Rules: use this Meiker.io to create your Lavellan (or another OC) as they would appear in ancient Arlathan – in both peace and war – and a little snippet about what their life might have been like during both. Then tag some friends!
I wasn't tagged but I saw it on the blog of @prettycozyghosty and I want to play hope you don't mind xoxo
I'm tagging @bluetiefling
Anwyn Lavellan in ancient Arlathan AU
Peacetime: This is when she is content. Anwyn was born to a family of Dirthamen's slaves, ones whose loyalty and usefulness allows them a modicum of power compared to the Lord of Secrets many, many servants. Anwyn is largely left to her own devices, leading aging servants in keeping a library outside of the main cities of the Empire.
She is good at performing her duties, enjoys it, even. She seems to know the content of each book, intuits exactly where they should rest on the shelf. A labyrinth made navigable through her careful and assured stewardship. Anwyn's competence allows her to become one of Dirthamen's Secret Keepers, and thus is privy to some (never all) of the Empire's dirtiest secrets. She takes it in stride, shoves the knowledge to the back of her mind where she does not have to think about it thankyouverymuch.
Many of the Evanuris' favourites visit her library, seeking out her knowledge. She hates it when Solas or Felassan visit. They always seem to be hiding something, and no matter what she does, she is always left out of the loop. The Wolf visits more often than the Arrow, but that's just yet another secret that she compartmentalises. Instead, she focuses on her books and the quiet serenity of her refuge, far from the politics and scheming of Arlathan.
Wartime: This is when she thrives. Anwyn is clever enough to know that wars are not won by soldiers, but by information. All of a sudden, Anwyn, one of hundreds of Secret Keepers across the Empire, is a valuable chess piece. When the Arrow arrives to take her away from her library, she laughs in his face. She wakes up in a villa on the other side of an Eluvian regardless.
Her pride is hurt enough that it takes days before she agrees to listen to Solas and his general about their little 'cause'. When she does, however, she still refuses to speak Dirthamen's secrets.
Instead, she makes ephemeral traces in the dirt. Ones in a scrawl that is only read by the Wolf. Before he even gets to the end, she's erasing it, refusing to allow any evidence of this blasphemy. Just like there can be no evidence of this madness that's followed between them ever since hushed conversations in her library. He still recognises her cautious rebellion for the gift that it is.
Anwyn cuts her hair, removes the pretty gilding that Dirthamen gave her. She trades elegant gowns for rough leathers and she has never been more filled with purpose.
She doesn't ask Solas, her lover, to tell her his secrets. Not when she has her own goals. Not when she spends her days flitting across eluvians between rebel outposts and the sanctuary of her library. Their shared revelations can come later, once the incomprehensible danger has passed. It never does.

White Hawk Timeline Hcs
Part 1
Tw: mentioned sexual assault
A lot of Griffith’s men are sick, so he stops in a town in search of a doctor. In town, he senses the brand of sacrifice as well as something he can’t place, so he follows the pull until he comes to a clinic. In the back of his mind, he knows that the brand belongs to Nori. Griffith feels his heart start to beat, just as he did on The Hill of Swords. Excitement.
Griffith’s mere presence is too much for Nori’s body. He’s unable to register the sound of the people around him panicking. He can only feel the pain and fear because Nori knows that whatever the brand was reacting to was a bigger evil than he could fight. Not only that, but he’s scared for himself, his son, and the people of the town. Then, all of a sudden, the pain is gone. There's a hand on his shoulder, and he hears that voice. His voice. Griffith. The people around them seem to disappear, and as Nori looks up at him, it's like it’s only them in the room. Like a stoat in a hawk’s claws.
Griffith tells Nori that he’s glad to see he is well, and he really is. Nori just looks away from him. Griffith knows he can’t lose Nori again, so he tells him that his men are sick and that he needs help. Nori, much to his detriment, is a compassionate man and decides to help.
After agreeing to this, Nori is told by Griffith that he’ll be safe from the evil spirits if he stays by his side. He agrees, but is hesitant. When Griffith goes to leave, Nori stops to bring a boy. To which Griffith realizes the boy is not only Nori’s child, but was a product of him being raped by the king. He also realizes that this child was tainted by the Eclipse, and he had been sensing him alongside the brand.
