he isn't manly enough , because any man who is a victim is not strong ( which is a very wrong view ) and if you aren't strong you aren't a man.

most men are the ones who laughed at him and men like him saying " yeh to apni joru se pareshan hai " or " iski biwi isse tang krti hai , kitna na mard aadmi hai". It is the feminists who are siding with him. And secondly why do you bring up male rights only when you have to target feminism. No one blamed men's right activists or blamed them when RG Kar happened. We could have said that because of increase protest of men's right , no one takes women srsly which is true to some point because there was a big majority who victim blamed the doctor. Does not mean that men's right should be ignored just because some misogynists use it as an excuse to target women.

Also if you are blaming k drama for setting unrealistic standards for men , why not take example of dramas like qot where Hae In is the richer one than the ml and she chose her husband repeatedly over a man ( Eun sung ) who was richer than Hyun Woo , despite Eung Sung having the power to give Hae In her company and position back. Why not take lovely runner where Sol repeatedly tried to save Sun Jae ? Why not consider Vincenzo , where Cha young saved Vincenzo life by taking the bullet for him. Why not consider Home Town Cha Cha where the fl bought her own necklace but returned it back because the ml felt bad about not being able to buy it for her ? I can give more examples

Also , it is the recent k dramas which have taught women to choose men who treat them right , who treat them with care , love ,dignity and respect ; just like you want that " girls always choose the red flag over the green flag " . Isn't that what you wanted ? so what's the problem with kdramas showing that.

Up until a few years ago we had kdramas ( most of them were like this ) like "Boys over flowers" that thought us that it is ok if the man bullies you , it's because he loves you. the dating abuse in those k dramas like" I need Romance" or " Princess hours " showed that it's ok for the ml to be mean and aggressive towards you , because at the end of the day he loves you. Forceful kissing , pulling the fl without her consent , assaulting her is ok if you claim to love her. In a Drama named " Uncontrollably Fond " the ml drove recklessly with the fl sitting beside him and then abandoned her in middle of nowhere and in all these scenes the narrative didn't once criticize these actions or show that it was wrong of the ml to do so.

Most of the k dramas showed fl dependent on ml . They depicted the fl as weak , someone who lacks the spine to make her own decisions , someone who is always shy and timid and underconfident. Oh ! Isn't that the same as how Bollywood depicted us and up until now does that ? if anything, most of the kdramas influenced young girls to believe that it's ok if a man is abusive towards you , violent or hurts you. You should forgive him because he has trauma. You are his rehabilitation center , you as the girl in his life hold the responsibility to forgive him time and over. Idk how they are any different from our Indian cinema . Out of every kdrama ever made up until now , only about 40 percent of them do not perpetuate any misogynistic ideas. Others always have some misogynistic ideals or untones

The thing is you all just hate anything women like and at end of the day women are only in the wrong. And what if like many men we start victim blaming atul too like so many guys did for RG Kar and almost every rape case in India ? Why did he choose a wrong partner , why didn't he make this video earlier , why was he silent up until now on the media , shouldn't he have been careful. Oh but when we treat you like the way you treat us , we become sluts or bops right ? Go take a stand for him without blaming the feminists and if you can't just shut up. If you genuinely care about him , maybe stop mocking your friends ( who are men like you ) when they open up about their feelings and traumas instead of calling them weak.
