Hmmmm. Gonna overhaul the Kageyama Sisters’ character bios, I think (though I never did finishe Kana and Hina’s).

Obviously Reina’s team is staying the same, and Hina’s has somehow grown to now also include just. Pets.

I can’t seem to nail down Kana’s, though. Her murkrow, jolteon, gyarados, and baby sneasle are staying, but after that I’m stuck. 😓

i haven't come out about this because it's classified as trauma to me but there was this one time in 2021 where i wrote for the haikyuu fandom and i was friends with this girl at the time who was very particular about fanfics and she shipped hinata and kageyama a lot to the point where she hated seeing self inserts with hina or kage for some reason?? (pretty weird why do you care that much now that i think about it but whatever)

so i was like cool i'll write for them it's not even a big deal so i did and it was the longest thing i wrote, about like 15k words and i sent it to her to read and she was excited but as she kept reading it on the call she was asking all these questions. and then finally she's like "oh wait THIS was the kagehina fic?" and i said "yeah? my bad, i'm still working out how they act" and she said "yeah, you didn't portray them right at all i couldn't even tell who either of them were. thought they were ocs but its okay cuz ur still not finished with the show!" (i was finished with it) and that was it she didn't gaf and ever since then i've never written nor interacted with that fandom, deleted the story, and now i'm very slow because i'm afraid of being grilled for mischaracterization 😁

Dorian Kanzaki

Currently mostly settled in the Unova region, from Kanto. Orphaned at a young age, has a very peculiar looking Pokemon (that appeared from a different dimension via Hoopa portal, thanks you chaotic thing you)

Which eventually evolved into this Tangeot

Tangeot hardly battles anymore, serving as a rather ominous-speaking talking pokemon companion that's been with him since he was a child.

Dorian is very much a battler and gets pretty competitive when doing so, which is a remnant from growing up battling to earn money so he could survive. Dorian loves pokemon in general along with music (usually heavier music) and plants (although he can't grow them to save his life). Also tends to be a bit chaotic in general, being playful towards those around him. Dorian is also a decently accomplished pokemon breeder, sometimes giving out pokemon eggs as gifts to other people.

Has two partners. One is his wife Hina Kageyama who belongs to @outoutdamnspark and the other is his girlfriend Pecha who belongs to @peachsodama .

Voice Claim: Anthony Martinez from Dark Divine

Isamu

Dark-type trainer, friend and rival to Dorian. Born and raised in Unova, an absolute menace to the gym challenge. In one AU, he becomes a gym leader and takes over for Roxie in the Virbank City gym.

Tends to be loud and energetic, very excitable. Has golden retriever energy. Just as chaotic as Dorian, if not worse. Also tends towards heavier music much like Dorian. Led a pretty normal life, taking on the gym challenge a bit earlier in age before most do. Loves cycling through routes and exploring the region in his downtime.

Has a partner named Kana Kageyama who belongs to @outoutdamnspark but is also very polyamorous.

Voice Claim: Will Ramos from Lorna Shore (fair warning, this band is considerably heavier than the other two)

Rory Paloverde

From Paldea, grew up in Montenevera before eventually going to Mesagoza to attend school.

Starts off as a person who doesn't talk too much to people he doesn't know but really opens up around friends. Over time he gets more comfortable around others in general though. Is very interested in pokemon history, ends up being a researcher because of it. Before moving away from Paldea, he took it upon himself to document all the Paradox pokemon for research purposes as well as researching the Treasures of Ruin (even going so far as to catch Chien-Pao).

Eventually moves to Unova, being fascinated by the story of Zekrom, Reshiram, and Kyurem.

Speaks both Paldean and Galarian.

Has a boyfriend named Rawst who belongs to @peachsodama .

Yet another head full of OC a/b/o thoughts while at work!

(Inspired by @bellafragolina breaking down Ren’s scent notes~ 💕)

🌸 Reina (Ω) smells faintly like cigarettes and fertile soil at any given time, due to her love of gardening and occasional smoking habit. Her natural omega scent, however, also contains chamomile, petrichor, sweet grass, and cloves. Overall it might seem off-putting, since no one would automatically consider those scents to pair well together. Up close, however, they combine to create an earthy, subtly sweet scent that calls to mind thoughts of calm spring mornings.

When she’s excited or extremely happy, the petrichor and sweet grass become more prominent - sometimes eliciting second-hand feelings of joy in those around her.

When calm and contented, more of the chamomile scent comes forward. Most notably, her scent is almost overridden by it entirely around the handful of people she feels comfortable enough around to cuddle, giving into her omega nesting instincts.

When afraid, her scent turns to something like compost, as if the plant matter that makes up her overall scent is now starting to decay. Anger smells similar, but more like active, choking rot and less like dampened earth.

When in heat, her scent changes to incorporate notes of chai tea and honey, downplaying the sweet grass and petrichor in favor of something thicker and spicier.

