My soul is at unrest
I can feel my gods calling me back to them after a long time of feeling...empty. silence. This wasn’t entirely their fault mind you...i have gone through some things that have rattled who I was and changed me and I think if I had been encompassed in my spirituality perhaps the needed changes would not have occurred as they needed to.
But while I want desperately to run into their arms... I dont know how. the person I was is not the person I am and how I worshipped then...no longer fits. yet...doing nothing feels wrong too
I want to come home... but the old path is closed to me and I cant seem to see the detour signs.
My dear NTRW,,,,Show me the way, I miss you...

Hagging Out - September 2022
AKA Feast of Ptah, Lord of Memphis, South-of-His-Wall
Or, Filling the Handbasket
I believe that I am the only hag in the bunch who doesn't forage. Not that I don't find the whole thing fascinating because I do. Seeing the images of hags and non-hags alike coming back with baskets overflowing with the spoils of their travels is amazing. 10 out of 10; would 100% recommend following a forager or two.
But that is not written in the stars for me. That is a pastime that my gods have made clear is not something I will be undertaking in service to them [for legitimate reasons]. I may explore it but it would be under others' guiding hands and while those hands are available to guide me, I am not capable of that right now.
Plus, I live in urban sprawl and trespassing seems like a bad idea. But, I have markets nearby and wandering the aisles is a little like foraging.

The Memphite Theology is Ptah's creation myth. He is the divine craftsman of existence. Through the speech and thought, he formed creation into existence within the Nun.
While thought was the realm of the heart in ancient Egypt, we now know it is through the brain where thoughts stem. This is why Ptah's physical manifestation in my practice is an anatomical brain (much like Sekhmet's anatomical heart or ib). I focused on finding brain healthy foods that could double as heart healthy foods to fill the handbasket.
Foods chosen: dark chocolate, blueberries, pecans, whole grain bread, apples, and pumpkin seeds.

But filling one's handbasket for the NTRW isn't all a feast of foods. It is also filling the basket with items necessary to maintain ma'at for another day.
Items chosen: the djed pillar, the ankh-djed-was, the feather of ma'at, a jasper heart, the whole Eye, an ankh, and a tiny amulet hand-stamped with an image of an anatomical brain.
Fall asleep and forget all your troubles
Dream of laughter and old friends and lovers
Dream of when you were innocent
Dream forever
- Lullaby by Lord Huron

Going to be starting a garden as well as some mead and beer soon, some of which will be used for offerings. My husband is making Viking's Blood (honey wine with cherry and hibiscus) for his gods, and I want to brew a beer (or wine, of any fruit type) for the NTRW I give regular offerings to: Set, Heru-sa-aset, and Djehuty. Does anyone know of any flower, herb, spice, or fruit associations I could use? (Depending on how much variety is available this season and how many different brewing containers we have ofc)
(I also want to offer to Loki and Fenrir, but the Viking's Blood might work well enough for that.)

The use of amulets is a practice that also can provide much insight into religious practice, the popularity of deities, and the roles of the gods and goddesses. Some amulets represented a sign of devotion to and respect for the power of a particular god. But they could also become a means of protection such as the sacred Eye of Horus. Deities associated with the more personal aspects of the individual are often rendered in the form of an amulet to be worn or carried by the individual in life. They could be protective for both royalty and private people. The practice of using amulets and their magical properties as personal protection and adornment was used throughout Egyptian history, and we can trace back its use to the earliest periods. And they were thought to offer the wearer the protection or power of the Divinity represented. - David P. Silverman

HATHOR
Photo & Retouch : FLAGERO studios (Merion/tackletofset) Muse & Make Up: Zanetta Wardrobe: Mee Djin Couture
[do not repost without permission]
I praise the Golden, I worship Her Majesty, I extol the Lady of Heaven; I give adoration to Het-Hert, Laudations to my Mistress! I called to Her, She heard my plea, She sent my Mistress to me; She came by Herself to see me, O great wonder that happened to me! I was joyful, exulting, elated, When they said: “see, She is here!” As She came, the young men bowed, Out of great love for Her. I make devotions to My Goddess, That She grant me my sister as gift.

Quote
When one observes the representations, in the temple reliefs, of the mounds of food piled up as offerings to the gods, or when one peruses the lists and enumerations of the extremely varied foodstuffs intended for them, one tends to imagine that the gods reveled at lavish, sumptuous feasts liberally supplied with meat and drink. But this was not at all the case. The copious meals offered to the gods by men and ultimately by the priests contrasted sharply with the eating habits that prevailed in the divine world. The gods avoided excess; as a rule, for their meals were frugal.

Ma’ahes
Hi! I’m currently a devote Bast, Tefnut, and Set kind of person, but as I’ve made my mission to be well established as the feline priestess, I continue...
So I want to start next on Ma’ahes! He’s currently calling to be a tad. I want to know if anyone has any experience or tips. Please message me if you are willing! Leave a reply even. 🦁

Hi! I am just curious, because I have been feeling very spiritual lately, but how did you start practicing kemeticism? Were you called to it or did you decide one day that you wanted to start practicing? What did you do to start? I'd like to practice kemeticism too, but I'm not sure how or where to begin. I thought maybe you could help shed some light on your own journey, if you are comfortable doing so?
Sorry it took so long to reply.
Set approached me when I was 14 and a Christian. Two years later I researched modern kemetic pagan communities and when it resonated, I practiced Christo-kemeticism for a few years before just converting to kemeticism.
That said theres no need to be "called" to kemeticism so to speak, if you're interested just read some books, talk to us online, pick a god and give them food and shines (or give offerings to the NTRW as a whole). And if you have any more questions I dont mind answering as well :)

Hello! I just started following you recently & I love your content!! I have a question: What's your take on worshipping the Kemetic gods at the same time as other gods/faiths? I've been researching and getting into Filipino ancestor worship and pantheon as a way to connect to my own culture, but I've also felt a certain draw towards the Kemetic gods as well. I've heard that Kemeticism is open but a part of me still feels uncertain about worshipping from two different cultures simultaneously.
Hey!!
Welcome and thank you so much!! :D
My take is that the nTrw would be absolutely fine with it, for two bit reasons;
☀️ They are very happy sharing space with other gods, for example during the Ptolemaic Period they were worshipped along side the Greek gods. Even to the point that some Greek deities were honoured in Egyptian temples - like offerings to Aphrodite have been found at the Temple of Philae of Isis.
☀️ Ancestor veneration is a big part of Kemetic faith and practise. So your motivation is not something I can imagine the gods having a problem with :)
From the Kemetic side, so long as the nTrw are treated with honour respect, and any offering you make are ritually pure - I doubt they would have any problem at all. :D
☀️☀️☀️
I hope this was helpful! Good luck on your path, and if you have any specific questions about offering or anything like that, always feel free to drop me a message :)
