#i thought the genome stuff was wicked interesting and the reveal of how it corrupted the scientist who abused it was awesome. its literally#awesome its one of my favorite things ever its so nasty and scary but i am not planning on reading whatever tf vanguard is so it as someone#whos being introduced to the concepts thru this book i understood it and honestly really enjoyed it#i love spock and chekov and sulu and they were our main starfleet characters which was great even if kirk and mccoy were barely in it and#didnt really do anything when they were. which was fine. i liked kirks little drama over matt decker bc thats one of my fav episodes so i#liked his and mccoys one conversation about it#but my favorite part of this whole fucking book was the KLINGONS#and thats BIG for me to say because usually im bored or even skip klingon pov chapters if i dont like them#there have been very few klingons who are good in these books but mara and her strike team are my absolute favs#and obviously mara isnt an oc shes in the original series but in this shes so fleshed out as are the other klingons that their chapters were#the best to me. its their determination and their good humor and their sense of whats right that i find really interesting#but there were some things i didnt like!#for example. we did not need an army of npc natives for spock & crew to slay so gruesomely it was actually gross#i was also uncertain if the natives were under actual mind control or just more scared of the godhead (cthulu guy) than they were of#starfleet and the klingons idk i just didnt like it. i think the godhead was insane enough on its on that the rows and rows of noname#nopersonality infantrymen was completely unnecesary#looking back when i reread this itll definitely just be from the time spock&co land on the planet to the time they leave#i really felt like mccoy and spock shouldve had some sort of conversation at the end as well#where kirk is endlessly pretty hopeful over things (as much as he broods in this book lol im talking in general) mccoy is much more likely#to agree with spock (in his own way). spock would go to him like Doctor. i have recently found that some things are inherently evil and#cannot be saved and that sometimes the only way out of a situation is to commit horribly unethical violence against living beings and mccoy#would be like i know whatyou mean spock sometimes jim makes me use the transporter#trek books

STAR WARS: THE OLD REPUBLIC // MAIN CHARACTERS
This is a list and introduction to my primary SWTOR OCs, some of which I have already posted about and some that are newer. I also redid this post to include better graphics, since I've remade some characters (transferring them all to one server) and since I just felt like being fancy.
Details will be below the cut, and will be written to correspond to the characters in order of top left to bottom right. Italicized introductory material comes from various canonical sources
༺═───────────────────────────────────────═༻
ALECRIC JETTHEN -> JEDI CONSULAR Human Male || Sentinel
Alecric is a great ancestor to a non-Legends/Canon Jedi Knight of mine, Marquin Jetthen, who dies protecting his padawan during Order 66.
For more than 20,000 years, the Jedi Order has worked to promote peace and balance in the Galactic Republic, but each new day brings with it a new threat, promising to rip the Jedi and the entire galaxy apart. If the Republic is to survive, it needs leaders and visionaries; it needs the Jedi Consular. Jedi Consulars channel the power of the Force for strength in combat and wisdom in diplomacy. Years of arduous training and meditation have sharpened Consulars’ minds to cut to the truth as cleanly as their Lightsabers cut through their foes. Intimate attunement with the deepest Force mysteries gives Jedi Consulars the insight and empathy to deftly handle charged conflicts that confound even the most cunning Senators and governors—but Consulars know when it’s time to talk and when it’s time to fight. When negotiations turn aggressive, Consulars demonstrate their gifts of foresight—anticipating and deflecting enemy attacks with fluid strikes from their dual-bladed Lightsaber. Before they can dispel the darkness in the galaxy, Jedi Consulars know they must first come to terms with the darkness within. There’s no avoiding the temptation to take shortcuts or even to use their knowledge for personal power; Consulars must constantly check their own motives. When tempted to step onto the path leading to darkness, Consulars must remember the tormented fate of the Jedi who have passed that way before. This is the only way they can unite the Jedi Order and the Republic and rally the troops to rescue the galaxy from the menacing darkness.
༺═───────────────────────────────────────═༻
AUKRII -> REPUBLIC TROOPER Iridonian Zabrak Female || Commando
Not all heroes carry Lightsabers. Some just have the will to fight. For decades, the armed forces of the Galactic Republic defended their civilization against the seemingly unstoppable Sith Empire. Despite countless setbacks, the men and women of the Republic military never backed down until the Senate ordered them to do so. These brave souls remain ready and willing to lay their lives on the line today. These Troopers are the embodiment of the Republic military’s highest aspirations—the most advanced fighting force in the galaxy. They are equipped to face any foe in any environment, but it’s not their gear that makes them tough—it’s their guts. The Troopers’ greatest weapons are their indomitable spirit, their unwavering sense of duty and their undying loyalty to each other and to the ideals that the Republic represents. In this age, the stakes have never been higher. The Republic must win or face extinction. The fate of the galaxy rests upon ordinary men becoming extraordinary heroes. This is the path of the Republic Trooper.
༺═───────────────────────────────────────═༻
AUSDEVA WHIAKI -> SMUGGLER Cyborg Male || Vanguard
Sometimes luck is more important than skill, but it never hurts to have both. Lawlessness has become common in the wake of the devastating war between the Republic and Empire. Shifting political allegiances and marauding pirates have made independent space travel a dangerous enterprise. Cut off from traditional supply routes, entire star systems waver on the verge of collapse. An adventurous spirit who’s not afraid to break a few rules can make a handsome profit hauling cargo to these hotspots, but it requires fast reflexes, fast wits and a fast draw with a blaster. Even then, the life of a Smuggler is always a gamble. Stacking up enemies as fast as they stack up credits, Smugglers only survive in this galaxy by being slick, sneaky and street-smart. Whether sweet-talking an attractive alien or bargaining with a hardened criminal contact, the Smuggler’s charm is a notorious asset, and often the ticket to turning around a deteriorating situation. If circumstances get too complicated, though, count on a Smuggler to always have an escape plan. Experienced in flying under the radar, Smugglers are amazingly elusive. Yet when backed into a corner, they quickly become cunning and often deadly combatants. Above all else, Smugglers make their own destinies. Despite their affinity for credits, Smugglers have been known to turn down lucrative opportunities when the clients have demanded too much control. Some Smugglers are even more discriminating—refusing to work with slavers and representatives of the Sith Empire. It’s a business where one is always looking for trustworthy allies, but they are often few and far between. Whether running an Imperial blockade or shooting down a double-crossing gangster, Smugglers are always flying by the seat of their pants. Every deal carries the chance for wealth beyond their wildest dreams… or an anonymous death in the harsh void of space.
༺═───────────────────────────────────────═༻
JAZAYLI STOWSHR -> JEDI KNIGHT Human Transmasc || Guardian
A symbol of hope in dark times, the Jedi Knight stands for the legacy of the Jedi Order—more than twenty-thousand years of protecting the Republic and keeping the peace across the galaxy. Jedi Knights have served as generals, guerilla fighters, and warriors for generations, with few able to challenge their legendary combat prowess. Through years of disciplined training and meditation, the Jedi Knight hones body and mind into perfect harmony. Combining the foresight of the Force with unrivaled reflexes and practiced physical precision, the Knight turns combat into an art form, gracefully executing acrobatic feats in tandem with elegant lightsaber tactics. A source of inspiration to allies and intimidation to adversaries, the Jedi Knight’s presence is welcome in any confrontation. The Order’s long history of fighting for justice has earned the trust of countless friends and the hate of innumerable enemies. Few, though, are foolish enough to challenge a seasoned Jedi Knight unless they have the skills and technology to even the odds. For many, the Jedi Knight is the guardian of a precious dream; a dream of peace, a dream of justice, a dream of a brighter future. The fate of the galaxy depends upon the Knight’s ability to keep this dream alive.
