I already knew the cast wasn’t shunning him, but this makes me so happy! We have Gaten, Caleb, Millie, Finn and the Duffers mentioning Noah positively in interviews, Will being featured heavily in promo, and now evidence of him hanging out with them. The “cast hates Noah!!” people have been put to rest, amen 🙏

first, we got millie mentioning noah while talking about her wedding because it’s “obviously noah” for her.

we also got caleb and gaten talking about noah saying they were cracking jokes with him and caleb saying he re watched s4 with finn and noah

we also got finn, natalia and joe having a nice day at the cinema with noah

but that wasn’t enough noah for finn and joe, so they all went together to watch a tennis match on the very next day

finally, we can see that one duffer got a day out with nosh and the other got a nice hug on set.

let’s not forget how noah as will byers was all over the first teaser because his main character era is coming soon. he also got his own ig post for will’s birthday which we all know broke the internet.

every single conspiracy saying he was shunned or that netflix was going to hide him has been debunked and let me just say that i enjoyed watching that a lot.

I think that's probably where it started from 😭🥰 it was definitely a lot of seeing everybody in the fandom calling will bunny coded, or yeah loving on noah's bunny teeth and how adorable it made will (we are so lucky). And then on twitter it got made horny and a lot of us discussed fox mike and bunny will (but I think as the animals? in a fantastical cartoony way, idk the details didn't matter sksks) and then that turned into hybrids headcanons! so mhm lotta layers lol

a/n: this has been in my drafts for so long and doesn’t really have a full ending but I wanted to post it

Hondo bites his lip as he stares at how Streets desperately trying to cover his shaking hands, it’s not a violent shake but it’s definitely a shake. It had started- more when Hondo first noticed it- about an hour ago when the storm had really picked up.

It’s not totally insane for Street to get worked up when storms happen, the whole teams seen how jumpy he gets, or the way his eyes flick to the windows every five seconds like he’s waiting for the lightning to actually burst through the glass. It never makes it easier for Hondo to see the kid so distressed though.

“Why don’t you come stay at my place tonight? Deacon and Nichelle probably have some dinner going.” David being off shift normally leads to him and Nichelle spending all day in the kitchen while Hondos at work, whether or not the food is edible depends on the day.

“Yeah, okay.” There’s far too much hesitant to the words for Hondo to be even a bit eased but Street agreed so that’s what he needs to focus on.

“Kid? We’re almost home, it’s alright.” Street nods though it doesn’t seem full hearted at all, he’s shifted around the passenger seat to almost hug his knees to his chest as the storm grows louder.

The rain has picked up heavily, lightning making the sky flash every few moments, thunder that’s booming so loud Hondos sure the whole state can hear it, and Streets been getting progressively more and more tucked into himself. Also trying to get closer to Hondo, no matter the center console of Hondos car being in the way.

“Street? Hey, it’s alright, I’m right here.” Hondo feels his heart strings pull when Streets hand frantically grabs Hondos bicep at a bright flash of lighting, Hondo can’t really do much more than allow his hand to drop from the steering wheel to let Street cling to it. Which he does.

His hands instantly held tightly, that shake from earlier shows up again in Streets hand, it’s not a painful hold but Hondo steps on the gas. There’s nothing he wouldn’t do for Street and right now it looks like comfort is in order, he knows Nichelle and Deacon are waiting for the pair, Hondo had sent out a text, Hondo just hopes they’ve gotten the drift of how bad Streets anxiety is.

They get to the house in one piece, it’s all Hondo could’ve hoped for, aside from maybe the storm calming down but that’s unlikely from the looks of it.

“Come on, we can go sit on the couch and relax.” Street stares out the window in almost horror at how much it’s raining, they’ll both be soaked with no argument about it.

“It won’t be that bad, just a few seconds to get to the door.” Streets done far worse than running the few feet in the rain to the door, Hondo knows first hand how Streets sprinted after people in a down pour.

Although right now feels different, a lot of things feel different in this car. Streets body language being one of the main ones, he just looks so vulnerable, so scared, small, like a terrified little kid.

“Kid look at me, it’s going to be okay. We can get you all dried off when we get inside, you won’t even be wet for more than a few minutes.” Hondos really grasping for straws now, but thankfully Street nods and that gives enough for Hondo to let go of Streets hand then slip out of his door.

The rain is cold and pelting, an uncomfortable feeling of wet clothes sticking to his skin quickly appears but Hondo pushes past it, moving to open Streets door to make sure he actually gets out of the truck.

Though Hondo can’t help but be taken off guard at the stone grip Streets hand takes his in as soon as his feet hit the ground, he clings to Hondos side throughout the two minute walk over to the door. Hondos seen Street walk a little closer to his side or how his hand was held in the car but it was nothing like how frantic it is now, he seems petrified.

“Welcome home- jeez you two are cold.” Nichelle has the door thrown open in seconds, wrapping a towel over Hondo and Streets shoulders while Deacon stands with warm clothes behind her.

“It’s really storming out there huh?” Nichelle takes to ruffling Streets hair under the towel, smiling at the locks sticking up in every which way, before she’s helping him shrug his jacket off to hang up to dry off.