Now, Griffith feels nothing towards Cassius. The boy may be the product of the abuse he had witnessed Nori go through, but Griffith only feels for Nori and Guts. He doesn't care about Cassius outside the fact that he is a potential way to the throne. Outside the shop, Nori, Cassius, and Griffith are confronted by Mule and Sonia. The two are curious about Nori and his son. Sonia is quick to ask questions, while Mule tries to stop her.
At the camp, Nori instructs his doctors and nurses as they take care of the sick men. He also has to sleep in Griffith’s tent at night, or at least have an apostle with him to protect him from evil spirits. Nori himself takes care of the sick as well, causing him to end up sick himself. Griffith panics slightly when he hears this, but is unable to go to Nori at first. When he does get to him, Griffith finds Nori in the tent of his closest doctor James, and he’s not pleased.
James is far too close to Nori and even tells Griffith that he needs to leave. Griffith eventually gets James to back down and takes Nori back to his tent. Where, in his mind, Nori belonged. Griffith spends as much time with Nori as he can. He’s reminded of just how human and vulnerable the man is.
Griffith hates seeing Nori whimpering and crying in his sleep. He does relish that he can hold him. When Nori’s fever breaks, he tries to go back to work, but Griffith forbids him from doing so. Griffith keeps Nori from working up until the sickness passes.

The way you explore Bastien’s sense of identity through his presentation reminds me of an OC of mine, so they might see eye to eye in at least some respects! My guy Evan (he/him) is a fat trans man who figured out he was trans a little late into his teenage years because he was too preoccupied being the third parent to his three younger siblings. Eventually this fact about himself was too strong for him to ignore, though, and thus he quickly began the process of socially transitioning and gradually sought medical transition as well. He changed names several times throughout this period (Callum, Beck, Rory, and many others among them)
His parents… They weren’t *un*supportive, but in the very least his mother, who saw a lot of herself in her oldest child, indulged his desire to transition while never quite shaking his deadname out of her vocabulary, you know? Especially with him changing names *so* often, it’s just *so* hard to remember which one is right these days. And Evan wanted to maintain a relationship with his parents for a long time (honestly what he wanted was to stay close to his siblings, the youngest of whom is 13 years younger than him). It wasn’t until after he met his eventual spouse, Isador (he/she), who called him by the right name consistently, who encouraged him to experiment and figure out what he liked about being trans, and who showed him what supportive family looks like (Isador was raised by her grandmother who absolutely loves the hell out of her grandkid), that he eventually got the courage to confront his parents. This eventually leads to him going no-contact with said parents, although his siblings reach back out to him on their own
It takes a WHILE for Evan to feel comfortable circling back to femininity for himself, and to feel totally comfortable in his body even then. He grows out a beard and dresses in layers to kind of hide how his body looks underneath. He pushed his feminine hobbies and interests to the side Hard when he started socially transitioning, because he convinced himself he Had to, and instead leans hard into new hobbies like handiwork and cars. Once again he’s content to simply push through the feelings as though they’re small, until they’re too big to ignore. Years down the line, after he and Isador are married, he can admit to himself that Christina Aguilera may still be one of his favourite artists. After they have a daughter together, he comes back to the mending skills he learned as a kid in order to fix her dolls — and maybe even make her some, when he feels brave enough
Evan also tends to be good at reading people and social settings, and if he knew Bastien to any degree, I think he’d be thrilled to see how their sense of personal style and the way they carry themselves changes over time. It’s good to see :)
(Wolfgang and Isador would also absolutely queen out. That’s a separate thing skhdjssjg)
(sorry for getting to this a bit late i got this ask as i was heading out!)
helloooo Evan(and Isador!!) so nice to meet them :") <3 !
really really love how much care and love you put into his story and the realistic and long identity journey (some of the family stuff really hits so hard).