༺═───────────────────────────────────────═༻
KAVRIX A'NESONDE -> SITH INQUISITOR Dathomiran Zabrak Female || Sorcerer
Kavrix is the daughter to Romos, and tragically does not remember much about him due to being taken from their colony at a young age and under traumatic circumstances. If, or when, she learns that he failed to protect her, she would funnel that fury into her Dark Side powers.
The history of the Sith Empire is fraught with scheming politics and dark secrets—the lifeblood of the Sith Inquisitor. Treachery hides around every corner in the Empire’s dark corridors, and survival depends on an individual’s natural cunning and the will to manipulate and defeat their enemies and allies alike. The Inquisitor experiments with forbidden powers to not only survive in this cutthroat environment, but to excel and seize authority. Regardless of potential, few acolytes succeed in facing the rigorous trials to become Sith Inquisitors. Only the most determined acolytes attain such an achievement, but these Sith are often the ones to watch. Due to their manipulative genius, Inquisitors are skilled at exploiting both their enemies and their allies to further their own personal agendas. Channeling this Force energy, Inquisitors are capable of draining the life from their enemies and using it to feed themselves and their allies. Though their skills are varied and many, Sith Inquisitors are most feared for their ability to channel the energy of the Force, making them a spectacle to behold on the battlefield. Seething sparks of lightning explode from the Inquisitors’ fingertips and wrap their enemies in tendrils of pure Force energy. Because Inquisitors can twist the Force into lightning to stun, subdue, or destroy their foes, it has become their signature. Those who have experienced the sensation of the Inquisitor’s Force Lightning and survived forever recoil from the crackling sound of electricity. To reach the highest echelons of power, the Inquisitor needs more than Force Lightning and a razor-sharp mind. The most formidable Inquisitors dare to explore unorthodox practices by investigating the enigmas of the past and by unlocking new powers for themselves. The Force is a source of unlimited potential—a wellspring Inquisitors tap and bend to their will. Such intensity allows Sith Inquisitors to become architects of the Empire’s future… or simply the architects of their own destruction.
༺═───────────────────────────────────────═༻
LYRIJAN HACKSAW -> IMPERIAL AGENT Cyborg Female || Operative
The Empire dominates scores of star systems across the galaxy, but not through the power of the dark side alone. Behind the scenes, the cunning Agents of Imperial Intelligence track down and eliminate the Empire’s enemies—from intractable Republic senators to traitorous Imperial Moffs to bloodthirsty rebels with Republic ties. Imperial Agents must master the arts of infiltration, seduction, and assassination to advance the Empire’s causes; they face the opposition of a terrified galaxy and the capriciousness of their own Sith overlords. Imperial Intelligence cultivates a notoriously vast and efficient network of informants, enabling the Agent to navigate the galaxy’s political landscape with effortless suave. Naturally, the Agent’s allegiance to the Empire is without question, but great latitude exists for those so closely attuned to the Empire’s secret agendas—Agents often harbor their own mysterious motivations as well. Having pierced countless layers of intrigue, these spies know of conspiracies within conspiracies. Even close contacts find it hard to predict what an Imperial Agent will do until it’s done. The most elite operative within Imperial Intelligence is the ‘Cipher’ Agent—recruited and trained to carry out the most dangerous and sensitive assignments the Empire has to offer. Whether working undercover or carrying out assignments in broad daylight, the Cipher races along the razor’s edge of disaster, using carefully orchestrated tactics that leave little room for error—the smallest slip-up can be catastrophic. Each successful mission, however, shifts the galactic landscape in the Empire’s favor, and the Agent plays a supremely critical role in securing Imperial domination.
༺═───────────────────────────────────────═༻
ROMOS A'NESONDE -> BOUNTY HUNTER Dathomiran Zabrak Male || Powertech
Romos is the father of Kavrix, and sought out bounty hunting as a way to care for his family. When Kavrix was taken and sold into slavery, he devoted himself to his work, hoping one day to find her and be able to bring her home (by any means necessary).
Countless enemies stand in the way of the Sith Empire’s drive for domination. The Empire spares no expense eliminating these threats, offering massive bounties to employ the galaxy’s most lethal hunters. Earning a death mark from the Empire means a life spent in fear, constantly looking over one’s shoulder. It’s never a question if a Bounty Hunter will find you… only when. Both infamous and anonymous at the same time, Bounty Hunters are far more than mercenaries for hire—they’re heirs to a professional legacy—an ancient brotherhood with a glorious history. Tracking elusive targets across multiple star systems requires expertise, especially when the targets can be prominent, powerful, and often prepared for confrontation. Thrill seekers from all walks of life set out to become Bounty Hunters, but only the most hard-boiled survive in this competitive and deadly business. The Bounty Hunter’s path lies along the edge—the stakes are always high—and the path only leads two places, to a life of infamous glory… or to a quick and ignominious death.
༺═───────────────────────────────────────═༻
VLADYMIR VAN DAEMOUS -> SITH WARRIOR Human Male || Assassin
An unstoppable force of darkness, the Sith Warrior is entrusted with the task of destroying the Empire’s enemies and enforcing Sith domination across the galaxy. The Warrior channels the destructive emotions of fear, anger, and hatred to purge weakness from body and mind and become a being of pure, brutal efficiency. Destined to eradicate the incompetent chaos created by the Jedi, the Sith seek to rule the galaxy through power and intimidation. The armies of the Sith Empire are trained to accomplish this task, but they require the leadership of bold Sith Warriors—loyal and mighty overlords—who will drive them to conquest and victory. These cold-blooded conquerors waste no time with cunning manipulations and carefully-crafted plans. Sith Warriors crush their opponents and stride toward their goals with dreadful determination, leaving ruin and annihilation in their wake. Emanating awe and terror at every step, they accept nothing but absolute obedience from their followers. In turn, Sith Warriors can serve as loyal subjects to their own dark masters, often surprising enemies and allies with their rigorous honor and perfect discipline. Whether they align their ambitions with those of the Dark Council or become renegades in pursuit of their own goals, they are never far from the action. Their fierce hatred of the Jedi keeps Sith Warriors at the forefront of any conflict with the Republic. The passion to eradicate the Jedi Order fuels many of their actions, but that does not make them single-minded fools. Ultimately, the destiny of any Sith Warrior is his own to choose… and woe to those who would stand in his way.

introducing my first oc that isnt just my sona!!!
meet Subject: ARACHNID
Tumblr media Tumblr media
as with all of the other Subjects, they use their codename as their nickname, being ARACHNID in this case
ARACHNID's speech indicator will be A, for example (A: what is your problem???)
their gender is no and they go by they/them
a friend of LEVIATHAN and the other subjects involved in Operation Vanguard, they are a seemingly quiet, kind individual, however that is just a facade, and they are very much insane, filled with rage at the death of their parents, and capable of killing without hesitation or remorse
they are, however, highly strategic in their actions, and will only kill if there is an actual reason
they are capable of practically vanishing into shadows, only making themself visible when they are ready to strike, and can even hide in broad daylight. they have mastered the art of stealth, and if they dont want to be seen, they wont be seen
they were one of the few volunteers for Operation Vanguard, as the other Subjects were injured past the point of no return, and the Operation was intended to be able to restore them as well as enhance them
their signature weapons are poisoned daggers, and they frequently wield two or more. when they are desperate or feel the need, they can divert energy away from their arms to enhance the daggers' lethality at the cost of an arm or two temporarily
BACKSTORY
ARACHNID had always been a good kid. Was always able to listen, helped others who needed it, and managed a strong relationship with their parents. They always believed in karma, and that 'you get back what you give'. So, it was a rather rude shock when life went the exact opposite direction in a matter of minutes.
