lol sorry to use u as a question hub it might be annoying but i've never been to one of dnp/dan's tours despite them coming to new zealand before so i was wondering if i go and buy a regular ticket, do i have to buy it as soon as tickets go out 12pm local time or can i chill a bit? does it differ between countries too? like i assume competition for getting tickets in general will be a lot tougher in places like the uk or the us in comparison to new zealand basically solely bc of population and therefore amount of ppl who watch dnp but idk. ty in advance 👍
a regular ticket you should probably be fine to relax, though since there's only one new zealand show i probably wouldn't wait too long? just in case. with nz it could go either way, there's less phannies but also less tickets. i can't imagine it would fully sell out immediately though
and yeah it varies a lot between places. i feel like the toughest ticket battle is gold vip for london, so naturally i'm going for that

"nObOdY wAnTs To WoRk AnYmOrE!!!!" well, here's some snippets of the apparent numbers of applicants on seek, for jobs that i've applied to in the last few months, up to just this week:
to be an HR advisor officer in a call centre in sydney (i received the rejection email for this yesterday (23/8/24) morning like considering i applied 2 weeks late, yeah that's fair lol):
Tumblr media
to be an HR coordinator, (employee experience) for another company in sydney:
Tumblr media
to be a hub concierge at my local area's homelessness specialist services hub (i only applied for this to get ONE of my qualifications to ACTUALLY be useful- ie my certificate IV in housing):
Tumblr media
a customer support and sales position at a local branch of a multinational logistics company:
Tumblr media
a client administrator/coordinator role at a local aged care provider:
Tumblr media
an HR admin position at some type of tech or finance firm where i am:
Tumblr media
an admin support position for a local job provider program or something:
Tumblr media
being a housing officer/community housing worker, again in sydney (and to use my cert IV in housing):
Tumblr media
a scheduling and rostering position at a local aged care service:
Tumblr media
being a support coordinator trainee at a local NDIS (aussie national disability insurance scheme) provider:
Tumblr media
being a receptionist + administration assistant at a local real estate agent:
Tumblr media
most of these i just got a "unlikely to progress" through seek, or outright ghosted. some of them did give me the auto reject email or an email from a person for rejection. but with these numbers..... how the fuck do you think people are ACTUALLY GETTING jobs????
and mind you, this is ONLY seek (which is a big job board in australia and NZ). I have NO idea the amount of applications these places ALSO HAVE across other platforms such as indeed, jora, adzuna, ethicaljobs (for the NGO/charity etc sectors for the jobs in housing or disability support jobs etc), the dreaded linkedin AND all the other job sites.... and actual employer sites that I've applied on directly. (except for the dept of communities and justice (dcj) housing officer job that I had an info session for just on wednesday this last week.... where there were 120 other applicants in there with me, but STATEWIDE [bc it's the new south wales gov housing dept homes nsw]). but yeah. fuck off with the "nobody wants to work anymore" bs.

Prostitution is legal in NZ, correct? Is it really worse than before? Because pro-legalization advocates seem to think that the country is a good example for them...
we are considered the trafficking hub of the pacific. a massive chunk of prostituted women are asian immigrant that were lured over, barely speaking any english, let alone understand their workers right. they are charged high boarding fees, and other absurd fees in order to keep them either in debt to the brothel, or with so little income that they can't afford to leave the job. another large portion is maori women, often young girls. by the time they reach the legal age of 18, they are already considered 'used up' and 'unattractive and old'.
though prostitution is legal, there is leeway, where each city can have its own laws regarding the advertising and openness of the industry. some cities ban street prostitution, some have extremely strict laws around visible signage, etc. some are very open and allow anything and everything. so, you'll have entire blocks infamous for street prostitution (the most famous one is k road in auckland). anti trafficking and human rights orgs, including ones like amnesty and human rights watch, have issued warnings and dire reports about the state of prostitution and trafficking in new zealand. but most of the info that comes out about the industry is disseminated by our massive pimp lobby, the new zealand prostitution collective (nzpc). they are very powerful in terms of publicity, media, and even government policy.