i don't post about this stuff much since its not relevant to the story and i like exploring my characters identities in relation to each other but Bastien left his family when he was fairly young to get himself out of that town and that deeply supressive environment and off to med school as far away as possible, and they've been no contact pretty much since. he used to be a twinkish dyke, and then a dykish twink early on in university and that environment was really fundamental in experimenting with gender and sexuality for him. he was also really lonely, and unsure of anything - getting himself DIY testoterone and then waffling whether he actually wanted to go on it, then waffling about some of the changes, then waffling about top surgery (so he spent some years walking around with mustache and tits) just. a lot of anxiety and stress all the time, they preferred to just put their studies ahead of anything else and only engage in sexuality in terms of one night flings on campus. then after one dramatic event and a shoulder injury, continuing studies was no longer an option and his life just. shattered.
this is where Matteo came into his life in a bigger way, and immediately he was someone really attractive because he seemed so confident, his life figured out, future lined out. it was intoxicating to be in the presence of someone so self assured without a care in the world. who in turn also accepted Bastien - at least back then, when he was a depressed twink Matteo could "save"- and motivated him. but ultimately it was like jumping from one form loneliness and isolation into another form of it, now depending on his cis partner, surrounded by Matteos cis rich friends. his body still changing, gaining weight, feeling unattractive to his partner and locked into specific way of gender and sexuality expression, losing sense of his identity and what they even wanted to do with their life. its so alienating.
all this is to say-- i think if Bastien knew somemone like Evan early on, he would have really loved to have a friend like that - someone going through similar experiences i feel like they could have found a lot of strength and support in each other :") i think if they stayed in touch and friendly over the years, they could have been really positive influences on each other and maybe Bastien would not have such deep seated issues opening up to other people and even to himself. lost in the thought imagining the happiness Bastien would feel visiting Evan's family and seeing the pure love and joy there and what it took to get there its just :"))))) maybe he even would have the strength to leave his unhappy relationship seeing what it's like to be *actually* really accepted when seeing how Isador loves Evan :"))
thank you for sharing!!

I almost always make ocs in groups or pairs, or at least fit them into some sort of preexisting group. I get stuck making friends for Delta tho bc.. it feels like making friends for myself since he's a sona, which feels odd to me. not that there's anything wrong with it of course, it's just a strange character creation prompt that I don't really like.
So he kind of just ended up being friends w his coworkers at the aquarium which is funny bc blue and kazuki work there for unrelated reasons, so I sort of just. Made ocs inspired by my fav characters friends w my sona by accident. It's like. reverse self-insert fanfiction or something

Hurt
Cw: physical/verbal abuse
Summary: Adonis finds Rowan once more being abused by Gideon. He does his best to comfort the king.
“You pathetic whore! If you pull that shit again, I'll make your punishment worse, got that?” Gideon snarled as he slapped Rowan. “Fucking answer me!”
“...Yes.” The king murmured as he tried to hide the way his voice wanted to break. Rowan couldn’t let the old man know he was still the scared little kid he had first preyed upon.
“Tch, good.” The duke clicked his tongue as he tipped Rowan's chin up. “I push you, so you'll be a good king. You know I'm only doing this because I love you, right?” Gideon asked in a tone that made Rowan's stomach churn.
“Yes.” He felt defeated. Nothing he could do would get him out of this. He could only hope the old duke's fiend heritage had no effect on his life span.
“Hmph, good. Now, good night. I have a big day tomorrow, so this was a good stress relief session.” Gideon turned and left. Once the man turned the corner, Rowan's legs gave out.
“Rowan…?” Great, it was Adonis. He had seen everything, no doubt. It took everything Rowan had to not give into the beast right at that moment.
“O-oh, you saw that? I apologize…” Rowan strained to say as he swallowed the lump in his throat. He couldn’t look at the man behind him. Not after what had happened.
“No… no need to apologize… That guy's a piece ‘a shit, and he smells like musty metal.” It almost made Rowan laugh. Adonis was terrible at comforting people. “But, um, it's kinda cold out… so how's about we get you in where it's warm?”
“That… that sounds nice…” Rowan sighed as the man picked him up. Closing his eyes, the king leaned his head against Adonis’ chest plate. It was cold, but Rowan felt closer to his knight this way.
~~~
Rowan was acting distant more than he had before, despite the fact he hadn't let Adonis leave his sight. The knight was panicking internally. He knew of Rowan's curse, and he knew the king was close to cracking.