“Yeah, pretty cold.” Hondos head tips towards Street, his eyebrows doing a weird dance on his face as he tries to convey how different Streets acting right now, Nichelle just nods shortly, as does Deacon.

The pair get changed into the clothes Deacon offers, Hondo and Deacon shuffling around the kitchen to make some tea while Nichelle and Street cuddle up on the couch. There’s some movie playing, Hondo can’t name it from how little he hears it but if he peaks his head around the corner he can tell it’s an animated one. No doubt something Nichelle put on since Street tends to stick to action movies.

“What are we watching?” Deacon asks, placing the two cups of tea for Street and Nichelle onto the coffee table.

It gives enough time for Hondo to glance over the position Nichelle and Street are in, he’s curled into her side as tightly as he can be, her arm draped over his back with her hand rubbing against his spine, while her other hand reaches to brush through Streets hair.

“It’s the princess and the frog, classic comfort movie.” Nichelle informs, getting a hum of agreement from Street.

“Tired kid?” Hondo chuckles small, it looks like Street could knock out at any second, he just nods against Nichelles middle.

“You wanna stay here tonight?” She questions softly.

“Uh-huh.” Street agrees, tugging his arm around Nichelles waist to pull her in closer, there’s something so childlike about the action that Hondo smiles over to Nichelle, she’s too busy cooing down at Street to see it though.

“Such a sweetheart.” Hondo can only catch little bits of what Nichelles whispering down to Street but he definitely hears that, and notes the tone on her voice is one he’s heard her use on kids when he stops in to visit her when she’s working.

“Don’t you agree Hondo?” Nichelle suddenly turns towards both her partners, raising a brow as if they have any idea what she’s talking about.

“Totally, I agree a hundred percent.” Maybe Deacon has more insight than Hondo does since he immediately nods yes, it makes Streets cheeks go red before he buries himself into Nichelles middle.

“Hondo?” Nichelle inquires with a slight head tilt down til Hondo nods too.

“Anything you want babe.” Not that Hondo has a single clue as to what he just agreed to.

“That settles it, you’re never going back to Lucas and you’re trapped here forever!” She exclaims big and animated, chuckling herself when Street starts to giggle at Nichelles teasing.

“Sorry, what was that? You gotta speak up baby.” Nichelle pauses her laughing when Street mumbles something impossibly small, he shifts up on the couch to nuzzle against Nichelles shoulder with a huff.

“Can’t keep me, Luca will miss me.” Nichelle tsks her tongue in protest.

“Nonsense, he can come visit. You’re never escaping us, I’m sure Luca can fight with Hondo for you, a fight to the death I suppose?” She taps a finger at her chin, grinning widely while Street shakes his head.

“No? Well then you’re stuck with us, to never return to Lucas.” Nichelle throws her arm over Street, pulling him even closer to her chest, he wraps around in no time at all.

“Luca can’t fight Hondo, he’d lose!” Street explains, only making Nichelle start to laugh more and Deacon join in on the chuckles, Hondo can’t help but laugh a little too.

“Deacon then? I think Deac might cheat though.” Nichelle half whispers to Street.

“No! They’d both beat Luca, he can’t fight! You could beat him!” A bark of a laugh escapes Hondos throat when he notices that Deacon is discreetly recording this, no doubt to tell Luca about Street thinking he can’t fight.

“Oh I could? Should I try? I don’t know, Luca looks pretty big.” Nichelle purses her lips.

“If you gotta fight him I’ll do it for you, your hairs too fancy.” Nichelle hums a big smile onto her face at the very serious sounding statement.

“I see, I see. Can’t risk the hair can we?”

“Mm-Mm. S’too pretty.”

“Guys, can we please get going?” Nichelle huffs from the backseat of her van that is the chosen vehicle for the road-trip Hondos dragging Deacon and Nichelle on.

It’s supposed to be nice and relaxing, something to give them some alone time before the baby gets here, a way to getaway from stress. It doesn’t seem to be working all that well considering how argumentative Deacon and Hondo are being about who’ll be driving.

“Sorry honey, we’ll leave as soon as Deacon hands me the keys.” Hondo snaps, ever the temper on him, it makes Kay roll his eyes, and while Nichelle loves Hondo dearly, she agrees that Deacon should be the one driving.

It’s six hours to the secluded cabin they’re renting out for a week, Hondo has some of the worst road rage Nichelles ever seen, and Deacon always drives decently slow which lessens her chances of getting motion sickness. Not that the baby will care, she’s been a little menace making Nichelle wake up gagging for the past few weeks.

“I’m not giving you the keys, I’m driving and that’s it.” Deacons the one in the drivers seat anyways, Hondo would have to come pluck him out of the car to get to his desired spot.

“You can come sit with me Hondo, it’s pretty comfortable.” Nichelle was at peace being the one in the back row from the moment the trip got set into motion, she knew the boys would find some reason to argue before they left, nothing malicious but relationship banter that comes with dating two swat sergeants.

“Nichelle-.” Hondo sighs, stopping himself at Nichelles glowing smile, he finally caves and clambers out of the vans passenger seat.

Deacon and Nichelle share a quick wink through the rear view mirror as Hondo shuffles into the back seat, seeming to relax when Nichelle comes to lay her head against his shoulder and Deacon can start driving with peaceful music going.