🌼 Kana (β) likes to make and wear her own fragrances, so she’ll oftentimes smell softly like pear and blackberry, or sharp, sweet pine. She likes to play with scents that pair well with her own subtle beta scent, which contains black walnut, honeysuckle flowers, and clear, cold water. Generally her scent is calming, pleasant, with just a hint of spice and earth from the walnut - like a dry summer evening.

When in a neutral, calm state, her scent stays mellow, with the walnut being an undertone and the honeysuckle being at the forefront. The feelings typically described from being exposed to her scent when she's content and happy are comfort, security, and oddly, a kind of awareness or clarity.

When excited or joyous, the black walnut takes center stage, stinging the noses of those around her in the most pleasant of ways and 'waking them up,' so to speak.

Around her loved ones her scent shifts to be more of the fresh water, inviting them to relax. It's different than her usual honeysuckle "neutral" smell, as it only properly comes out when she's fully content and relaxed, herself.

When agitated or afraid, her scent changes almost entirely to something sharp and metallic, like rotting walnut and iron. When angry, though, nearly everything else fades away until all that's left is the scent of hot blood.

After Osuke's death, Kana's scent is tinged with the bitter ashes and rain-damp sandstone of ever-present grief. Over time, it fades to salty ocean spray and charcoal but doesn't start to go away until she meets and adopts Nise. Her new pup brings happiness back into her life, and her scent changes to reflect it; in addition to the incorporation of Nise's scent of ozone and earth, Kana also gains the scent of the sweet milk "mother" scent.

💖 Hina (α) doesn't have much in the way of extra scents that cling to her, as she isn't as much into fragrances as her oldest sister is, nor does she smoke. She also just dislikes wearing hair or makeup products that smell like much of anything, so the most she'll have is possibly sakura shampoo or vanilla lip gloss. These compliment her natural alpha scent of cherry candy, hibiscus, and the faintest hint of cinnamon.

When she's happy or playful, her scent is primarily candy-like - fruit and sugar and with a tiny bite of tartness that's not so cloyingly sweet as to have her be mistaken for a child. People around her tend to find themselves in a slightly brighter mood if around her cherry scent for long enough.

When relaxed and comfortable, usually reserved for her partners or sisters, her scent mellows out and becomes more like cherry blossoms than cherry candy. Not quite so sharp or bright, but softer and more floral. The cinnamon fades, leaving behind the impression of mild, warm springtime just on the cusp of summer.

When angry, she smells almost like cinnamon whiskey. All fruit and candy sweetness are gone, replaced with the harsh burn of alcohol and hot cinnamon. Her fear, however, smells like fermented fruit.

For her ruts, Hina's scent changes to be mostly hibiscus, but with the addition of candied oranges and red raspberries - still sweet but sharper, more like a strong, fruity, herbal, tea than candy.

All together, the sisters share the underlying familial scent signatures of flowers and herbs, with little hints of earthier undertones. The most common note that is most recognizable when they're all together and relaxed, is red clover or the faintest touch of honey.

My head was full of thoughts while I was stuck at work today, so have this~

🌸 Reina is definitely an omega.

Sadly, as she’s really never been in a good enough environment to have a proper heat, she has an instinctive association with them equaling anxiety and lack of safety. The only exceptions are the 2 years she spends in Galar with her best (un-eebied) friend, Raleigh. (My wife’s oc~) Raleigh, being a beta, provides that missing comfort and security during the 3 or 4 heats Reina has while the pair are roommates, and acts as a very sweet, calming, platonic nestmate. Even after Reina gets her apartment in Unova, the fear of impermanence makes weathering her heats an exhausting affair.

(Which means that the moment she enters into a stable relationship, her cycle is going to swing wildly out of control.)

🌼 Kana is a beta.

She’s a very calming, assuring presence in the lives of those she chooses to keep close, and there’s an adamant sort of stability that underlies everything she does. She does, however, exhibit traits more commonly associated with the other secondary genders - in that she is a terrifying sight to behold if she feels someone she loves has been wronged. She fights like a protective omega, viscously and without mercy, and commands a cold, intimidating anger akin to an alpha’s warning behavior.

(She is also a switch in bed, so depending on her partner, she can play any of the three roles as needed during their cycle.)

💖 Hina is without a doubt, an alpha.

She carries herself like an alpha, she clicks her teeth to show irritation like an alpha, she’s quick to defend the people important to her like an alpha - there’s just no mistaking her for anything else. Whereas some might think this makes her arrogant or pushy (as some people do just in general thanks to her entire vibe) she’s actually quite gentle and encouraging and displays the softer alpha behaviors far more often than one would imagine upon first meeting her. Her “hell yeah I’m awesome” self confidence does not extend into “I’m better because I’m an alpha” territory, and she will, in fact, throw hands with other alphas with that attitude.

(Her ruts are… both mild and not. She doesn’t get ravenously rut drunk, but she does get even more mischievous and probably even kinkier than she normally is. She’s usually a pretty dom-leaning switch, and a brat when she bottoms, but during her rut she’s all top energy - whether that be directly or bottoming from.)

🧣- What outfit would they wear on a cute coffee shop date?