“Hey, I think you should eat something warm,” Adonis suggested as he watched Rowan lying in bed, staring at the canopy. He almost wanted to force the king to eat. “...C'mon, please?” If it meant begging, Adonis would get on his knees.
“I'm not hungry.” Rowan hadn't even turned his head to look at his knight once. Then, Adonis got an idea.
“Oh shit, I have training in the morning. I'll get Cora to look after you.” Adonis hoped he was convincing. He stood and turned to leave when Rowan called him out on his lie.
“You're a horrible liar,” Rowan said flatly. “I know your schedule. I know you have tomorrow off.” Of course, he would know his knight's schedule.
“Well, I'm leaving unless you eat!” Adonis stomped his foot like a toddler. He felt like a one with how badly he wanted to lie down while screaming and flailing.
“...Fine.” It seemed Rowan really didn't have much fight left in him. Adonis felt like shit for using Rowan's fear of abandonment against him, but he needed to eat.
“Okay. I'll call a maid.” Thankfully, Adonis wouldn't have to leave. There were servant bells in Rowan’s room. They were magic and alerted different people depending on what bell they held.
Adonis fumbled a bit, as he still had trouble reading, before finding the bell for the kitchen and ringing it. It wouldn't take long for a maid to come running. Soon enough, there was a knock at the door, and Adonis was requesting chicken soup noodle soup for Rowan.
~~~
Rowan wasn’t hungry. In fact, eating was the furthest thing from his mind, but it would make Adonis happy, and he knew his body needed it. After the stress he went through, Rowan knew his body was already losing strength.
“Here it is!” Adonis cheered as he pulled the bowl of warm soup from the dumbwaiter. “And it's still steaming.” Rowan didn't really have the energy to sit up.
“You'll have to feed me,” Rowan sighed. “My body is tired.” He could always count on his knight to help him when he was like this.
“Sure thing,” Adonis hummed as he helped his king sit up. “I like this soup. It's better than the stuff I ate at camp, but sometimes I miss it.” Rowan couldn’t understand how the man would miss the dried meat and gruel he claimed to eat.
The soup did make Rowan feel better. It warmed him and made some strength come back. He preferred the broth and chicken over the noodles. They were too slimy for Rowan's taste.
“I feel like I'm feeding a baby.” For some reason, Rowan let that slide. He always let the knight get away with dumb shit. After Rowan finished the bowl, Adonis put it on the bedside table.
“Stay tonight.” Rowan didn't want to be alone. Adonis nodded and tried to get comfortable in the chair he was sitting in. “Join me.” The knight looked slightly hesitant, but got in bed with him. “Thank you.” Rowan muttered as he rolled over and snuggled into Adonis’ side.
“Huh? O-of course!” Adonis stammered. Any other day, Rowan would tease the man for his shyness, but he was tired and just wanted to feel his knight beside him. Even if he didn't hold him, Rowan felt better curled up next to Adonis.
Then, carefully, Adonis pulled the king onto his chest. Rowan was too grateful for the affection to care about the surprise he should feel at the knight taking initiative. Adonis holding him was all he wanted at the end of the day. Now, despite everything, Rowan could sleep peacefully.

(was gunna add this to tags but hey ho let's pop it here)
honestly, the dream is to have people interested in your ocs 🥰.
I do think people love to see ocs but it's just algorithms and the fact that it's unlikely anyone will be following your oc tag (whereas there's probably many people following the tags associated with fan art).
As a viewer though, I get anxious about commenting on people's ocs when they aren't marked as ocs! If it's some cool ass character and there's no tag for if it's an oc or from some media, I don't reblog or comment because like, what if its from a show I don't follow/like/support? But if its marked as an Oc I can be like damn this artist has made a cool Little Friend and reblog it.
(Also I get nervous asking questions because I don't want to overstep but actually I am going to get over that this year 🥺)
“No one wants to look at art of OCs” I don’t think that’s true at all…I follow people specifically to see their OCs literally all the time. Bring back being curious about people’s OCs, asking questions about them and hyping them up like we did when we were teens