So I have a tiny family... People usually chime in and say their family is also small. I'm always curious to see what their idea of small is.
Including all grandparents, siblings (+ partners), parents, nieces and nephews of my siblings, my partner and my children... Grand total of 7 people. (For sake of comparison, Hubs' family counted this way is 15 people).
If I include (just in my family) and go out to aunt's and uncles, first cousins PLUS their kids, we get to a grand total of 11 people. 11. (13 if we include partners, and 15 if we include children of those partners, but whom are step-children to my cousin). (Hubs stops counting past 50 and just shrugs... He has LOTS of cousins).
My mum is dead. She had one older sister, who died in 2000 (and had separated from her husband 7 years prior). She had 3 daughters, which gives me my 3 cousins. None of my grandparents are alive.
My dad is alive, but is an only child, so no cousins there.
My younger brother and his wife have no kids and do not intend to have any.
My three female cousins, one lives in Virginia USA (married, no kids), one lives in Auckland NZ (not married, step-mum to two kids part-time), and the youngest lives in Thailand (divorced, one kid who lives in The Netherlands with their dad).
I can have an extended family dinner, and still not reach the number of Hubs' immediate family.
Anyway, had lunch today with my youngest cousin as she's visiting from Thailand (she's a teacher there and it's Thai New Year), and also got to see my middle cousin as well, so that was pretty cool.

Large Warehouse Space in NZ
Large Warehouse Space in New Zealand: A Strategic Asset
The demand for Large Warehouse Space in NZ  has been on the rise, driven by the growth of e-commerce, manufacturing, and logistics industries. Efficient storage solutions and strategic location choices are critical for businesses aiming to optimize their operations and meet consumer demands. This article delves into the key aspects of securing and utilizing large warehouse spaces in New Zealand.
Growing Demand and Market Trends
The logistics and warehousing sector in New Zealand has experienced significant growth over recent years. The rise of online shopping has been a major contributing factor, with businesses needing more space to store inventory and manage distribution. Moreover, the country's strategic position as a gateway to the Asia-Pacific region makes it an attractive location for international trade.
Key Locations for Warehousing
Auckland: As New Zealand's largest city and primary economic hub, Auckland is a prime location for warehousing. The proximity to major ports and airports facilitates efficient distribution channels, making it a favored spot for large warehouse facilities.
Christchurch: Serving as the economic center of the South Island, Christchurch offers extensive warehousing opportunities. The city's well-developed infrastructure and access to the Port of Lyttelton make it a strategic choice for businesses.
Hamilton: Located in the Waikato region, Hamilton is emerging as a logistics hub due to its central location and excellent transport links. The availability of large tracts of industrial land makes it ideal for expansive warehousing projects.
Factors to Consider When Securing Warehouse Space
Location and Accessibility: Proximity to major transport routes, ports, and urban centers is crucial. Warehouses should be easily accessible for both incoming and outgoing goods to minimize transit times and costs.
Size and Layout: The size of the warehouse should align with the business's storage needs. A large warehouse offers the flexibility to store bulk inventory, manage seasonal variations, and scale operations. The layout should facilitate smooth internal logistics, including efficient shelving, loading docks, and handling areas.
Modern Infrastructure: Modern warehouses are equipped with advanced technology to streamline operations. Features such as automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), climate control, and robust security systems are essential for maintaining efficiency and protecting assets.
Sustainability: Increasingly, businesses are prioritizing environmentally sustainable practices. Warehouses with energy-efficient lighting, solar panels, and waste reduction systems are becoming more attractive to companies looking to reduce their carbon footprint.
Benefits of Large Warehouse Space
Operational Efficiency: Large warehouse spaces allow businesses to consolidate their operations, reducing the need for multiple storage locations. This consolidation leads to improved inventory management and reduced operational costs.
Scalability: With ample space, businesses can easily scale their operations to accommodate growth. Whether expanding product lines or increasing stock levels, a large warehouse provides the necessary flexibility.
Customer Satisfaction: Efficient warehousing and distribution are key to meeting customer expectations for timely deliveries. A strategically located and well-managed warehouse enhances a company's ability to fulfill orders promptly, improving customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Conclusion
Investing in Large Warehouse Space in NZ is a strategic decision that can drive operational efficiency and support business growth. By considering factors such as location, size, infrastructure, and sustainability, businesses can secure warehouse facilities that meet their current needs and accommodate future expansion. As the demand for warehousing continues to grow, having a well-planned and strategically located warehouse will remain a critical asset for businesses in New Zealand.

