#odile only made a few brief appearances but her impact on the story was huge

I’m literally sobbing at the latest Swanatello’s update. They were just two little girls and now they get to go be happy forever together with their Mom. Thank you so much for giving them such a gentle happy ending. <3 *sobs into keyboard*

THANKS!!! ; w ; I'm glad y'all liked it... when I originally imagined this part of the story out I figured there would have to be some dramatic Final Confrontation, but I really couldn't figure out how I wanted to have that happen and how I could make that work in a way that flowed well and lent to the story... And then the more I thought about it, the more I questioned if I actually needed to have a confrontation at all. If that was really the best move for Odile's character and her piece of the story.

And I ended up deciding that I felt a lot better giving her a gentle ending. Odile's a lot like Donnie. She never wanted to hurt her family. She didn't hunt Odette by choice, she did it because she was compelled to-- because she was forced to play a part by means outside of her control. I like thinking that at the end of it all, she and Odette could finally have a chance at all the things they never got to try in life. Like being sisters.