They were just going on a shopping trip with their dad, grabbing some groceries and some bonding time, when suddenly they heard a scream, that was quickly repeated several times until they saw a crowd of people desperately trying to escape from... something. Them being the curious kid they were, and hoping to be able to help the situation, ran over to the source of the fleeing crowd, followed by their father.
From there, they discovered people lying on the floor amidst a river of blood. And there was someone standing in the middle of the massacre, seemingly unarmed and unbothered by the bodies at his feet. As ARACHNID and their father came into view of the scene, the mysterious figure raised a finger, and a knife flew from thin air directly into their father's throat. He stood there, stunned, and then collapsed to the floor, dead.
At that point, ARACHNID's fight of flight response kicked in, and through the rage and shock of having their father murdered right in front of them, they chose fight. As the figure raised another finger, ARACHNID pulled the knife out of their father's throat and rolled out of the way of the knife that flew right past them and into the ground. Grabbing that knife too, they threw the one they were already holding directly towards the figure...
And the knife landed, sticking directly into the figure's head. The knife was too sharp to have simply been stopped by the skull, and it pierced through to the brain, killing him instantly. ARACHNID stood there, stunned by what had just happened, from the death of their father, to killing a stranger, and was clearly struggling to process everything.
After a few minutes of standing there, they knelt next to their father's corpse and whispered "don't worry, they'll never do this again. I made sure of it." The most shocking part now was how little they were bothered by taking a life. In all the stories they'd seen, they knew that murder was typically something that haunted the murderer for the rest of their days, but surprisingly, they felt nothing but pride in having avenged their father.
They took their time on the way home, taking a knife with them in case they needed it again. When they arrived, they used their father's keys to open the door, and there their mother was, standing there. Without missing a beat, she asked "where is your father? You two went out together, why is he not back? And what's with that knife?"
"There... there was a murderer," ARACHNID explained, "and we encountered him. He sent a knife straight through Dad's neck, and another one at me, which I dodged. I pulled the one out of Dad's neck and... I killed him. I avenged Dad."
"Wha- How? Huh? Ok, so let me get this straight. You encountered a murderer, he killed your father, and then you grabbed the knife used to kill your father and killed the murderer with it?"
"Yes. That's exactly what happened."
"Ok, well chances are that skill will come in handy, as without the money your father is making, we won't be able to afford to live here much longer. So I recommend that you pack what you want to keep, we'll sell what we don't need, and we'll try and survive long enough for me to be able to make enough money to support the both of us."
ARACHNID's father had been the sole supporter of the family financially, as he had a job that pays him more than enough to support the entire family on his own. Their mother had never needed to work after their marriage, so she wouldn't have enough experience to secure a job that could support both of them.
And that proved true, and try as she might, she was never able to secure a job. The two started eating less and less, selling more and more, until eventually they could not afford to continue to pay off their mortgage, and were evicted and sent to the streets. Over time, ARACHNID's mother began eating less and less, trying to support her child as much as possible instead of herself.
Her priorities ended up costing both of them though, as over time, ARACHNID watched their mother slowly starve, until eventually, she didn't wake up one morning, and they had to continue on their own. For days, ARACHNID lived solely off of what they could either steal or work for and were barely scraping by.
Eventually, they were offered help, a place to live, and food to eat, by the family of someone who would eventually come to be known as Subject: AVIAN. The two quickly became best friends as well as adopted siblings once everything was settled, despite being polar opposites of each other. While ARACHNID was a quiet, cold-hearted person when they needed to be, AVIAN was always extremely enthusiastic and bubbly, and she ended up being the only thing holding ARACHNID's sanity together.
Eventually, when AVIAN was involved in an explosion following a car accident, those around her knew that she would not have been able to survive without being entered into Operation Vanguard. With this knowledge, ARACHNID volunteered to join the Operation as well, allowing the researchers to gather information around the effectiveness of the cybernetic enhancements without being fatally wounded first.

🌻🌳 for Cogito-4 on the soft OC post?
🌳 What is your OC’s favourite way to relax after a stressful day? Do they have a favourite book to curl up with? A hobby? Or do they have a nice bubble bath and have an early night to bed?
Cogito's idea of relaxation is generally either just laying on the ground in the grass and talking with his ghost or going out with other guardians, preferably to a bar or restaurant. First one is what he does when he's alone, doing his research away from established outpost, and the second one, obliviously, is when he's working with fireteams as a guide (after strikes and Vanguard's operations).
I think that he mostly owns non-fiction books but he reads everything he can find in his local library in the City.
He tried growing his own food many times in his life but his stuff gets destroyed regularly so he gave up eventually.
He also plays Crucible from time to time but Shaxx tells him that he's too overpowered for the league he enjoys.
🌻 What little things do they notice about people or the world around them that make them happy? What tiny little treasures do they find in the normal every day that makes the world seem a little brighter for them?
He's always fascinated by alien and Earth life, even the smallest plants he can find. He loves buttercups! And small soft animals!
And being a geologist, he's also fascinated with minerals and rock formations. He often talks with Corsairies and Techeuns about crystals or measures Vex structures.

OC Introduction: Kris
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Basic Info
Name: Kris (he doesn't use a surname; if pressed he'll make something up on the spot) Aliases: Eir (forest name), Gale Age: 125 at the start of A Realm Reborn Pronouns: he/him (cisgender) Sexual Orientation: Demisexual/Panromantic (masculine leaning) Birthday: 23rd Sun of the 3rd Astral Moon (May 23rd) Current Occupation: Warrior of Light Affiliations: Scions of the Seventh Dawn, Lente's Tears
No one knows too much about Kris before he joined the Scions and (begrudgingly) became the Warrior of Light, and when asked, he'll say he was an adventurer before coming to Eorzea and quickly changes the subject. However, if you manage to find the right people and ask the right questions, you may learn about a former member of Lethe's Tears named Gale that matches his description.
Gale was originally from a small village in the Golmore Jungle, where he became a Wood Warder, as is the duty of all male Viera. However, he eventually left the jungle after an incident resulted in his closest friend being banished from the village.
After leaving the jungle, Gale made a new life for himself in Dalmasca. The Viera finds his friend, and the two of them work together, gathering information and resolving "problems" in the royal city's underbelly.
Eventually, when Gale and Laurent's mentor passes, they decide to try and turn over a new leaf and run her tavern. However, they did not know that she was an agent for the Saraab, and they are unwittingly roped into continuing her work--gathering information and taking care of any threats to the royal family that arise.
When the Garleans attacked and occupied Dalmasca, Gale joined the Resistance efforts, becoming a battle medic and taking care of those injured on the front lines. However, shortly after the Calamity, he begins having strange dreams--dreams of a crystal and the need to travel to Eorzea.
