They had worked one job involving a dark guild a few months back. It was suppose to have been Jellal that meet up with the Mermaid Heel contact, but circumstances cause Macbeth to take his place. The two worked well together, both calm and focused at the task at hand. At some point the two had managed to bond between their lingering mistrust in Jellal. Snapping quips back and forth at his expense. Despite the little they had spoken, she had become someone hard for them to forget. Something about those golden eyes reflected something familiar inside. A hidden darkness that hid behind a calm determiner. Yes, familiar indeed.

It was unimaginable that they had actually come to this. The crowed suggested that, like them, others beside Mermaid Heel members were invited. Surveying the merriment made them feel out of place, lost even. These types of things were better suited for Sorano. The traitor refused to come along. Muttering something about it being more ‘meaningful’ if they went alone. At least the chosen music was pleasant. Crimson eyes darted around until they spotted their target. She sat alone, almost hidden by decorations. They went the long way, tracing the wall, to avoid having to mingle with strangers. They finally approached her with delicate steps.“Was the request to help you fill in empty seats?” They didn’t take one though, they were too transfixed on her. Part of them was genuine glad to see her well, the other part was being cautions. “I’m surprised you invited me.” Breaking free they averted their eyes out to those dancing.

I dont' think I'll get around to an Inktober post today. But here's a closer look at the Obsidian Blade. I stand by my previous statement that weapon design is more difficult than character design.
