The train screeched into the platform. Its doors opened and passerby filed out at the two. Sören disembarked on his exit but not before bidding Marieke farewell with a grin. At that moment, she scowled at the boar. The rabbit made sure Sören witnessed her annoyance, and he returned his own glum expression.

"You should really work on reading a room," Marieke spoke, raising her voice the farther Sören moved, "that way you could make for better conversation."

"Don't analyze me. That's rude," Sören grunted.