With the strange dreams came the strange power of the Echo, giving the Rava increased physical and aetherical abilities, as well as visions. As time passed, the visions became more frequent and debilitating, forcing him to leave the Resistance suddenly and heed the crystal's call, heading to Ul'Dah to follow his destiny...
Battle Proficiencies
Canonical Classes: Archer (Pre ARR-HW), Dark Knight (HW-SB), Red Mage (ShB-EW), Bard (EW) Weapon Proficiencies: Bow, Daggers, Greatsword Other Skills: Stealth, First Aid, Basic White and Black Magic
Anyone that pays attention to how Kris fights will notice the results of his long years of Wood Warder training. Be silent, strike quickly, and keep moving--all important for survival in the harsh Golmore Jungle. Even as a Dark Knight, he'll only wear light armor and stay mobile, choosing to surprise his enemies with his agility while holding their attention.
What people may not notice at first is that Kris also is very proficient with magic, thanks in part to the Echo. His training as a battle medic and basic conjury also comes in handy from time to time--although Kris prefers no one gets hurt in the first place, so he'll often take the vanguard.
Other Abilities and Hobbies
Music - Kris is able to play the harp particularly well. He also has a nice singing voice, though he's not one to sing in front of most people (even as a Bard).
Cooking - Kris really enjoys cooking, and learning how to make new food. During his time as an adventurer, he's learned a lot about different types of cuisine and is remarkably skilled at making a variety. If Kris lived in a more peaceful world, perhaps he would have been a Culinarian instead.
Botany - Considering Kris's love of cooking and his knowledge of first aid, it's not surprising that the Rava knows a lot about flora and fauna–what plants are suitable for remedies, which can be used to spice up a meal, and so on. He also knows a lot about flowers, more than one might expect.
Misc.
While Kris is very good at adapting to any social situation, he's not book-smart in the least. If a conversation turns to more scholarly matters, there's no chance he understood anything that was said. This also makes him very bad at anything technology-related
Kris has a skewed moral compass (think chaotic good)–but has the social awareness and aptitude to know not to act on that as the Warrior of Light. His views align pretty closely with the values of Dark Knights (which is probably not shocking, since he eventually becomes one).
Kris is a cisgender male, but he doesn't place any weight in gender roles or any preconceived notions of what a 'man' or 'woman' should do or look like. He'll present more feminine when the mood strikes him.

11, 32 and J for Omen! For no reason.
11. How do they cope with confusion (seek clarification, pretend they understand, etc)?
omen is very often confused, and generally prioritizes different ways of handling it depending on the situation. there's a whole swathe of customs and social norms and references that are impenetrable to xem, and xe will just leave those as mysteries to be observed but not waded into. there's simply too many of them to bother with. if something is actively unfolding and xe doesn't understand what's going on or why it's happening, the best thing to do is sit back and observe
it's conversations that get tricky, and xe will pursue clarification to an exhausting level sometimes (yet another reason xe wouldn't do well under the vanguard. what do you mean you don't want your strike setup questioned until xe can accept all the reasoning for it). mostly xe wants to get at why something is being said to xem specifically - what is the relevance, why is this a part of the conversation. as soon as xe grasps a connection, xe backs off
32.  Do they have a go-to story in conversation? Or a joke?
not so much a story (xe isn't a story-teller and relates things a little too abruptly to be entertaining, though boon can and will prompt xem into relaying xyr experiences sometimes if they think it's valuable or interesting) but Many, Many Anecdotes about anything local xe has been observing. usually these are ranked by what xe has most recently been studying, proximity to their current location, and the season, and alien flora and fauna are of course also counted
not that most people want to hear about xyr latest findings on hive borer worm patterns when left unattended in the cosmodrome but -
J) Did you have to manipulate or exclude canon factors to allow them to create their character?
I am excluding every oc from the canon plot at all times, to start with
I can't remember if I'd decided on omen being an AI before felwinter was revealed, but even before I'd conceptualized that, I definitely thought of xem with an emphasis on not acting like a typical exo. not needing to move or even idly fidget for very long times, eating and sleeping far less than usual. admittedly I don't even have a good reason for why omen sleeps at all, so perhaps it is some sort of hard-coded body requirement even without the threat of DER looming, or helping cycle all xyr systems and prevent sensory overloads...?
of course I am also stretching the seed of silver wings to fit my cool ideas, even if so much of it is not written out yet outside of tumblr and discord posts
this momentous yet transient plot object can fit so much weird shit in it!!!
but I didn't have to really bend history or canon events given how loose the timeline is. saying ishtar experimented with AI exos and having omen as an early dark age risen easily slots in

(WARNING: Long post)
So, one of my favorite things about the Destiny Tumblr community is the fact that everyone has their own stories and headcannons for their own Guardians. One of the things I remember from early Tumblr times are the massive lists of character creation questions people would create for OCs for whatever fandom they were a part of. So I decided to put together a list of character questions for those who like building their Guardians persona!
These questions range from Destiny questions, generic character questions, and questions for world building(specifically for your Guardians). If you have more than one Guardian, just copy the list as may times you need!
Feel free to add more questions! But please make sure to add them to this original post, so that way it is easier for everyone to find all the questions in one place.
The questions are in no particular order, so it may seem a little scattered(sorry!). I'm currently writing this at 5:16am. Anyway...Have fun!!
Tumblr app is finally working right for once, so all the questions will be in the read more!

Behind Tessa’s design
Lost my tablet pen recently so i wont be able to draw till a new one arrives, so i had an idea to describe my design process behind my OCs, believe not, there WAS some thought put into their designs. This is Tessa for those that dont know
Tumblr media
check the read below for more details!
Lets start with their race, Awoken. The reason I choose Awoken was because i think it best fit the role Young Wolf plays. Since forsaken, YW has been on that thin line between light and dark; gambit, weapons of sorrow, stasis etc. They have used powers related to either side of the conflict and i thought an Awoken would fit them. Since Awoken came about due to a singularity created by the power of light and darkness, it fits how YW is teetering the line between light and darkness. How about class? Titan. In universe many of the classes fit their stereotypical roles (not every guardian does obviously, but its seems to be a majority case). Warlocks are scholars and philosophers. Hunters are lone wolves and overconfident. Titans are defenders and muscle. So why now make my YW a warlock? well in the few scenes we ever get of YW of them we see they don’t have the knowledge you’d expect from warlocks, they are either confused or don’t say anything, it seems like ghost is the “brains” of the two, for lack of a better word. So why not make my YW a hunter?  We see YW act alone a lot which fits a hunters role, but there also a few scenes where you AND your fireteam will spawn in together.
Tumblr media
plus its canon that YW has done all the raids with TEAMS, and considering how dangerous all the raids are, i doubt they’d team up with any old guardians for a dangerous situation, so they would need people they know and trust at the very least, like a fireteam. which hunters aren’t usually known for having. So why Titan? Titans are known as defenders of the last city, most of the well known guardians that are considered heros ARE titans! Saint-14, Zavala, Saladin, Sloan, and Shaxx are ones that come to mind. Our guardian is the most reliable and called upon guardian to date, the vanguard relies on us to fight the biggest threats. So i think having my YW be a titan like the past heroes fits perfectly.
