what the fuck. i just googled everyone’s ages from pjo/hoo. seriously, what. the actual. fuck. i haven’t read the series in forever, but i’m thinking of writing a fic and just now going over/realizing the ages?? i don’t know if this is just because i never paid attention to ages before or just didn’t remember, but i’m shook.

piper and leo and jason are only fifteen? i always thought they were sixteen (a year under percy) or seventeen like the original trio (percy, grover, annabeth). and nico’s fifteen too? what? i thought he was also sixteen, like reyna.

ALSO, SINCE WHEN THE FUCK HAS OCTAVIAN BEEN FUCKING EIGHTEEN WHAT??????!!

however, the biggest thing for me happens to be the fact that

hazel’s only THIRTEEN and she’s dating frank, who’s SIXTEEN??

like, i don’t think three years is that big an age gap, but that’d be if she was like 17/18. but this is a THIRTEEN YEAR OLD (and don’t give me that whole “she was resurrected, technically she’s blah blah blah years old” bullshit. I’M SIXTEEN, that’s a junior in high school (for americans anyway), a thirteen year old is still in MIDDLE SCHOOL. i don’t care how cute frazel is canonically (i honestly wasn’t ever really invested in their relationship, though they were a ship i hadn’t minded when i read the books. they were kinda just there but i digress), this makes me so uncomfortable.

yeah, no, sorry uncle rick, but pairing the thirteen year old with a sixteen year old is a no go on my part. so in conclusion, any percy jackson fics i happen to write, the ages are getting fixed. count on that.
