• Pearl and Marina were already thinking of having another baby; however, Marina herself was hesitant, especially since they were technically older now.

>> Everything changed, when Tuna showed up at Marina’s mentee-

• After Tuna grew on the Houzoki family, and once Tuna told Marina where they had come from: It was time for Tuna to get adopted (for financial reasons, and to give them a better life in their 20s)

Part 2: MORE of the neighbors of the lil’ town!

• Essentially, some of these dynamics were carried over from ‘Octo Order and Control’ such as teen Frye and Coconut still becoming teen parents to lil’ Shiver.

THE WIVEEEEESSASSSSSS-

A gift to the Pearlina community, and for those who love the ship AND ALSO respect my AU as well! Thank y’all’s from the bottom of my heart 💖💚✨

Lore time:

• Marina always had Disc as her own cat, before she met Pearl. Pearl was intending to marry some guy that left her heavily pregnant (which would result in Lane/Lusk’s birth)

• During her depressive pregnancy… Disc the cat would always comfort Pearl. Pearl would end up thinking of Disc as another one of her babies ❤️

• Yep! Chest Nut (or Sean) and Disc (Marina) ended up having 3 kits! 2 obvious squirrel/cat hybrid kits, and one chihuahua dog kit (the girl kit is named “Cephalo” and the boy kit is named “Crust,” whilst the chihuahua, or Pearl, is named “Fuzzball”) Fuzzball’s the runt of the litter (and so she had health complications upon her birth)

• Pearl and Marina love ALL of their kiddos, both Lane and their precious fur babies. They also took to taking care of and looking after Chest Nut as their son in law in a way

• BOTH Pearl and Marina have knowledge on animals, with Marina working closely with them as a vet, and Pearl needing to have been trained on how to care for her farm animals

HUZZAH! Pearl and Marina have adopted, everyone: Meet Tuna N. Houzoki! (LITERALLY their dynamic with Pearl and Marina below)

Lore bits on good ol’ Tuna N. Houzoki:

• They came from a rough upbringing, their parents forced them to become a doctor… When all they wanted was to study marine biology. So they ran away, and got into college where they major in Marine Biology and study under Marina’s mentoring

• Tuna’s basically confided in Marina before, when she noticed they would slack off in their work from time to time. She’s taken them under her wing as her “child” in a way. Tuna feels more comfortable talking to her about stuff

• Come the reveal when Marina *learns* about Tuna’s upbringing, and vows to basically adopt them even- which they finally agree to AFTER something harrowing happens with their biological family

• So now they have another kid in the family, so Lane’s technically got an older sibling. Pearl’s got another child, but they all basically always thought of Tuna as apart of the family, even BEFORE they were adopted legally under the Houzoki family surname

More on Tuna’s relation to the Houzoki:

• They still refer to Pearl and Marina as their names (but will occasionally drop the “mom” or “mama” terms on them, although they still feel weird about it)

• Lane and Tuna are siblings, no question. Lane wants a pet squid from Tuna lol

• Tuna also adores Disc and her family! They study how the hybrid kits behave from time to time