Tessa’s personality I try to keep my YW as close to the personality of YW that we see in game, even though Bungie made it so the main character is open ended so people can make their own characters, they still gave YW a personality in lore and voice lines. YW is direct, quiet with a little bit of snark to them. In lore they are mostly just referred too and not talked with (except for hawkmoon lore) but everyone talks about them fondly, like they like the YW or atleast trusts them. Which shows that YW is trustworthy and kind to some degree. These aspects I made sure to keep for Tessa’s personality. I’ve also incorporated many well know player aspects into their personality as well. Example; may players experience FOMO when in comes to destiny content, which leads to them grinding to make sure to get the loot before it goes away. For Tessa, they “grind” by constantly volunteering for strikes and patrols because they are afraid of missing out on the next biggest threat and that they will be too late to stop it. While players grind for loot for better stats for builds, Tessa “grinds” for loot to help their fight for the harder battles to come.
One aspect of their personality that is original is that they have anxiety issues. with how often everyone relies on them, they have this image of themselves being a “perfect hero” and because of this, they always push themselves to be better, be stronger, be the hero that everyone relies on. This has caused an issue where they are always harsh on their action, whenever they die and get rezzed or a plan fails, the take the full front of the blame.
It doesn’t help that an aspect of themselves is that look up to Saint-14 and took inspiration from Saints actions back in the day. So they are always trying to be as good as he was, which ironically, from the events of season of the Dawn, Saint is also inspired by Tessa, trying to be as good as them. Tessa’s armor look
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this is an updated look as of WQ
Yes there was reasoning behind the armor i picked and shaders i choose, First and foremost when i was looking for armor that fit Saints helmet, i wanted something round, not with too much detail and knightlike. Theres sadly not that many options (and i also missed some armors during my hiatus from the game after forsaken) I didn’t want anything too sharp or angular because I wanted Tessa to be seen as friendly looking, but looked armored enough to block a tank shell. The armor i picked i think helped convey that idea. I wanted a knightly look because, at least in fiction, knights are honor bound protectors which would fit with Tessa have a shield to protect the city and using the claymore sword. Using Caydes mark was a given, considering Cayde is probably one of the few characters in game that was friends with YW or at least close aquiantinces. My color choice i wanted was White/silver, Gold/yellow, blue/light blue and Purple. Purple is because it relates to void and the other colors are often associated with the Traveler, which fits with Tessa’s goal to protect it by wearing colors aligned with it. (Plus i just like white, gold and purple combos) Why give YW a name? Why Tessa? The main reasoning i wanted to give them a name is just a way to distinguish them from other guardians, actually Tessa didn't have a name for years. They were okay with going by Guardian or whatever titles they were given, as long as they could help out; it didn't matter what they were called. Until, during forsaken, an awoken corsair recognized them and called them by their name; Tessa tried to ask more, but the Corsair refused to elaborate, and Tessa hasn't been able to find her again to ask further questions. Tessa has never considered themselves more than "the guardian," and hearing their possible real name tells them that they aren't just an evil force-stopping machine, that they were a person before. They now go by Tessa but only really by Nora and sometimes Joker; Nora wants to call them Tessa because it's more personal, and she wants to help Tessa relax and not have to be "the guardian" 24/7.
(Also Tessa is just a corruption of my main OCs name Artess so thats another reason lmao) I think ive covered all the major points, atleast all i can think of at the moment. If I ever think of anything else to add, i will, I hope you all enjoyed this deepdive into my creation of Tessa! Rest assured I will be doing posts for my other characters as well.
Reblogs are read and appreciated <3

CW: Disease Mention
Demon Slayer OC Breathing Style
Plague Breathing
(For what it’s worth, when I first came up with this, I completely forgot that we were in a pandamonium, so the name of this breathing style isn’t meant to be allegorical…! But I did have fun planning this out.)
Combination of Insect, Water, and Earth Breathing Techniques.
Plague Hashira: Shigekazu Sakaguchi
(Inspired by the two Japanese immunologists that studied the nature of apoptosis or the natural processes that lead to or signal cell death.)
Designed to meld the precision of toxins with the widespread effects of natural disasters, Plague Breathing diverges heavily from its Insect Breathing ancestor. It incorporates more insidious strikes, misdirection, and miasma that can do significant harm to both friend and foe. Practitioners of Plague Breathing must be mindful of that those around them are indeed fiends they wish to attack and usually act as the vanguard or rear guard to ensure their techniques aren’t swept afield of their comrades.
Shigekazu and the Demon Slayers he trains use two separate nichirin swords, an odachi to spread their viral influence and a porous shobu dagger to pacify active microbes and ‘immunize’ the areas where their techniques were utilized. This dagger can also aid in healing any humans caught in an ability’s influence but, as each poison is laced with at least some wisteria, the same cannot be said for repentant demons.
Plague Breathing swordsmen are encouraged to wear vented, wisteria-lined masks to train themselves to use small, short breaths rather than the deep inhales of other breathing techniques.
Number of Forms: 7
First Form: Delirium Tremens - Two rising slashes from the odachi angled towards the liver and nose. Even if this move fails to deliver decisive damage, the resulting intoxicant residue impairs the senses of most demons.
Second Form: Day Fever - A plunging attack that spreads a cresting wave of fast acting bacteria that, upon inhalation or injection, radiates intense heat likened to summer sunlight.
Third Form: Sundown Consumption - Taking advantage of the odachi’s favorable length, this whirling slash moves from opponent to opponent, striking their vitals with high loads of tubercle bacillus.
Fourth Form: Saint Vitus’ Demise - Obscuring themselves with speed and separate arced slashes to maneuver the opponent in position, four shanks from the shobu are applied to the elbows and knees in attempt to debilitate further retaliation as the underlying nerves misfire.
Fifth Form: Temperate Mania - After stabbing the shobu into the earth, several whirling dervish slashes are performed on the spot, fanning a virus that overloads a typical demon’s bloodlust, making them thirst for the blood of fellow demons.
Sixth Form: Tsubame Inanition - Three simultaneous strikes for the head and arms. These strikes are hemophilic and draw forth vast quantities of bloody from a demon’s body if it doesn’t kill them outright.
Seventh Form: Mortification - A two-hand lateral crescent strike with the strength to fell trees reserved for opponents with countermeasures to decapitation. Anything in its wake blackens and perishes, including flora. If not performed perfectly, this form can break or even shatter the user’s arms.
Zeroth Form: Snowcrest Air - Wicking the shobu on the wind, all active maladies, toxins, and miasmas shrivel and fall to the ground, radiating a menthol-petrichor odor. This form is often used in three ways: to clear an area for life to return to an oftentimes despoiled atmosphere, to aid a fellow demon slayer who was too close to a technique, and to help other practitioners of different breathing techniques to take longer and stronger breaths that empower their moves.

im bored so i dump a bunch of info about my destiny ocs
Fireteam Penta(???)
Aurora
A human hunter and a freelance lightbearer or whatever. She only helps the Vanguard because a girl gotta get glimmer from somewhere. how else will she eat
Her ghost is named Oxford, primarily because he doesn't shut the fuck up and is a big fucking nerd. He uses big words like "preposterous" and "flabbergasted" and "oh-my-god-watch-out-for-the-legionary-behind-you". Despite all this, Oxford has a connection or something to Aurora and they work well together
Aurora wanted to know about her past at first but has since abandoned the thought of pursuing it. At the end of the day, she mostly tries to live a normal life and not being a guardian
She wears a red scarf wherever she goes. Comfort scarf!