M&M visit C in C
Meghan and Megan came to visit! They arrived on Tuesday around noon, so we jumped straight in to lunch! We went to a place just down the street from my flat that has been recommended to me several times called Little Poms. It was an excellent excuse to finally check it out!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Once we finished lunch, I had to finish up my work day, so I sent them on a walk in the Red Zone. Red Zones are areas that are unsafe to rebuild on post-earthquake due to the sustained damage. This particular Red Zone was previously a neighborhood and is now only empty lots. All buildings have been torn down, and cars are not allowed to drive the streets. It has become a popular walking and biking path for locals. It's my regular walking path, so I was surprised when they came back from the walk saying that it was a bit longer than they had envisioned for a post-lunch walk.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
After the big travel day, we went to the Meg(h)ans AirBnb and played a few rounds of NZ Trivial Pursuit - even though they had been traveling for 24 hours, I still lost!
Tumblr media
I had to work the rest of the week, so the Meg(h)ans had to entertain themselves the first few days. They were staying in New Brighton - a good spot for its proximity both to me and to the beach. They could walk down the street to a little coffee cart and then be straight on the beach, and I was about a 15-minute drive away. They went to the beach for a bit, and when I got out of work we drove over to the Christchurch Botanic Gardens.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The next day, we went to the Christchurch Night Market, which takes place every Thursday on the rooftop level of the Hornby Hub parking garage. It's a great little market with tons of international food options. We bought a few things from a few different places - I made the Meg(h)ans try barbecued pork intestine because I had had them with a friend once before and actually enjoyed them!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here's everything we got:
Cochina (Brasil) chicken croquettes
Bao (China) steamed pork buns
Pork and intestine (Philippines) served on skewers with dipping sauce
Peach tea (Taiwan)
Pickled quail eggs (Philippines)
Mince and cheese hand pie (New Zealand)
A tasty time was had by all!

Maximizing Reach: Flyer Distribution Auckland and Brochure Distribution Wellington
In the bustling cities of Auckland and Wellington, businesses strive to capture the attention of their target audience amidst the constant buzz of urban life. In this digital age, where online marketing dominates, the tangible power of flyer distribution in Auckland and brochure distribution in Wellington remains profoundly effective. Let's delve into how these traditional marketing methods continue to make a significant impact in reaching potential customers.
Understanding the Local Dynamics
Auckland: The City of Sails
Auckland, known as the "City of Sails," boasts a diverse population and a thriving business landscape. From the vibrant streets of the CBD to the suburban neighborhoods, businesses vie for visibility amidst the bustling urban environment. Flyer Distribution Auckland presents a tangible and direct way to reach out to residents, tourists, and commuters alike. Whether promoting a local event, announcing a new business opening, or advertising a special offer, distributing flyers enables businesses to target specific demographics with precision.
Wellington: The Capital Hub
Nestled between rolling hills and a picturesque harbor, Wellington stands as the political and cultural heart of New Zealand. With a compact city center and a strong sense of community, Brochure Distribution Wellington offers businesses a unique opportunity to engage with residents and visitors alike. From showcasing the latest products and services to promoting tourism experiences, brochures serve as portable ambassadors for businesses seeking to make a lasting impression in the capital city.
The Power of Tangibility
In an era dominated by digital advertisements, the tactile experience of holding a flyer or brochure cannot be overstated. Unlike fleeting online ads that can be easily scrolled past or ignored, physical marketing materials command attention and leave a lasting impression. Whether handed out on the street, inserted into mailboxes, or displayed in strategic locations, flyers and brochures engage the senses and foster a sense of connection with the brand or message being conveyed.
Targeted Outreach for Maximum Impact
One of the key advantages of flyer and brochure distribution is the ability to target specific geographic areas or demographics. By strategically selecting distribution points based on foot traffic, consumer behavior, or demographic data, businesses can ensure that their marketing materials reach the most relevant audience. This targeted approach maximizes the return on investment and increases the likelihood of converting leads into customers.
Partner with Admail NZ