Hina likes being comfy while being cute, so for a coffee shop date she'd likely wear something just casual enough that it could pass for everyday wear, but at least styled in such a way that it's still obvious she put thought into it.

High-waited shorts or jeans, and baggy, tucked in shirts are a go-to for her; she'll also show up with her hair fully styled and probably a "natural look" face of makeup. (She 100% spent two hours getting ready.)

❤️ - What does your ocs dream date look like?

Honestly? Probably a coffee date.

Buy her dinner on a third or fourth date, sure, absolutely, but a coffee date is much more relaxed, less chance of being performative or an attempt to impress. She likes getting to know a person in a more casual setting first, usually during the day, and somewhere where anyone putting on an act would more than likely either stick out like a sore thumb, or take the bait and show their true colors early on.

So yeah. Wanna date Hina? Ask her out for coffee, split a piece of cake, then go for a walk and just get to know each other. Make her laugh and she's yours for the whole day~

Buttercup - Does your OC have any odd quirks/habits?

She's never been diagnosed properly, but she most certainly has ADHD - which causes her to sometimes be constantly moving. She bounces on her heels when excited, wiggles when nervous, and has an "idle animation" where she sways back and forth or swings her arms when standing around. All her pokemon are cat (or cat adjacent), so she'll sometimes comfort herself or even just verbally stim by quietly doing little singsong "nya nya nyas" under her breath.

Winterberry - Use one or more photos that encapsulates your OC’s clothing style.

Well first I should actually put up a picrew picture of her in general so you can see her hair. XD

Aaaaaan now for her style~

She's very bubble/kawaii-goth, with bright pinks and pastel greens, short-shorts, frilly skirts, and baggy shirts. (She also has a furry, neon pink jacket and it's her favorite clothing item in the world.)

Reina x Rawst

Reina is predictable in that at least part of her gift would be food of some kind. She knows some baking (like the xmas cake), but it's not her forte - however! she is from Kanto, so she might very well try and teach herself how to make homemade chocolates. (They might not be the prettiest, but by the legends, she will try! She'll even probably rope Pecha into being her quality control, with the promise that Pecha can take any of the less-than-perfect offerings she wants.)

If she suspects that Rawst would like it, she'll probably also give him a little potted plant (with symbolism, of course) that she grew just for him - possibly something like the Sweetheart/Lucky Heart Plant, that doesn't require too much attention and won't be chore for him to keep alive.

Hina x Pecha

Hina is a mix between wanting to go all out because Pecha is amazing and deserves all the nice, romantic things, and not wanting to overdo it. She'd probably do some stealthy field research all through January - invite Pecha to watch movies together so Hina can make notes of what romantic tropes Pecha responds best to, etc - and then plan accordingly.

All in all, it would probably be more of a whole experience than a single material gift - and it would absolutely be an all-day thing, too. Hina would probably show up with Pecha's favorite coffee order a then take her out for brunch somewhere they serve heart-shaped pancakes topped with little strawberries.

After that would probably be a walk through a park or maybe a little open-air market or something, especially if there was a stall where Hina could buy a dozen pink and red roses. (She'd have 100% scouted ahead the day before, with a backup plan for flowers if there weren't any left.) Later in the afternoon, Hina would take Pecha to the amusement park and try to win her the biggest bug-type plushie prize they had. No cheating or bribing the carnies, either - she needs to do this right!

And, of course, you can't have an amusement park date without a ride on the ferris wheel~ Gotta kiss your lady on top of the world, after all.

❣- A memory that leaves them laughing

Anything involving her pokemon, especially since half of them are no thoughts head empty. Her purugly, Treble, is a little bit tsundere, so when he started getting feelings for Diva, Hina’s meowstic, he tried so hard to pretend he didn’t that he wound up being completely obvious. Diva figured it out almost immediately, and the resulting chaos left Hina in stitches for months.

Diva and Treble are a mated pair now, and even have a baby espurr named Pianissimo (or, ‘Mo’), but the memory of those few months of stupid cat courtship still sends Hina into giggle fits every time she tells the story.

She loves her clowder of dumbasses~

💘- A memory that gets their heart pounding

As cliche as it sounds, her first kiss with Dorian. (And then later, her first kiss with Pecha.) She’s outwardly more well-adjusted than her sisters, and she’s got a healthy amount of self-confidence, but deep down she’s surprised when her feelings are returned. She’s also a romantic at heart, so things like first kisses and special dates make her blush and smile like mad - even as pop idle Hana no Hime.

💟- Wildcard!!!

One of Hina’s favorite memories - and arguably the best one from her childhood - is of her and her sisters sneaking into an indie battle of the bands at a local bar. They hid in the back and watched a bunch of aspiring metalcore bands go absolutely ham on stage, which is what led to all three of them having a lifelong affinity for the genre.

(It’s also what she’d describe as a perfect memory of the three of them together, getting to be kids and having fun; Hina vividly remembers what Reina and Kana looked like without the weight on their shoulders for once.)

It’s Saturday the 7th now. Her birthday was four days ago on Tuesday the 3rd - and Hina’s was Wednesday the 4th.