Literally a catgirl. she has cat ears
Valkyrie-6
An exo warlock who's a masochist. There's something wrong with her tbh
Her entire fashion game is between victorian era vampire x biblically accurate angel
Her favorite weapon is the exotic handcanon, Crimson
She has faint memories of a life during the golden age, but it's hard to remember. There's something about being in an auditorium, in front of a blur of bodies watching her. There's music playing. She doesn't bother thinking about it much
Winchester
An awoken titan who vanished when Mars was taken by the Darkness. When Mars returned, she was found by other guardians unharmed(?). To her, no time has passed. She doesn't know what happened.
Probably the youngest of the fireteam? Who knows
Her ghost, Ayre, named her Winchester after they saw she was like super good at scout rifles and stuff. dmt gang
Winchester would probably have been a hunter if she wasn't a titan. She likes to be alone most of the time and go off on her own to different places. but also she likes punching
she's tiny. she has a big shield. she strike
Her eyes also glow a bright green, kinda like Eris Morn
also for reference, i dont know much about destiny either lol

Short Story: Giving
I was doing strikes to complete the 2 vanguard memory fragment quests, and got a popup that I completed something, to return to the exo stranger for the reward. I was confused, what did I do??? I still have my quests to complete lol. And I forgot the anniveristy launched, and got tossed into that. I'm way behind... ;-; Anyways, enjoy!
Destiny belongs to Bungie.
My guardian oc (Alex Ridley) belongs to me.
Repost with credit.
7. Giving
Transmitting to the Beyond, Alex landed in the snow and shivered. It was absolutely freezing, more so when winter came by. She didn’t know why or how, it felt colder than before. This isn’t why she was here, Alex walked through the snow. It rose up on her boots, seeping into it. The exo ahead didn’t move from her spot, though Alex knew the Exo Stranger noticed her presence, and kept her watch on the Pyramid.
“Care for a break?”
“There isn’t time for one, not until the threat of Darkness is gone.” The Exo Stranger turned to her. “Alex, what can I do for you?”
“A moment of your time, and also I completed something?”
The Exo Stranger let out a huff, shaking her head though her white optics glowed with amusement. “It’s defeating enemies with Stasis.”
“Ah, I was doing Strikes- easy enough.” Alex held out her hand and PBJ flashed onto the palm, shell rotating. He let out a puff when the cold wind hit him. “I got something for you, I know it’s December and with more problems arising… I thought I might as well celebrate the holiday early.”
PBJ transmitted the small box into Alex’s hand, disappearing soon after when the wind picked up again and blew snow at them. Alex was glad for her helmet, or the cold, whatever would cover up her blushing face. “Here… it’s small, but I thought you might like it.”
The Exo Stranger took the small box. She pulled at the blue ribbon, taking the lid off, and there laid a keychain; it was small, with black and purple beads going to a charm. The charm was wolf howling, and on the back said: courage. It reminded her of Alex. She looked up, gazing at the hunter warmly. “It’s lovely, thank you.”
“I’m glad you like it… uh, the shopkeeper said it would be good to give- you know as a good luck charm and um, uh…” Alex trailed off, opting to stare at the snowy ground than her. “I- the shopkeeper also said the wolf means family. So, now the bad ending can’t happen. You got a good luck charm.”
“It… it doesn’t work like that.” The Exo Stranger smiled, “but I appreciate the gesture.”
“Yeah-yeah.” Alex scolded herself, she was acting like she was a kid with a crush, this wasn’t how she had planned it. She couldn’t help it, she wanted this to be perfect. The Exo Stranger had enough stress in her life. “I just wanted to make things easier, you know, not as stressful.”
“Alex,” the Exo Stranger came closer and leaned her forehead against Alex’s, “I don’t think I’ve seen you this flustered before. And I’ve seen you do very embarrassing things.”
“I can’t help it, you… you make it feel like it’s going to be okay.” Alex mumbled, taking this moment in. Duty came first in their life, the Darkness and the threat of Savathun getting closer and closer everyday. “I’m sorry I haven’t come to see you.”
The Exo Stranger sighed. “Then I’m sorry too. I have been busy gathering the latest of Clovis’ Stasis data, trying to unlock its secrets. The other guardians have helped a lot.”
“I’m glad… there’s been a lot going on. I got stuck in the Eternity with Xur, somehow I impressed a horse.”
“...a horse?”
“A space horse.”

Making New Friends - a Manticore Story
Hi all, this is my entry for day 2 of the DMC OC week. Story below the cut.
Lady stood in front of the old hospital, where her mission was supposed to take place. She looked up at it, trying to  get a glimpse through the windows, but it was too dark to make anything out. No surprises there: the place had been abandoned years ago, and only now had some crazy rich guy decided it was worth too much money to be left alone. That was what she was here for, but it wasn’t that simple. Apparently her employer didn’t want to take any risks on this job and had hired a second devil hunter to help out. Lady was tempted to just go in and blow the demons away herself, but her employer had insisted that the two go in as a pair and the reward being offered was too big to risk pissing him off. So she waited, and moments turned to minutes. She’d been waiting there a quarter of an hour before a shadow crept over her and she turned around to see the largest man she’d ever met, burlier than any demon she’d ever come across and unbelievably hairy. Which made the big dumb grin on his face an incredibly bizarre sight.
“Hi! You’re the hunter I’m supposed to be working with, right? Sorry I’m late: I got lost and had to find my way back to somewhere I knew. I’m Leon, what’s your name?” The giant extended a hand and Lady, momentarily stunned by the strange man’s sudden appearance and extreme cheeriness, shook it. “Lady.” She said, after a brief pause. “That’s a fun name, like the dog in that one movie.” “…Sure, whatever. Now come on, we’ve got a job to do.” Lady marched past him and into the hospital, drawing a pistol and switching on the attached tactical light. Leon followed, babbling about how much “fun” the job was going to be and asking inane questions about her. She was used to other devil hunters being cocky, but this was new. This one was…friendly. And dumb. She wasn’t sure she liked it. She tuned out most of it and gave the questions noncommittal answers – though something she couldn’t figure out bothered her when he asked about her rocket launcher – until they found a stairwell and Lady suggested they split up. Lady made her way to the top floor and would check there while Leon would check the ground floor, then they’d meet up in the middle and sweep that floor as a team. Leon agreed and sprinted off, and it was only then that she realised why the rocket launcher comment had bothered her.
“Wait, Leon! Where are your weapons?!” she yelled out, but he had already rounded a corner and didn’t respond. Lady gave an exasperated sigh and walked upstairs: she knew she could take on whatever was here by herself, and if that idiot got himself torn apart it would be his own fault. The guy didn’t even have a light source on him, he was so unprepared. Someone like that was just going to feed whatever demons he came across and make the other hunters’ jobs harder.
The top floor was swarming with demons. They looked a lot like the Hell Prides she and Dante had fought during the Temen-Ni-Gru incident a couple of years ago, but they were taller and seemed to hold themselves steadier: Lady supposed they must have been training themselves after the two kicked their asses so hard back then. Not that they were much trickier to take out: a hail of gunfire tore through them like paper, without any need for Kalina Ann. In just a few minutes she’d cleared out the floor and counted up the red orbs of the fallen demons: she’d need a clear number to figure out how much she was getting paid. She counted fifty demons worth of orbs, a worryingly large amount. It meant there was a commander of some kind nearby, making the place a hotbed of demonic activity: if she wanted the place cleared out, she’d have to take out that commander. It was a shame about Leon, but there was no way an unarmed man could take on something like that. It was as she reached the stairs, however, that she heard a bestial roar from below.
Lady sprinted down the stairs to find the source of the roar. She came down to a large empty ward on the ground floor and saw a pair of vicious-looking demons. One was a lanky skeletal figure with purple tendrils sprawling across its body, holding a pair of what looked to be scythe blades. It was kind of like a Hell Vanguard, but it seemed like they had been training too. She guessed this was the commander. The other, however, was something she hadn’t seen before. It was some kind of massive leonine humanoid, with great wings, horns and a scorpion tail. One of the commander’s blades was embedded in the beast’s chest, which was covered in glowing golden scars.
The lion-thing seemed to laugh – Lady caught a glimpse of row upon row of razor-sharp teeth – before rearing back and slamming into the commander with its horns. This appeared to stun its adversary, which stumbled back as the lion drew back a fist and slammed it forward, the fist seeming to encase itself in rock as it slammed into the commander. The commander flew backward, the tendrils around the blade in its enemy’s chest snapping free as it was launched into the wall behind it.
The commander got back up, the tendrils and blade regrowing, but the lion had already pulled the blade from its chest and was on all-fours now, launching itself towards the commander and laying into it with claws that shone with brilliant light, leaving trails of radiance in the air behind them. The beast slashed and mauled, dodging all incoming blades with lightning-fast reflexes, before it resumed a bipedal position and took what looked to be a genuine combat stance, the kind you’d see a martial artist take. It threw expert punches and kicks, not quite as fast as when it was on all-fours or as strong as when it was impaled on the blade, but with a level of precision and skill that showed that this demon was more than just some raging animal. It struck the softest parts of the commander’s body, winding it and leaving it vulnerable, before lancing forward with its tail and striking the commander in the chest. The stinger at the end of the tail seemed to pulse outward with golden demonic energy, blasting through the commander’s chest and leaving it to fall to the ground and crumble into orbs.
It was then that she saw something unexpected. The lion demon, this ferocious monstrosity that she had just seen demolish a demon commander, started to cheer and dance with joy. “Yeah, I did it! I’m the best!” she heard it yell, and though the voice was distorted and growling, she could still recognise it as the one that had been asking her all those questions just a few minutes ago. Sure enough, there was a golden flash and there stood Leon, that same idiotic grin on his face and looking none the worse for wear. She put a hand to the shotgun at her side, but paused. This was a demon: just a couple of years ago she’d have put a gun shop’s worth of buckshot in his skull without a second thought. But this wasn’t a couple of years ago: her time in Temen-Ni-Gru had shown her that even demons had the potential to be kind, and this one certainly didn’t look like he was planning to hurt any innocents any time soon. Hell, he was taking down monsters that would put innocents in danger. So she stepped away before Leon could see her and went back to the stairs, pretending that she had just gotten there when Leon arrived. She said nothing about what she had seen, just checked that he was okay and carried on with the mission.
There were only a few demons on the middle floor: the pair wiped them out in no time at all. Leon was quieter than before, but still seemed happy as ever as they headed back out and went to report their success. As they were walking, Leon spoke up. “Thanks for not shooting me back there.” Lady stopped, surprised. “Wait, you knew I was there?” Leon shrugged. “I smelled a human nearby, figured it was you.” A pause. “Wait, that was you, right?” Lady couldn’t help but chuckle at that. “Yes, that was me. Look, I misjudged you earlier: it’s clear now that you know what you’re doing. I still wish you’d take the job a little more seriously, but it’s not like you’re the only one who doesn’t. I guess I just want to say I’m sorry for being so dismissive earlier.” Leon let out a deep, bellowing laugh. “You don’t have to apologise for anything! We’ve already bonded over fighting demons: that means we’re friends now!” Lady smiled at that. “If you say so. Hey, thinking of friends I do know another hunter who’s also a demon. Well, half demon, but I figure you guys might have something in common. Head down to Devil May Cry some time: he could do with the company.” Leon’s face lit up even more than normal. “Yeah, that sounds great! It’ll be so much fun, like…like...like something that’s really fun!“ Lady smiled to herself as Leon started rattling off ideas for fun activities they could do together. Well, why not? Dante could get pretty lonely sometimes, even if he wouldn’t admit it. Meeting someone that cheery might be good for him. The rest of the trip was pretty uneventful: they reported their success, got their pay and went home. Lady still didn’t know this Leon guy too well, but she was pretty sure that people would be a lot safer with him around.
Author’s note: Manticore got lost on the way to visiting Dante and ended up at Devil May Fry, a poorly-named fried chicken place on the other side of town. He never did end up meeting Dante, but the chicken was nice at least.

The backstory i have written ~~so far~~ for my beloved DnDestiny OC Pyriks!
More below the read more
Pyriks: First life.
Pyrkis had never known true peace. All their life they and their House had been on the run, trying desperately to survive in a hostile world. They were House Dusk. A House relatively new to Guardians, but to the Eliksni it had existed for decades. Underground and hidden. Away from the prying eyes of other Houses but always welcoming to new members. Pyrkis was brought into the House by their birth parents. They died trying to get Pyriks to safety after deserting, escaping from House Devils. And their effort, their sacrifice was rewarded. Their only surviving child lived. Their legacy could be carried on.
But sadly their sacrifice was not to be remembered by Pyriks. Being a mere hatchling under so much stress made remembering such early memories difficult if not entirely impossible for them. Not that they ever tried to remember them anyway. They had 2 loving fathers who took them in when they were all alone in the world. Not knowing better and never being told otherwise, they just assumed these were their actual parents. Their names were Syfaks and Bykis and they were the people Pyriks loved most.
Pyriks was barely 17 winters old when the Cabal invaded the Solar System and the fighting started. The House had to be protected but Pyrkis was too young to fight. Instead, they offered to learn to smith, to repair, to create for the fighters and the rest of the House. So that they might count upon the armor they don, and return home safe. And it did seem to have it's effect. The better Pyriks grew in their skills the more Eliksni came home alive, the less were brought back lost to them.
And this continued for about 3 more winters. The fighting became more prominent in the lives of the House members and fewer and fewer returned home. The Barons tried to tell them that it was the armor's fault, that the weapons were not good enough. And perhaps they were right, in a way at least. All throughout the system there was talk of a new House. A House that spoke of peace for those who wished it. And there were those that wished for it. They were tired of the fighting, of having to wear the armor.
And Pyriks and their dads were too.
Syfaks and Bykis found an answer to their wishes, or, at least a partial one. Radio chatter was hot with word of The Spider, the leader of a House on the Tangled Shore. There was still talk of fighting, but no word of it being with Guardians. It was their safest bet of survival and so they took it. They managed to contact an associate and set up a rendezvous point during a supply run. But their communications with the associate were discovered by one of the Baronesses and she wished to make an example out of them to teach the rest what trying to leave would lead to.
But she would not do so in the safety of their home. No, she would give them hope. Hope for a better future. She would let it grow right until it was within reach. And then she would take it all away. Or at least, that’s how the plan was supposed to work out. But whether you call it fate, or maybe even destiny [Hehe], other plans were made for Pyriks and their family.
The day had arrived. They were packing whatever they could carry but wouldn’t be missed and said their last goodbyes to those close to them. Once they were done they left. They gave the place they called home for so long a last look and then turned away, hoping that they would never have to look back.
They made their way to the rendezvous point and met with Spider’s Associates. After some talking about what would be expected of them and moving what little stuff they had into the Skiff that was going to bring them to their new home. Right as they were putting the last of their belongings on the ship the Baroness saw her chance to strike, and so she did. She and a small group of subordinates opened fire upon the Skiff and it’s crew. The crew responded in kind while trying to get everyone safe inside the ship ready to fly off.
Wounded and scared, Pyriks barely escaped the crossfire. But their troubles did not end here. They were bleeding profusely, Ether was escaping from the wounds, they were not long for this world. With nowhere to go and nowhere to return to they fled into a nearby forest hoping that they would not be followed and discovered by their old House.
They kept running until they could run no more. Their body gave out, the last of their ether spent. They slumped down against a tree. The woods were quiet, save for the birds singing the songs of a new day. But those sounds slowly dulled as Pyriks lost focus, their eyes turning a dull grey. They died from violence, but surrounded by peace, witnessing their last sunrise.
Pyriks: First resurrection.
A year had passed since then, their body, or what was left, was overgrown with plants but continued to enjoy undisturbed peace. Until a small Ghost who was still looking for her one, her chosen, was scanning her way through the forest. She was scanning every rock she could see, every log or mound where she thought a person might be.
And so she came upon this shield of flowers and thorns, protecting a body from the rest of the world. But this would not do for the Ghost. she could sense the Light within the body. She connected with it and knew in an instant that this body would soon become the Guardian she had been searching for since her creation.
She gathered the Light around herself and like a guiding star, brought this body back to the path of life. But where she was expecting a human, awoken or exo to be, instead appeared an Elkisni, reborn in the Light, witnessing their first sunrise.
Pyriks: First meeting.
To say that she was shocked would be an understatement. She had never even heard of it being a possibility. Though she had been away from the City for quite a while, she was probably just out of the loop, she thought to herself. But never mind that. She had found her own Guardian and she would protect them no matter what.
The Ghost asked her Guardian for a name to call them, but the Guardian did not react. Their eyes were blue, but still dull, dull with pain and grief long since forgotten, but still felt. It was quiet until the Guardian spoke for the first time. "Pyriks" they said. No explanation followed, but their pained expression spoke a thousand words.
The Ghost nodded and told them that that was a fine name. But no reaction came. The Ghost decided to bump into Pyriks at a seemingly reasonable speed and managed to shake them out of their waking dream. The Ghost was about to ask if Pyriks would like to name her too, but a Robin's chirp caught Pyriks' attention first. What was that sound they asked her. "A bird's chirp" she replied. "...Chirp. I like that sound. I will call you that'' They said.
Pyriks: First City.
After getting to know each other a bit, Chirp proposed the idea to go to the Last City. With nowhere else to go Pyriks agreed and followed Chirp to what would become their new home.
Chirp managed to make contact with the City and explained their situation. With no way to make it to the City on foot all the way from the EDZ she requested for her and Pyriks to be picked up and transported to the City. The City complied with the request. It didn't take long for the ship to arrive and pick up the pair. And so they flew to the City, their new home.
After some time to settle in Pyriks was brought to the Eliksni Quarters to meet with Mithrax, Kell of House Light. Pyriks hadn't seen anyone who looked like them before and listened attentively to every word he said.
He asked them what house they belonged to. They could not answer. And so he offered them something: a place in House Light, a family within the City. Pyriks could not explain it, but the word "Family" made them think, made them want, made them need. They accepted Mithrax's offer and began meeting their new family.
After they had settled in once more they began tinkering with scrap, partially out of boredom, but also because it felt so familiar to them, like they had done it a hundred times before.
This hobby eventually turned into something more serious. With the Vanguard not certain about sending Eliksni Guardians out into the field they instead offered Pyriks a position in Banshee's shop. Helping him build and repair weapons and sometimes even armor.
They and Banshee grew to be close friends in no time, bonding over the care and passion that went into what they did. Pyriks continued to help the City in their own way, with their trusted Ghost and friend Chirp by their side every step of the way.

Please gush about your favorite tibbit abiut each and everyone of your OCs and dont stop untik your satisfied❤️
Tumblr said no the first time I tried to post this, but-
Tumblr media
All my Destiny OCs are so fucking cute and funny im love them-
Talking abt Crow's interactions w others w my gf had me realize Deimos and him mirror each other with their anxiety over meeting others.
At first when I would talk abt OCs on my blog, I said I wasn't comfy talking abt him bc I haven't fleshed him out enough and that's just a blatant lie now. My boy is SHORT for a Guardian, and he's v insecure about it. If it wasn't for Faire and Atlas dragging him out of his shell he'd still be a quiet little thing that cries at the thought of human interaction. Funny enough, Faire found him at the Tower having a panic attack while trying to find the Vanguard and went "oh, precious. I need to help this one." Took him under her wing, and he hasn't left since. To make things better, he literally panicked himself a boyfriend; he met Ruin-1 on a strike and went big 😍 over the other hunter before he realized "wAIT OH NO, ICAN'TTALKTOHIM" and his poor Ghost had to hit his mentor up going "hey, can you help me set up a date between Deimos and that hunter Ruin-1?" The question gave everyone a stroke but everyone was SHOOK when they became an item.
Faire, since d1 has hit peak mom figure to others tho. She's grilled Ruin when him and Deimos first got together like "who the hell are you? What's your job? Your title? What makes you think you're good enough for him?" And Atlas had to interfere and pull her aside like "LMAO FAIRE NO, HE'S CHILL. PLEASE, DON'T PICK A FIGHT WITH HIM." When she met Crow after Atlas introduced her to the man she went "lORD, HE'S SO DAMN THIN." and has had to refrain from mother henning him to death. Ardyn-2 has once called her mom while she was clucking over Deimos who came home spooked from a strike; and she answered to it without thinking.
The OC that doesn't get enough love tho is deff Ser Mason. Who's gotten progressively more tired throughout my works 😂 my lil sis pointed out he'd get along great w Faire tho bc big parent energy solidarity. She adopts dumbass hunters, and he adopts dumbass mages and heroic spirits. He's an older Knight and honestly was like "maybe working with the Inquisition will give me a chance to stay away from shenanigans and rest." He was wrong. He was so, so wrong and he just feels old having to deal with all the bullshit. Between the demonic nonsense going on and the tyrannical Inquisition suddenly cracking down on authoritarian stances when handling mages to the point where they'll lobotomize children, which he DID NOT SIGN UP FOR. after that, he was at the tavern drinking with Bull for quite a while.
Tho don't let me fool you into thinking this means Faire is Like That when out in the field. She's not. She's a goblin and it terrifies others to the point where some outright refuse to work with her. She gets so aggressive with DPS she can hurt herself or teammates in the process, and it's a somewhat common occurrence. Unless she's in the Crucible, then she's throwing hands over the pettiest shit, like another warlock bullying someone or getting mad at their sheer buffoonery. What are you DOING running Sunshot do you have no damn common sense??? (They probably didn't, and Deimos is guilty of doing that too but she'll never know.)
I don't think I've talked much abt their sexualities tho outside of getting mad abt people being unreasonable over my choice to keep Faire single. But yeah, she's still a lesbian. Deimos is the epitome of a disaster bi, and Ardyn-2 is ace asf. Ser Mason is the 1 het OC but tbfh their orientations aren't too important. They're still good characters outside of that and I try not to make a big deal out of it.
